A funeral Mass for Anna Pomozy, 83, of Park Ridge, took place Friday, July 1 at St. Stephen King of Hungary Church in Chicago. Born in Hungary, Ms. Pomozy was a resident of Ballard Nursing Home in Park Ridge. Ms. Pomozy died Sunday, June 26 at Lutheran General Hospital. Ms. Pomozy is survived by her children Attila Pomozy and Katalina Filo.

PATRICIA M. SCHILD Age 70
Patricia M. Schild (nee O'Grady) passed away July 10 at her home in Rolling Meadows. She had been a resident for 50 years. Mrs. Schild was born Nov. 17, 1934 in Chicago to the late Vincent and Wilma O'Grady. Surviving are brother Dennis O'Grady and sons W. Timothy and Thomas W. (Kristi) Schild.

ANNELLEN B. SELLERGREN Of Park Ridge
A funeral Mass for Annellen B. Sellergren (nee Corrigan), 70, of Park Ridge, took place Friday, July 8, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Ransom Church. Visitation took place Thursday, July 7, 3 to 9 p.m. at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home. Mrs. Sellergren is survived by her husband Willard A., children Nancy, Ellen, Jeanette, Charles, Lorna (Michael) Rubino, Renee (Don) Holm, Marta (Sam) Cozzo, Robert, James (Amy); 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many dear relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cardinal Bernadine Cancer Center, 2160 S. First Ave., Maywood, IL 60153.

RICHARD M. SHANAHAN Age 80
Park Ridge resident Richard M. Shanahan passed away June 5. He is preceded in death by brothers Robert M. and Rev. Robert J. and grandson Vincent Shanahan. Mr. Shanahan is survived by wife Esther Josephine (nee Kosidowski); children Maureen (Daniel) Crouchley and Dennis, Thomas (Kathleen), Michael (Jenny) and Jack (Cynthia) Shanahan; and grandchildren Dennis, Brian, Hailey, Jack, Charles, Lily, Katherine, Gregory, Matthew Evan, Sean and Brendan Shanahan and Molly and Anne Crouchley. Also surviving are brothers David J., William A., Roger P. and Rev. Thomas J. Visitation took place Friday at St. Paul of the Cross Church in Park Ridge. Interment was private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Misericordia or the St. Paul Endowment Fund. Cooney Funeral Home assisted the family.

GEORGE A. EGGERT, JR. Of Mt. Prospect
A funeral service for George A. Eggert Jr., 61, of Mt. Prospect, will take place on Wednesday, July 13, 12 p.m. at Maryville Academy Chapel in Des Plaines. The funeral will be officiated by Rev. John Smyth. Interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. Visitation took place Tuesday, July 12, 3 to 9 p.m. at Oehler Funeral Home. Born in Chicago on Nov. 7, 1943, Mr. Eggert worked for 18 years as co-owner and operator of Kathryn's Banquets in Mt. Prospect. As a teenager, he worked for his father's restaurant, Heuer in Rosemont. Mr. Eggert died on Sunday, July 10 at his residence. Mr. Eggert is preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon L. Mr. Eggert is survived by his wife, Janet L.; son, Mark J. (Dina); three grandchildren; parents, George Sr. and Juanita; siblings, Dolly (Pat) Readey, Gregory (Shirley), Gennine (Joe) Lynch, Mary (Roman) Korab, Laura (Dave) Schnier; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maryville Academy.

VIRGINIA BAILEY Sears employee
A funeral service for Virginia McFadden Bailey, 82, took place on Monday, Oct. 17 at the First Methodist Church in Park Ridge. Born on Sept. 1, 1923, Mrs. Bailey worked at Sears Golf Mill for over 40 years. Mrs. Bailey died on Thursday, Oct. 13. Mrs. Bailey is preceded in death by her brother Walter (Barbara) McFadden. Mrs. Bailey was survived by her husband James; her sons James (Christine), John (Sharon), and Jeffrey; her daughter Judith (Michael) Lund; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Les Turner ALS Foundation Ltd., 8142 N. Lawndale, Skokie, IL 60076-3322 or the Anti-Cruelty Society, 510 N. LaSalle St., Chicago, IL 60610. Funeral arrangements were made by Cooney Funeral Home of Park Ridge.

