Marie Antoinette Acquaviva
Marie A. Acquaviva, 82, died Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA. Marie was born in Everett and educated in the Malden School system graduating with the Class of 1940. Mrs. Acquaviva was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Parish and a member of the Women’s Guild. Marie enjoyed making ceramics, was a great cook and a loving mother, she truly enjoyed caring for her family. Marie had been a resident of Malden for the last thirty-six years and was formerly of the North End of Boston.
She is survived by her son Mark J. Acquaviva of Malden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Savino J. Acquaviva, her parents, Domenic and Margaret (Tosti) Lombardi, her son Joseph J. Acquaviva, her sister Jeanette Schena, and her brother Mark Lombardi.
Visitation will be held at the Weir- MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Friday December 17th from 10 - 11:00 AM
Funeral service will be held Friday, , December 17, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Weir MacCuish Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard T. Bakker of St. Joseph's Church will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.

Cornelia Adams
Cornelia Adams, 96, longtime resident of Malden, died Saturday, March 06, 2004 at Epoch Senior Care of Melrose in Melrose, Massachusetts. Cornelia was born and raised in Wallington, NJ. After high school, she attended Drakes Business College in Passaic NJ where she graduated with her Bachelors Degree. For many years she worked as a secretary for Nabisco Foods. In 1932, she moved to Malden with her husband Robert D. Adams, and she became an active member of the community.She was a longtime active member of the First Congregational Church in Malden. She was also a Life Member of Ladies Hospital Aid, at Malden Hospital and active in the YWCA.
She is survived by her son Robert F. Adams of Malden,. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Katrina Adams-Bartlett of KC, and John Adams of Belmont, as well as one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Adams and her parents John F. and Mary (Baker) Polmann and her sisters Marion Paduch and Mildred Frey, and her brother Conelius Polman.
Funeral Services will be held graveside at the Forest Dale Cemetery, 150 Forest Street, Malden, on Thursday, March 11, 2004 at 1:30 P.M.Rev. Rebecca Girash of the First Congregational Church in Malden will be officiating.

Hugh M. Adams
Hugh M. Adams, Jr. 71, a retired courier, died Tuesday, January 1, 2002 at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center in Medford, MA. Hugh was born and educated in Malden and after completing school enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in November of 1949. When he was discharged he became a courier for Bay Bank of Boston and retired in 1994. He was a member of the Centre United Methodist Church of Malden. Mr. Adams was a lifelong resident of Malden, MA..
He is survived by his sister, Charlotte M. Caron of Melrose, her brother, Ernest S. Adams of Wilmington, his sister, Barbara L. Adams, of Malden and several nieces and nephews.
He was born February 26, 1930 in Malden, MA. the son of the late Hugh M., Sr. and Florence (Ellinger) Adams.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street Malden, on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM

Robert Frederick Adams
Robert F. Adams, 72, died Saturday, December 4, 2004 at the Elmhurst Nursing Home in Melrose, MA. Robert was born in Hackensack, NJ and moved with his parents to Malden where he was raised and educated in the Malden School system. He continued his education at the University of Maine. In 1956 he joined the US Air Force and served in the Korean War. He served most of his tour at the McGuire Air Force Base in Trenton, NJ and Keeslar Air Force Base, MS. After the war he served in the US Air Force Reserve and was discharge as a Staff Sergeant in May of 1960.
Bob's thirty year career as a civil Engineer saw employment with Dana Perkins Company, Faye Spoffard, the SEA Company and the Western & Simpson Company in the Boston area. He worked mostly with water and sewer systems, in the construction industry. Bob later retired in 1990. He was a life time member of the First Church in Malden Congregational and an avid bowler and fan of the church’s softball team. Mr. Adams lived in Malden for 72 years.
Bob is survived by his daughter Katrina A. Charles of Kansas City, MO, his son, John D. Adams of Belmont, and his cherished grandson Ethan Bartlett.
He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly Cahill, his father Robert D. Adams, and his mother Cornelia Polmann.
He was born March 8, 1932 in Hackensack, New Jersey, the son of the late Robert and Cornelia (Polmann) Adams. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War having attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He enlisted on May 23, 1952 at Boston, MA and was discharged on May 22, 1956 in Trenton, NJ.
Visitation will be held at the Weir -MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Tuesday evening from 7-9 PM

