SLEEPY CREEK, W.Va. - Gilbert Troy Crone, 81, of Sleepy Creek, died Sunday, June 15, 1997, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Born April 17, 1916, in Sleepy Creek, he was the son of the late Charles Wesley and Dora Belle Albright Crone.
He worked as a trapper and as a laborer at orchards in the Sleepy Creek area.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Edith Pearl Spriggs, Mabel Rebecca Stevens and Anna Blanche Tritapoe; three brothers, Samuel Lester "Red" Crone, John Lloyd "Buck" Crone and Harry B. "Chub" Crone; and by his foster parents, Peter and Carrie Warrenfeltz Crone.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Hennis H. Fox will officiate. Burial will be in Spohrs Crosswords Cemetery, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday one hour prior to the service.

Wayde A. Smith
BOONSBORO - Wayde Andrew Smith, 30, of 7827 Sharpsburg Pike, died Monday, June 16, 1997, in Sharpsburg due to injuries received in an auto accident.
Born Dec. 22, 1966, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Wayne Arguel and Nancy Jean Leatherman Smith of Boonsboro.
He was employed by Swope's Masonry, Boonsboro.
He was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Wayde Andrew Smith Jr., Smithsburg; two sisters, Barbara J. Warrenfeltz of Fairplay and Donna M. Huntzberry of Boonsboro; three brothers, Michael Wayne Smith and Allen William Smith, both of Boonsboro, and Randy Lynn Smith of Charles Town, W.Va.; maternal grandmother, Hazel M. Leatherman of Sharpsburg; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of the Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Blaine E. Feightner will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Reba I. Kohler
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Reba I. Kohler, 92, a resident of Menno Haven, died Sunday, June 15, 1997, at Menno Haven.
Born Sept. 17, 1904, in Fayetteville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Nora Stoner West.
Her husband, William A. Kohler, died in 1984.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.
She was a member of Martha Custis Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star No. 342 in Chambersburg.
She is survived by one sister, Frances W. Heindel of Chambersburg; and one brother, Max H. West of Chambersburg.
She was preceded in death by one son, William A. Kohler Jr.; two sisters and four brothers.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Lincoln Cemetery in Chambersburg. The Rev. Richard A. Cartwright will officiate.
There will be no viewing.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 150 Norlo Drive, Fayetteville, Pa. 17222.

Lodis L. Curtis
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Lodis Lorraine Curtis, 77, of Martinsburg, died Monday, June 16, 1997, at her home.
Born Dec. 9, 1919, in Rockingham, Va., she was the daughter of the late Frank James and Rhoda Halterman Fitzwater.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edgar W. Basore, in 1976; and Arthur B. Curtis, in 1994.
She was a member of Beth Haven Baptist Church, Martinsburg. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the church.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty L. Basore Busey of Martinsburg; two sons, Gary W. Basore of Stuart, Fla., and Carroll Bruce Basore of Westminster, Md.; three sisters, Margie Pine and Beatrice Files, both of Martinsburg, and Juanita Huntstetler of Kings Mountain, N.C.; one brother, Berlin Fitzwater of Charles Town, W.Va.; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon L. Ware; two sisters, Lenora Schneck and Alma Myers; and two brothers, Laird Fitzwater and Ocla Fitzwater.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Robert Maraugha will officiate. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery, west of Hedgesville, W.Va.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 p,m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Guy F.E. Chismar
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Guy F.E. Chismar, 52, of 2656 Grand Point Road, died Saturday, June 14, 1997, in the emergency room of Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 23, 1944, in Shelbyville, Ind., he was the son of the late Frank E. and Vivian Fisher Chismar.
He was a 1963 graduate of Carson Long Military Academy in New Bloomfield, Pa.
He was employed as general manager of Family Time Restaurant in Hagerstown. He was the former owner of Cutting Board Eatery in Chambersburg Mall.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served 10 years with the Harrisburg National Guard.
He was a member of Burt J. Asper American Legion Post 46, Chambersburg.
He is survived by his wife, M. Jane Reilly Chismar, whom he married on March 6, 1979; two daughters, Laura Wingert Halter of Shippensburg, Pa., and Cindy Wingert Pilgrim of Chambersburg; and one son, Charles E. Wingert Jr. of California.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.

Paul L. Loudenslager
BOONSBORO - Paul Leroy Loudenslager, 88, of 236 Potomac St., died Monday, June 16, 1997, at the home of his daughter in Boonsboro.
Born Oct. 31, 1908, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Charles and Edna Renner Loudenslager.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bronis Lorraine Loudenslager, in 1989.
He retired after 42 years with Brandt Cabinet Works in Hagerstown.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Boonsboro.
He is survived by one daughter, Lorraine Kretzer of Boonsboro; one son, Larry Loudenslager of Boonsboro; one sister, Ruth Loudenslager of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Muriel Loudenslager.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. Joseph I. Donovan III will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.

