Vincent C. “Jim” Cacchiotti
Vincent C. “Jim” Cacchiotti, 76, a retired draftsman for General Electric Co., died Saturday, December 7, 2002 at the Salem Hospital in Salem, MA. Jim was born and educated in East Boston attending Boston Trade High School. When W.W. II broke out he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp at the age of seventeen in December of 1943. He served with the 43rd Bombardment Group/63rd Bombardment Squadron as an aerial gunner. He saw service in the Asiatic Pacific Theater, Philippines, Air Offensive of Japan, China and Luzon. When he was discharged in 1946 he returned to Boston and attended Wentworth Institute where he received his Associates Degree. He then went to work for the General Electric Co of Lynn in the Jet Engine Division as a draftsman. When he retired in 1988 after thirty- eight years with General Electric he was a senior tool designer.
He resided in East Boston for six years after his discharge and moved to Melrose after his marriage where he resided for ten years before moving to Saugus twenty -two years ago.
He attended St. Mary's Church in Melrose and became active with the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers, serving as President of the Local #142 Drafting Union in Lynn for five years. He then became Vice President of the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers, based in Washington, DC for fourteen years until his retirement in 1988.
He is survived by his daughter Anne C. and her husband Thomas Mc Ghie of Reading, his son V. James and his wife Collen Cacchiotti of Melrose, his son Roger J. Cacchiotti of NY, his daughter Doreen A. Cacchiotti of Melrose, his brother Costanzo Cacchiotti of East Boston, his sisters, Ann Felzani and Rita Sorrento of Revere, his grandchildren, Marc and Christina Mc Ghie ,and Nicole Cacchiotti and his dear friend Patricia A. Dennis of Andover.
He was born April 12, 1926 in East Boston, Massachusetts the son of the late Frank and Antoinetta (Cardinale) Cacchiotti.

Violet “Vi” Campbell
Violet (Wright) Campbell, 79, died Sunday, January 23, 2005 at the Winchester Hospital in Winchester, MA. Violet was born and educated in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She married her husband, John Campbell, Jr. and her first two children were born before she immigrated to the United States with her family in 1951. They resided in the Back Bay and Jamaica Plain before settling in Malden in 1956. She was a member of The First Church in Malden, Congregational and was an avid bingo player at the Irish American Club in Malden for over thirty years. She was a devoted mother to her children and cherished all of the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Campbell lived in Malden, Massachusetts for fifty years.
She is survived by son, John Campbell III of Monument Beach, her daughter, Florence Nicholson of Malden, her son, Robert Campbell of Saugus, her daughter, Diane Morganti of Melrose, her sisters; May Relph of Malden, and Charlotte Mulholland of Medford, her brother, Samuel Wright of Mansfield seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. .
She was preceded in death by her husband John Campbell, Jr. of Malden and her brother, James Wright of Ireland.
She was born May 3, 1925 in Belfast, Northern Ireland the daughter of the late Samuel and Letitia (Ferguson) Wright.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, MA on Wednesday, Jan. 26th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Grace Cantone
Grace (Ruggiero) Cantone, lifelong resident of Malden, passed away Sunday, April 18th at the Lifecare Center of Stoneham. She was born 1914 in East Boston, the daughter of Angelo and Lucia (Mustone) Ruggiero., and then raised and educated in Malden. Grace was a life long communicant of St.Joseph's Church. She was also a member of the sewing club of Malden and the Malden Senior Center. Grace traveled with her husband Joseph, between her retirement home in Flordia and Malden and was a avid seamstress.
She is survived by her son John Cantone of Malden, he daughters Camille DiLorenzo of Peabody, Joan Eori of Billerica, and Grace Goffredo of Peabody,her sisters Phyllis Pincaro of Stoneham, Louise Smithell of Malden, her brother Anthony Ruggerio of Malden, 12 grandchildren , and 14 great - grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her parents, Angelo and Lucia (Mustone) Ruggiero, her brothers Alexander and Dominic Ruggerio, and her sisters Rose DiMinico, Elizabeth Santangelo, and Josephine Guiliano.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden on Tuesday from 4 - 9 PM.

