Edmund Joseph Moix Sr.
Edmund Joseph Moix Sr., 60, of Conway died Monday (March 20, 2000) at Conway Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 11, 1939, in Conway, a son of the late Felix and Christine Imboden Moix, he was a retired accountant from White Consolidated Industries, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the CRAs, and served 11 years in the Arkansas National Guard.
Survivors are his wife, Mary Ann Pruss Moix; two sons, Edmund Moix Jr. of Rogers and Richard Moix of Conway; a daughter, Bridget Moix of Heber Springs; four brothers, Felix Moix Jr., Ralph Moix and Herman Moix, all of Conway, and Dennis Moix of North Little Rock; five sisters, Lucille Kordsmeier, Emogene Hofherr and Carolyn Strack, all of Conway, Evelyn McKinnon of Jonesboro and Loretta Madden of Little Rock; five grandchildren; and one stepgrandchild.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Cemetery in North Little Rock.
Pallbearers will be Charles Moix, Danny Joe Kordsmeier, Mark Moix, Dwayne Hofherr, Jay Moix, Jim Moix, Keith McKinnon and Brian Strack. His nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. today at the church. Arrangements are by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph School Endowment Fund, the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston or CARTI of Conway.

Ralph Nolan 'Poke' Cauley
Ralph Nolan "Poke" Cauley, 65, of Bee Branch, father of Cathy Dean of Greenbrier, died Wednesday (March 22, 2000).
Born Sept. 19, 1934, in Bee Branch, son of the late Rowe and Corine Joyner Cauley, he was a retired truck driver from AMPT and Melton Trucklines, and an Army veteran of World War II.
Other survivors are a son, Tommy Nolan Cauley of Bee Branch; two stepdaughters, Connie Spiller of Holland and Julie Dickerson of Bismark (Hot Spring County); a sister, Carolyn Thomas of Carson City, Nevada; the mother of his children, Barbara Cauley; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bee Branch Baptist Church with Johnny Evans Sr., Johnny Evans Jr. and Lester Carl Nixon officiating. Burial will be in Bee Branch Cemetery by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton.
Pallbearers will be J.D. Payne, Joe Cargile, Ray Treat, Tommy McCarley, Jim Moss, Sammy Collums, Roger Coffman and Johnny Bolden.

Mrs. Geraldine Hicks
Mrs. Geraldine Danner Hicks, 74, of Quitman died Monday (March 22, 1999) at her home.
Born Aug. 22, 1924, in Bethesda (Independence County), a daughter of the late Winford L. and Eula Hill Danner, she was a former resident of Little Rock and member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors are her husband, I. L. "Pete" Hicks; two daughters, Ava M. Hicks Hornbeck of Little Rock and Angela L. Hicks of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; a son, David F. Hicks of Little Rock; and three sisters, Velma L. Wooley of Batesville, Helen M. Belt of Wayne, Mich., and Norma L. Krug of Colorado Springs, Colo.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth in Little Rock. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice Program, Cleburne County Health Department, 115 West Clinton, Heber Springs, Ark., 72543.

Mildred Graham
Mrs. Mildred Graham, 86, of Leslie (Searcy County), mother of Rodgers D. Graham of Conway, died Wednesday (April 14, 1999) at a Marshall nursing home.
Born June 23, 1912, in Leslie, a daughter of the late Rev. Thomas J. and Rosa Lee Smith Wilson, she was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Leslie since 1924. She was also preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Other survivors are her husband, Rodgers C. Graham; three daughters, Charlene Keller of Hughes (St. Francis County), Georgia Weeks of Leslie and Sharon Drewry of Marshall; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Leslie with Bryan Sikes and Joe Bagwell officiating.
Burial will be in Elberta Cemetery by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home of Marshall.
Pallbearers will be Joe Lewis, Merl Lewis, Leon Wilson, Travis Graham, Mitchell Begley and Gene Phillips.

Jason Clements
Jason Clements, 23, of Conway died Tuesday (April 20, 1999) at Conway Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 17, 1976, in Gulfport, Miss., a son of Cecil V. Clements and Janet L. Glover Michaels, both of Conway, he was a student at Petit Jean Technical College and a graduate of Conway High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Cecil Clements and Kenneth Glover.
Other survivors are a sister, Jenny Walls of Conway; and two grandmothers, Oval Paty and Mary Glover, both of Conway.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Collie officiating. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Wes Craiglow, Justin Cato, Danny Jones, Craig Cato, Corey Myers and Kenny Glover Jr.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

