Services for former Westland resident Glen Cratty, 87, of Meridan were May 13 in Uht Funeral Home with burial at Glen Eden Cemetery, Livonia. Officiating was the Rev. Robert Schultz.
Mr. Cratty was born Feb. 11, 1915, and died May 10, 2002, in East Lansing. He was a plumber.
Surviving are his daughter, Carole (Bob) Boyes; brother, Charles Cratty; grandson, Todd Boyes; granddaughter, Tracey (J.B.) Audi; great-grandson, Jack Audi; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cratty was preceded in death by his wives, Margaret and Pearl; brothers, Don, Robert and Austin; and sister, Olive Lensky.

HENRY JAY BURR
Services for Henry Burr, 73, of Westland were May 17 in Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, Farmington with burial at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, Novi. Officiating was the Rev. James B. Wright.
Mr. Burr was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Detroit, and died May 15, 2002, in Westland. He was a construction worker.
Surviving are his sons, Joseph Burr of Westland and Mark Burr of Westland; daughters, Elizabeth Burr of Farmington Hills, Susan Lundgreen of North Carolina and Laura Burr of Ohio; brother, Robert (Patricia) Burr of California; and two grandchildren, Troy Lundgreen and Natassia Lundgreen.
Mr. Burr was preceded in death by his wife, Delores (June 29, 1998).

MARION D. COLVIN
Services for Marion Colvin, 76, of Canton will be 11 a.m. Friday, in Schrader-Howell Funeral Home in Plymouth followed by burial at Riverside Cemetery, Plymouth.
Mr. Colvin was born Sept. 11, 1925, in Tiffin, Ohio, and died May 14, 2002, in Canton Township. He came to the Plymouth community in the 1960's from Kalamazoo. Mr. Colvin was district manager for the Social Security Administration, retiring after 35 years of service. After his retirement he worked for General Filters in Novi.
Mr. Colvin served in the armed services during World War II and was a life-member of the V.F.W. in Northville.
Surviving are: his wife, Bette; children Jeffrey (Suzanne) of White Lake, Frederic Bauer of Farmington, Lori (Brian) Bucalo of White Lake, Nora Bauer of Lincoln Park, Lisa (Thomas) Lewandowski of Canton and Kimberly Kozachenko of Westland; sister, Mary (James) Craven of Tucson, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services for former Garden City resident Ralph DesJardins, 83, of Canton were May 14 in John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home with burial at Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia. Officiating was the Rev. Donald Gregory from Faith Baptist Church.
Mr. DesJardins was born Jan. 21, 1919, in Detroit, and died May 10 in Farmington Hills. He was a truck driver. He was a Garden City resident 40 years before moving to Canton.
Surviving are his daughters, Ruth (Benjamin) Sanders of Arizona, Carol (Gary) Sewell of Canton, Alice (Donald) Bell of Westland and Linda (Jack) Chenault of Westland; brothers, Kenneth, Russell and Wilbur; sisters, Ruth and Grace; five grandchildren, Amy, Holly, Heidi, Melissa and Sarah; and two great-grandchildren.
FRANCES IRMA KIELTY
Services for Frances Kielty, 80, of Westland were May 11 in Vermeulen Funeral Home with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit. Officiating was the Rev. Leonard Partensky.
Miss Kielty was born May 6, 1922, in Detroit, and died May 8, in Livonia. She lived in Westland for many years. She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. She was a senior clerk 38 years for Ford Motor Company.
Miss Kielty was a 1941 graduate of Saint Gregory High School. She was a reading tutor for Michigan Literacy Program. Miss Kielty received a merit award in honor of the many volunteer hours she donated at St. Mary Hospital.
ANNABELLE ELLER
Services for Annabelle Eller, 69, of Westland will be 10 a.m. Friday, in Uht Funeral Home with burial at Glenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
A homemaker, Mrs. Eller was born May 26, 1932, and died May 14, 2002, in Garden City.
Surviving are her children, Erma (Patrick) Shark, William (Delores), Robert (Rebecca) and Deborah Backhaus; brother, Melvin Stevens; sister, Betty Spink; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; and companion of 28 years, Paul Barber.
CRISSTIE M. GWIZDAK
A funeral Mass for Crisstie Gwizdak of Westland was May 13 in St. Mary Catholic Church of Wayne.
Miss Gwizdak died May 8, 2002.

WILLIAM EDGAR LUDWIG

A mechanic, Mr. Ludwig was born Dec. 15, 1945, and died April 18, 2002, in Wayne.

