She was born June 12, 1970, in Jacksonville. She worked at Western Lithotech in Jacksonville in the accounting office.
She was a member of Sunset Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Phillips, of Jacksonville; son, Jacob Phillips of Jacksonville; father and stepmother, Archie and Lola Folmar of Jacksonville; mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Roosevelt Blake of Jacksonville; brothers, Wayne Folmar, Kenny Folmar and Mike Folmar, all of Jacksonville; stepbrother, Marvin Lee Blake of Jacksonville; stepsisters, Virginia Smith and Joyce Lobb, both of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Hazel Tipton Culbertson, 89, of Houston and formerly of Marshall for 21 years and Jacksonville for seven years, were at 1 p.m. today at United Methodist Church in New Summerfield with the Rev. Hank Chandler officiating.
Burial will be held at the McDonald Cemetery in New Summerfield under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Jacksonville.
Mrs. Culbertson died Friday in Houston.
She was born Jan. 15, 1913, in Garland. She was a homemaker and was a Christian Scientist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Culbertson.
She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Culbertson of Houston and Sara Lynne Shirley of Austin; sisters, Julanne Tipton Emerson of Jacksonville and Marilyn Tipton Gill of New Summerfield; grandson, Richard Leonard Shirley and wife, Lanae, of Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Sonny Dale Tipton, Jim Tipton, Charles Emerson, David Emerson, Rick Shirley and Bill Tipton.

Services for Ela Estelle Barnes, 74, of Lake Charles, La., will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. The Rev. Charles McMillin will officiate.
Burial will be at Prien Memorial Park in Lake Charles.
Mrs. Barnes died Saturday at a Lake Charles care center. She was a native of Jacksonville, but had lived in Hugh Hope Care Center in Lake Charles for the last 10 years. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and had worked in data processing for Moss Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Barnes; son, Rhea Barnes; and brother Jimmy Cash.
She is survived by her sons, Danny Barnes of Moore, Okla., Robert Barnes of LeMont, Ill., and Richard Barnes of Lake Charles; daughter, Elizabeth DeWoody of Sulphur; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Ms. Hinton died Saturday at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. She was born Jan. 6, 1947, in Cherokee County. She attended Fred Douglass High School in Jacksonville. She was a member of Bolton Chapel Baptist Church and a home health service provider.
Ms. Hinton was preceded in death by her parents, Henrietta and Ernest Fry, and a brother and sister.
She is survived by three brothers, Johnny Fry, James Fry and Henry Fry, all of Jacksonville; a sister, Joyce L. Fry of Dallas; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Mr. Derrett died Monday in Nacogdoches. He was born Dec. 11, 1960, in Jacksonville to Lee Manuel and Fannie Loftis Derrett. He was a logger and a member of the Anadarko Church of Christ. He lived in New Summerfield for many years and had lived in Nacogdoches for eight years. He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Manuel Derrett.
Survivors include his mother, Fannie Derrett of Jacksonville; a wife, Lillie M. Derrett of Nacogdoches; a son, Patrick Johnson of Nacogdoches; a daughter, Krystal Johnson of Nacogdoches; brothers, John Derrett of Los Angeles and James Derrett and Ronnie Derrett, both of Jacksonville; and sisters, Bernice Johnson of Jacksonville, Alice Jordan of New Summerfield, Lora Franklin of Rusk, Elaine Jordan of Henderson and Carolyn Stalling of Los Angeles.

Mr. Jenkins died Thursday. He was born in 1918 in Gallatin. He was a 1938 graduate of Gallatin High School, worked as a farmer and was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Jenkins. He is survived by his children Lola Foster, Frankie Mae Jenkins, Phillip Jenkins and Nancy Wrathall; grandchildren, John Foster, Shelley Krebill, Clint and Joshua Jenkins, Will and Angelina Wrathall and Nikki Dee Berry; and six great-grandchildren.

