Ernest Franklin Dotson Jr. died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 57.
Mr. Dotson was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was employed by Southern Filter Media. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Ernest F. Dotson Sr., and two sisters, Vivian and Mary Dotson.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Dotson; son, Matt Dotson; daughter, Sarah Dotson; brother, Charles Dotson, all of Chattanooga; and a sister, Dorothy Craig, Walker County, Ga.
A graveside service will be today at noon in Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Bailey officiating.

Mary Hurst
Mary Ruth Runion Hurst died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000. She was 89.
Mrs. Hurst worked as a medical assistant until her retirement in 1972. She was a member of Frawley Road Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class and was the widow of Arthur S. Hurst.
Survivors include a daughter, Bettye Chastain, Chickamauga, Ga.; son, Robert E. LeCroy, Ooltewah; sister, Vera Beck, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
The funeral will be today at 7 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Dean officiating.
Burial will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Chattanooga Memorial Park.

Rick Lee, Billings, Mont.; brother, Kenneth Carroll, Cleveland, Tenn.; three sisters, Virgie Ledford, Chattanooga, May Hensley and Vera Jo Carroll, both of Florida; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Hickory Valley Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Duke Stone officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home and Friday from noon until the service at the church.

Wendell E. Mann, who retired after 41 years with Central Soya, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at his Chattanooga home.

Anna A. Perdue died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 75.
Mrs. Perdue was a native of Tuscarawas County, Ohio, and had lived in Dundee, Ohio, before moving to Chattanooga in 1990. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Perdue.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy L. Fish, Chattanooga; sister, Sarah Sawler, Ada, Okla.; and a brother, James P. Beckley, Lakeland, Fla.
Services will be in Dundee, Ohio, at a later date.

Mrs. Rogers was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a retired airbrush artist. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Rogers, and a son, John Rogers.
Survivors include three sons, Andrew "Bill" Rogers, Phoenix, George and Kenneth Rogers, both of East Ridge; two brothers, E.W. "Speedy" Burton, Red Bank, and Hal Burton, Texas; two sisters, Edna McCurry, Hixson, and Joy Jackson, Maryville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Loyd Trimm
Loyd Leroy Trimm of Harrison died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 83.
Mr. Trimm was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a retiree from TVA and a member of East Chattanooga Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Jean Trimm; three children, Loyd L. Trimm Jr., Savannah, Ga., Gloria Wilson, Ooltewah, and Marvin W. Trimm, Clarks Hill, S.C.; sister, Virginia Woodward, Soddy-Daisy; brother, Arthur Trimm, Pontiac, Mich.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Glenn officiating.
Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