JAMES WILLIAM BLAIR JR.
Services for former Westland resident James Blair Jr., 77, of Canton will be 11 a.m. Saturday, in Vermeulen Funeral Home, 980 N. Newburgh Road, Westland. Officiating will be the Rev. Neil Swanger.
Mr. Blair was born March 13, 1926, in Detroit, and died May 8, 2002, in Farmington Hills. Employed by Ford Motor Company for 23 years, he was also a restaurant owner 1968-1983. A graduate of Fordson High School, Mr. Blair earned a bachelors degree in traffic management.
Mr. Blair was a member of Newburgh Methodist Church, First United Methodist Church of Dearborn and Mt. Olivet Methodist Church.
Mr. Blair served in the Navy during World War II. His rank was Water Tender 3rd Class. He received Victory medals and a good conduct award.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Emily;children Thomas of Canton, Pamela Witte and Leslie, both of Westland; sister, May Prisby of Canton; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great- great-grandchild.

JOHN THOMAS MCCONNELL
A memorial service for John McConnell, 77, of Westland was today, (Thursday) at First Methodist Church of Wayne.
Mr. McConnell was born July 15, 1924, in McDonald, Ohio, and died May 12, 2002, in Garden City. He was a salesman for Kosin Clothes and a World War II veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Helen; children, Barbara (Robert) Burke, John, Kathleen (Richard) Phillips, Terrence (Susan), Randy (Andrew) Williams, Jeffrey (Barbara), Margaret Hope and Pennie Russ; one brother; two sisters; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. McConnell is also survived by his friend, Ed.

WILLIAM H. HICKEY
Services for William H. Hickey, 84, of Wayne, were Tuesday, May 7, from Vermeulen Funeral Home with the Rev. Willet J. Harrington II officiating.
Mr. Hickey was born Feb. 23, 1918, in Fall River, Mass. and died May 2 in Westland. He was an iron worker and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. in World War II.
Survivors include his sons, Jack (Jan) Hickey of Florida and Patrick (Sandy) Hickey of Stockbridge; daughter Jill Currie of Wayne; sisters Elizabeth Pierce of Plymouth, Helen Medeiros of Westland and Ann Boik of Webberville, and brother Walter Hickey of Florida.
Preceding in death were his parents, John and Johanna Hickey. Cremation rites were accorded.
JUDITH LYNN BRODZIK
Services for Judith Brodzik, 34, of Plymouth were held April 29 at St. Kenneth Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph S. Mallia officiating. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
Mrs. Brodzik died following a three-year fight with breast cancer.
Mrs. Brodzik was born June 7, 1967, in Southfield and died April 24 in Plymouth. She was a three-year resident of Plymouth, formerly of Commerce Township and Northville. She enjoyed water and snow skiing, horseback riding, fitness training and running and was an assistant Brownie Troop leader, and was a volunteer at All Saints Catholic School in Canton.
She was a Eucharistic Minister to the sick at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, as well as a Stephens Ministry counselor, and had been a member of that parish for 11 years, formerly a member of Our Lady of Grace parish in Redford. Judy graduated from Redford Thurston High School in 1985 and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Systems Engineering from U of M Dearborn, and later her Masters Degree. She worked at Mazda in Flat Rock and New Venture Gear in Troy.
Survivors include husband, Steven J. Brodzik of Plymouth; daughter, Nicole Lynn Brodzik; son, Justin Andrew Brodzik; parents, Ted (Virginia) Dul; sisters, Barbara (Greg) Barbaza, Patricia (Rocco) Krcatovich, Janice (Leonard) Kisner, Cynthia (Dennis) Marley, Dr. Carrie (David Lubanski) Dul; and many nieces and nephews.

DOUGLAS LEROY TREDINNICK
Services for Douglas LeRoy Tredinnick, 76, of Higgins Lake, Mich., were Friday, April 26, at St. Hubert Catholic Church in Higgins Lake. The Rev. Greg McCallum officiated.
Mr. Tredinnick was born Oct. 11, 1925, in Madison, Wis., and died April 22 at home. He was retired from the City of Westland as superintendent of the water and sewer department. He retired in 1990 and had lived in Higgins Lake since moving from Novi in 1992.
Mr. Tredinnick served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Hubert Catholic Church and a life member of the Marine Corps League and life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4034-Houghton Lake Heights. He was also a life member of the Knights of Columbus in Prudenville.
His memberships also include the St. Hubert Men's Club and American Legion Post 96-Higgins Lake.
He is survived by his wife, Doris, to whom he was married on Sept. 14, 1946; four children, Sandra (Dennis) Mahon of Taylor, Marsha (Gary) Hocker of Constantine, Mark (Carolyn) Tredennick of South Lyon and Patricia (Carlton) Shelton of Rochester Hills. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Malva (Gene) Lindevar of Green Bay, Wis., Claire Alderete of Roseville and Barbara (Steven) Layman of Rosemont, Minn.; and a brother, Miles Allen of Madison, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald.
Burial will be Monday, April 29, at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi.

