Funeral services for Heather Folden, 18, of Jacksonville will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June, 21, 2002, at Central Baptist Church in Jacksonville, with the Rev. Bruce Webb officiating.
Burial will be held at the Meador Cemetery, Jacksonville.
Services are under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Miss Folden died Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at a Tyler hospital.
She was born April 17, 1984, in Dallas.
Miss Folden was a student. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Jacksonville.
She was a graduate of Jacksonville High School - Class of 2002, member of the National Honor Society, co-president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, member of the varsity basketball team of J.H.S. and she came to Christian faith at an early age.
Survivors include parents, Dr. Larry and Terri Folden of Jacksonville; sister, Lauren Folden, of Jacksonville; grandparents, Jean Petri of Jacksonville and Wilson and Joyce Folden of Jacksonville; great-grandmother, Mrs. Mabel Woodham, of Nacogdoches,; and several aunts and uncles, Gary and Cindy Guinn, Ed and Mindy Gellock, Andy and Patti Calcote, Carl and Debra Petri, and Lewis and Tracie Petri.
Pallbearers will be Joe Ballard, Barry Autry, Charlie Brewer, Mike Cummins, Pat McCown, Matt Montgomery, Sandy Terry, Leon Anderson, Kelly Traylor, Cliff Adams, and Jerry Glidewell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Adams, Justin Roddy, John Banks, Brad Brewer, Jake Thompson, Matt Tarrant, David Socia, Clint Stephens, and Terry Jones.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Central Baptist Church, Jacksonville.
Memorials may be made to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund or Heather Folden Memorial Scholarship Fund at Austin Bank.

Preston James Pollock
Services for Preston James Pollock, 72, of Pierce’s Chapel community near Jacksonville and formerly of Texas City and Sweet Home, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville. Father Anthony McLaughlin and the Rev. Enid Shepard will officiate.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park in Jacksonville.
Mr. Pollock died Monday at his residence. He was born April 3, 1930, in Woakum. He was a retired operating engineer and was formerly employed with Sterling Chemical and Monsanto in Texas City. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the U.S. Marine Reserves and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Pollock of Pierce’s Chapel; son and daughter-in-law, Seeton James and Stephanie Pollock of Houston; daughter, Traci Jo Pollock of Plano; brother, Elmo Pollock, Halletsville; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Ed Owen of Texas City; grandson, Alexander Pollock of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Seeton, Ricky Seeton, Mark Seeton, Timmy Smith, Don Pollock and Rusty Menefee.
Honorary pallbearers include Richard Seeton, Roger Seeton, Michael Pollock, Andrew Pollock, Jimmy Smith, Dennis Herrington, Kevin Herrington, Trevor Seeton, Randy Menefee, Roger Seeton Jr., Jim Magel, Ron Pollock, Darrell Pollock, Howel Pollock, Mae Marshall, Chris Marshall, Donald Klyng Jr., Dee Edmundson, and Larry Seeton Jr.

Funeral services for Mellie “Jane” Pike, 70, of Mixon, TX, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2002, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville, TX, with the Rev. Jerry Hawbaker officiating.
Burial will be held at the Mixon Cemetery, Mixon, TX.
Mrs. Pike died Wednesday, June 19, 2002 in Tyler, TX.
She was born January 13,1932, in Jacksonville, TX.
Mrs. Pike was a bookkeeper and homemaker.
She was a member of Afton Grove Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church in Mixon, TX.
She was a graduate of Bullard High School.
Mrs. Pike was preceded in death by her father, James Sanders; mother, Gertrude Smith Sanders; sister, Gertie Sanders; and son, Jody Dale Pike.
Survivors include spouse, Wilbert A. Pike of Mixon, TX; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Lori Pike of Jacksonville, TX and Randy and Marla Pike of Troup, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Mark Smith of Tyler, TX; six grandchildren, Teresa Toombs, Chris Arriola, Maranda Pike, Amber Pike, Wesley Pike, and Brandon Pike; and two great grandchildren, Connor and Camille Toombs.
Pallbearers will be Brad Pike, Aaron Pike, Jack Pierce, Dr. James Low, Ronnie Lewis, and Rocky Wells.