Ray C. Moore, 77, resident of Jacksonville, Texas passed away Monday afternoon following a long illness.
He was born in Valley Mills, Texas March 11, 1924. He began his flying career in the United States Air Force. He went on to become a corporate pilot with a very distinguished flying career over a period of 50 years. He flew Senator Lyndon Johnson, President Gerald Ford and many foreign dignitaries, as well as many movie stars.
He was aviation manager and chief pilot of Caesar’s palace and Caesar’s Boardwalk Regency of Atlantic City, New Jersey for many years.
He was rated in all Gulf Streams, Lear Jets and Lockheed Jet Star. After his retirement he went on to fly as chief pilot for Pepsi Venezuela and flew all over the world.
He served on the Board of Directors at Cherokee Country Club and was an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his father, John M. Moore and son, Douglas Moore.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Mary Laura Young Moore; his mother, Suzie Moore of Jackson-ville; his daughter, Beth Moore of Pasadena, Calif., his son, Ray C. Moore Jr. of Greenwich, Conn.; and two grandsons; also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He will be deeply missed by all of those who were fortunate enough to be touched by his life.
Funeral arrangements are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at Thompson Funeral Home in Jacksonville with Rev. Harold Lansford and Rev. Ben Davis officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park in Jacksonville.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Wayne Ralston, Berl Richardson, Bill Marable, Gordon Hardy, Stacy Davis, Mike Bellar, Robert Moore and Raleigh Blakley.
Honorary pallbearers will be all of his longtime golfing buddies.

Graveside services for Samuel L. Hawkins, 82, of McAllen will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Bullard City Cemetery.

Mr. Hawkins died Sunday at a McAllen hospital. He was born Nov. 26, 1918, in Johnson City, Ill. to Grover and Mattie Hawkins.
The family moved to Madison, Ky. when Sam was an infant. He was educated in the Kentucky schools. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France and Germany for four years.
He was division manager of Pennwalt Corporation with offices in McAllen.
He was affiliated with First United Methodist Church in McAllen, where he was a member of the administration board, Keystone Class and served on various committees. He was a delegate to the Southwest Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church for four years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Marguerite Hawkins, Helen Herring, Martha Pirtle and Ann Divine.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Kirkpatrick Hawkins of McAllen; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Russell Fisher; grandson, Ryan Fisher, all of Houston; and niece and nephew, Shirley Horton of Louisville, Ky,. and David Herring of Lafayette, Co.

He was a member and served as deacon of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and had worked as a logger. He was also the caretaker, secretary and treasurer of Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Evelyn Acker of Rusk; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Darliane Acker of Rusk; daughter and son-in-law, Beatrice and Fagan Lusk of Rusk; sister, Irene Blake of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He retired from truck driving and was an active member of his church and the Brotherhood. He taught Sunday Bible class and had served as deacon for several years. He was also a veteran of World War II.
Mr. Lofton was preceded in death by his son, three daughters, a sister, three brothers and his parents. He is survived by his sons, Cecil Lofton and Louis Tennard Jr., both of Houston, Tim Lofton of Nacogdoches and Steve Lofton of Dallas; daughters, Mary Mitchell of Alto, Mrs. Bennie Mitchell and Kay Lofton, both of Jacksonville, and Glenda Tyler of Houston; brother, George Lofton of Buckeye, Ariz.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Killion was a member of First Baptist Church, Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by husbands, Grady C. Nutt and Leon Killion and sons, Grady L. Nutt and Donald R. Nutt.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Richard Nutt of Allen; a daughter, Patricia Usleton of Apple Springs; seven grandsons; 10 great-grandchildren; four step-children; 22 step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Van Noy died Wednesday at a Tyler hospital. He was born Dec. 4, 1918, in Chelsea, Okla. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and received a master’s degree in aeronautical engineering. Mr. Van Noy was a Mason and a Shriner. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years, serving in the World War II and the Korean War Conflict. He was a Lt. Colonel, a pilot and a prisoner of war.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Van Noy of Frankston; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Janie Van Noy of Dallas and Glen Richard and Kathy Van Noy of Dallas; sister, Betsy Rapp of Arizona; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L.Z. Hinton Sr. and parents, Hix and Elrora Harris. Survivors include her husband, Felix Greer; sons, L.Z. Hinton Jr. of Dallas, Lonnie Hinton Sr., Larry Hinton Sr. and Johnny Hinton, all of Jacksonville; daughter, Naomi Moten of Jacksonville; brother, Cecil Harris Sr. of Fort Worth; sisters, Armatha Allen of Fort Worth and Ruthie Lewis of San Diego Calif.; 20 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Claudia O. Oliver; father, Jewell M. Bowman; step-father, Robert E. Oliver; and brother, George A. Bowman.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jana and Skeeter Irby of Jacksonville; two granddaughters, Juliann Irby of Jacksonville and Carly Irby of Jacksonville; brother, Jewell M. Bowman of Tyler; brother, Larry J. Bowman of Jacksonville; sister, Charlotte Dixon of Alto; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers include Dax Bowman, Cole Bowman, Steve Bowman, Allen Bowman, John Dixon and Paul Dixon.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the West Side Elementary School library.