DORIS J. MALIK
Doris J. Malik, 78, of Plymouth, who died April 21 in Livonia, will have private family services.
She was born April 25, 1923, in Sumpter Township. She was a homemaker and lifelong Plymouth resident who graduated from Plymouth High School in 1941. Her hobbies were square dancing and round dancing.
Surviving are daughters, Bonnie Quarandillo of Grand Rapids, Mich., Toni Johnstone of Northville and Janet (James) Agius of Georgia. A sister, Donna Dawson of Westland, also survives.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials are suggested to Angela Hospice in Livonia.

Services for Judith H. Keck, 58, of Westland are today, Thursday, April 25, at Uht Funeral Home in Westland.
Mrs. Keck was born Oct. 2, 1943, and died April 22 in Garden City. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Keck; sons, James W. Keck and John W. (Erin) Keck; three grandchildren; one brother; and one sister.

Services for Warren Spencer Bevier, 75, of Westland were Wednesday, April 24. Cremation rites were accorded.
Mr. Bevier was born May 24, 1926, and died April 22 in Wayne. He was employed as a foreman.
He is survived by his son, David (Sandra) Bevier; daughters, Susan (Rick) Marion, Patricia (Thomas) Dempsey, Rosemary (Ronald) Hubbard and Peggy (Ronald) Marz; one brother; one sister; 24 grandchildren; and 59 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Meier was born April 23, 1924, in Detroit and died April 19 in Garden City. He was employed in law enforcement with the Wayne County Sheriff's Department.
He is survived by his wife, Judith; daughters, Eleanor Addison, Jody and Jeanne; sons, Emory (Linda) and Gary (Katherine); sister, Marilyn Refalo; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Koslowski was born Feb. 4, 1917, in Detroit and died April 18 in Dearborn. He was employed as a truck driver in public education. He was a Lutheran, and a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.
He is survived by his sons, Perry (Nancy) Koslowski of Westland and Dwight (Gail) Koslowski of Westland; stepson, Richard (Sharon) Thurman of Nokomis, Fla.; sister, Eleanor Lasater of St. Louis, Mo.; and grandchildren, Rachel, Richard Jr., Steven, Cindy, James, Jeffrey, Rachael, Martina and Jake.

MARY T. TARNACKI
Services for Mary T. Tarnacki, 77, of Ypsilanti were Monday, April 22, at Vermeulen Funeral Home in Westland. The Rev. Leonard Partensky officiated.
Mrs. Tarnacki was born May 27, 1924, in Lowell, Mass., and died April 19 in Ypsilanti. She was employed as a bartender. She was a Catholic.
She was a 30-year resident of Westland, living the last 10 years in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Tarnacki; and parents, Paul and Mary Martin. Surviving are her daughter, Carleen (Art) Baumgartner of Belle Vernon, Pa.; sons, Ramer L. (Martha) Biggs III of Ypsilanti and Harry W. Seiber Jr. of Ypsilanti; brother, Edward (Gloria) Martin of Ridgefield, Ct.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Cadillac Memorial Gardens West, Westland.

BRUCE ADAIR COLLINS
Services for Bruce Adair Collins, 64, of Saline were Saturday, April 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor.
Mr. Collins was born Oct. 21, 1937, in Milan, Mich., to James and Alene (Adair) Collins. He was married to June Collins, who preceded him in death. He married Dorothea (Dolly) Collins April 12, 1980, and she survives.
Mr. Collins died April 11 at home after a short battle with melanoma. He was a meat cutter for many years prior to buying HI Johnson Farm Implement Co. He worked as parts/service manager for A&L Parts and Steeb Dodge and as a mechanic for Steeb Dodge and, most recently, with the City of Saline.
He loved playing trombone for the Dexter Community Band, the Ann Arbor Concert Band and the Saline Big Band and also held board positions with those organizations. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Collins is survived by his mother, Alene Collins; brother, Robert (Karen) Collins; daughters, Catherine (Robin) Enck of Westland, Sandra (Walter) Emrick of Ypsilanti, Joyce Collins (Steve Cameron) of Adrian, and Suzanne (William) Compton of Highland; grandchildren, Andy, James, Mitchell, Katie and John Enck, Teresa (Chris) Donker, Nathan Van Atta, Luke and Beth Cameron and Rebecca Compton; and many other family members.
Visitation and viewing was April 14 at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Trinity Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor.

Mr. Scarrow was born Dec. 16, 1949 and died April 9 in Westland. He was employed in glass and trim.
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey C. Scarrow; brother, Tom (Sherry) Scarrow; sister, Susan Daniel; granddaughters, Holli Scarrow and Emily Scarrow; nieces, Michele Hoth and Patricia Neuenschwander; and nephews, Joe Scarrow and Critter Daniel.
