Cora Lee Dunn Durham died Saturday, May 6, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 72.
She was a member of Ridge Crest Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Carl "Cooter-Bull" Durham, and a brother, Jack Waldrop.
Survivors include four daughters, Dorothy Smalley, Carolyn Bowman, Robbie Moore and Marie Stout, all of Chattanooga; two sons, Raymond Moore, Michigan, and Richard Durham, Chattanooga; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Chattanooga Memorial Park with the Rev. John Livingston officiating.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.
Juanita Goins
Juanita Goins, a local businesswoman, died Thursday, May 4, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 78.
The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Fine and the Rev. Gary Harris officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
Bobby Hood
Bobby Leon Hood died Saturday, May 6, 2000, of injuries from an automobile accident. He was 34.
He was an employee of Pro-Coat Painting and attended the Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Hood, and his mother, Shirley Morgan.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Bales Hood; daughter, Brittany Hood; son, Bobby Hood Jr.; stepfather, Wayne S. Morgan, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Kathy Westmoreland and Sheila Sisk, Harrison; and two brothers, Sam Hood, Pikeville, Tenn., and Leslie Hood, Ringgold, Ga.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Bradford officiating.
Burial will be in Levi Cemetery.
Visitation will be today after 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Wilma Crawley Lee of Sale Creek died Thursday, May 4, 2000, in South Hill, Va. She was 92.

Gladys Lewis
Gladys Lewis died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in a local life care facility. She was 83.
She was born and educated in Hooker, Ga. She retired from Wedgewood Cleaners and was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church where she served on the Mothers Board, as an usher and in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Allen Lewis Sr.
Survivors include three nephews, Walter Paris, Chattanooga, Leonard Martin, Jasper, Tenn., Clifford Paris, Wildwood, Ga.; and two nieces, Peggy Martin, Jasper, Tenn., and Bobbie Paris, Wildwood, Ga.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Hooker, Ga., with the Rev. Jessie Broadnax officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Visitation will be today at the Central Avenue Chapel of Franklin-Strickland and one hour before the service at the church.
Mirma McCarley
Mirma Burleson McCarley died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at her home. She was 87.
Mrs. McCarley was a teacher and coach at schools in Marion County, Ala., for more than 15 years and worked for Munsingwear Apparel for 23 years. She was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and was involved in Bethlehem Methodist and Pleasant Grove Baptist Churches in Hamilton, Ala., for more than 75 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clovie McCarley.
Survivors include a son, Mack B. McCarley, Chattanooga; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home in Hamilton, Ala.
Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home and Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home.

Linda Cox Meeks died Sunday, May 7, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 56.
She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, a graduate of Red Bank High School and a member of White Oak Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rance and Jerrie Cox; a sister, Corky Smith; and a brother, Bill Cox.
Survivors include a son, Bryan K. Meeks, Chattanooga; two brothers, Wendell Cox, Chickamauga, Ga., and James "Tater" Smith, Chattanooga; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Arnold Parker
Arnold W. Parker of East Ridge and formerly of the Subligna community of Summerville, Ga., died Saturday, May 6, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 89.
He was a member of North Terrace Church of Christ and a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers veteran of World War II. He was a retired farmer and was preceded in death by his wife, Maude Margenia Phillips Parker.
Survivors include two sons, James and Arnold Parker, Atlanta, and Harold P. Parker, East Ridge; sisters, Kathryn Groover, Nashville, Hazel Haygood, Huntsville, Ala., Mildred Taylor, Opelika, Ala., Virginia Bruce, Columbus, Ga., and Elsie Abernathy, Cedartown, Ga.; brother, the Rev. Cecil Parker, Trion, Ga.; and three grandchildren.
