He was employed as a sheet metal journeyman and owned Black Acre farm and roadside stand for 47 years. He was also on the board of directors of the Cook County Farm Bureau. He died at his home on Jan. 27. He was preceded in death by his brother Harvey (Barbara) and a sister Esther. Miriam Webb Jung of Palatine passed away Mar. 8 at Alexian Brother Medical Center, where she'd served many years as a volunteer. She had been a resident of the northwest suburbs for 77 years. Mrs. Jung had also volunteered as a Girl Scout and 4-H leader and with different school systems. She was a manager in a printing firm. She was preceded in death by husband Erich H. Jung and siblings Maurice Webb and Margaret Webb Hardy. Mrs. Webb was born Oct. 24, 1906.
