Rose was born July 19, 1930 in Ashokan, NY, the daughter of Franklin R. and Catherine Mansfield Krom.
Funeral services are Thursday, 10:30 a.m. at the Interfaith Chapel at Tcaconic DDSO, 26 Center Circle, Wassaic, NY.
Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Dover Plains.

Edward H. Clark

Edward H. Clark, a retired carpenter, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, March 7, 2003 at Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris. he was 68.
He was the loving son the late Edward and Dorothy Clark and was born on September 20, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY.
A family statement reads, "He was a loving famiy oriented man who was proud and devoted to his family. His talents seemed limitless. A perfectionist in all he did; carpentry, plumbing, electrical, musician, artist and veteran of the US Marines. Words cannot express how much he was loved and how deeply he will be missed by those who knew him. He was a strong many who gave a courageous battle to the very end. Now he can finally have the rest he so deserves. Those whose lives he touched will not forget him."
He is survived by his loving children, Robert Clark and his wife, Victoria, of Bethel, Roy Clark and his wife, Lisa, of Monticello, Steven Clark and his wife, Tara, of Youngsville; a brother, Daniel Clark and his wife, Connie, of Arizona; nine grandchildren, Anthony, Jamie, Steven, Jessica, Jennine, Nicholas, Brittany and Troy; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Pantino, and two brothers, Robert and Thomas Clark.
The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday, March 11, from noon to 2 p.m. at Ramsay's funeral Home, 3534 State Rt. 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 11 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Roy Schaffer of the Church of the Nazarenne officiating.
Burial will follow in Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Sunset Lake Road in Liberty with full military honors.

Carlos M. Santos, an employee of the Raleigh Hotel in South Fallsburg, passed away as a result of injuries received in a motorcycle accident in Rock Hill on Tuesday, June 7, 2003. He was 20.
The son of Manuel Santos and Migdalia Garay, he was born on June 7, 1983 in Puerto Rico.
He was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Monticello, NY.
Survivors include his father, Manuel Santos of Monticello; his mother, Migdalia Garay of Hurleyville; two sisters, Jasmine Santos and Aracelis Santos, both of Hurleyville; four aunts, Josefa Garay and Maria Garay, both of Puerto Rico, Sonia Garay of Mifflintown, PA and Benita Garay of South Fathsburg; two uncles, William Garay of Puerto Rico and Hector Garay of Mifflintown, PA; and five cousins, Fabin, Luisato, Odalis, Julie, Eidy, Luis Miguel and Elizabeth.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 55 St. John St., Monticello.

Oscar A. Lopez Sr. of Newburgh, an assistant manager for Lumber Co., died Sunday, June 15, 2003 at Nyack Hospital. He was 31.
The son of Hector Rubiano and Maria Trinidad, he worn born February 2, 1972 in Veracruz, Mexico.
Survivors include his wife, Yesica Majano Lopez; one son, Oscar A. Lopez Jr.; two daughters, Victoria I. Lopez and Kayla N. Lopez, all at home; his parents, Hector and Maria Rubiano of Town of Newburgh; one brother, Hector J. Rubiano Jr. of Town of Newburgh; one sister, Mayra M. Lopez of New Windsor; one uncle, Antonio Trinidad of Newburgh; one aunt, Odilia Trinidad of Newburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday, June 19 and Friday, June 20 at the Hudson Valley Funeral Home, 239 Quassaick Ave., Route 94, New Windsor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 55 Grand St., Newburgh.

