Of Wakefield, MA formerly of Belmont, died on January 14, 2008 in her 93rd year. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Cook. She was the loving mother of Dorothy Clougherty of South Boston, Robert Cook of Nashua, NH, and Carol Hrabovszky of Wakefield. She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grand-daughter.
Born in Arlington, MA on August 19, 1914, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (O’Neill) Stingel. She was the sister of Margaret Campbell of Woburn, Elizabeth Catalano of FL, and the late Mary Carroll, John Stingel, Dorothy Bailey, James Stingel, Adrienne Johnson, Marjorie Juhaz, Patricia Shields, Jeanne O’Connell and Herbert Stingel.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Cook will be held in the Stanton Funeral Home, 786 Mt. Auburn Street (Route 16), Watertown on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A visitation will take place prior to the funeral service from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Interment in Belmont Cemetery.

Concetta A. 'Connie' (Bartoli) Marto
January 11, 2008
Died Friday, January 11, 2008 in Saint Elizabeth Hospital, Brighton. She was 94.
Her husband, Anthony Marto died in 1994. She was born June 1, 1913 in Boston, a daughter of the late Giacchino and Maria (Barsamello) Bartoli. She was a graduate of Woburn High School. She earned a Bachelor degree from Boston University School of Fine Arts.
Mrs. Marto was an accomplished musician and was classically trained. She was an opera singer and sang many Italian operas. She taught piano and voice lessons for many years. In the early 1940’s she had the honor of being the opening singer for Frank Sinatra at a fundraiser for Michael Curley, Mayor of Boston. She also had the honor of singing with Perry Como and enjoyed having her own radio show in the early 1940’s. For over 30 years she was the organist at the former St. Theresa of the Little Flower Church on Mount Auburn Street in Watertown. She also maintained membership in the Italian Historical Society.
She leaves her children, Peter A. Marto and his wife, Jaci, of Bedford, Nancy E. Marto of Charlestown and Gina E. Bianchi of Watertown; grandmother of Jared A. Bianchi and his wife, Katie of Framingham, Adam A. Marto of Bourne and Alex A. Marto of Bedford; great-grandmother of Ayla Bianchi; sister of the late Joseph J. Bartoli, Elvira Messina and Josephine Sullivan.
Funeral from the Stanton Funeral Home 786 Mt. Auburn St. (Rt16) Watertown on Wednesday at 9:30 A.M. Funeral Mass in The Church of Saint Patrick, 212 Main Street at 10:30 A.M. She was the loving grandmother of Jeffrey & Whitney Ryan of NY and Ryan, Holly, & Sean McLaughlin of Belmont.
Born in Somerville, MA on February 6, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Jan and Louise (Gotszelt) Galinis. She was the sister of Jeanette Pecevich of Lynnfield, Frances Smaldone of Chelmsford and the late Angela Cameron, Louise Maturse and Anthony Galinis.
Helen’s funeral will be held from the Stanton Funeral Home, 786 Mount Auburn Street, Watertown on Monday January 14, 2008 at 8:00 A.M. A Funeral Mass will take place in the Church of Saint Luke, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont at 9:00 A.M.. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are scheduled on Sunday January 13, 2008 from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. Interment in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery.

Of Watertown died Friday, January 4, 2008 at the Neville Center in Cambridge, MA. She was 92 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late Leone DiLelio.
Born in Watertown, MA on October 10, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Nazzareno and Guiseppina (D’Onofrio) Treglia. She was the loving sister of Aida R. Treglia of Watertown and the late Anthony J. Treglia. She was the sister in law of Marjorie Treglia of Watertown. She is also survived by her nephews, Anthony R. Treglia of Marstons Mills, MA and Laurence Treglia of Watertown, MA, and her niece Margaret Treglia of Watertown.
A funeral mass will take place at Sacred Heart Church, Watertown on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. A visitation will be held in the Stanton Funeral Home prior to the funeral mass from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Interment in Mount Auburn Cemetery following services.
Mrs. DiLelio was retired from Watertown Savings Bank, where she was employed as a clerk.

Born in Barton, Vermont on July 13, 1924, she was the beloved daughter of the late Gustavus and Leone (Wheeler) Burdick. She was the loving sister of Edward Burdick of Watertown, MA.
Roma received an Associates Degree in Music from Vermont Junior College. She retired in 1994 from Danforth Associates, where she worked as a secretary.
Funeral services and interment for Ms. Burdick will be held privately.

Devoted father of Mary Ellen Smith of Walpole, Francis B. Smith, Jr. of South Easton, David J. Smith of Newton, Martha A. Marston of Needham, Maureen S. Horgan of Westboro, and Paul Gregory Smith of Ashburnham. Adored “Papa” of Francis B. Smith III, Christina Seaver, Heather and Meghan Smith, Christopher and Liam Marston, Carey Npoleone, Caitlin Horgan, Anna Servideo, Olivia Nicholas, and Colin Smith, and the late Benjamin Horgan. Also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, 2 beloved sisters-in-law, Margaret Sargent of Yarmouth and Louise Loser of Cambridge, and many nieces and nephews.
Alumnus of Holy Cross College Class of 1933 and Boston College Law School. U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. Mr. Smith was a long time attorney for the U.S. Veterans Administration.

Devoted brother of Clare Gacicia, Gerard “Ardie” Batchelder, Genevieve Batchelder and the late Cecilia Melia.
