Clarence Rupright Jr.
Clarence Rupright, Jr., of Marion, died Sunday at Marion General Hospital after a three month illness. He was 51.
He was bom Sept. 27,1932, in Mt. Quarry, Ohio. On Sept. 14, 1974 he married Mary Mullins of Marion.
Rupright was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and served in the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife; sons Mark G. of Findlay, Scott R. of Prospect, and Matthew C. of Marion; stepsons Marvin G. Sprinkle of Findlay, William L. Sprinkle of Columbus, Dewey W. Sprinkle of Marysville, Edward J. Sprinkle of Marion, and Matthew D. Sprinkle of Marion; daughters (all of Marysville) Shelia J. Moore, Shelley J. Kemp, Susan J. Sprinkle, Shawn J. Lawson, and Sonya J. Rupright.
Also surviving are sisters Barbara Peterson of Bolivar, Ohio, and Ruth Frost of Oregon.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 10:30 a.m. at the Boyd Funeral Home, 122 W. Columbia Ave., Marion. Visitation hours will be at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
Chaplain Luther Bievis will be the attending minister, and interment
will follow the service Wednesday morning at the Marion Cemetery.
The family asks that donations to Rupright's memory be made to the Hospice Quality of Life program at Marion General Hospital.

Jennifer Marie Wood
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Milford Center Cemetery for Jennifer Marie Wood, infant daughter of Steven and Colleen (Pope) Wood of Chillicothe. The child was born at 8:35 p.m. Friday at the Ross County Medical Center Hospital and died at 1:45 a.m. Sunday.
The father is associate pastor of the High St. Church of Christ in Christian Union in Chillicothe.
Other survivors include a sister, Angela Nicole; grandparents, Mrs. Marie Pope, Mechanicsburg; and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Wood of Milford Center; and greatgrandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wood, Milford Center and Frank Boggs, Greenup County, Ky.
Arrangements are in charge of the Ware Funeral Home in Chillicothe where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today. The Rev. James Dorsey will officate at the service.

Howard V. Herd
Howard V. Herd, 75, 18616 Poling Rd., died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday at his home after a short illness.
A retired agent for Atlantic Richfield Co., he was born March 8, 1908 in Union County to Glenn and Ina (Reed) Herd and spent his entire life here.
He was married in 1953 to the former Martha Berry who survives. He was a member of the Allen Center Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, David and Nancy Herd, Raymond and Phillip and Louann Herd, Marysville; four grandchildren; two brothers, Walter of Marysville and the Rev. George Herd, Lancaster.
A daughter, Wanda Randall, and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Kibler, are deceased.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Mannasmith-Hale Funeral Home with burial in Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Oliver A. Ott
Oliver A. Ott, 81 of Gahanna, died today, April 9 [1984] at Mt. Carmel East, Columbus. He was retired from Jaegar Mfg. He was formerly of the Raymond area.
He was born Dec. 15, 1902 in Columbus and was a member of the Raymond United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie, five sons, Charles, Orient, Donald, Ocala, Fla., Harold, Mount Home, Ark., James and Bill, Columbus, six daughters, Charlotte Cooper, Marysville, Marian Foster, Gahanna, Florence of Masters, Ky., Dorothy Nixon, Rose Sebring and Ruth Walter, all of Columbus, 30 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a sister Edith Turner.
Friends may call at the Jerry Spears Funeral Home, 2693 W. Broad St., Columbus on Tuesday from 7 to 9 and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 td 9 p.m.

Hazel M. Alspach
Hazel M. Alspach, 94 of 1325 W. Talisman, Tucson, Ariz, died suddenly Saturday, April 7 [1984] in Tucson General Hospital. She lived most of her lifetime in Marysville and the last 12 years in Arizona. She was a member of the Allen Center Crow's Nest Card Club.
She was born Oct. 14, 1889 in Delaware County to Albert and May (Bonner) Hanson. She was twice married, to Herman Marsh and Walter Alspach, both of whom preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Coleman, Tucson, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Mannasmith-Hale Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Bachman officiating and interment
in Maple Grove Cemetery, North Lewisburg.

D. Jack Barnett
D. Jack Barnett, Lingrill Road,. West Mansfield, died Sunday, April 8 [1984] in Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton, after an illness of two years. He was 59.
He was born March 24,1925 in North Carolina to Chris B. and Hulda L. (Edwards) Barnett, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Monnie (Hughes) Barnett in 1970. He married Rosanna Pyrtle in 1973 and she survives.
He was a trucker and a member of the Teamsters Union Local No. 40.
Also surviving are two sons, Larry D., Columbus; and Jack E. West Mansfield; and one daughter Mrs. Wayne (Wilma) Hadder, Woodbridge, Va.
Two brothers, Richard, Wilmington, Del.; and J.C., Johnson City, Tenn.; one sister Mrs. Flora Griffith, Green mountain, NC; and two grandchildren also survive.