Susan Jeanette Capone
Susan Jeanette Capone, 86, died Thursday, October 14, 2004 at the Wingate at Reading in Reading, MA. Susan was born and educated in Malden graduating Malden High School with The Class of 1936. Prior to her marriage she was employed at Lewis Candy and Converse Rubber Co. of Malden. She was a member of Sacred Hearts Parish in Malden, Friends of the Malden Public Library and the Medford Moose Auxiliary. She and her husband Vito were very devoted to St. Peter's Church in Malden and she was an avid reader and active bowler with the Medford Moose Bowling League. Mrs. Capone was a lifelong resident of Malden, MA. .
She is survived by her daughter Sue Finn of Andover, her sister; Annette Busook of Malden, and Marge Whitehouse of Malden and her brother, Joseph Cuscuna of Everett. She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vito E. Capone and her son Ralph Capone formerly of Malden.
She was born March 18, 1918 in Malden, MA. the daughter of the late Salvatore and Olympia (Cinicola) Cuscuna.

Audrey Lillian Cappelluzzi
Audrey L. (Weeks) Cappelluzzi, 72, died Thursday morning, June 19, 2003 at her home in Melrose after a long illness.Audrey was born and raised in Boston, later moving to Malden with her family when she was eight years old. She had been a resident of Malden for the last sixty-three years and for the last year and half she had lived in Melrose. Audrey was a nurse’s aid for many years and later one of the switchboard operators for the former Malden Hospital. She started in 1978 and worked until the closing of the hospital. She was a bowler at the Granada Lane’s Thursday morning Ladies Bowling League. Audrey was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Boston Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics. She loved to do all sorts of crafts, including needlework, knitting and crocheting. She was a cherished grandmother to her two grandchildren.
Audrey is survived by her husband, Lawrence V. Cappelluzzi of Malden, her son Scott V. and his wife, Janice (Tenerowicz) Cappelluzzi of Revere, her brother Stephen Weeks of FL and her cherished grandchildren Anthony and Bianca Cappelluzzi of Revere.
She was preceded in death by her father Charles W. Weeks, her mother Constance Pike, her son Jack K, Greene, and her brother Charles J. Weeks.
She was born December 28, 1930 in Boston, MA the daughter of late Charles and Constance (Pike) Weeks.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Sunday from 4-8 PM.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 23, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Rev. James Cox of Centre United Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will be in Forest Dale Cemetery at a later date.

John William Carbone
John William Carbone, 47, died Monday, August 19, 2002 at his home in Malden, after a long illness. Mr. Carbone had lived in Malden, for 25 Years and was previously from Cambridge & Somerville.
John was a policeman for the City of Malden, where he worked for 25 years. John, was a man from humble beginnings. Born in Cambridge and the 11th of 12 children.
He attended Ringe Latin and in 1973 moved on to Northeast Vocational in Wakefield, to pursue a career as an electrician. Upon graduation John enlisted in the Marine Corps. After honorably serving his country, John joined the ranks of the Malden Police Department in 1976. John was an active member of the Patrolman's union and a President of same. He attained the rank of Sergeant in 1991. Meanwhile John was also going to school nights at Suffolk University on the way to receiving his Bachelors degree. Consistent with John’s drive to excel and serve within the legal system, he enrolled in Mass. Law School. At this time he was prosecuting traffic cases in the Malden District court. He also served as a union representative for the senior officers. As a night student he did well, graduated in 1996 and passed the bar in June of 1997.He dedicated himself to doing immigration law. John volunteered his time to help with immigration issues at Tri-Cap Malden. John’s goal was to serve on the bench. He was on track though colon cancer derailed him.
John is survived by his wife Janet M. (Taverna) Carbone of Malden. He was the father of Kathryn M. and Andrew J. Carbone both of Malden. Cherished son of Mary E. (Belcher) Carbone of Peabody. Loving brother of James T. of TN, Robert J. of Wakefield, Ronald E. of Newton, Kenneth P. of Methuen, Ann E. Guerra of CA, Mary E. Hogan of Arlington, Frances A. Medieros of Waltham, Donald E. of Peabody, Janice L. of Cambridge, Margaret L. of Waltham and the late Richard F. Carbone, formerly of Cambridge. Son in-law ofJoseph A. and Florence R. (Egan) Taverna of Somerville.
He was preceded in death by his father James T. Carbone, and his brother Richard Carbone.
He was born September 8, 1954 in Cambridge, MA the son of James and Mary (Belcher) Carbone. He served in the U.S. Marines Corp during 1973 - 1975.