William L. Hoggard Sr.
William Lester Hoggard Sr., 72, of Portsmouth, Ohio, a native of Enola, died Friday (April 23, 1999) at his home.
Born July 29, 1926, a son of the late Thomas Outler and Myrtle Lasley Hoggard, he was a retired sheet metal worker and Air Force veteran. He was a Mason, a York Rite and attended Mabert Road Baptist Church.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Aubrey Hoggard, and two sisters, Elma Poe and Pauline Lasley.
Survivors are his wife, Ethel Lester Hoggard; two sons, William Hoggard Jr. of Peebles, Ohio, and Thomas V. Hoggard of Portsmouth; a daughter, Susie Ratcliff of Franklin Furnace, Ohio; four sisters, Reba Gadberry and Jewel Heffington, both of Enola, Gretel Flocchini of Carlotta, Calif., and Eura Mae Pommer of New Boston, Texas; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday at Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth with the Rev. Jack Williams and the Rev. Ron Blevins officiating. Burial was in Edgewood Abbey Mausoleum at Memorial Burial Park with military honors by the James Dickey Post 23 of the American Legion.

Harvenious H. 'Bo' Smith
Harvenious H. "Bo" Smith, 82, of Conway died Wednesday (April 28, 1999) at North Little Rock Veteran's Administration Hospital.
Born Aug. 21, 1916, in Bee Branch, a son of John Douglas and Lexi McFarlan Smith and widower of Lucille Torrence Smith, he was an automobile mechanic, an Army veteran, a P.H.A. Mason and a member of Mount Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors are three sons, John E. Smith of Newport News, Va., and Roscoe H. Smith and D. Ray Smith, both of Conway; three daughters, Dorthy Boulingy of Savannah, Ga., Faye Miller of Los Angeles, Calif., and Janice K. Smith of Greenbrier; and a sister, Onighter Morris of Kansas City, Kan.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Grove Baptist Church in Greenbrier with the Rev. T. R. Tyus officiating. Burial will be in Mount Grove
Cemetery.
Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Acklin Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Johnson, John Smith, Brian Bouligny, Roscoe Smith Jr., Frederic Wortham, Shuan Smith, Floyd Wilson and Charles O. Smith.

Mrs. Winters
Mrs. Grace Chambers Winters, 89, of Lake Cormorant, Miss., died Thursday (April 29, 1999) at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis.
Born Sept. 28, 1909, in Centerville (Yell County), a daughter of Albert and Mary Etta Sanders Chambers and widow of Herman Winters, she was a homemaker and member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors are a daughter, Sue Winters Davis of Lake Cormorant; a brother, Opie Chambers of Olive Branch, Miss.; three granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Monday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Talmadge Lane officiating. Burial will be in McNew Cemetery in Greenbrier.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ruth Hazel Robinson
Mrs. Ruth Hazel "Maw Maw" Robinson, 87, of West Monroe, La., mother of Emmett Johnson of Quitman and Carolyn Potts of Greenbrier, died Thursday (April 29, 1999) at her residence.
Born July 28, 1911, widow of Archie H. Robinson, she was an employee at the Conway Human Development Center, a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Faith Community Nazarene Church in West Monroe.
Other survivors are 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. today at Nazarene Church of Greenbrier with Lynn Johnson, Ronnie Allen and Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will be in McNew Cemetery in Greenbrier.
Pallbearers will be Troy Potts, Larry Johnson, Cody Johnson, Rusty Johnson, Shane Allen and Byron Wright.

Mrs. Anna Ruth Farrar
Mrs. Anna Ruth Farrar, 84, of Conway died Thursday (April 29, 1999) at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
Born Aug. 20, 1914, in Farmington (Washington County), a daughter of the Rev. Charles S. and Ida Mae McWhorter Farmer and widow of W. E. Bill Farrar, she was a retired owner-operator of a room-and-board home for university students in Fayetteville, where she was known to many as "Granny" or "Wishbone." She was also a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors are a son, Douglas Rye of Mabelvale; a daughter, Glenna Schimmel of Cleveland, Okla.; a brother, James H. Farmer; two stepdaughters, Christine Smiley of Georgia and Junaita Loy of Malvern; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are 1 p.m. Monday at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith with the Rev. Don Chandler officiating.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. today at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church in Conway or the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.

