Mrs. Mary Batiste, age 64, of Cairo, Ill. passed away on Sept. 20, 2001 at her home.

Mr. Castor Z. Williams, age 95, of Detroit, Mich., formerly of Cairo, Ill. passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001 at the Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit, Mich.

James A. "Jimmy" Klein, age 39, of Olive Branch, Ill., formerly of Cairo, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Norse "Dutch" Brown, age 74, of Ullin, Ill., died at 11:55 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2001 at the Scripps Memorial Hospital in Chula Vista, Calif.

Joan G. "Mildred" Ramage, age 63, of Olmsted, Ill. died at 1:59 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Geraldine Laverne Lilly, age 65, of Carbondale, Ill. departed this life on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001 at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

Jack Edward Erwin, age 76, of Carbondale, formerly of Bell Flower, Calif., died at 8:55 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001 at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Lovie Mae Schoffner, age 62, of Pulaski, Ill., passed away Friday morning, Sept. 14, 2001 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

Lewis M. Williams, age 81, of Streator, Ill., formerly of Metropolis died at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001 at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Streator.

Eunice Jenkins Ward, age 94, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., formerly of Carbondale, Ill. died at 12:40 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2001 at the Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Doris M. Moyer Knight, age 79, of Fort Smith, Ark. died Sept. 19, 2001 in Fort Smith.

Dale Walden, age 67, of Thebes, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001 at Meridian Manor Nursing Home in Mounds.

Mary Katherine Dewey, age 87, of Downer's Grove, Ill., formerly of Cairo, died Sunday afternoon, Sept. 2, 2001 at Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Ill.

Mrs. Mattie Lee Welch Kelley was born March 31, 1908 in Bemis, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late Chime and Emma Hankins. She departed this life on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001.

Mary M. "Granny" Stevens, age 75, of Cairo died at 9:32 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001 at her home.

Norse Brown, age 74, of Ullin, died at 11:55 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2001 at the Scripps Memorial Hospital in Chula Vista, Calif.

Lucille Hudson, age 99, of Mound City, Ill., died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

James M. Baxter, age 86, of Ullin, Ill. died at 11:09 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001 at the Union County Hospital in Anna.

Mildred Dean Abercrombie, age 78, of Tamms, Ill., died at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2001 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Hazel McIntire, age 94, of Owensboro, Ky., formerly of Anna, originally of Dongola and Vienna, died at 10:22 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001 at the Carmel Home in Owensboro, Ky.

Betty Barkett Chivalie, 68, of Key Largo, Florida, formerly of Cairo, died Monday morning, September 3, 2001, at Mariner's Hospital in Tavernier, Florida.

Kenneth L. Martin, 79 , formerly of Olive Branch, passed away Sept. 2, 2001, in Idaho Falls from a lingering illness.

Verda Bowlin Ivey, 96, of Paducah died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001 at the Calvert City Convalescent Center.

Mrs. Josie L. Posey Davis of Los Angeles, Calif., formerly of Cairo passed away Monday evening, August 20, 2001 at the Bell Garden Convalescent Center, L. L. Garden, California, after an extended illness.

Roy L. Walls, age 83, of Urbandale, formerly of Mound City, Ill., died Monday morning, Sept. 3, 2001 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

William Edward Rollins, age 51, of Cairo, Ill. was born on Feb. 24, 1950 to the union of the late Lucille Rollins and Frank Kamis in the city of Chicago, Ill. He departed this life on Sept. 2, 2001 at 7:50 a.m. in his home.

Jean D. Sowers, age 58, of Mounds died at 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2001 at her home.

Perley James Kimmins, age 79, of Perks, Ill., passed away Sept. 2, 2001 at 12:10 p.m. at his home in Perks.

Glorine St. Germain, age 66, of Anna died at 1:24 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, 2001 at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle against ovarian cancer.

Starling Sherman Smith was born Jan. 1, 1941 to the union of Leonard and Juanita Smith of Pulaski, Ill. He passed away on August 29, 2001.

Haywood Jones was born Sept. 8, 1954 to Vere Lee Jones Choat and the late Joseph E. Tolbert. On Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, God compassionately called him home.