David J. Dourakos
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - David J. "Skinney" Dourakos, 35, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, June 15, 1997, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born Feb. 1, 1962, in Martinsburg, he was the son of Harold and Mary Rae Myers Holben of Martinsburg and Demetrois J. Dourakos of Athens, Greece.
He attended Heritage Christian Academy and was a graduate of Hedgesville High School and Shepherd College.
He was employed by Coca-Cola Co. in Hagerstown.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Deino T. Dourakos of Martinsburg; and a grandfather, Raymond F. Myers of Martinsburg.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Catherine Myers.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Earl Ray Hairston III will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

Marion Rosalie Bartlett, 72, of 824 Lanvale St., Hagerstown, died Sunday, June 15, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Sept. 12, 1924, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Jacob and Anna Belle Shrader Bussard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles U. Bartlett.
She retired from Maryland Ribbon Co. after 32 years.
She attended First Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Annabelle Keeney of Mt. Laurel, N.J.; one son, Charles Bartlett of Hagerstown; one brother, Harold R. Bussard of Williamsport; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son, Albert Ronald Bartlett; two sisters, Mildred Houser and Madeline Shoemaker; and four brothers, Ralph Bussard, Albert Bussard, Joseph Bussard and Edward Bussard.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Betty D. Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

Charles E. Staley
WILLIAMSPORT - Charles Edward "Ed" Staley, 57, of 153 N. Conococheague St., died Sunday, June 15, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 28, 1940, in Clear Spring, he was the son of the late Bessie Catherine Staley.
He was employed by Brandt Cabinet Works.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of Hagerstown Lodge 212 Loyal Order of Moose and U.I.N. Local 472.
He is survived by two daughters, Shelby R. Staley of Smithsburg and Kelly M. Hovis of Little Orleans, Md.; one sister, Rosalee Staley Slusher of Hagerstown; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Church Cemetery, National Pike, Clear Spring. The Rev. James E. Swecker will officiate.
Friends may call at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends.

Elizabeth T.W. Reid
ARMONK, N.Y. - Elizabeth "Betty" Tilford Willis Reid, 72, of Armonk, and Delray Beach, Fla., died of lung cancer Monday, April 7, 1997, at her summer home in Armonk.
Born Oct. 22, 1924, in Harrisburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William H. Willis and Elizabeth Tilford Keferstein Willis.
She lived her early life in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., and also lived in Waynesboro, Pa.
She worked in Hagerstown at Fairchild Aircraft during the war. She was active in the American Red Cross in Miami during World War II.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Nash Reid; three daughters, J.J. Romanowicz and Cameron Hatton, both of Armonk, and Augustine De Lago of Menands, N.Y.; two brothers, William H. Willis of Greenwich, Conn., and L. Clayton Willis of Washington, D.C.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, William Hammond Perrault Reid.
Services were held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Armonk.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Whitley U. Mills Jr.
Whitley Uion "Junior" Mills Jr., 50, of 13625 Royal Road, Hagerstown, died Monday, June 16, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Dec. 2, 1946, in Huntington, W.Va., he was the son of Whitley Uion Mills Sr. of Huntington, and Ina Margaret French Sprecher of Hagerstown. He was the stepson of Vivian Mills of Huntington.
He was a 1965 graduate of South Hagerstown High School.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was employed by Bell South Telephone Co. in Atlanta.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of Dixon Troxell Post 211, Funkstown American Legion; and the Last Man's Club Vietnam-Era Veterans of Funkstown American Legion.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Susan V. Mills of Boonsboro; two daughters, Julie O. Mills of Hagerstown and Katie S. Mills of Frederick, Md.; five sisters, Trisha W. Rouse, Margaret A. Bailey and Judy L. Noland, all of Hagerstown, and Sharon K. Mills and Shelia F. Reeves, both of Huntington; seven nieces; two nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 E. Antietam St., Hagerstown. The Rev. C. Donald Hamburg will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Rosie Spessard
WILLIAMSPORT - Rosie Spessard, 77, of 16505 Virginia Ave., Homewood Retirement Center, died Tuesday, June 17, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Nov. 5, 1919, in West Coplay, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Caroline Tcharr Yonger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Spessard, in 1977.
She was employed by Gabriel Industries.
She was a member of Christ's Reformed Church.
She is survived by one son, Emmett Magaha of Hagerstown; one sister, Anna Yonger of Hagerstown; four stepsons, Carl B. Spessard of Hagerstown, Nelson Spessard of Frederick, Md., Ronnie Spessard and Jerry Spessard, both of Fairfax, Va.; and one granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Wexler and Ida Fernandez.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Don R. Stevenson will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.