Ruth Evelyn Adams
Ruth Evelyn Adams, 88, died Thursday evening, November 28, 2002 at her daughters home in Wilmington, MAMrs. Adams had lived with her daughter for the last seven years and was previously from Malden and Melrose. Ruth was a retired assembly line worker for Lawson Tool & Die Co. in Malden for 40 years. Ruth retired in 1987. She was a member of the First Church in Malden Congregational and later with the Melrose Highlands Congregational Church. Ruth was an avid ballroom dancer.She loved to sew and do all kinds of crafts. She was fond of cooking and loved to travel.
She is survived by her daughters, Ruth A. Brunetta of Wilmington, Marjorie A. O'Neill of Malden and Pauline E. Wilcox of Tewksbury. Sister of Franklin Welch of Westwood, Warren Welch of Waltham and Caroline Genson of CA, Also survived by 12 grandchildren & 35 great-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul E. Adams, her father Edwin A. Welch, her mother Ruth C. Cree, her sister Eleanor Coulter, her granddaughter Linda L. Zink and her grandson Donald B. Adams Jr..
She was born April 1, 1914 in Malden, MA the daughter of Edwin and Ruth (Cree) Welch.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden on Tuesday evening, Dec. 3rd. from 7-9 PM.
Contributions in Ruth's memory maybe made to the Alzheimer's Association, 36 Cameron Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140-1102.

Irene (Carroll) Ahearn
Irene (Carroll) Ahearn, 80, died Friday, February 15, 2002 at the Woodlawn Nursing and Rehabilitation in Everett, MA Irene was born and educated in Medford, MA graduating from Medford High School. She worked as a cook for many years, and was the Head Cook for both Raytheon of Lexington and Tufts University retiring in 1970. After her retirement, she worked as a volunteer for many years at the Malden Hospital and the New England Memorial Hospital of Stoneham, with her husband Norman. Mrs. Ahearn lived in Malden, MA. for 35 Years and was previously from Medford.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol De Mattia of Malden, her sons, Norman E. Ahearn, Jr. of LA and John M. Ahearn of Salem , her sister, Eleanor Cambell of Beverly, sixteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Ahearn, Sr.
She was born August 6, 1921 in Medford, Massachusetts the daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Bennett) Carroll.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Monday, Feb 18th from 6-9PM
At the request of the family a private family service will be held on Tuesday. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Mausoleum in Malden.

Norman Eugene Ahearn Sr.
Norman Eugene Ahearn Sr., 85, a retired millwright for Raytheon Co. of Andover, MA, where he worked for 27 years, died Thursday, March 22, 2001 at the Danvers Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Danvers, MAMr. Ahearn had lived in Malden for the last 35 years, and was previously from Medford. Norman retired from the Raytheon Company in 1986. Norman and his wife Irene performed volunteer work at the Malden Hospital and the former New England Memorial Hospital in Stoneham for years. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post # 639 Malden, MA and was a communicant of Sacred Hearts Church in Malden, MA Norm and his wife Irene have been married for 61 years.
He is survived by his wife Irene (Carroll) of Malden, two sons, Norman E. Ahearn Jr. of Shreveport, LA, John M. Ahearn of Salem, MA, one daughter, Carol M. DeMattia of Malden and two sisters, Irlene Ahearn of Dorchester and Marion Therrien of Freetown, MA.
He was born September 17, 1915 in Reading, MA and was educated in the Medford School system.He served in the U.S. Army duringWorld War II having attained the rank of S/Sgt. He enlisted on June 7, 1945 at Ft. Devens, MA and was discharged on July 7, 1946 at Ft. Dix, NJ.

Louise Clerveaux Alcindor
Louise Clerveaux Alcindor, 80, a housewife and mother, passed way Saturday, January 07, 2006 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, Massachusetts. Mrs. Alcindor was born and raised in Haiti. After her husbands passing, she worked hard to help her children moved to the United States. She the moved here herself 10 years ago, settleing in the Stoughton area.
He is survived by her children, Odenes O. Alcindor of Billerica, Anne M. A. Pierre of Stoughton, MA, Delano Alcindor of Saugus, Homer Alcindor of Brockton, Eumonise Alcindor of Stoughton, Damien Alcindor of Medford, Kerlange A. Cherri of Stoughton, Polynette A. Guston of Stoughton, her brother Clerveaux Petitfrere of Haiti, 21 Grandchildren, and 1 greatgrandchild.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Germain Alcindor.