Adrienne Staib died Monday, June 16, 2003 at Kingston Hospital. She was 80 years old.
She was born November 13, 1922 in the Bronx. She was the daughter of Henry D. and Lydia Sehlmeyer Kolb. On June 27, 1942 she married George Staib who died January 19, 1999.
During World War II, she worked for Hamlin Radio, a manufacturer for the Navy. She also worked for Housewares Manufacturing in Tivoli as a seamstress. She worked as a cook at Ward Manor in Tivoli and as a housekeeper for Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson and Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck.
She was a member of the Quarryville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by twoi sons, Edward of Saugerties and John of Claverack, NY; two daughters, Margaret Lasher of Bou Mountain and Linda Staib of Engelwood, FL; two brothers, Henry Kolb of Ocala, FL and Robert Kolb of Old Tappan, NY. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Edward, Cynthia, Brian and Tommy; and three great grandchildren, Kristen, Amanda and Thomas.
A procession will form 10:15 a.m. Saturday at Buono Funeral Service, Inc. Main Street Chapel, Saugerties, and then proceed to Quarryville United Methodist Church where a 10 a.m. funeral service will be held. Rev. Linda McEarthron, Pastor of Quarryville United Methodist , will officiate.
Friends may call Friday, 7-9 p.m. at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street Chapel, Saugerties. Cremation will be at the convenience of the family.

Mrs. Jacqueline "Jackie" Pedersen of Barryville, NY, a retired department manager for R-Martin, Matamoras, PA and 20-year resident of the area, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at hoem with her family by her side. She was 64.
She was born September 2, 1938 in Scranton, PA, the daughter of teh late John and the late Louise Parlapiano Lawrence.
She attended St. Anthony's of Padua R.C. Church, Yulan, NY.
A family statement read: "Jackie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be missed dearly by those of us whop knew her well."

Dr. Nathan Stein of Port Jervis, NY, a retired dentist and longimte resident of the area, died Friday, June 13, 2003 at his home. He was 89.
He was born February 15, 1914 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Wolf and the late Lena Stein.
He was a member of Temple Beth-El in both Port Jervis and Palm Beach, Fla, where he sang inthe choir for many years. He was also an avid Bridge player.
Dr. Stein graduated from New York University and the University of Buffalo Dental School. He also served as a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corp as a dentist during World War II in several European countries and was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Distinguished Unit Badge.
Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Audrey Orenstein Stein at home; a son, Robert A. Stein and his companion, Sherri Koff of W. Palm Beach, FL; two daughters, Arlene Stein and her husband, Dr. Robert Ginsburg, Littletown, CO, and Sheryl Stein and her husband, Moshe Ratson, of New York City; a sister, Ruth Solhn and her husband, Al, of Baca Raton, FL; four grandchildren, Adan Ginsburg, Samantha Ginsburg, Zachary Ginsburg and Lee Ratson; also niecves and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Abe Stein and Charles Stein.

Mr. Lester J. "Shakey" Hujus of Port Jervis, NY, a former horse groomer at the Mount Hope Training Facility and lifetime resident of the area, died Friday, June 13, 2003 at Orange REgional Medical Center Horton Campus after a long and corageous battle with Alpha I Anti Trypson Deficiency.
He was born October 16, 1957 in Port Jervis, NY, the son of Shirley Cross Hujus and the late Richard Hujus, Sr.
Mr. Hujus was a 1975 graduate of Minisink Valley High School and a veteranof the United States Air Force.
A family statement reads: "Lewter was a devoted husband and father who always put his family first. He will always be remembers for his outrageous sense of humor. He was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins and WWE Wrestling. He will be fondly remembered by all.

He was the widower of the late Rena Ann Bensinger Jagger; she died June 9, 1980.

He was born February 22, 1909 in Austria, the son of the late Wasyl and the late Theresa Kryspin Sauschuck.
He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Port Jervis, NY; Brotherhood of Railroad Caremen; former member of Delaware Engine Co. No. 2 and former First Ward councilman and fire commissioner.
A family statement read, "George was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was always there for his family, would do anything for them and will be dearly missed."
Surviving are his beloved wife of 67 years, Catherine Melnyk Sauschuck at home; a son, George J. Sauschuck, JKr. of Port Jervis, NY; a daughter, Elaine Decker and her husband, James, of Greenville Township, NY; a brother, Walter Sauschuck of Oakland, OR; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.