June Florence Cardone
June Florence Cardone, 66, of Florida, formerly of Malden, died Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at Kindred Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. She was born July 12, 1937 in Everett, , the daughter of George and Kay (Clark) Martin, and then raised in Chelsea. In 1955, after attending Chelsea High School, she married her sweetheart Anthony W. Cardone, and the two would share the next 48 years together.June was a skilled seamstress, and enjoyed making clothing as well as dolls and doll clothing. She enjoyed spending her Saturday nights dancing at the Moose Lodge. Her friends wer always very important to her, but her greatest joy were her grandchildren, especially her only granddaughter.June was a past member of the Moose Lodge 919 of Hollywood, FL.
She is survived by her husband Anthony of Hallandale Beach, FL, ,her daughter Patricia A. and her husband David W. Wood of Malden, her grandchildren David A. Wood, Michael R. Wood, and Toni J. Wood, her brother William Martin of Saugus, and her sister Edna Vallis of NJ.
She was preceded in death by her son AnthonyE. Cardone.

Lillian Carideo
Lillian Carideo, 97, alongtime resident of Malden, died Sunday, June 12, 2005 at her home. Lillian was born in 1908 as Concetta Cinicolo, the daughter of Francisco and Assunta Cinicolo, in Benevento, Italy. She was the youngest of 6 children. At the age of 3, she moved to the US with her family and settled in Malden. As she grew up, she attended the Leonard Moss School.She married her sweetheart, Frederick J. Carideo, and the two shared many years together raising their family until Fred’s passing in 1965. Lillian was a long time communicant of St. Peters Parish in Malden, and after its closing, attended St. Josephs Church in Malden.
She is survived by her sons, Richard F. Carideo of Malden, and Anthony J. Carideo of Las Vegas. NV, her granddaughter Julie A. Carideo of Los Angeles, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick J., her parents, Francisco and Assunta Cinicolo, and her five brothers and sisters.

Vera E. Carlberg
Vera E. (Lindell) Carlberg, 91, died Saturday, January 18, 2003 at the Epoch Senior Care Center in Melrose, Massachusetts. Vera was born in East Boston and educated in Melrose Schools and after her marriage settled in Malden where she has resided for over sixty years. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Melrose.
She is survived by her sons; Paul D. Carlberg of Melrose, David J. Carlberg of W. Peabody, Robert L. Carlberg of Melrose, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl A. Carlberg and her sister Alice Foote of NH..
She was born February 9, 1911 in East Boston, MA the daughter of the late Carl A. and Ellen T. (Nordstrom) Lindell

Edith Otilia Maria Carls
Edith O. M. Carlson, one of Malden’s oldest citizens, died Thursday August 16th. at the Rosewood Nursing Center in Peabody, after a brief illness. Edith was 105.
Mrs. Carlson was born in Kalmar, Sweden, and came to the United States in 1920 and first moved to Malden in 1931. During World War II, she worked at the National Radio plant in Malden, and later for the First National Bank of Boston. For many years she ran a boarding house in Malden Square that served as the first American home for a succession of Scandinavian immigrants.
Mrs. Carlson became one of the original residents of the Heritage Apartments on Pleasant Street in Malden when the senior complex first opened in 1973. For many years she was a member of several organizations at the Heritage, including the Women’s Club, the Sunday night choral group, and the Heritage’s Annual Fair.
She leaves a daughter, Edna C. Beaton of Melrose, two grandsons, Eric R. Beaton of Melrose, and Douglas J. Beaton of Salem, N.H., and three great-grandchildren, Melanie, Kimberly and Nicole Beaton. Also survived by several nieces and nephews in Stockholm, Sweden. Dear friend of Richard Terhune.