Stephen Joseph Allegra
Stephen Joseph Allegra, 48, died suddenly on May 6th at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett, MA. He was born December 7, 1956 in Everett, the son of Joseph Allegra and Loretta Cutillo. Stephen graduated from Malden High School with class of 1973. After high school, he began his career as an automotive mechanic, working most recently for J & A Auto Works of Malden. Stephen was passionate about cars, especially model cars. He was a member of the MASCAR Model Club of Boston. Over the years, he won many awards for the model car replicas he created. For the past ten years, he ran the model car exhibition at the World of Wheels show that is held annually at the Bayside Expo Center. Stephen was also currently restoring a 1970 Dodge Dart. He loved watching NASCAR, Drag Racing and Professional Wrestling.
He is survived by his wife Terri L. (Knox) of Malden, MA, his children, Stephen J. and his wife Jennifer of FL, James of Saugus, and Michelle and her fiancé Chuck of Malden, his father, Joseph Allegra of CA and his mother, Loretta Cutillo of FL and his grandchildren, Tyler Allegra and Callie Bryant of WA.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. MALDEN on Wednesday, May 11th from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 12th at 10 AM. Fr. Vincent Gianni will be officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

Daniel Joseph Alpers
Daniel Joseph Alpers, 45, a Teamster and truck driver for Boston Sand & Gravel, where he worked for the past year, died Friday, May 03, 2002 at his home in Malden. Daniel was born in Somerville, and raised in Malden. He graduated from Malden High School with the Class of 1974. After High School, he went to work for Minute Man Oxygen driving trucks. He worked there for several years, before taking employment with Belmont Springs, where he worked for over 12 years. He had just begun working for Boston Sand and Gravel, and had been there for about a year. Daniel was a long time dedicated member of the Teamsters Local 379.
In 1983, Daniel and his wife Marsha N. (Dana) were married at the Christ United Methodist Church in Malden, and the two shared the nearly 20 years together.Daniel was an avid collector of baseball cards, and enjoyed maintaining and relaxing in his pool.
He is survived by his wife Marsha N. (Dana) of Malden, his mother Joan M. (McGrath) Alpers of Medford, his son Daniel J. Alpers of Malden, his step-daughter Kim L. DiMaro of Malden, his stepson T.J. DiGiantommaso of Malden, his brother Stephen G and his wife Darleen L. Alpers of Milford. He is also survived by nephew Shawn and Niece Mellisa Alpers, and was the beloved "Bumpie" to his grandchildren Ryan, T.J., Krystina, Zachery and Kylie.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home on Monday from 4 - 8 PM, at the Weir MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden.

Claire B. “Peachy” Amirault
Claire “Peachy” (Walsh) Amirault, 67, died Sunday, March 23, 2003 at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.Peachy was born in Everett and educated in Malden schools. When she completed high school she went to work for the Mass Electric Co. on Pleasant Street in Malden as a secretary and was employed there for over thirty years until her retirement in 2001. She was a devoted mother to her children and was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Malden. Mrs. Amirault was a lifelong resident of Malden, Massachusetts.
She is survived by her son, Michael A. Amirault and his fiancé Marisa Giuffre of Revere, her son, John A. Amirault, Jr. and his fiancé Patricia Bailey of Tewksbury, her daughter, Christine C. and her husband Thomas Tempesta of Methuen her sister, Sister Alice Walsh, Sister of Providence, FL. and the late Ruth Parks, Thomas Walsh, Theresa Shanahan, Jean Landry, Eileen Smith and Doris Hatch. She was the proud grandmother of John J., Nicholas A. & Jordan A. Amirault and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband John A. Amirault, Sr. of Malden, her sister Ruth Parks, her brother Thomas Walsh, her sister Theresa Shanahan, her sister Jean Landry, her sister Eileen Smith, and her sister Doris Hatch.
She was born April 29, 1935 in Everett, Massachusetts the daughter of the late Thomas and Julia (Jordan) Walsh.

