Stanley Addis
Stanley G. Addis, a longtime resident of Lookout Mountain, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at his home. He was 72.
The Chattanooga native was a graduate of the Marion Military Institute and a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Episcopal.
Survivors include an aunt, Marguerite Denis McCormack; and four cousins.
A memorial service will be Friday at 3 p.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd.

The Rev. Willie Bonds Jr. died Sunday, April 30, 2000, in a local health care facility. He was 72.
The funeral will be today at noon at Greater St. Mary Baptist Church with the Rev. Grady Woods officiating.

Lillian Cannon
Lillian Cannon died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 92.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Lloyd Davenport
Lloyd Davenport died Monday, May 1, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 68.
Mr. Davenport was a member of Greater Friendship Primitive Baptist Church and was retired from the Mueller Co. after 25 years and from Memorial Hospital after 19 years.
He was the father of the late Drusilla Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Clara N. Davenport; daughter, Izola D. Porter, Stone Mountain, Ga.; two sons, Mortimer Davenport, Nashville, and Darrow Davenport, Knoxville; sister, Melve Bush, Carlton, Ga.; three brothers, Jessie and Walter Davenport, both of Detroit, and Grady Davenport, Decatur, Ga.; three grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Greater Friendship Primitive Baptist Church with elder James Penny and elder Jimmy Ingram officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

Melba Louise Gentry died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in a local health care facility. She was 88.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Walter Gentry.
Survivors include a daughter, Louise G. Sprayberry; three sons, Bud, Dan and Fred Gentry, all of Chattanooga; two sisters, Freida Duggan and Bonnie Schlinkert, both of Cincinnati; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Jessie B. Jones died Saturday, April 29, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 55.
The Meridian, Miss., native was a member of Tucker Baptist Church and was a nurse at Hutcheson Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and A.D. Butchee; two brothers, Egertis and Calvin Butchee; and a sister, Gracie Johnson.
Survivors include a daughter, Neidre Anderson, Chattanooga; three sisters, Glenda Butchee and Ynetta Campbell, both of Greenbelt, Md., and Ernestine Smith, Chattanooga; two grandchildren.

Randall Jones Jr.
Randall R. "Randy" Jones Jr. of Hixson died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. He was 19.
He was a graduate of Red Bank High School, where he was on the football and wrestling teams and was a member of ROTC and the Drama Club. He attended Chattanooga State.
He was the grandson of the late Albert A. Jones.
Survivors include his parents, Randall R. Jones Sr. and Deborah Hixson-Jones, Hixson; grandparents, Oma and Melvin Parker, Soddy-Daisy, Bill and Alwayna Hixson, Sale Creek, and Johnnie Opal Jones, Rossville, Ga.

William Leslie
William Earl Leslie died Saturday, April 29, 2000. He was 51.
Mr. Leslie was a graduate of Riverside High School and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Carrie Leslie.
Survivors include two daughters, Kimberley Leslie and Joangela Reed; three sisters, the Rev. Ocie Fullilove, Catherine Fox and Ruthie Wright; two brothers, John I. and Nathaniel Leslie; one grandson.

Harold Minderman Jr.
Harold F. Minderman Jr. died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 59.
Mr. Minderman was a retired machine tool salesman and a member of Ooltewah United Methodist Church and the Highland Sportsman Club.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Minderman; two sons, Harold M. Minderman, Jackson, Tenn., and Wesley Minderman, Chattanooga; two brothers, Thomas and Donald Minderman; and a sister, Mary Ware.
A memorial service will be Friday at 7 p.m. at Ooltewah United Methodist Church, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
A graveside service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in Ararat Baptist Church Cemetery in Jackson. The family will receive friends after that service in the fellowship hall of the church.

Billy Joe Mysinger of Soddy-Daisy died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at his home. He was 55.
Mr. Mysinger was a former employee of Hiwassee Gas Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Leila Mysinger; two sisters, Mary Arwin Varner and Adeana Lee Mysinger; and two brothers, Jerry and George Mysinger.
Survivors include his wife, Sharyn Mysinger; son, Jerry Mysinger, West Virginia; two stepsons, Stanton and Andrew Pitts, both of Chattanooga; four sisters, Linda Bilbrey, Carolyn Varner and Wanda Mysinger, all of Soddy-Daisy, and Thelma Minnis, Decatur, Tenn.

Geraldine N. Pugh died Thursday, April 27, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 32.
She was a corrections officer at Silverdale Correctional Facility, a member of St. John Unified Freewill Baptist Church in Newark, N.J., and a U.S. Army veteran.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William E. Newton Jr., and grandparents, Lorraine and Alexander Reaves.
Survivors include a son, Jonathan E. Pugh Jr.; two daughters, Diamond and Emerald Walker, Newark; mother and stepfather, Carolyn and David Wood, Newark; father, William Newton Sr., Elizabeth, N.J.; brother, Denzel Wood; and a sister, Ursula Newton, Newark.

She was a native of Nashville and a member of Falling Water Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brady Thomas; and three children, B.W. and James Thomas and Betty Rawlston.
Survivors include two daughters, Alberta Daughtery and Frances Woy, both of Soddy-Daisy; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Glenda M. Tucker died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 57.
Mrs. Tucker was a graduate of Kirkman High School, a member of Joy Baptist Church and was retired from McKee Bakery after 17 years.
She was past matron of Evangeline 48 and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a volunteer for the Salvation Army and the American Red Cross and was a former gray lady at Parkridge Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Arles Alvin and Pauline O. Burkhart.
Survivors include her husband, Hugh Tucker; son, Jeffrey A. Tucker, Japan; two daughters, Angela D. Tucker and Tracy E. Sweatt, both of Chattanooga; four brothers, Dewayne, Charles H. and James E. Burkhart, all of Chattanooga, and Jack Brannon, San Antonio; and a sister, Patricia F. Land, Lakesite.
