PATSY C. TERACONA, 85, of TOMS RIVER
PATSY C. TERACONA, 85, of TOMS RIVER, died Wednesday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was a projectionist in the audiovisual department at Fort Monmouth for 37 years, retiring in 1971. He was an Army veteran. Born in Neptune, he lived in Long Branch before moving to Toms River in 1971.
His wife, Rose Teracona, died in 1988. Surviving are two daughters, Gloria Bloom of Medford, and Patricia Benjamino of Jackson; a brother, Eugene Teracona of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Marion Tobia and Eleanor Quatrano, both of Neptune; and three grandsons.
Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. today at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.

CHRISTINA ROSE MIRAGLIA, 3-week-old daughter of Mario A. and Lisa A. Demyan Miraglia of TOMS RIVER
CHRISTINA ROSE MIRAGLIA, 3-week-old daughter of Mario A. and Lisa A. Demyan Miraglia of TOMS RIVER, died Wednesday at Children's Hospital, Philadelphia.
Her sister, Gianna Nicole Miraglia, died in 1994; and her grandmother, Caterina Miraglia, died in 1998. Surviving are a brother, Michael Angelo, and a sister, Marisa Caterina Miraglia, both at home; a paternal grandfather, Joseph of Toms River; and maternal grandparents, Stephen and Mary Papera Demyan.
Visiting hours will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.

Alfred `Al` H. Luthman, avid golfer and skier
WATCHUNG -- Alfred "Al" H. Luthman, 79, died Wednesday (March 1, 2000) at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield.
Born in North Plainfield, he lived there until 1965 when he and the former Alice Clarke married and moved to Watchung.
Mr. Luthman was employed for more than 40 years as a system analyst. He retired in 1982 from the Schaefer Brewing Co. in Newark having previously been employed by Mack Truck in Plainfield, Dupont and E.D.S. (Electronics Data Systems), both on Wall Street in New York City, and Knickerbocker Toy in Edison.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
Mr. Luthman was an avid golfer who won numerous awards for his ability. He played at all four Somerset County courses with the Somerset County Seniors League and participated in the St. Mary`s Stony Hill Church outing at the Shackamaxon Golf Course in Scotch Plains. In addition, he was a member of the Watchung Amateur Ski Club for more than 40 years and was a member of the Optimists Club of Watchung. His hobbies included gardening and woodworking.
In addition to his wife Alice, Al is survived by one son, Thomas R. Luthman of North Plainfield; a cousin, George Egel of North Plainfield; three nephews, Peter and Robbie Luthman, both of Denver, Col., and Roger Forgerson of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; one niece, Annlouise Altomari of Castle Rock, Col.; and several grand nieces and grand nephews.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, followed by at 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Mary`s Stony Hill Church in Watchung. Interment will be at St. Mary`s Stony Hill Cemetery in Watchung.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Muhlenberg Hospice Fund, c/o Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center, Park Ave. and Randolph Road, Plainfield, N.J. 07061 would be appreciated.

Harry Hillard, World War II veteran
BRIDGEWATER -- Harry Hillard, 86, died Thursday (March 2, 2000) in his home.
Born in Plymouth, Pa., Harry moved to New Jersey in 1945. He lived in the Finderne section of Bridgewater for the past 53 years.
Mr. Hillard worked for GAF (formerly Ruberoid) in South Bound Brook for 33 years before retiring in 1979.
A World War II veteran, Mr. Hillard served in the Navy aboard an LST in the Atlantic Theatre. He received an honorable discharge in 1945. Harry was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post No. 2290.
In addition, Mr. Hillard was a charter member and a life member with the Finderne Fire Co.
Mr. Hillard is survived by his loving wife, Genevieve; a daughter, Sandra Taylor of South Plainfield; a son, Harry D. of Bridgewater; a grandson, Darrell Taylor; a son-in-law, Frank Taylor; a brother, Joe of Florida; and two sisters, Betty James of Florida and Ruth Goldstein of California.
Mr. Hillard`s funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at the Bridgewater Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mary A. Miklowcic, mother, grandmother
MANVILLE -- Mary A. Gross Miklowcic, 83, died Wednesday (March 1, 2000) at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy of natural causes.
Born in Browndale, Pa., she was raised in Forest City, Pa. Between the ages of 14 and 30 she lived in New York City and worked there as a governess. Upon her marriage in 1945, she and her husband moved to Manville.
For the most part, Mary was a homemaker, but she did work out of her home as a seamstress. She was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville and a member of its Rosary Society. She was also a former member of the Sacred Heart School PTA.
Mrs. Miklowcic was predeceased by her husband, John F. Miklowcic in 1999, two brothers, Stanley and Raymond Gross, and a sister, Angeline Essex.
Surviving are three daughters, Kathleen Chabra of Falls Church, Va., Barbara M. Foley of Milltown and Geraldine G. Miklowcic of Chester Springs, Pa.; two sisters, Jean Biro of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Christine Bloxam of Carbondale, Pa.; and three grandchildren, Nicole Sullivan of Winston-Salem, N.C. and John and James Foley, both of Milltown.
Funeral services will begin 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Fucillo and Warren Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Manville, followed by a 9 a.m. funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Burial will be in the family plot at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Thomas Loughlin, bank vice president
BERNARDS -- Thomas Loughlin, 97, died Tuesday (Feb. 29, 2000) in Fellowship Hall.
Mr. Loughlin worked for the United Savings Bank in the Essex County area for 43 years before retiring as vice president.
Surviving are son, Thomas Jr.; daughter, Mrs. Joan Welch; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of the Valley Church in Orange following the funeral from the Codey Funeral Home, Orange.

William Janovsky Sr., U.S. Navy veteran
BRIDGEWATER -- William Janovsky Sr., 69, died Wednesday (March 1, 2000) at Somerset Medical Center.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, he moved to Somerset and then to Bridgewater 34 years ago.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean conflict and was on the U.S.S. Coral Sea. Mr. Janovsky belonged to the Bakery and Confectionary Union Local #3 of New York City and also worked for Johnson Johnson Health Care System of Piscataway for 14 years in the maintenance facility department and still worked as a part-time worker.
Mr. Janovsky was a past president and former coach of the Bridgewater Athletic Club. He was a platelet donor for the New Jersey Blood Bank Donor.
Surviving are his wife Lois; daughter, Carolyn Polkowski of Bridgewater; three sons, William of Hillsborough Township, Thomas of Belle Mead and David of Manville; two sisters, Patricia Yurcisin of New Brunswick and Shirley Bakos of Hillsdale; two brothers, George Janovsky of Hopewell and John Janovsky of North Brunswick; five grandchildren, Jennifer Janovsky, David Janovsky, Tommy Janovsky, Jillian Janovsky and Emily Polkowski.
Mass will be at noon Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville and the interment will be at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater.
Viewing will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Cusick Funeral Home in Somerville.

Rose Caruso Rosania, grandmother of nine
CRANFORD -- Mrs. Rose Caruso Rosania, 95, died Wednesday (March 1, 2000) at Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth.
She was born in Orange, lived in Westfield and Scotch Plains and settled in Cranford 15 years ago.
Mrs. Rosania was an assembler for Prince Matchabelli Perfume Co. in Bloomfield, and worked in the Bloomfield High School as a cafeteria aide, as a seamstress for Woletz Cleaners in Bloomfield and as a nurse`s aide in Columbus Hospital in Newark.
She was a member of the Scotch Plains Meridians.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Squires and Mrs. Dolores V. Buerkle; one son, Joseph A.; one brother, Joseph Caruso; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday at the Rossi Funeral Home, 1937 Westfield Ave., Scotch Plains.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