John Alfred Amirault Sr.
John Alfred Amirault, 69, a retired sergeant for the Malden Police Department, died Saturday, November 24, 2001 at his home in Malden, MA. John was born and educated in Malden and graduated Malden High School with The Class of "49". He then enlisted in the United States Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. In 1953 when he was discharged he received his reserve appointment to the Malden Police Department as a Patrolman and in 1955 received his appointment as a regular patrolman. He served on the Malden Police Force for twenty-five years and when he retired in 1978 he had attained the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of Sacred Hearts Parish in Malden and was a former member of the Everett Knights of Columbus. Mr. Amirault was a lifelong resident of Malden, MA.
He is survived by his wife Peachy B. (Walsh) Amirault of Malden, his sons Michael A. Amirault of Revere and John A. Jr. Amirault of Tewksbury, his daughter, Christine C. Tempesta of Methuen, his brother, Patrick A. Amirault of ME, his sister, Harriett Welch of TX, brother Richard Amirault of Woburn and his grandchildren John J., Nicholas A. and Jordan A. Amirault.
He was born October 19, 1932 in Malden, Massachusetts the son of the late Enos and Margaret (Muise) Amirault.

Elinor L. (Livingstone) Ammidown
Elinor L. (Livingstone) Ammidown, died Monday, March 20, 2006 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital after a long illness, she was 85. Born on January 11, 1921 in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Neil S. & Etta (Levy) Livingstone. She attended the Malden schools and later took employment with different retail stores in Malden. She married her sweetheart Albert Ammidown in 1945 while he was home from leave during the war.
The couple raised their two children and would spend over forty-two years together until Albert's passing in May of 1987. Elinor later worked for Sparks Department store and became the store manager working for thirty years in the industry before retiring in the 1980's. She was a former member of the Faulkner Methodist Church in Malden and later with the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Malden. She was a very active member and was always involved with all aspects of the church. Elinor had a fond love for cooking and baking. The family holidays were always held at her house with Elinor preparing 100% of the food.
She is survived by her daughter Jacquelyn M. Bernson, her son, Richard P. Ammidown and wife Diane of Colorado, her grandchildren, Nancy Guest, of Georgia, Lois McAllister, of Virginia, H. Scott Bernson, of Peabody, Terri Ghannan, of Stoneham, Jon Bernson, of California, Albert Ammidown, of Colorado, Darla Gilgun, of Tewksbury, Eric Ammidown, of Colorado and twelve great-grandchildren, and one great- great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Ammidown, her father, Neil Livingstone, her mother Etta Levy, her brother, Donald Livingstone and her son-in-law Harold Bernson.
Elinor's funeral service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. in the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 577 Salem St., Malden. The Rev. Ruth R. Oduor will be officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday March 23rd. from 4-8 PM in the Weir-Mac Cuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden.

Michael Andrew Anaskevich
Michael Andrew Anaskevich, 49, a computer operator for State of Massachusettes, where he worked for many years, died Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett, Massachusetts. Mr. Anaskevich lived in Malden, Massachusetts for 9 years and was previously from Cambridge .
He is survived by his brother, John C Anaskevich, his sister Jane R. Silva of Brockton, MA, brother William C Anaskevich and his companion, Wayne A. Paxton of Malden.
He was born April 21, 1951 in Cambridge, Massachusetts the son of Joseph and Helen (Buguz) Anaskevich.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 25, 2001 at 8:00 P.M. at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home. Pastor Harvey Smith will be officiating. Cremation will be in the Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge.

Robert Warren Anderson
Robert Warren Anderson, 44, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 at the Union Hospital in Lynn, Mass.
Robert was born in Danbury, Conn., on Jan. 8, 1958, and came to Malden, Mass., at an early age with his family. He attended Malden public schools and graduated Malden High School with the Class of 1977. When he completed high school he went to work at the Chelsea Soldiers' Home as a chef and had been employed there for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen R. (Hemming) Anderson of Lynn; his mother, Barbara A. (Kelley) Anderson of Malden; his step-daughter, Shasta Roberts of Malden; his sisters, Lillian Sears of Maine, Judith Randall of Lynnfield, and Karen Anderson of Malden; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert W. Anderson of Danbury.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Monday from 7-9 PM