Graveside services for Grady Campbell, 79, of Gallatin are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
The Rev. Don Copeland will officiate.
Mr. Campbell died Monday at his residence.
He was born Oct. 13, 1922, in Wilson, Okla. He had lived 30 years in this area. He was a Baptist and the former owner of Campbell Auto Supply in Jacksonville and B&G Auto Supply in Rusk. He also served in the U.S. Navy and Marines in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Campbell of Gallatin; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Pacita Campbell of Gallatin; brother, Norris Campbell of Rusk; and sister, Margurite Crane of Jacksonville.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Services for John T. McElvany, 80, of Frankston and formerly of Gresham, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Frankston. The Revs. Eddie Hilburn and Dr. Jim Humphries will officiate.
Burial will be at Cathedral In The Pines in Tyler under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
Mr. McElvany died Monday at his residence. He was born Oct. 16, 1921, in Flint.
He was a retired employee of Sears, where he was employed for 10 years. He also served as the mayor of Berryville for eight years.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Frankston, where he served as a deacon.
He also served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy McElvany of Frankston; son and daughter-in-law, John and Cheri McElvany of Irving; daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Marvin Romsdahl of Houston and Barbara and William Myers of Richmond, Va.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise and J.C. Arnold of Texarkana and Juanita and Otice Johnson of Flint; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Norman Neal, Walker Smith, Bob Crawford, Al Colb, Bob Selman and aBurks.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Howard Leon (Woody) Woodall
Howard Leon (Woody) Woodall, 77, former mayor of Grand Saline and retired publisher of the Grand Saline Sun, died Monday, June 17, 2002.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at First United Methodist Church of Grand Saline. Rev. Roger Garbs will officiate. Bartley Funeral Home will direct the services. Burial will follow a Woodside Cemetery in Grand Saline.
Mr. Woodall and his wife, Fern, owned the Grand Saline Sun and Edgewood Enterprise from 1972 until late 1986. They also owned and operated, at various times during that period, the Van Progress, the Tri-County News in Mabank and the Wood County (Quitman) Democrat.
Mr. Woodall was born August 18, 1924, in Goodlett, Texas, and later graduated from Williams High School near there. He was a medical corpsman in the European Theater during World War II and survived both the Normandy Invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. After the war he attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and Adams State College in Alamosa, Colo. In 1949 he married Fern Barham of Wright City, Texas.
He worked as a roughneck and then as a pumper and gauger in the East Texas oil field and later in Kansas and Oklahoma. In 1963, he joined the Jacksonville Daily Progress as an advertising account executive but most loved his additional duties as a sports writer. He worked there until he and his wife bought newspapers in Grand Saline and Edgewood.
While in Grand Saline, he served as president of he Chamber of Commerce and held various other offices in the chamber and the Grand Saline Economic Development Corporation. He served as mayor for two terms from 1987 until 1991.
In 1991, he was named Man of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Grand Saline. He was for many years an active member and director of Texas Press Association and North and East Texas Press Association.
After they sold the newspaper company, the Woodalls traveled extensively by motor home, spending time in every state except Hawaii and visiting most of the Canadian provinces. He was an avid reader, hobbyist photographer and loved maps. Mr. Woodall was also an amateur artist, working in pencil and watercolors. He completed art consignments for a number of families and organizations in Grand Saline and Jacksonville.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Fern; by son, Bill and his wife, Nanette, of Tyler; by son, Bert, and his wife, Denise, of Prescott, Ariz.; and by daughter, Lisa Reid, and her husband B.J., of Tulsa, Okla.
He is also survived by grandson, Josh Woodall, and his wife, Emily, of Omaha, Neb.; granddaughter, Katie Noland, and her husband, Mike, of Tyler; granddaughters, Meagan and Kelsey Reid, both of Dallas; step-granddaughter, Heather Crist, and her husband, Chip, of Tyler; and by step-grandson, Phil Shinalt, and his wife, Reagan, of Jacksonville. He is survived by two great-grandchildren, Jackson Noland and Faith Crist, both of Tyler; and several step-great-grandchildren in Lubbock and Forney.
Also among the survivors are sisters, Beth Homes of North Plate, Neb., and Barbara Woodall of Grove, Okla.; and brother-in-law, Con Rogers of Manassa, Colo. He also leaves countless friends.
Pallbearers will be John Rash, Floyd Stewart, Bruce Cheatham and Jimmy Shield of Grand Saline, Oscar Rodgers of Will’s Point and Pat Allison of Dallas.

David Ismael Rubio
Services for David Ismael Rubio, 1, of New Summerfield, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Guadalupe Catholic Church in New Summerfield with Father Jose Cortez officiating.

Services for Billie M. Campbell, 73, of Frankston, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston.
Burial followed at the Poynor Cemetery.
Mrs. Campbell died May 30, 2004, at a Jacksonville Hospital. She was born Nov. 14, 1930 in Frankston.

Howell Robins
Services for Howell Robins, 91, of Bullard, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Southern Baptist Church in Bullard, with Rev. Donnie Barron officiating.
Burial will follow at Bullard Cemetery, under the direction of Autry Funeral Home of Jacksonville.
Mr. Robins died May 31, 2004, in Whitehouse. He was born June 23, 1912, in Bullard.
Mr. Robins was a retired auto mechanic, the former owner of Robins Texaco in Bullard, and a member of Southern Baptist Church of Bullard.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nelda Robins, one brother, one sister, and four grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Mildred Robins of Bullard; son, Bill Robins of Bullard; daughters, Kathy Harris of Bullard, Wanda Jo Harris of Bullard; sisters, Louise Phillips of Tyler, Reba Morris of Tyler, Lois Kuhlmann of Bullard, Lou Ella Baker of Tyler; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Frances M. Bryant, 49, of Jacksonville, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 11 at the Wallace Thompson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jan Pate will officiate the service, and burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Bryant died June 8, 2003, at a Tyler hospital. She was born July 24, 1953, in Rusk.
Mrs. Bryant was a floral designer at Flowers-R-Us in Rusk for six years and was a member of Rusk-Alto Chapter 79 Order of the Eastern Star. Formerly of Rusk, she lived in Jacksonville 13 years.
Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her parents, A.B. and Morene Trawick; and son, Shannon Dewayne Trawick.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce Bryant of Jacksonville; sons, James P. Brittain of Etoile and Daniel L. Brittain of Rusk; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Sherri Trawick of Rusk, Robert and Sherry Trawick of Lufkin, Donald Trawick of Rusk and David and Betty Trawick of Rusk; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Pete Terry of Ponta; five grandchildren; 15 nieces and nephews; and 11 great-nieces and nephews.