MELVIN C. BREITZKE Age 95
Melvin C. Breitzke of Arlington Hts. died Oct. 20 at Northwest Community Hospital. He had worked as a printer for 45 years. Mr. Breitzke was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in Arlington Hts. He was preceded in death by wife Alverna and brother Lorenz, and is survived by son Carl M. (Kathleen) and grandson David. Visitation and services took place Monday at the Lutheran Home, followed by interment at Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lutheran Home. Meadows Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

LORRAINE CAMARATA Age 83
Services took place Monday at Queen of the Rosary Church for Lorraine Camarata (nee Ceglarek). Born in Chicago, Mrs. Camarata had been an Elk Grove Village resident for 48 years. Mrs. Camarata was preceded in death by husband Vincent. She is survived by sons Ronald V. (Jane), Jamie J. (Linda) and Terry J. (Janice), as well as seven grandchildren. Mrs. Camarata passed away Oct. 20 at Alexian Bros. Medical Center. Interment took place at Memory Gardens in Arlington Hts. Visitation was Sunday at Grove Memorial Chapel.

FRANCES L. DETTLOFF of Niles
Frances L. Dettloff of Niles passed away at the age of 86 on Oct. 18 at Resurrection Pavilion Nursing Center. Mrs. Dettloff was born Feb. 15, 1919 in Bono, Ak. Services took place at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home and St. John Brebeuf Church before burial at Jonesboro Memorial Park. Mrs. Dettloff is survived by daughter Phyllis (Michael) Palliser; nephew David Miller; nieces Roberta Cesaretti and Carol (Richard) Rybak; and friends John and Eleonore Palliser. She is preceded in death by husband George, parents A.D. Coleman and Quincy Stephens, grandson Jerome ³J.J.² Palliser and nephew Dale Miller. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Notre Dame High School.

MAE BEA GANAS Age 62
Longtime Des Plaines resident Mae Bea Ganas passed away in Murfreesboro, Tn. Oct. 19. She was born Aug. 4, 1943 in Arno, Va. Mrs. Ganas, a homemaker, was preceded in death by parents Shelby and Ethel Payne and sister Loretta Jorgensen McNair. Surviving are children Demitra (Tony) Hunsinger of Murfreesboro, Marie (Joseph) Harvat of Des Plaines and Patricia (Paul) Rolan of Austin, Tx. Mrs. Ganas is also survived by grandchildren Stephanie, Alexandra, Mathew and Savannah Hunsinger and Anthony and Grace Harvat; step-grandchildren Jesse, Nathan and Hannah Rolan; siblings Howard (Norma), Daniel (Carmen) and Thomas (Sue) Payne, Alice (Andy) Caldwell and Lois (Junior) White; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services took place Monday at Severino's River Woods Funeral Chapels. Interment was at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove.

JOHN PATRICK HARDYMAN Army veteran
John Patrick Hardyman of Niles died Oct. 16 at Lutheran General Hospital. He was 83 years old. A veteran of the Army who made his living as an office manager, Mr. Hardyman was preceded in death by wife Marilyn J., daughter Mary Lou and parents John Patrick and Helen Cecelia. He is survived by daughters Sharon and Geraldine and sons John and Larry. Mr. Hardyman was a resident of Niles, and was born July 12, 1922 in Chicago. Services were held at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home and St. John Brebeuf Church. Burial took place at Maryhill Cemetery.

MICHAEL GREGORY KAZAK Age 58
Michael Gregory Kazak, formerly of Deerfield, Bensenville and Chicago, passed away Oct. 19 at Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital in Hines, Ill. Mr. Kazak was in the Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a member of Toastmasters International, a community theater participant and enjoyed playing guitar and studying ships. He made his living as a self-employed construction consultant, and owned MK Associates in Elgin. During his career, he served as engineering manager with Great Lakes Corp and was a project manager for Fisher Development, Inc., where he was in charge of building retail stores. He also had a part-time deejay business called Somethin's Jumpin.' Mr. Kazak was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert and his sister Gloria. Survivors include wife of 38 years Theresa Ann (nee Natariano); children David R. (Kristin Murphy) and Michelle L. Kazak; sisters Jeannie (Ben) Quintero and Ann (Dennis) Turczak; brother James Kazak; and best friend Robert (Linda) Woyner. Visitation took place at Glueckert Funeral Home in Arlington Hts., with services at St. James Church and committal at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elmwood, Ill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army.