Jennie Ursulina Anderson
Jennie Ursulina Anderson, 85,died Sunday, October 14, 2001 at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. Jennie was born and educated in Westfield, MA and after graduating high school enrolled in the Boston City Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated first in her class in 1937. She moved to Malden after her marriage, raised her family and went to work at the Malden Hospital as a registered nurse in the maternity unit. When she retired in 1975 she was the Head Nurse of the Obstetrics & Gynecology Dept. of the hospital where most people new her as "Andy". Her commitment to the Hospital continued after her retirement where she worked as a volunteer for The Gift Shop at the hospital for many years. Mrs. Anderson lived in Malden, Massachusetts for over fifty-five years and was previously from Westfield.
She is survived by her daughters, Judith M. Atkinson of TX, Karen A. Landry of Hingham and Faye C. Anderson of Quincy, her grandchildren Emily A. Ward, Crossland Atkinson and Matthew Landry
She was preceded in death by her husband William R. Anderson and her sister Mary De Lisle.
She was born November 11, 1915 in Westfield, Massachusetts the daughter of the late John and Carolyn (Danek) Bertolino.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM & Sat 10 - 11AM

Ronald Bruce Anderson
AKA “Malden Ron"
Ronald B. Anderson, 69, of Malden, died Monday, October 24, 2005 at the Corey Hill Nursing Home in Brighton, MA. He was the son of the late Cornelius and Arlene Anderson. Ron was born in Malden and was a life long resident for the last sixty-nine years. He was a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1953. After high school he started working for the City of Malden Department of Public Works and later became a foreman, working for forty-one years, until he retired in 2002.
“Malden Ron” as he was known to many New York Football Giants fans in New England, founded the New York Giants Fan Club in the early 80’s . He supported the team through good times and bad, traveling to New Jersey to see his beloved team win or lose.
Ron is survived by his wife, Nancy J. Anderson his daughter Leah L. Procito of Saugus, his step-daughters, Lynne J. Sport of Laurel, MD, Laura L. Sport of Seattle, WA, and Lisa J. Sport of Malden and his cherished granddaughter Isabella Marie Procito and his sister Glen Burke of Brookline. He will be missed by his family and his friends.
Visitation will be held at the Weir ~MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Thursday, October 27th. from 11-12 noon. A service of reflection of Ron’s life will take place immediately following the calling hour at noon.

Ruth Cora Andrews
Ruth Cora Andrews, 83, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at Resident Care Rehabilitation Center in Framingham, Massachusetts. She was born May 16, 1918 in Melrose, Massachusetts the daughter of Bela and Cora (MacDonald) Andrews. Ms. Andrews lived in Framingham, Massachusetts for the past 12 Years and had previously lived in Malden for most of her life.
She is survived by her friend, Rita Wahl, of New Hampshire.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bela and Cora (MacDonald) Andrews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 15, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home. Rev. John C. Blair of Centre United Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.

John Caesar Anthony
John Caesar Anthony, 81, died after a brief illness Monday, October 14, 2002 at the Winchester Hospital in Winchester, MA. John was born and educated in Malden and after completing school he went to work for Rowe Contracting Co. in Revere until WW II broke out. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in Italy with the 351st Cannon Co., 88th Infantry, Fifth Army also known as The Blue Devils. When he was discharged in 1945 he returned to Malden and the Rowe's Construction Co. where he was employed for forty-six years as a Master Mechanic until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Malden, the Italian American Club of Malden and New England Teamsters & Trucking Local # 379. Mr. Anthony was a life long resident of Malden, Massachusetts.
He is survived by his daughter, Leah C. Connell of Billerica, his son, John F. Anthony of Stoneham, his son, Leo Anthony of Billerica, his daughter, Roberta Giannetti of Revere, his daughter, Lisa Anthony of NH, his sisters; Eleanor Catalano of Newton, Catherine Roberto of Medford, Dorothy Jordan of Malden, Jean Anthony of Medford and nine grandchildren..
He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta, J. (Moore) Anthony.
He was born July 3, 1921 in Malden, MA. the son of the late Leo and Anna (Barufaldi) Anthony. He served in the Army during World War II having attained the rank of Pfc.. enlisting on July 15, 1942 at Boston, MA discharged on May 10, 1945 at Camp Edwards, MA

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 17, 2002 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden with the Rev. William J. Minigan, Pastor of St. Joseph's Church officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.

