John Allison
John Calvin Allison died Friday, May 19, 2000, at his home. He was 57.
Mr. Allison was a member of Alhouse Church of Christ and a former employee of Rose Gate Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his son, Randall Chapman; and parents, John and Lillie Anderson.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Allison; three sons, Jeffrey Bernard, Kenneth Lamar and Delwin Dewayne Allison; daughter, Vanessa Elaine Bishop, all of Chattanooga; five brothers, Roy Lee and Johnny Allison, both of Bridgeport, Ala., Howard J., James Earl and Walter H. Allison, all of Columbus, Ohio; six sisters, Margie A. Redd and Donna E. Clayton, both of Bridgeport, Ala., Glenda Johnson, Mary E. Cunningham, Jean I. Patrick, all of Columbus, and Particia Earls, South Pittsburg, Tenn.; and 11 grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. CDT at Alhouse Church of Christ in Bridgeport with Nathanial Garner officiating. Burial will be in Lloyds Cemetery in Bridgeport.
Visitation will be today after 1 p.m. EDT at Taylor Funeral Home and one hour before the service Tuesday at the church.

Margaret McClure Pearce died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at her home. She was 84.
Mrs. Pearce was a native of Chattanooga and a graduate of Central High School. She was retired from American Lava/3M Corp. with more than 30 years of service. Mrs. Pearce was a member, former Sunday school teacher and choir member of Ridgedale Baptist Church. She was the widow of Joe Pearce.
Survivors include her son, Jerry Pearce, New Johnsonville, Tenn.; daughter, Peggy Pearce Powell, Atlanta; brother, Kenneth McClure; two sisters, Katherine Burgess and Eleanor Draper, all of Chattanooga; two grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