Richard D. Baker
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Richard Dolen Baker, 92, of Charles Town, died Tuesday, June 17, 1997, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, W.Va.
Born April 14, 1905, in Jefferson, Va., he was a son of the late Richard Jefferson Baker and Martha Bailey Baker.
He retired after many years as an electrical welder at Bethlehem Steel Corp., Baltimore.
He was of the non-denominational faith.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Georgia Anna Covert Baker; one sister, Neba Fulmer of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Bruce Zombro, James Zombro and Debra Hildebrand; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, James Coleman Zombro; and three brothers, Simon Baker, Irvin Baker and James Baker.
Services will be Thursday at 6 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town, W.Va. The Rev. Robert Johnson and the Rev. Steve Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg, W.Va.

Wade C. Wean
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Wade Cecil Wean, 70, of Martinsburg, died Monday, June 16, 1997, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Baltimore.
Born June 8, 1927, in Manassas, Va., he was the son of the late George and Fleta Barb Wean.
He was a graduate of Detective School, Arlington, Va.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of D.A.V., Martinsburg.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Martha Hamman Wean; four daughters, Theresa Ritenour of Winchester, Va., Roxanne Wean of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., and Angel J. Troutner and Martha L. Malone, both of Edge Water, Fla.; three sons, Norman Wade Wean of Lovittsville, Va., Gary F. Wean of Hillsboro, Va., and Rickey E. Wean at home; one sister, Bernadine Wean of Ashburn, Va.; two brothers, Edward Wean of Charles Town, W.Va., and Charles Wean of Berryville, Va.; 14 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Home Chapel, Martinsburg. The Rev. Charles W. Doughty will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Vernon E. Ward Sr.
MOUNT AIRY, Md. - Vernon Eugene Ward Sr., 42, of Jessie Smith Road, died Friday, June 13, 1997, at his home.
Born May 11, 1955, in Germantown, Md., he was the son of George L. Ward Sr. of Manokin, Md., and the late Lyndall Mae Hungerford Ward.
In addition to his father, he is survived by one daughter, Sabrina Ward of Orlando, Fla.; one son, Vernon E. Ward Jr. of Orlando; one stepdaughter, Tina Clem of Orlando; two sisters, Mary E. Bladen of Clarksburg, Md., and Sherry D. Hallett of Warrenton, Va.; five brothers, George L. Ward Jr. of Gaithersburg, Md., Walter W. Ward of Damascus, Md., Jerald N. Ward Sr., Gary L. Ward Sr. and Randy L. Ward Sr., all of Sharpsburg; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael E. Ward.
Services were held Tuesday, June 17, at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville, Md. Burial will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.

Mary F.E. Bassett
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Mary Frances Elkins Bassett, 73, of 13997 Gardner Ave., died Monday, June 16, 1997, at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born Jan. 11, 1924, in Henry, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Rev. O.E. and Ada Barbour Elkins.
Her husband, Russell E. Bassett, died in 1975.
She was a 1940 graduate of Lumberport High School in Lumberport, W.Va. She attended West Virginia Wesleyan College and West Liberty College in West Virginia, where she earned a secretCourier degree.
She served as executive director of Waynesboro Chapter of the American Red Cross, retiring in 1990.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Waynesboro.
She also was a member of Waynesboro Chapter of the American Red Cross.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda P. Bowers of Afton, Va., Frances C. Bassett and Mary Faith Kline, both of Waynesboro; two sons, Russell E. Bassett of Waynesboro and Allen A. Bassett of Gettysburg, Pa.; one sister, Audrey Reynolds of Lumberport; two brothers, Denzil Elkins of Manassas, Va., and Allen Elkins of Woodbridge, Va.; and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Nada Allopenna.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, corner of South Church and West Second streets, Waynesboro. The Rev. Jay Zimmerman will officiate assisted by the Rev. Carl Butterbaugh. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.

Joseph M. Harp Sr.
Joseph M. Harp Sr., 89, formerly of 314 E. Irvin Ave., Hagerstown, died Tuesday, June 17, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.
Born in Smithsburg, he was the son of the late Edward B. and Hadessa L. Stotelmyer Harp.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice S. Himelright Harp, in 1979.
He retired from The Herald-Mail Co. newspapers in 1985 as executive editor.
He was a member of Zion Reformed Church.
He was a member of many civic organizations, including Hagerstown Lions Club and BPO Elks Lodge No. 378.
He is survived by two sons, Joseph M. Harp Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, and David W. Harp of Baltimore; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald Harp and Edward B. Harp Jr.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zion Reformed Church, corner of West Church and North Potomac streets, Hagerstown. The Rev. Jack Dale Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will greet friends prior to the service Saturday.