Dorothy Edna Carusone
Dorothy E. Carusone, 76, died Thursday, January 18th. at the Court Yard Nursing Care Center, Medford, MA
Mrs. Carusone was a retired accountant for the Malden Hospital, where she had worked for 19 years. She retired from the accounting department at the hospital in 1989. Mrs. Carusone had lived in Medford, MA for the last 18 years, and was previously from Malden were she had resided for 58 years. Mrs. Carusone was educated in the Sacred Hearts School system and graduated from the Cheverus High School, in Malden.
She is survived by her husband John A. Carusone of Medford, her two daughters Gail M. Carusone of Malden and JaniceM. Carusone of Newton, her grandson LorenJ. Carusone-Wein of Newton. She was the aunt of Charles Sarno & Francine Byrne of Alameda, CA, Lynn & Donald Stead of Stoneham. Great Aunt ofKristin Stead of NY & Nicholas Stead of Stoneham.
She was born June 2, 1924 in Malden, MA the daughter of late Charles and Anna (LaValle) Seifert.
She was the sister of the late Anna Sarno formerly of Malden.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home on Sunday January 21st. from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.

John Anthony Carusone
John A. Carusone, 82, died suddenly, Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at his home in Medford, MA. John was born and educated in East Boston and after his schooling he worked for the Charlestown Navy Yard for two and a half years as a drop hammer operator, before he was inducted into the US Army.
After the war he worked for the Boston Navel Ship Yard for twenty-five years as a drop forger, retiring in 1971. John was a parishioner at Sacred Hearts Church in Malden and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose of Malden and a former member of the French Club in Everett. John loved playing cards, reading and doing crossword puzzles. He loved spending time with his grandson Loren. John’s daughters always remember their father to be a hard worker and always having two jobs. One of his jobs was helping his sister at the arcade, at Salem Willows and working at the bowling alley on Broadway, in Malden. John had lived in Medford for the last twenty-one years and was formerly from Malden for fifty-eight years.
He is survived by his daughter Janice M. Carusone of Newton and her partner Carol Wein, his daughter, Gail M. Carusone of Malden, his grandson Loren Carusone-Wein of Newton, his sister Josephine Marsala of CA, and his niece Lynn Stead of Stoneham and her husband Donald Stead.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy E. (Seiert) Carusone, his father Giovanni Carusone, his mother Josephine (Arena) Carusone, his brother’s Edward DeVingo and George Carusone, his sister’s Emma Carusone, Grace Rizzo, Lillian Searle, Antoninette Carusone, and Mary Mambucca.
He was born December 17, 1921 in Boston, MA the son of the late Giovanni and Josephine (Arena) Carusone.
He served in the US Army during World War II having attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He enlisted on November 26, 1943 at Boston, MA and was discharged on February 18, 1946 at Ft. Devens, MA He served as a carpenter and heavy construction worker, building shipping docks and bridges for the war effect.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. ,Malden on Thursday, from 4-8 PM.

Christina Emelia Casey
Christina Emelia Casey, 90, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MAChristina was a retired office worker for the Jordan Marsh Dept. Store in Quincy, where she worked in the accounts receivable department for 35 years and retired in 1974. Christina was born in Kaiserslaughten, Germany and came to the United States at an early age. Christina had been a resident of Everett for over thirty-two years and had lived in Malden for the last five years. Christina was a active member of the Malden Chapter # 1505 of the Women of Moose Club.
She is survived by her son Edward J, Casey of Malden, her sister Catherine Van Gemert of FL and her grandchildren Jack Casey, Mark Casey, Linda Casey, Kevin Casey, Karen Casey, Jimmy Casey, Pat Casey, Debbie Casey, Eddie Casey and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Casey, her father August Becker and her mother Ann (Christianmann) Casey, her sons James E. Casey formerly of Everett & Westfield and John Casey formerly of Braintree and her sister Beatrice Bradley formerly of Bedford..

