Services for Berdia Mozelle Snider, 80, of Bullard were at 2 p.m. today at Elliott Memorial Chapel at Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Bullard. Brothers Steve Handley and Chris White officiated.
Burial was at Bullard Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Snider died Monday in Tyler.
She was born June 14, 1922, in Tahoka. She had lived in Cherokee County for the past 17 years. She had worked as a librarian at the Bullard Public Library and was a member of Lakeside Church of Christ.
Mrs. Snider was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Snider and son, Willis Walker.
Survivors include her daughter, Euretha Ballow of Bullard; sister, Laudean Cox of Bonham; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Zachariah Willeford, Phillip Ranes, Kreston Willeford, Leldon Cox, Coot Dunn, Kevin Strawbridge, Chuck Cox and Vince Cox.
Honorary pallbearers included Aaron Handley, K.C. Melton, Dewayne Rains, Andrew Rains, Cameron Walker and Braden Walker.

Services for Bobby Dewayne Stockton, 64, of Rusk will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Crawford A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson. The Rev. Olen Rivers will officiate.

Mr. Stockton died Tuesday in Jacksonville. He was born Aug. 26, 1937, in New Salem. He had worked as a security guard for the Rusk State Hospital for 17 years.

Services for Alma Jo Coats, 87, of Poynor will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston with the Rev. Billy Boyd officiating.

Mrs. Coats died Tuesday in Tyler. She was born Feb. 22, 1915, in Henderson County. She was a former librarian at LaPoynor ISD for 21 years.
Mrs. Coats was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Josie Wylie; husband, Weldon Coats; and great-granddaughter, Chelby White.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Beverly Coats of Poynor; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jody Coats, Joshua Coats, Jimmy Donahue, Jonathon Donahue, Cody Donahue and Lynn White.

Mrs. Hinds died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at a Tyler hospital. She was born Oct. 12, 1954, in Jacksonville. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Mrs. Hinds was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Gladys Free; and son, Charles Loftin.

Services for Ruth Alexander, 79, of Jacksonville will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lon Morris College Chapel in Jacksonville. The Revs. Matt Idom, Virgil Matthews and Dr. Bruce Webb will officiate.

Miss Alexander died Tuesday at a Jacksonville hospital. She was born Nov. 11, 1922, in Jacksonville.
She achieved her bachelor’s degree from Texas Women’s University and her master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin.
She retired in 1988 after teaching speech and English at Lon Morris College for 29 years. She was also chairman of the LMC Drama Department for 16 of those years.
Prior to service at Lon Morris, she taught high school for 11 years, then taught at Centenary College in Louisiana for 14 years. She also taught at Linden State College in Vermont for one year.
She was a lifetime member of American Association of Retired Persons and also was a member of the Hyperion Club of Jacksonville.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church for many years, recently joining Central Baptist Church.
She is survived by her cousins, Dorothy and R.H. Harley, Stocker Bardwell and John Bardwell, all of Houston, and Mark Bardwell of Tyler; and special friends, the A.G. Acker family of Jacksonville.
Pallbearers will be Ed Snider, Paul Glass, George Griffin, Dirk Sheridan, John Ross and Sandy Terry.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Sessions died Wednesday at his residence. He was born Dec. 13, 1953, in Rusk. He graduated Rusk High School and had been a longtime resident of Ponta. He worked at Texas Utilities at Lake Striker and was a member of First Baptist Church in Rusk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Dreaburn Sessions, and brother, Michael Sessions.
Survivors include his wife, Lanette Sessions of Ponta; sons, Michael Sessions and Allen Elizey of Ponta; daughters, Jennifer and Jessica Sessions of Ponta; father-and mother-in-law, Lane and Hilda Elizey of New Summerfield; sister-in-law and husband, Terri and Phillip Smith of New Summerfield; brother-in-law and wife, Robin and Deborah Elizey of Thornton, Colo.; niece, Rachel Elizey of New Summerfield; brother-in-law, Alan Elizey of Jacksonville; and several aunts, uncle and cousins.