Ernst "Ernie" Fick died Monday, June 9, 2003 at home. He was 67 years old. He was born August 17, 1935 in Flushing, Queens, the son or Ernst and Katherine Thomford Fick. His former wife, Gwendolyn Perrone Fick, died in 1991.
He was the president of Eveready Beverages, Inc. He attended Saugerties High School and Ithaca College, where he excelled at football. Since its inception, he has sponsored a Saugerties girls minor softball league team as well as various other athletic teams in Saugerties. He was a life member of Centerville Fire Co. He was a member of the Blue Kats. He was a former member of the Saugerties Board of Education. He also served on the board of several area banks. He was a member of the Saugerties Sports Hall of Fame. He was a volunteer at Kingston Hospital.
He is survived by two daughters, Chrstine Tomaino and her husband, Tony, of Millis, MA, nd Erica Guerin and her husband, Steven, of Saugerties; three grandchildren, Michael, Kaitlyn and Marissa Tomaino. He is also survived by a dear friend,Vicki Ross of Saugerties.
Funeral services will be held 8 p.m., Friday, at Buono Funeral Service, Inc., Main Street Chapel, Saugerties, NY. Rev. John Needham, Pastor Emeritus of the Plattekill Reform Church, will officiate. Internment will be private.

Mr. James R. "Duke" Champion, age 56, of the Town of Newburgh, died on Sunday, June 8, 2003 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital - Newburgh. He was a 32-year resident of the area.
Mr. Champion was a salesman at S.W. Cavo Appliances in Poughkeepsie, NY.
The son of the late Andrew, and Ethel Shadell Champion who survives, he was born on April 16, 1946 in Hackensack, NJ. He was married to Carol Ellison.
Mr. Champion was a member of the Classic Cruisers Car Club of Dutchess County.
Survivors include his wife, Carol, at home; his mother, Ethel of Fayetville, North Carolina; one son, John Champion and his partner, Nicole D. Groodt, of Highland, NY; one daughter, Jessica Champion of New Windsor; one sister, Henrietta Thetford of Sanson, NC; a grandson, Andrew Cutroneo; a granddaughter, Arielle Curtroneo; and several nieces and nephews.
A family statement reads,"James was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He ws also a car enthusiast."
A memorial service will be offered for family and friends on Thursday, June 12 at 1 p.m. at Engel Funeral home, Inc., 5319 Route 9W, Newburgh. The Reverend Edmond Desueza will officate.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Donald Baker

Donald Baker, a lifetime Liberty resident, died on Sunday, June 8, 2003 in White Sulphur Springs. he was 87.
The son of the late Lewis and Anna Hunt Baker, he was born on June 1, 1916 in Liberty.
Mr. Baker was a former Sullivan County treasurer, a position that he held for 24 years. He was a member of the Liberty Elks #1545; the Liberty Masonic Lodge #521 F&AM; a 60-year member of the JC Young House Co. #1; Clarence HoytPost #9217 VFW, Liberty; and the Russell D. Sprague Post of the American Legion, Liberty. He was also a World War 2 veteran and a Purple Heart recipient.
He was predeceased by his wife, Agnes Salver Baker, who died in 1998, and by his son, Donald Baker, in 2000.
Burial will be next to his wife in St. Peter's Cemetery, Liberty.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Helen O'Fina, of Middletown, died June 5, 2003 at Orange Regional Medical Facility at Horton. She was 82.
She was born in Riverhead, NY on October 9, 1920 to Stefan and Anna Novicka.
She was the widow of Frank O'Fina.
She retired as a machine operator for GenPac, Inc., Middletown.
She is survived by threed daughters,Jean Danowski, Nancy Scarzafava and her husband Eugene, and Rose Rajnert; four grandchildren, Tina Turner and her husband, Doug, Stanley Rajnert, Teresa Hadden and Sandra Kanoff and her husband, Harry; six great grandchildren. Steve, Cori, Shaun, Alexis, Amber and Jasmine, all of Middletown; her sister, Mary Wisneiwski of Allentown, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation was held at Oxford Hills Crematory, Chester.