CLARA KOZICKI Des Plainesite
A funeral Mass for Clara Kozicki of Des Plaines, mother of prominent Des Plaines nun Sister Clare Marie, CSFN, was celebrated Oct. 19 in St. Helen Church. Burial was in St. Adalbert Cemetery. Arrangements were by Malec and Sons Funeral Home, Chicago. Clara died at Holy Family Health Center. Surviving, in addition to Sister Clare Marie, are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph. Memorials are requested to the Development Office of Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, 310 N. River Road, Des Plaines, IL 60016.

LILLIAN M. SAEWERT VFW Axiliary Leader
A funeral service for Lillian M. Saewert (nee Curtin), 80, of Park Ridge, was held Oct. 19 in St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Park Ridge, Interment followed in Town of Maine Cemetery. Arrangements were by Cooney Funeral Home, Park Ridge. She died Oct. 15. She was past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Des Plaines Post 2992. Surviving are her husband, George; children Sandra (Jake) Gallagher and Scott (Janet); grandchildren Heidi Marie (Luke) Sparks, and Anna Louise and Paula Elise; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings Mabel (James) Vlastnik and Roy (Isabella) Curtin.

FRANK SQUILLACIOTI Of Park Ridge
A funeral service for Gilbert H. Tansey, 82, of Park Ridge, was held 11 a.m. Saturday at Nelson Funeral Home, 820 Talcott Road (at Cumberland) in Park Ridge. Visitation was Friday, also at Nelson. Interment private. Mr. Tansey passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19. He had served in the Navy during World War II. Mr. Tansey was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores; and his sisters, Jean Stucka and Lorraine Cope. Mr. Tansey is survived by his children, Patrick (Priscilla), Jeffrey (Ursela) and Gayle (Thomas) Soulides; grandchildren, Patrick, April, Ronni, Thomas and Michael Tansey and Nicole and Alexandra Soulides; great-grandchildren of Cameron, Brianna and Lachlan; and his other sister, Winona.

ANGELINE TATERKA Park Ridge Resident
A funeral Mass for Angeline Taterka, 96, of Park Ridge, was celebrated Oct. 20 in St. Tarcissus Church. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery. A native of Poland, she died Oct. 17 in Resurrection Pavilion Nursing Center. She was a homemaker. Arrangements were by Skaja Terrace Funeral Home. Surviving are her son,. Robert (Harriet); a step-daughter, Audrey (Edward) Matrejek; and siblings Adam Milas, Marion (Otto) Roessler, and Joan (Ray) Weiss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, and her parents, Jasiu and Magalena.

VIVIAN ZAMIAR of Morton Grove
Born Aug. 21, 1919 in Chicago, Vivian Zamiar of Morton Grove passed away Oct. 12 at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. A member of the 55 Pius Club and a homemaker, Mrs. Zamiar was preceded in death by husband Joseph, parents Carmine and Rose Cesario, and sisters Carolyn (late Carmen) and RoseAnn Cesario. Mrs. Zamiar is survived by brother James (Frances) Cesario and sisters Joanne (George) Cesario and Sister Mary Carmen. Services were held at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home and St. Isaac Jogues Church.

DOLORES SCHNUR Of Glenview
A funeral service for Dolores Schnur (nee Walaszewski), 79, of Glenview, took place on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 11:30 a.m. at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home in Niles. Born in Chicago on Oct. 2, 1926, Mrs. Schnur died on Monday, Oct. 3 at Lutheran General in Park Ridge. Mrs. Schnur is survived by her husband, Edward; son Gary (Debbie); one grandchild; and four nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements were made by Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home in Niles.

