A. Ray Rogers, 69, of Dunbar died Oct. 18, 1999, in Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston, after a long illness.
He was a process specialist with Union Carbide, a member of Dunbar First Church of God and VFW, an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a lifelong resident of Dunbar.
Surviving: wife, Polly Rogers; sons, Robert R. of South Charleston, Philip of Cross Lanes; sisters, Ruth Hively and Frances Westfall, both of Nitro, Carol Godbey of Hurricane; two grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday, October 21, 1999 at Dunbar First Church of God with the Rev. Larry McCallister officiating. Burial in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, was in charge of arrangements.

Lillian Melton Roach, 94, of Winfield died October 4, 1999, in Putnam General Hospital after a short illness.
She was a member of Winfield United Methodist Church, a retired schoolteacher from Putnam and Mason counties and a lifelong resident of Winfield.

Franklin H. Rumbaugh, 69, of Winfield died October 8, 1999, in Memorial Division, CAMC.
He was retired from Volkswagen of America. He was a lifelong resident of Winfield.

Mrs. Hazel B. Radford, 94, of Winfield died September 30, 1999, in Putnam General Hospital after a long illness.
She was a homemaker, a 68-year member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Charleston, a member of Kanawha Valley Homemakers Demonstration Club, and a 46-year resident of Winfield.
Surviving: sons, Fred A. Radford of Winfield and Philip A. Radford of Scott Depot; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Charles R. Ritenburg
Charles R. Ritenburg, 80, of Nitro, formerly of Verona, Pa., died Sept. 13, 1999, in Sunrise Nursing Home, Hurricane, after a long illness.
He was a native of Arkport, N.Y., a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, and a retired pastor, having served various churches in Philippi, Pennsylvania and New York.
Surviving: wife, Hazel Ritenburg; daughter, Lois Thompson of Hurricane; son, Daniel of Portsmouth, Va.; six grandchildren.

She was a registered nurse at Thomas Memorial Hospital with 10 years’ service. She was a graduate of Kanawha Valley Hospital School of Nursing and attended Black Betsy Community Church.

She was born in Buffalo, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Issac & Alice (Wright) Smith. She was retired from Ranco Controls of North America, Plain City, after 35 years' of service. She attended Plain City United Methodist Church.
