Mrs. Hopkins died Wednesday at a Tyler hospital. She was born Oct. 9, 1922, in Alto.
She had lived in Tyler since 1976, and was formerly of Kilgore.
She was affiliated with First Christian Church in Kilgore, and was a seamstress for Kilgore Manufacturing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Benjamin Hopkins; son, David Hopkins; brother, Rayford Hasty; and sister, Genette Gardiner.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Hopkins of Tyler; daughters, Frances Vickery of Tyler and Faye Booth of Mount Selman; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers include Michael Hopkins, David Hopkins, Gene Hopkins, Joe Hopkins, Timothy Booth, Tommy Alvey, Ed Newburn and Tony Morris.
Honorary pallbearer is Joushua Vickery.

Mrs. Glover died Saturday in Palestine.
She was born Sept. 25, 1918, in Jacksonville, where she lived most of her life. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in College Station.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Harrison Glover, and her son, Ernest Paul Glover.
Survivors include her brother, Curtis Ross of Jacksonville; sisters, Lorene Darden of Troup and Molly Smith of Pasadena; two adopted grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Bickerstaff died Monday at a Jacksonville nursing home. She was born Aug. 30, 1913, in Bullard. She had lived in Bullard all her life and had worked as a nurse at Nan Travis Memorial Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bullard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herod Bickerstaff in 1987; son, David Bickerstaff; and daughter, Shirley Banta. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Ann Bickerstaff of Slocum; daughter, Nona Bickerstaff of Bullard; son-in-law, Byron Banta of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter-in-law, Gloria Bickerstaff of Bullard; sister, Ethelyn Tillery of Tyler; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Mason died Sunday at her home in Rusk.
She was born Sept. 21, 1936, in Rusk, where she was a lifelong resident. She was a member of Rusk Church of Christ and retired from Rusk State Hospital after many years of service as a supervisor over the switchboard operators.
She is survived by her son, Mike Mason of Longview; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Ruth Pierce of Rusk and Bill and Wanda Pierce of Tyler; sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye and Archie Kennard of Tyler and Pat and J.C. Tate of Tyler; grandchildren, Teri Reynolds of Oceanside, Calif., and Brook Mason of Longview; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Mrs. Etheridge died May 22 at Orange Park medical Center in Middleburg, Fla., following a long illness. She was born Nov. 8, 1910, in Pittsburg, Kan., and had lived in California, Florida and Reese at various times. Mrs. Etheridge was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Emmett” Etheridge.

He served in the U.S. Army in World War II in Europe and army of occupation in Japan. He was a banker and a resident of Eagle Lake for the past 10 years. He was a member and current commander of American Legion Post No. 108 of Eagle Lake and a member of the Eagle Lake United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Carl H. Mehner.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn J. Mehner of Eagle Lake; a daughter, Glenda L. Mitchell, Houston; a son, Gary Jackson Campbell, Houston; sister, Kitty Miller, Houston; sister-in-law, Marie Mehner, Rusk; brother, John Mehner, Galveston; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The Rev. William Charles Pruitt Jr., 75, passed away Monday, November 12, 2001 in Humble, Texas. After leaving his beloved hometown of Muleshoe, Texas and serving in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, he settled in Jacksonville, Texas.
A career educator and Baptist minister, he was associated with Jacksonville Baptist College, the BMA Theological Seminary, the BMA Chaplains’ Committee, and the East Texas Adult Education Cooperative. Bro.
Pruitt also served for many years as pastor of several churches throughout East Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Ruth Palmer Pruitt of New Caney,formerly of Jacksonville; one daughter, Suzanne Pruitt Clampitt of New Caney; two sons, Philip Pruitt of Jacksonville and John Pruitt of Houston - Clear Lake area; and five grandchildren, Jonathan, Macy and Madison Pruitt, and Jennifer and William Clampitt. He is also survived by five brothers, James, Jasper, Jarrell, Carroll and Howard Pruitt; and two sisters, Mary Byford and Carolyn Gross.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Charlie” and Helen Pruitt of Muleshoe and two brothers, Garvin and Odis Pruitt.

Mrs. Langham was born July 25, 1904, in Jacksonville, Texas, and had resided in this area all of her life. She had worked in the nursing profession and was a Methodist.
Mrs. Langham was preceded in death by her husband, James Odell Langham; two sons, Horace Fuller Langham and Morris Kenneth Langham; one daughter, Mary Ann Nolley; and a great-great-granddaughter, Tara Allison Bailey.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Martin, in 1996.

Mr. Morris died Friday at the Tyler Hospice. He was born June 13, 1920, in Quanah and was a lifelong resident of Gallatin. He was a member and Deacon of Gallatin Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Morris retired after 40 years with Jacksonville Basket Company. He also served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Survivors include wife of 59 years, Alline Morris of Gallatin, daughters and sons-in-law, Darnell and Curtis Hanson of Gallatin and Betty and Kerry Cruseturner of Gallatin; son and daughter-in-law, James Thomas and Donna Morris of Gallatin; brother, Robert Underwood of Gallatin; sisters, Sadie Lanier of Rusk and Gale Andrue of Rusk; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Daniel Murray Stallings died of an accidental gunshot December 17, 2001.
Murray was the son of Danny (Dan L.) Stallings and Patricia McCann Pace. He was born in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County Texas, December 27, 1971 and was soon to be 30 years old.
Murray is survived by his 5-year-old son Hunter Daniel Stallings; his father and stepmother, Dan and Cindy Stallings; his mother, Patty Pace; and his stepmother, Janice Putnam. He is also survived by his brother, Raymond Wylie Stallings, sisters Stacie Vandergriff and Kelly Byrd; his grandparents, Henry D. and Ella Mae Stallings; his great-grandmother Violet Vansickle Woodall; and a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins whom he loved and who loved him.
Funeral services will be arranged and published. Murray’s family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be sent to the Hunter Daniel Stallings Trust at Texas National Bank, or to Dan Stallings, Rt. 8, Box 311, Jacksonville, TX 75766.