Edward Joseph Casey
Edward Joseph Casey, 83, a retired police officer for City of Malden, where he worked for 33 years, died Saturday, July 21, at The Melrose Nursing and Rehab Center in Melrose. Edward was born in St. Johns, New Brunswick, Canada, and came to the US at an early age, moving to the Chelsea area. He graduated from the Immaculate School in Chelsea in 1936.
In 1940 Edward married his wife Teresa (Cipriano), with whom he shared the next 61 years. Around that time he moved to Malden and became a Police Officer. During his 33 years as a police officer he received many commendations.His seniority eventually earned him badge #2, which he carried for many years.
He was a coach for Malden Little League Baseball, coaching the Senators for many years. He was also an avid sportsmen, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as golf.
Edward was a long time member of St. Josephs Church. He was also a Member of the Malden Moose, and a past member of the East Side Athletic Association.
He is survived by his wife Teresa, sons Daniel R. Casey of Melrose, and Robert E. Casey of Wilmington: Sisters, Rita Bognore of ME , Theresa Lavender of Malden, Katherin Casey of AZ, Lorretta Nuzzo of AZ ; and brothers Robert L. Casey and wife Helen of FL, and Gilbert Casey and wife Evelyn of AZ; and sister in law Elaine Casey of AZ. He was also survived by grandchildren Ann Marie Casey of Malden, Mary Ellen Casey, Allison Casey, and Joseph Templeton of Lowell, Monica Casey and Heather Casey of Melrose.
He was preceded in death by his son Edward G. Casey formerly of Malden, his parents Simon and Mary Jane (Bernard) Caissie, formerly of Chelsea, and his brother Henry Casey, formely of AZ.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Church. Rev. John A. Daley, Pastor of St. Joseph's Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.

Joseph Harold Cassone Jr.
Joseph Harold Cassone Jr., 93, a retired purchasing agent, died Wednesday, February 13, 2002 at the Victorian Heights Residence Home in Manchester, CTMr. Cassonehad been a longtime resident of Malden for the last 50 years. He was educated in Allentown, PA and Mulenburg College.
He worked for the former Jackson & Moreland Engineering Co of Boston for 30 years and retired in 1975. He was a member of the Malden Elks and the First Baptist Church in Malden.
He is survived by his son, Joseph H. Cassone III and his wife Judith of Winthrop, MA His daughter Linda Berry and her husband Joseph Sr. of Ellington, CT Cherished grandfather of Amanda Marquis and her husband Joseph of Gilmanton, NH, Christopher Berry of Stafford Springs, CT andJoseph Berry Jr. and his wife Robin of Hopkinton, MA and his longtime companion Mary Aliberte of Malden.
He was preceded in death by his wife Arline, his father, Joseph Cassone Sr., and his mother Leontine Martin.
He was born January 31, 1909 in Allentown, Pennsylvania the son of the late Joseph and Leontine (Martin) Cassone Sr.
Visitation will be held at Weir -MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden, on Friday from 9AM-11AM.