Interment
will be in the Byhalia Cemetery.

James E. Hildreth
James E. Hildreth,63 of 20750 Barker Rd., MarysviUe died Saturday, April 7 [1984] at Memorial Hospital of Union County after a lengthy illness. He was retired after 12 years with Rockwell International, Bellefontaine.
He was born June 11,1920 in Lima to Edward and Ethel (Conrad) Hildreth, He had lived in Marysville since 1975 and prior to that in Bellefontaine.
On Jan. 23, 1944 he married Helen Lucille Amerine in the First United Methodist Church and she survives, He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Liberty Grange and of the First United Methodist Church.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Stan (Pat) iHaas, Amlin, Mrs. John (Marilyn) Shoffner, Marysville, four grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Helen) Lansdown, and Mrs. Frank (Audrey) Howe, both of Kenton, May Alice King, Michigan and a brother Henry Hildreth, Kenton.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m at the Mannasmith-Hale Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Bauserman officiating and interment
in Broadway Cemetery.

Edgar W. Craig
Edgar W. Craig, a retired farmer from North Lewisburg, died Monday, April 9 [1984] at Memorial Hospital of Union County. He was 69.
He had worked for the State of Ohio and was Trustee of Wayne Township for eight years.
He was born June 8, 1914 in Champaign County to Robert and Etha Dell (Walker) Craig.
On April 20, 1935, he married Marie Bolin who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Charles (Evelyn) Sidders, Urbana; Mrs. Meredith (Mary) Russell, Cable; Mrs. Robert (Sharon) Schell, New Carlisle; and Mrs. Richard (Sally) DeLong, North Lewisburg; and one son Roland Eugene Craig of West Liberty.
Three sisters, Mrs. Darious (Evelyn) Mattox and Mrs. Albert (Helen) Cooper, both of Urbana; and Mrs. Frances Leiter, North Lewisburg; 20 grandchildren and 2 greatgrandsons also survive.
Services will be held Wednesday, April 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the Freshwater-McDonald Funeral Home in North Lewisburg with the Rev. Fred Clogg officiating Interment
will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.
Roy Kermit Penhorwond
Roy Kermit Penhorwood, 48, Marysville, died suddenly Tuesday, April 24 [1984]. He has been employed at Eljer's Plumbingware for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Phoebe, a son, John DeGood and a daughter, Mrs. Steve (Myra Jeanne) Dennis, both of Marysville, a granddaughter Jennifer Lynn DeGood, two sisters Mrs. Harry (Hazel) Beaver, Marysville and Mrs. Thurman (Frieda) Coats, Lakeview, a brother Ray Penhorwood, Urbana and stepmother Elsie Penhorwood, Delaware.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Myra (Stevenson) Penhorwood and a brother, Nelson Penhorwood.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Evangelical Friends Church, of which he was a member. The Rev. Glenn Althouse will officiate with interment
in Oakdale Cemetery.

Lee K. Mullins

He was retired from Ejer's Plumbingware.
Robert W. Peoples
Robert W. Peoples, 68, of 23917 Sandusky Rd., died at 7:30 a.m. today at Grady Memorial Hospital, Delaware.

Arthur E. Kern
Arthur E. Kern, 78, Walbridge, father of Charles M. Kern, Marysville, died May 14 in St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee.
He retired in 1959 after 27 years with Sun Oil Co.
His wife, Thelma (Maynard) Kern, preceded him in death in 1958, and he is survived by two other sons, John and Dan, nine grandchildren and one greatgranddaughter, two sisters and a brother.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the Witzler-Shank-Heilman Funeral Home with interment
in Ft. Meigs Cemetery. Both are in Perrysburg.

Marvin Lloyd Arnold
Marvin Lloyd Arnold, 59, Lakeview Rt. 2, former Marysville resident, died May 8 at University Hospital.
The chief electrician for Eljer Brass Co. for 17 years, he then was employed by Sidney Electric Co. for 12 years.
He was born Nov. 5, 1919, at Arnold, Ohio, on the family homestead, to Jesse and Bertha (DeWitt) Arnold.
He was a member of the Marysville Congregational Church, a veteran of the Army Air Force in World War II, member of Roundhead VFW Post 8832 of which he was past commander and Local IBEW of Lima.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mildred Cosgray; two sons, Marvin Lloyd Jr., Phoenix, Ariz, and Eddy Lee of Dayton; two daughters, Avis Gloeckner and Hersha Arnold, both of Columbus; a sister, Mrs. Mary Smith of Marysville and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. May 11 at Ingram Funeral Home, VFW service was held the evening of May 10, and burial was in Forest Grove Cemetery, Plain City.