ANNE E. BOTH Of Northbrook
A funeral service for Anne E. Both (nee Kampe), 72, longtime resident of Northbrook, took place on Thursday, Oct. 13 at the Village Presbyterian Church in Northbrook. Interment took place at St. John Cemetery in Glenview. Born in Germany on Sept. 14, Mrs. Both died Saturday, Oct. 8 at Midwest Palliative & Hospice Care Center in Glenview. Mrs. Both was preceded in death by her husband Wilhelm Both and her sister Irmgard (Paul) Thiemicke. Mrs. Both is survived by her son Martin (Carrie) Both; her daughter Christine (Erik) Hultman; her sisters Inge (Walter) Trumpp, Traute (Harry) Norton, Brigitte Kampe; and her brother Bernd (Christine) Kampe; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association, 4709 Golf Road, Skokie, IL 60076. RUTH ANDERSON Of Northbrook
A memorial service for Ruth Anderson (nee Hjelkrem), 72, of Northbrook, took place on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Hanekamp Funeral Home in Northbrook. Born on Feb. 15, Mrs. Anderson died on Thursday, Sept. 29 in North Ft. Myers, Fla. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, John; her sons William (Kimberly) and Paul (Christine); brother-in-law Ken Hustel; and three grandchildren. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Helen Hjelkrem; and her sister Barbara Hustel. RICHARD J. BUDMATS Of Park Ridge
A funeral service for Richard J. Budmats, 63, of Park Ridge, took place Saturday, Nov. 26, 10 a.m. at Cooney Funeral Home in Park Ridge. Interment took place at Town of Maine Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday, Nov. 25, 3 to 9 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home. A longtime resident of Park Ridge, Mr. Budmats was a retired 40-year member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local #2. He was a sincere friend to many. Mr. Budmats died on Sunday, Nov. 20. Mr. Budmats was preceded in death by his grandson Eric; and loyal companion Suki. Mr. Budmats is survived by his wife Karen; children Nickey (Theresa), Natalie Rosenburg; five grandchildren; and loyal companion Winky. In lieu of flowers, contributions made to Shriners' Hospital for Children are appreciated.

WILLIAM G. BUENDGEN Electromotive Packer
A funeral service for William G. Buendgen, 86, of Arlington Hts., was held Nov. 25 at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Hts. Arrangements were by Meadows Funeral Home. A veteran of World War II service in the U.S. Army, he died Nov. 21 in the Lutheran Home. He was a native of Chicago and worked as a packer at the Electromotive Division of General Motors for many years. Surviving are children Barry, Kathy Coleman, John J. (Kathy), and Michael (Kathy); eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings Lois Harris and Gloria Weinke. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (nee Kelly), and a sister, June Snell. Memorials are requested to the Lutheran Home, 800 W. Oakton Street, Arlington Hts., IL

FRED LAMARR CHUTE Of Schaumburg
Visitation for Fred LaMarr Chute was held Monday at Meadows Funeral Home. He passed away Nov. 23. Mr. Chute served in the Navy while still in high school, and served on Guam during World War II. A graduate of Buena Vista College in Iowa, he taught high school there and moved to the area in 1955 to teach eighth grade social studies at Lincoln Jr. High in Skokie. He remained there until his retirement in 1987. Mr. Chute and his wife, Doris (nee Sandeno) lived in Arlington Heights for most of their time in the area before moving to Schaumburg in 1991. Mr. Chute leaves behind his wife; children Sandra (Mike) and Fred (Cindi); grandchildren Samantha, Tyler, Nicholas, Kayla, Jennifer and Nadine; and great-granddaughter Aerial. He is preceded in death by sister Byrldeen Burton. Interment took place at Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to Southminster Presbyterian Church at 915 E. Central Rd. in Arlington Hts., the American Cancer Society or VITAS Hospice in Lombard.

ANNA E. DIERKS 35 yrs. Littelfuse Buyer
A funeral service for Anna E. Dierks (nee Langusch), 85, of Des Plaines took place on Monday, Nov. 28, 11 a.m. at Oehler Funeral Home in Des Plaines. Born in Chicago on May 16, 1925, Mrs. Dierks was a buyer for Littelfuse for 35 years and a clerk for Target in Rosemont for three years. Mrs. Dierks died on Thursday, Nov. 24 at Ballard Nursing Home in Des Plaines. Mrs. Dierks was preceded in death by her husband Robert O. Dierks. Mrs. Dierks is survived by her son Robert (Alison); her daughter Patricia (Ronald) Bach-Dauz; and five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 1177 Howard St., Des Plaines, IL 60016. Funeral arrangements were made by Oehler Funeral Home in Des Plaines.