C. Willard Stanley
BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT, Pa. - C. Willard Stanley, 72, of 14946 Charmian Road, died Tuesday, June 17, 1997, at Homewood Retirement Center in Williamsport.
Born Aug. 29, 1924, in Monterey, Pa., he was the son of the late Dr. Arthur Camp and Alice Willard Boyd Stanley.
He graduated from Choate High School in Connecticut and attended Williams College in Williams, Mass.
He was employed by the Department of the Army at Fort Ritchie for 21 years, retiring in 1974 as fire department crew chief. He then was a fire apparatus dealer for FMC Corp. for 20 years, and sold for three other apparatus manufacturers.
A veteran of World War II, he served as a medical aide man in the infantry division in M.A.S.H. units, station hospitals and as wardmaster in the 227th and 164th general hospitals. He was awarded the Combat Medic Badge.
He was a member of Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Blue Ridge Summit, and held various church offices there and at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Waynesboro, where he was a member for 20 years.
He was a volunteer firefighter with and life member of Blue Ridge Summit Fire Department, and was assistant chief and deputy chief for 14 years. He also was a member of International Association of Fire Chiefs, National Fire Prevention Association, Franklin-Fulton Counties and the Cumberland Valley Volunteer Fire Associations, and a life member of Fountain Dale Volunteer Fire Department.
He was active in the instrumental music program in the Waynesboro Area School system for eight years, and held offices with the band auxiliary.
Since 1991, he was a mentor for a third-grade class at Fairview Avenue Elementary School.
He is survived by one daughter, Sally T. Stanley of Frederick, Md.; one son, William S. "Bill" Stanley of Mount Joy, Pa.; one sister, Katherine W.S. Menz of Blue Ridge Summit; one brother, Arthur C. Stanley of Cavetown; four grandchildren; three nieces; and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by one brother, John Boyd Stanley.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Blue Ridge Summit. The Rev. Janet E. Avcin and the Rev. Eugene M. Cline will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro.

Dorothy S. Wright
CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Dorothy S. Wright, 81, of 2106 Kanawha Blvd. East, died Tuesday, June 17, 1997, at the Ravenwood Lutheran Village, Hagerstown.
Born Nov. 19, 1915, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Hollis E. and Dora Bixler Snapp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randolph Wright.
She was a graduate of Hagerstown High School and a 1937 graduate of Lankenau Hospital Training School of Nursing, Philadelphia.
She was employed by E.I. Dupont Co., Charleston, as a registered nurse for 23 years until her retirement.
She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Charleston; and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown.
She was a member of Republican Women, Charleston.
She is survived by one niece, Elizabeth A. Felix of Chambersburg, Pa.; one nephew, Edwin K. Snapp of Hagerstown; and one cousin.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown. The Rev. Lans E. Alexis will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Nila C. Bohceli
Nila C. Bohceli, 84, of 17002 Burwood Court, Hagerstown, died Monday, June 16, 1997, at Williamsport Nursing Home, Williamsport.
Born Jan. 28, 1913, in Palmer, Kan., she was the daughter of the late Harry P. and Christine Herchenroeder Schroeder.
Her husband, Nubar Bohceli, died in 1976.
She was a retired employee in the trust department at American Security Bank in Washington, D.C.
She was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church, Williamsport.
She is survived by one brother, Allen Schroeder of Las Vegas.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Brian Stevenson will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawn Cemetery in Rockville, Md.
Friends will be received at the funeral home 30 minutes prior to the service.

Clyde G. Sirbaugh Sr.
ORLEANS CROSSROADS, W.Va. - Clyde Gerald "Yock" Sirbaugh Sr., 80, of Orleans Crossroads, died Monday, June 16, 1997, at his daughter's home in Sir Johns Run, W.Va.
Born Oct. 4, 1916, in Orleans Crossroads, he was the son of the late John and Bertha Robey Sirbaugh.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Virginia Twigg Sirbaugh, in 1987.
He attended Orleans Crossroads School.
He worked as a cook and laborer with the Civilian Conservation Corps during the construction of Cacapon State Park. He retired from the B&O Railroad, where he worked in the Cumberland, Md., shops and as a trackman.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Orleans Crossroads.
He was a member of Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post 60, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; and Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way, Cumberland.
He is survived by two daughters, Darlene E. Carpenter of Sir Johns Run and Regina C. Miller of Orleans Crossroads; two sons, Clyde G. Sirbaugh Jr. of Orleans Crossroads and Kenneth R. Sirbaugh of Sharpsburg; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by six sisters, Thelma Moore, Daisy Gaither, Ruth Norris, Ethel Sharon, Violet Horn, Dorothy Sirbaugh; and five brothers, Marvin Sirbaugh, John Sirbaugh, Lindy Sirbaugh, Henry Sirbaugh and Bud Sirbaugh.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St.., Berkeley Springs. Pastor Roger E. Burtner will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Orleans Crossroads, with military graveside honors provided by Tri-State Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral home will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. today for the convenience of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 2015 Boyd Orchard Court, Martinsburg, W.Va. 25401.