Fletcher C. Gault
Fletcher C. Gault, 76, of Greenbrier died Friday (April 30, 1999) at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
Born Oct. 9, 1922, in Greenbrier, a son of Calvin and Ollie Simpson Gault, he was a retired construction worker, a World War II veteran and a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Wooster. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Gault.
Survivors are his wife, Ruth Lee Halcrombe; a son, Aaron Gault of Conway; two daughters, Ruby Walker of Springfield (Conway County) and Ollie Miller of Arlington, Texas; a foster daughter, Bettye Williams of Los Angeles, Calif.; four sisters, Marlee Ester of Levy, Anna Jackson of Pine Bluff, Mildred Kuye of Teaneck, N.J., and Eva Ealy of Greenbrier; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements will be announced by Acklin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Elsie Mahar Compton
Mrs. Elsie Mahar Compton, 80, of Dallas, born in Republican, died Friday (April 30, 1999) in Forney, Texas.
Born March 1, 1919, a daughter of William Thomas and Virda Belle Henderson Mahar and widow of Daniel Forrest Compton, she was a dietitian at Baptist Medical Center in Dallas.
Survivors are a daughter, Carolyn Sue Anderson of Pampa, Texas; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 3 p.m. Monday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Richard Elmer Bailey
Richard Elmer Bailey, 84, of Clinton, brother of Charles M. Bailey of Conway, died Monday (May 8, 2000) at McClellan Veterans Hospital.
Born March 6, 1916, in Bee Branch, a son of the late Samuel Marion and Maggie Lena Osborne Bailey, he retired from the U.S. Army a Master Sergeant after serving in World War II and Korea from 1939 to 1957. He was also a retired gun repairman.
He was also preceeded in death by a son, Glen Edward Bailey; two sisters, Gladys Bailey and Florence Bailey; and six brothers, Steve Bailey, James Bailey, Sam Bailey, Johnie Bailey, Albert Bailey and David Bailey.
He is also survived by one son, Richard Thomas Bailey of Connecticut; four sisters, Mae Badgley and Dessie Sprague of California, Fanny Smith of Oklahoma and Lucy Jurgensen of Nebraska.
Interment will be in Colony Cemetery and cremation was arranged by Roller McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton.

Mrs. Daisy Rickett
Mrs. Daisy Rickett, 82, of Enola, died Saturday (May 13, 2000) at her home.
Born Feb. 1, 1918, in Mount Vernon, a daughter of the late Tom and Mary Pearce Beene, she was a homemaker and a member of Crossroads Church of Christ.
She was also preceded in death by eight brothers and three sisters.
Survivors are her husband, S. A. Rickett; two daughters, Elizabeth Bowie and Anna Breeding, both of Enola; a brother, Luther Beene of Greenbrier; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Enola Church of Christ with Mr. Scott Hairston officiating. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be James Griffith, Dib Beene, David Heffington, Lynn Rickett, Lewis Hodge and C. D. Hodge.

Raymond C. Thomas
Raymond C. Thomas, 76, of Crane, Mo., father of Ronnie Matthews of Conway, died Thursday (May 20, 1999) in his home.
After retiring from farming, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Scholten Church of Christ. He was a veteran of World War II, where he was awarded the Bronze Star and the Combat Infantry Badge.
Raymond was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita S. Thomas, his parents, a sister, Lena Thomas, a five brothers, Jock, Bill, Steve, Virgil and Newton Thomas.
Other survivors are his second wife, Emma Lou Thomas; two other sons, J. Harold Thomas of Kansas City, Mo., and Michael Thomas of Kearney, Mo.; three daughters, Janice Crouch of El Paso, Texas, Rita Thomas of Nixa, Mo. and Terri Luna of Springfield, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. today in Scholten Church of Christ at Crane, Mo., with Art Voyles officiating. Burial will be in Bowling Chapel Cemetery at Crane, Mo., by Manlove-Stumpff Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fair Haven Children's Home, Strafford, Mo., and the American Heart Association.

Jerome Mitchell
Jerome Mitchell, 42, of Conway died Tuesday (May 18, 1999) in Conway.
Born Sept. 17, 1956, in Clarendon (Monroe County), a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Mitchell, he was a machinist fabricator, an employee of Tranmanufacturing Engineering and a member of the Greater Archie View Baptist Church in Little Rock.
Survivors are his grandmother, Tyree Jackson of Bakerfield, Calif.; his father; a daughter, J. Rone Mitchell of Stuttgart; four sisters, Thelma Sims of Roe (Monroe County), Velma Mitchell of Irving, Texas, Evon Madden of Fairfield, Texas, Demetrice Crumley of South Carolina and Maitha Mitchell of Little Rock; and three brothers, Michael Mitchell of Brinkley and Glenn Mitchell of Vallijo, Ca.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today in Liberty Missionary Baptist Church at Lookout with Rev. James W. Rendley officiating.
Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery at Lookout by Relerford & Son Funeral Home of Stuttgart.