Verna Mary Ceranna
Verna Mary (Ricci) Ceranna, 89, died Saturday, July 12, 2003 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA.Verna was born and educated in Everett and moved to Malden as a teenager. When she completed high school she went to school to become a hairdresser and was employed at several beauty salons in the Malden and Everett area retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church of Malden. Mrs. Ceranna was a resident of Malden, MA for over seventy years and was previously from Everett.
She is survived by her son, Victor D. Ceranna of Malden, daughter in-law Linda A. Ceranna of Malden, her sister , Beatrice F. Farnham of Malden, her brother Arthur Riccci of West Yarmouth, her grandchildren Scott, Debra, Craig and Nicole Ceranna her great-grandchildren Zachary and Brianna and her niece Toni Reyes of Malden.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred V. Ceranna , her daughter Cynthia Ceranna, her brother Frederick Ricci, and her brother Alpine Ricci.
She was born June 09, 1914 in Everett, MA. the daughter of the late Domenico and Giacomina (De Bartholomew) Ricci.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Victor Dominic Ceranna
Victor Dominic Ceranna, 61, a Senior Sergeant for the Malden Police Department, died suddenly on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA. Vic was born in Revere, MA on October 28, 1943, the son of the late Alfred V. and Verna M. (Ricci) Ceranna. He graduated from Malden High School with the Class of 1960. Vic attended the Medford Police Academy and graduated in 1968. Shortly after, he joined the Malden Police Department as a patrolman. In 1983, Vic was appointed to Sergeant and was most recently the Senior Sergeant within the department. He belonged to the Superior Officers Union #114 in Malden. Vic loved riding his Harley- Davidson motorcycle around town.
He is survived by his wife, Linda A. DeMartino-Ceranna of Malden, his children, Scott Ceranna of FL, Debra Ceranna of Marlborough, MA, Craig Ceranna of MO, Nicole Ceranna of IL, his step-children, John and Mike DeMartino of Malden, and his grandchildren, Zachary and Brianna Alden of Marlborough and Silvio DeMartino of Malden.
Funeral from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home 144 Salem St. Malden on Saturday, May 28th at 8:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem St. Malden at 9:45 AM. Mary Elizabeth Cersosimo
Mary Elizabeth Cersosimo, 83, a retired machine operator died, suddenly, Wednesday, May 16, 2001 at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, MA. Mary was born in Medford and educated in Malden Schools. When she completed school she went to work as a waitress for Chickland Restaurant of Saugus for several years before going to work for Transitron of Wakefield and Melrose as a machine operator for 21 years retiring in 1979. She was a resident of Malden for over 65 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Julia E. Trickett of Byfield, her sons, Joseph V. Cersosimo of HI, Richard M. Cersosimo, of CA and Robert J. Cersosimo of VA, her sisters, Gertrude E. Overlan of Malden, and Margaret A. Smith of CA. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and seventeen great –grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent R. Cersosimo and her sister Sarah A. Donnelly of Malden.
She was born July 22, 1917 in Medford, MA the daughter of the late Miles S. and Kathleen (Watts) Wilder.
Visitation will be held at Weir Mac Cuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, MA on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Frank William Chapman
Frank W. Chapman, 61, died suddenly Monday morning, November 18, 2002 at his home in Stoneham, MA Mr. Chapman had lived in Stoneham for the last fifteen years and was previously from Malden. Frank was born in Melrose and educated in the Malden Schools and was a graduate of Malden High School class of 1959. After high school he went to work for H. K. Porter of Somerville in the shipping department, for twenty years. He then went to work for the C & L Motors of Malden & Wakefield as a salesman retiring in 1997. Frank was an avid tennis player.
He is survived by his wife Lynda D. (Rowlings) Chapman of Stoneham, his mother, Pearl S. (Parsons) Chapman of Stoneham, his daughter, Darlene G. Chapman of Stoneham and his sister Lillian Rooney of Everett, and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his father Clinton Chapman, and his son Douglas Chapman.
He was born August 17, 1941 in Melrose, MA the son of the Pearl (Parsons) Chapman and the late Clinton Chapman.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Lillian L. Charles-Carr
Lillian Loretta Charles-Carr, 80, died Thursday, October 18, 2001 at the Danvers Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Danvers, MA. Lillian was born in Kennebunk, ME and at an early age moved to Malden where she was educated and graduated from Malden High School. She continued her education at the Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. She then worked at Mass General Hospital as a registered nurse for several years before becoming a telephone operator for the New England Telephone Co. When she retired in 1988 she was a supervisor of operators. She was also a registered cosmetologist and hairdresser working out of her home. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneer's club of New England, the Telephone Pioneers of America and the AARP of Massachusetts. Mrs. Charles had been a resident of Malden for over seventy years.
She is survived by her daughter, Carole A. Peacock of Ohio, her son, Thomas A. Carr of Wakefield and her brother, Richard Smith of NH.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Carr, her sister, Julie Burpee of Fl and her brother Bud Smith of CA.
She was born March 10, 1921 in Kennebunk, Maine the daughter of the late Thomas and Lydia (Allen) Smith.
Visitation will be held at the Weir Mac Cuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. at the Weir - Mac Cuish Funeral Home with the Rev. Laren Whaley officiating. Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.

