Mildred Gravett
Mildred Stone Gravett died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at a local health care facility. She was 78.
She was a member of the Daisy Church of God since 1964 and a member of the Naomi Class there. She was a cake decorator in Soddy-Daisy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Burton Gravett.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home in Soddy Daisy with the Rev. Warren Beavers officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Jason Ty Israel died Friday, June 16, 2000 at his residence. He was 25.
Mr. Israel graduated in 1994 from Central High School where he was active in ROTC. He was a member of Bayside Baptist Church and employed as a lab tech at Memorial Hospital. He was also active in karate, having earned his red belt.
Survivors include his mother, Joy Annette Israel, Harrison; father, James Monroe Israel, Chickamauga, Ga.; a brother, Alex Stock, Harrison; two sisters, Jamie Annette Chafi and Jennifer Nicole Reynolds, Chattanooga; and grandparents Elbery D. Rider Sr. and Nina Marie Rider.
A graveside service will be today at 10 a.m.in Chattanooga Memorial Park with the Rev. Bob Stitts officiating. There will be no visitation.

He was a former employee of the city of Chattanooga.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Bell Martin; one brother, Jesse Ragland; and one sister, Queen E. Kiser.
Survivors include one son Robert L. Wilson, Oceanside, Calif.; and two sisters Katie Hicks, Tucson, Ariz., and Louise Butts, Detroit.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William McBee.

Thelma Rachel Langford Owens died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at her home. She was 79.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph E. Owens; two sons, Carl E. Raglin, Chicago, and Ramon T. Pulliam, Chattanooga; three daughters, Carole McClure and Patricia Owens Neve, Chattanooga, and Judith Diane Owens Klunk, Hixson; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Born in Hanover, Germany, he was a U.S. Army veteran. He was also retired from self-employment as a mechanic for German Import Service.
Survivors include his wife, Eveleen Rethwilm; two sons, Craig Rethwilm, Kennesaw, Ga., and Michael Rethwilm, Cleveland, Tenn.; one daughter, Peggy Rethwilm Settlemyer, Chattanooga; one sister, Anneli Rethwilm Meyer, Hanover, Germany; and one grandchild.
A graveside service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Father P.J. McGinnity officiating.
Visitation will be today and Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.