Mr. Gothard died Sunday at his residence. He was born Dec. 5, 1924, in Henderson.
He was a cattleman and retired businessman.
He served in the 8th Division Army Air Force as a radio operator during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jean Gothard of Henderson; daughters and son-in-law, Jerri Gay and Mark Dowden of Henderson and Susan Easley of Tyler; grandchildren, Cal Easley, Baxter Easley, Morgan Dowden and Meagan Dowden; sisters, Connie Tate of Henderson, Frances Ventresca of Houston and Avis Rithman of LeBanon III; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ms. Hogge died Monday at her residence. She was born July 15, 1923, in Wilton, Ark.
She was a retired legal secretary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle Pauline Ward and Harrison Davis Hogge.
She is survived by her sisters, Esther Brindle of Jacksonville; Davie Jackson of McAllen, Lou Anders of Liberty and Robyn Robertson of Las Cruces, N.M.; 14 nieces and nephews; 11 grand-nieces and nephews; and five great-grand nieces and nephews.

Goldie Gullion
Mrs. Goldie Gullion, age 92, of Crockett, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2002, at her residence. Mrs. Gullion was born July 24, 1909, in Cherokee County and had been living in Crockett for the past 17 years. She was a retired supervisor for the Abilene State School. Mrs. Gullion was active in numerous Garden Clubs and was a member of Crockett Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughters, Patsy Smith and husband Truman of Florence, Ala., and Gwin Oliver and husband, Chuck of Crockett; son, James Gullion, and wife, Helen, of Chandler; grandchildren, Robbie Wallace of Combine, Mark Smith of Hewett, Debbie Roskos of Midway, Shawn Smith of North Florence, Ala., Pam Moore of Henderson, Jan Bowers of Troup, Zane Oliver of Crockett and Lance Oliver of Nacogdoches; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gullion was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Lee Gullion in 1991; daughter, Madge Chandler in 1952; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Goldie Gullion will be held Saturday, June 22, 2002, at 2 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Mr. Carl Allen officiating. Interment

Mrs. Atkins died Tuesday at a Palestine hospital. She was born Feb. 28, 1909, in Farmerville, La. She had lived in Rusk all her adult life. She was a member of West Union Baptist Church and a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Atkins; sons, Ira Atkins Jr., Donzell, Billy Joy and Billy Joe Atkins; daughters, Earnestina Parks and Fula Mae Micheaux; four brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include daughters, Evelyn Foreman of Rusk, Judy Pryor of Palestine and Mary Ann Pope of Corpus Christi; 34 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Adams died Wednesday. He was born March 10, 1933, in New Summerfield.
He attended New Summerfield public school and Fred Douglass High School in Jacksonville.
He was a longtime resident of Jacksonville and an active member and deacon of Bowens Temple.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Imogine Williams Adams; mother-in-law, Nellie A. Williams; son, Michael Adams, all of Jacksonville; daughters and sons-in-law, Irma and Charles Terrell of Wichita, Kan., Leona and Chester Bowens of Jacksonville; Janis Robinson of Jacksonville; brothers, M.C. Adams and Willie Mack Adams, both of Dallas; sister, Eva Lee McCullar of Dallas; sisters-in-law, Joyce Alexander, Nellie Walker, Ethel Williams and Brenda Rembert, all of Wichita, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Cundiff died Sunday in Jacksonville. He was worn April 4, 1907, in Mexia. He was a retired accountant for Southwestern Electric Service Company in Jacksonville. He was a member of First Christian Church in Jacksonville and was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Cundiff, and his daughter, Mary Alice.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Celia Fritch of Roy, Wash., and his great-grandchildren.

Albert Gene Anders (Yogi) was born on June 26, 1942, and went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on June 14, 2002.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Verlene Anders; four brothers, Charles, Paul, Albert Ray and Dwyane Anders; two sisters, Rachel Anders and Patsy Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Anders; one daughter, Karan Ann Cartwright, two step-children, stepson, Core Rogers, and stepdaughter, Vera Rogers; five brothers, Tommy and Ricky Anders, Houston; Charlie Woodson, Nacogdoches; J.D. Watkins, Gun Barrel City; Lonnie Anders, Dallas; four sisters, Elmira Mallard, Johnnie Fay Parson and Annie Lee Landon, all of Jacksonville; Gwen (Norris) Montgomery of Troup; a loving stepmother, Mrs. Jerline Simmons Anders of Lufkin; a host of nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.
