Callie Battle
Callie Ben "C.B." Battle died Friday, May 12, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 82.
A native of Macon, Ga., Mr. Battle was a U.S. Navy veteran and was retired from the Naval Training Center in Orlando, Fla.
He had been a resident of Chattanooga for six years and attended Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a niece, Wanda Gail Pritchett; other nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.N. Luster officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Avondale Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funereal Home.
Elizabeth Brock
Elizabeth K. "Betty" Brock died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at her home. She was 72.
She was preceded in death by a son, James W. Brock Jr.
Survivors include her husband, James W. Brock Sr.; two daughters, Michelle Brock and Yvonne Brock, Chattanooga; son, Doug Brock, Alabama.
A memorial service will be held Monday, May 22, at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with John P. Lee Jr. officiating.

Louise D. Brock died Sunday, May 14, 2000, in a local health care facility. She was 91.
The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Pine Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church in McDonald, Tenn., with the Rev. Garland Coefield and the Rev. John Lanham officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Paul Higdon
Paul William Higdon of Soddy-Daisy died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 68.
He was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County, a member of Lone Oak Church of God, a coal miner and a self-employed carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Jean Higdon; four children, Bill Higdon, Middle Valley, Betty McCurdy, Hixson, Kathy Lovern, Signal Mountain, and Angela Honaker, Lucasville, Ohio; brothers, Jerry Higdon, Signal Mountain, Frank Higdon, Sale Creek, Johnny Higdon, Red Bank, and Bill, Doyle, Brian and Franklin Higdon, all of Soddy-Daisy; sisters, Louise Yoder, Signal Mountain, and Dottie Petty and Peggy Bowers, Soddy-Daisy.
The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. Harley Morrison officiating.

Bobbie Jean Hyde died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 67.
She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church and was a 1950 graduate of Red Bank High School.
She was retired from Provident Life & Accident Insurance as a supervisor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Hyde.
Survivors include a sister, Virginia Grissom; brother, Ed Grissom, Chattanooga; and a nephew.
Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Ferguson officiating.

Dennis Neal Marshall of Signal Mountain died Monday, May 15, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 47.
He was preceded in death by his father, Granville P. Marshall and his stepfather, Everett Smith.

Viola Mays died Monday, May 15, 2000. She was 86.
She was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

James McBride
James Donald McBride died Monday, May 15, 2000, at his home. He was 61.
He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and a member of Ashland Terrace Christian Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and the Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Otis "Jimmy" McBride and a daughter, Rene McBride.
Survivors include his mother, Edwina McBride, Chattanooga; daughter, Elizabeth Mack, Golden Valley, Ariz.; three grandsons.
Graveside services will be Friday at 11;30 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Dr. Carroll Wallace officiating.
There will be no visitation.

She was a Baptist and was preceded in death by her father, James Mitchell, and a grandmother, Louise Farris.

Frankie Imogene Shrader Mosley died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, in a local nursing home. She was 74.
She was born in Ider, Ala., and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Levi "Ray" Mosley; stepson, Richard Earl Mosley; sister, Edith Steele; and brothers, Edward and Orville Sharader.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Wilburn, Memphis, and Cathy Sargent, Rossville; three sons, Kenneth Teems, Chattanooga, Ronnie Teems, Rossville, and Adam Teems, Indian Shores, Fla.; six stepchildren, Josina Mills, Dalton Mosley, Brenda Suggs, Ronnie "Duke" Mosley, Tony Mosley and Steve White, all of Greenville, N. C.; sister, Viola Crowe, and brother, Bill Shrader, Ider.
The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Odel Ashburn officiating.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

Miles A. Perrin died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, in a local hospital. He was 70.
A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Mr. Perrin was retired from Dupont after 32 years of service. He as a veteran of the Korean War and a member of First Church of Christ Scientist.

She was of the Holiness faith, and was preceded in death by her husband, Coy L. Phillips and a son, James R. "Jimmy" Phillips.
