Kenneth Brooks
Kenneth M. Brooks died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at his home. He was 37.
He attended the Church of God.
Survivors include his father and mother, Loyd A. and Robbie Dean Brooks; sisters, Rhonda Davis and Terrie Walker, Soddy-Daisy, Robbie Brooks, Red Bank, and Lisa Pardue, Rising Fawn, Ga.; brother, Christopher Brooks, Soddy-Daisy; nieces; and nephews.
The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Hunsucker officiating.
Burial will be in Garrison Cemetery in Dayton, Tenn.
Visitation will be today after 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Willie Collins
Willie Collins died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at his home.
Arrangements will be announced by Taylor Funeral Home.

Martha Cork
Martha C. Estes Cork died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at the home of her sister. She was 78.
A native of Tuscaloosa, Ala., she was a member of Unity Baptist Church, a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School where she was a member of the honor society, and was retired with 39 years of service from B.F. Goodrich Co.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Estes.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen A. Estes, Birmingham, Ala., and David Mark Estes, Kenosha, Wis.; sister, Margaret M. Pruitt, Chattanooga; brother, Grover "Bubber" Mills, Northport, Ala.; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two nieces.
Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. CST at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Lamar Green officiating.
There will be no visitation at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 165 Hamm Road, Chattanooga, TN 37405, or to the American Cancer Society.

George Harden
George C. Harden, formerly of Flat Rock, Ala., died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, in a Chattanooga hospital. He was 89.
Survivors include three sons, Arnold Harden, Scottsboro, Ala., Edward Harden, Guild, Tenn., and Fred Harden, Section, Ala.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. CST at Kerby Funeral Home with the Rev. R.B. Bethune officiating.
Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Bryant, Ala.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. CST at the funeral home.

Eltha Holmes
Eltha Nadean Holmes died Monday, May 29, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 57.
She was a member of Phillippi Primitive Baptist Church in Rockwood, Tenn., and had retired from Hamilton County Nursing Home as a nurse's assistant after 15 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Lawrence Larry Holmes Sr., and a brother, Clarence Richard Eskridge.
Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie Ann Cooley, Columbus, Ga., and Monica Sharell Holmes, Chattanooga; son, Lebron Holmes, Chattanooga; mother and stepfather, Kathryn and elder Rue Eskridge, Rockwood; father and stepmother, the Rev. Elbert Nathaniel Collier and Virginia Collier, Athens, Tenn.; sisters, Mary Kilgo, Rockwood, and Mae Hanks, Maryland; brothers, Eugene Collier, Midtown, Tenn., Rue Eskridge Jr., Maryville, Tenn., Calvin Eskridge, Anniston, Ala., and Roy Eskridge, Rockwood; and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Phillippi Primitive Baptist Church with elder Rue Eskridge officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home and Saturday one hour before the service at the church.

Obbie Hopkins Jr.
Obbie "June Bug" Hopkins Jr. died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at his home. He was 67.
The funeral will be today at noon at Taylor Funeral Home with pastor Nathaniel Carter officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Emma Jones
Emma Jones died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, in an area health care facility. She was 89.
Arrangements will be announced by Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home.

Hazel Linkous
Hazel Schaich Linkous died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at her home in East Lake. She was 94.
The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway, with the Rev. Charles Cornwell officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
Visitation will be all day today at the funeral home.

Clara Mays
Clara Mae Mays died Sunday, May 28, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 51.
A graveside service will be today at 1 p.m. in Highland Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home.

Ronald McDaniel
Ronald McDaniel died Sunday, May 28, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 44.
A graduate of Howard High School, he worked as a laborer and was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tonya Barlow McDaniel, his father, Floyd Lovelace; and a brother, Anthony Lovelace.
Survivors include his stepchildren, Jessica, Chynia, and Moriah Barlow; mother, Bessie Lovelace; four brothers, Derrick, Larry, and Floyd Lovelace, and Frank Williams, Georgia; sister, Cheryl Manson; aunts; uncles; nieces; and nephews.
The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Avondale Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home with pastor Jimmie Ingram officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Hoyle McKenzie
Hoyle W. McKenzie, owner and operator of McKenzie Food Market on Lee Highway for many years, died Monday, May 29, 2000, in a local nursing home. He was 92.
The funeral will be today at 11:30 a.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Barton Thigpen officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

Barbara Morris
Barbara White Morris of Signal Mountain died Monday, May 29, 2000, in a local health care facility. She was 78.
Mrs. Morris moved to the Chattanooga area three years ago from Brockton, Mass.
She was a graduate of Bates College and received a master's degree and C.A.G.S. from Boston University and a master's degree from the University of Southern Maine.
She was a veteran of World War II, having served as first lieutenant and battalion commander of the U.S. Marine Corp Women's Reserve.
She was retired from the State of Maine Department of Education, having taught primary, secondary and graduate schools. She was a member of St. Bart's Catholic Church, the New England Reading Association, the Mayflower Society and the National Education Association.
Survivors include her husband, Howe Morris; son, Alan Morris, Thomasville, Ga.; daughter, Jennifer Morris, Denver; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be today at 9 a.m. at Alexian Village Chapel.
Burial will be in Maine at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 850 Fort Wood Place, Chattanooga, TN 37403.

Pamela Peek
Pamela K. McBryar Peek, missing since March 22, 1999, was found dead in October 1999. She was 27.
The funeral will be today at 6 p.m. CDT at Hooper Funeral Home in Whitwell, Tenn.
Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery in Whitwell.

Patricia Penney
Patricia Faye Penney of Birchwood died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at her home. She was 54.
The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, Cleveland, Tenn., with the Rev. Gurney Beard officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Herbert Price
Herbert M. Price of Ooltewah died Friday, May 26, 2000, at his home. He was 65.
The funeral will be today at 11:30 a.m. at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mothers Against Drunk Driving of Hamilton County, P.O. Box 600, Ooltewah, TN 37363.

Adelaide Robinson
Adelaide Robinson died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at Life Care of East Ridge. She was 84.
Mrs. Robinson was a graduate of Chattanooga High School and the University of Chattanooga, where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Mitchell Gholston, and was widowed by both Edward L. Mitchell and Herbert Robinson.
Survivors include two sons, Edward L. Mitchell Jr. and Stephen L. Mitchell; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at Forest Hills Cemetery.

Michael Sandidge
Michael S. "Mike" Sandidge of East Brainerd died Sunday, May 28, 2000, while on vacation. He was 44.
The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road, with the Rev. Royce Powell officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cliffie Smith
Cliffie L. Smith died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, in a local nursing home. She was 78.
The funeral will be today at 2:30 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.

George Tucker
George F. Tucker, senior vice president of Chattanooga Funeral Home, died Monday, May 29, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 69.
The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at East Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell, Dr. Wallace McGill and the Rev. C. Henry Preston officiating.
Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