Helen A. (Thompson) Atwater
Helen A. (Thompson) Atwater died Monday, May 15, 2006 at her home in Malden, she was 86. Born in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada on April 20, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Blanche (Hewey) Thompson. Helen moved to the United States from Canada when she was 16. She was educated between both schools in Boston and in Canada until she graduated high school. She met her husband, Joseph B. Atwater at Rock Hill Baptist Church in Jamaica Plain, MA and the two were married on April 25, 1942 in Melrose. They spent almost 43 years in marriage together until Joseph's passing on January 8, 1985. Helen spent many years caretaking for the elderly but her real job was raising and caring for her family. Mrs. Atwater was a resident of Malden for over 70 years.
She is survived by her children, David B. Atwater and his wife, Jeanne of West Lake Village, CA, John C. Atwater of Ventura, CA, Ruth H. Collins of Malden, and Michael N. Atwater of Salem, NH, her siblings, Aubrey Thompson of Canada and Nellie Nilsen of Portland, ME, twelve grandchildren, one great-grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Violet Crouse and Flora Thompson.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden on Thursday, May 18, 2006 from 4-8 PM.
A funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 493 Main St. Malden on Friday, May 19, 2006 at 10 AM. Rev. Martha A. Dominy of the First Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Joseph Augustin
Joseph Augustin, 70, an independent mechanic, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. Joseph was born and raised in Haiti. He completed high school there and went on to trade school to be a carpenter. He worked as a carpenter in Haiti for about 20 years, before changing fields and becoming a mechanic. He came to the US and continued his profession as a mechanic, working independently in the Malden area. He was a long time member of the Open Door Tabernacle Church in Malden.
He is survived by his wife Aglayer, his daughter Veronique Augustin of Brocton, his son L. Jack Augustin of Malden, his daughters Mary Albert-Augustin of Brocton, Elsye Luc of Malden, Josette Augustin of Malden, Kettly Augustin of Canada, and his sisters Jennette Valcourt of Haiti, Maryse Valcourt of Haiti.
He was preceded in death by his father Lozamar Augustin, and his mother Lenora Laurent.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home on Friday from 7-9 PM
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home. Rev. Edmond Raphino of Open Door Tabernacle will be officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.

Dorothy "Dot" Austin
Dorothy "Dot" Austin, 92, died Sunday, February 8, 2004 at the Haven Health Care Center in Chelsea, MA Dot was born in Peabody along with her twin sister Doris, she was educated in the Malden school system. In her early years, Dot lived in Malden along with her sister, were they both lived on Bowdoin St. for many years. As years went on Dot became Doris' caregiver, taking care of her daily needs, until Doris passed away in February of 1982. Dot later moved to the Suffolk Manor were she enjoyed playing bingo with her many friends. She also loved to watch a good Red Sox game. Dot was best known and loved by all her family and friends for all the gifts and cards that she sent on birthdays and holidays, she never forgot anyone and her family truly loved her for those fond memories of her kindness. Dot attended St. Paul's Episcopal Parish in Malden, when her health allowed her.
She is survived by her many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her twin sister Doris Austin, her brother Warren Austin, her brother Raymond Austin, her sister Marjorie Mooreside, her brother Ed Austin, and her sister Ruth Johnson, her sister Grace Vining.
She was born July 19, 1911 in Peabody, MA the daughter of the late Christopher E. and Mary E. (Sutherland) Austin.
Visitation will be held at Weir- MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Wednesday from 9- 11 AM.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Paul's Episcopal Parish, 26 Washington St., Malden on Wed. Feb. 11th. at 11AM. The Rev. J.C. Woods will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Salem.

Hazel Mae Awad
Hazel Mae Awad, 101, a housewife and mother, died Friday, October 25, 2002 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. Hazel was born and raised in Malden. She was a very creative amateur writer and poet. She was also a skilled dressmaker, and did a lot of sewing for both her family and her church. She was an avid gardener, and also a member of a book club whom with she was able to share her large collection of books. Mrs. Awad lived in Malden, Massachusetts for over 84 yrs and was previously from ME, 7 years.
She was the devoted mother of Clyde M. Awad of CA, Diane P. Malcolm of Dedham, Jill L. Amico of Wakefield, and the late June Plummer, formerly of ME. Mother in law of Rev. Robert Plummer of ME. She was also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Moses, her parents, George and Lulu (Richardson) Clough, her daughter June Plummer, her brother, Erwin M. Clough, and her sisters Gladys Rowe and Bertram Clough.
Funeral Services will be held at the Weir - MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Monday, October 28th, at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Robert Plummer officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 7 - 9 PM.