Edward Leon Douglas
Edward Leon Douglas, 74, of Damascus, died Thursday (May 20, 1999).
Born March 4, 1925, in Lake Village, a son of the late Charles and Curley Davidson Douglas, he was retired from North American Phillips where he worked in maintenance for 32 years. He was a member of Damascus First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Earnestine Douglas.
Survivors are his wife, Joyce Douglas; a son, Eddie Douglas of Little Rock; a daughter, Christeen Trent of Damascus; three brothers, Arlis Douglas, Kenneth Douglas and Donald Douglas; two sisters, Stella Douglas and Faye Douglas; a stepbrother, Leonard Davidson; three stepchildren, Gary Holland, Carol Harral and Lisa Kuykendall; three grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services were today at Damascus First Baptist Church with Tim Boatright officiating. Burial was in Lloyd Cemetery by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Clinton.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Hall, Steve Magee, Jimmie Magee, Chad Douglas, Tommie Tindall, Freddie Tindall, Gary Holland and Sam Massey.

H. E. 'Boss' Causey
Hughie Edgar "Boss" Causey, 81, of Conway, died Saturday (May 22, 1999).
Born April 17, 1918, a son of the late Louis and Catherine Snow Causey, he was a retired truck driver for Jones Truck Lines and a Baptist.
Survivors are his wife, Clara Causey; three sons, Deloin Causey of Alma (Crawford County), Larry Causey of Damascus and Don Causey of Mayflower; a daughter, Mary Jane Causey of Conway; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were today at Lemley Funeral Chapel in Atkins with the Rev. Ron Beaver officiating. Burial was in Bells Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Howard Caudle, Benjamin Causey, Jacob Causey, James Davis, Danny Davis, Lanney Caudle, Michael Caudle and Kevin Causey.

Arnold 'Swede' Larson
Arnold "Swede" Larson, 81, of Conway, died Saturday (May 22, 1999).
Born Sept. 6, 1917, in New York, widower of Agnes Jewell Chrisman Larson, he was a mail carrier for the Postal Service in California.
Survivors are two stepdaughters, Vera Lockard of St. Louis and Lois Miller of Oregon; a brother, Austin Gil Larson of Washington; and eight grandchildren.
The body will be cremated. Arrangements are by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home.

Paul J. Henson
Paul J. Henson, 81, of Puxico, Mo., father of Pauletta Reese of Conway, died Saturday (May 22, 1999).
Born June 29, 1917, in Bloomfield, Mo., a son of Harvey Jasper and Viola Fulkerson Henson, he was a licensed funeral director and was manager of Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico for more than 30 years. He was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church and a member and Past Master of the Puxico Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the 32nd Degree Scottish Rite.
Other survivors are his wife, Louise Henson; a son, Glenn Henson of Cedar Hill, Mo.; a daughter, Nelda Burge of Puxico; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico with Elders Ernie Cate, Don Adams, Jerry Park and the Rev. Paul Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Puxico Cemetery.

Fred B. Kennedy
Fred B. Kennedy, 88, of Quitman died Monday (May 24, 1999) at Central Arkansas Hospital in Searcy.
Born Sept. 5, 1910, in Pearson (Cleburne County), a son of the late Charlie and Ella Baldridge Kennedy, he was an electrician and a retired foreman for First Electric Cooperative Corp. He was a former member of the Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce and was a lifetime resident of Cleburne County. He was a member of Palestine Baptist Church at Pearson, where he served as a deacon for 40 years.
Survivors are his wife, Lesbia Jackson Kennedy; two sons, Charles P. "Pinkie" Kennedy of Heber Springs and Frederick M. Kennedy of Des Arc (Prairie County); a sister, Jessie Todd of Quitman; two brothers, C. J. Kennedy and Ben Kennedy, both of California; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Palestine Baptist Church in Pearson with the Rev. Duaine Blackmore officiating. Burial will be in Pearson Cemetery by Olmstead Funeral Home of Heber Springs.

Mrs. Mary N. Glaze
Mrs. Mary N. Glaze, 84, of North Little Rock, a native of Enola, died Monday (May 24, 1999).
Born April 12, 1915, a daughter of the late John Edward and Nancy Louiza Thompson Wilmoth, she was a retired cashier for Baptist Memorial Medical Center and a member of First Assembly of God in North Little Rock.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jerelean David, a brother and a sister.
Survivors are a daughter, Sharon Wiggs of Little Rock; a son, Burl Davis of Conway; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock. Burial will be in Ivy Chapel Cemetery in Little Rock by Roller-Owens Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