Mildred Eleanor Charlton
Mildred Eleanor Charlton, 96, a retired administrative assistant for Unitarian- Universalist Associates, where she worked for 35 years, died Thursday, August 09th, 2002 in Winchester. Mildred was born in Boston, and raised and educated in Charlestown. After completing her education, she went to work for the Rawding Bus Lines in Boston , which merged with Grey Lines Sight Seeing Tours. She worked as a director of tours for many years. After leaving the bus company, she took employment with the Unitarian- Univeralist Associates as executive secretary to Dr. Dana McLean Greeley, President. She retired in 1980.
Mildred was a long time member of the Centre United Methodist Church, in Malden. She was very active within the church and held many offices including secretary of the Administrative Board. She was also active within the United Methodist Women, and was a 2 time past president within the church, and was an officer at both the District and Conference level. She was a member and past secretary of the Old and the New, and a member of Malden Hospital Junior Aide. She also worked with the Girl Scouts of America in Somerville. Until 3 years ago, Mildred had spent over 30 years in Medford, 1966, and had previously lived in Malden and Somerville. She has just recently settled into the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester.
She is survived by Elaine W. Nordstrom (daughter) of Melrose, and her grandchildren, Nancy E. Nille, and her husband Jeremy R., Amy Kate Nordstrom, and Eric P. Nordstrom.
She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin, her Parents, Robert and Matilda (Bates) Patterson, and her daughter Gail R. Lardiere.
She was born May 16, 1906 in Boston, Massachusetts the daughter of Robert and Matilda (Bates) Patterson.
A memorial service will be held at the Centre United Methodist Church, 7 Washington Street, Malden, on Wednesday, August 14th, at 10:00 AM, followed by interment n Oak Grove Cemetery .

Eleanor M. "Laura" Chiesa
Eleanor "Laura" M. Chiesa, 86, of Malden, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. She was born July 16, 1918 in Boston, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Sarafina (Leone) Chiarello, one of 10 children. She was raised in the North End of Boston, and attended the local school system, graduating from Girl's English High School with the class of 1936. In the early 40's, she married her sweetheart, Louis A. Chiesa Jr, and the two would spend nearly 40 years together until Louis's passing in 1978. In the early 70's, Laura and Louis moved to Malden, and they became members of St. Josephs Church in Malden. Laura had worked at State Street Bank in Boston as a stockbroker until her retirement in 1980.
She is survived by her son, Michael and his wife, Sandra Chiesa of Revere, her daughter in- law, Emelia A. "Mimi" Chiesa of Stratham, NH, her brother, Rudolph Chiarello of Saugus, her grandchildren, Christopher, Steven and Michael Chiesa, and Andrea O'Brien, as well as 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Louis A. Chiesa Jr, , her parents, Pasquale and Sarafina (Leone) Chiarello, and her son Louis A. ChiesaIII., and her siblings, Leonard Onaroto, Lena Moudno, Michael Anzilotti, Rose Bertalami, Anthony Chiarello, Celeste Monarato, William Chiarello, and Olga Fiore.
Visitation will be held at the Weir- MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Wednesday, July 21st, from 4-9 PM

Louis A. "Lou" Chiesa III
Louis A. "Lou" Chiesa III, 60, died Monday January 12, 2004 at his home in Stratham, NH with his loving family at his side. Lou was born in the North End of Boston on March 25,1943. He graduated from Bentley College in 1965 and married Emelia A. "Mimi" Colurusso shortly thereafter. After having two sons, Christopher and Steven, the family moved to Malden and resided there for seventeen years . In 1989, Lou and Mimi moved to Stratham, NH. In 1999, they moved to Del Ray Beach, FL where Lou was a Senior Vice President for Tyco, International Ltd. In 2002, after working for Tyco for twenty seven years, he retired. Lou had been fighting a hard and courageous battle with cancer for the past seven and a half years.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Emelia "Mimi" Chiesa, his son, Christopher M. Chiesa and wife Eva of Candia, NH, his son, Steven M. Chiesa and wife Shannon of Exeter, NH, and his cherished granddaughters, Alexandria L., Elizabeth A. and Sarah V. Chiesa. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Chiesa and wife Sandy of Revere, his mother-in-law Eleanor "Nora" Colarusso of Everett.
He is the son of Eleanor "Laura" (Chiarello) Chiesa and the late Louis A. Chiesa Jr. of Malden.
Visitation will be held at Weir -MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden on Wednesday from 5-9 PM

Mark Stephen “Choppa” Chopelas
Mark Stephen “Choppa” Chopelas, 39, died, suddenly, Saturday, March 1, 2003 as a result of an accident while working construction on a new residence hall at Brandies University in Waltham. MA, early Saturday morning.Mark was born in Melrose and educated in Malden Schools graduating from Malden High School with the "Class of 1981". When he completed high school he went to work for the Somerville Post Office as a mail carrier and was employed there for nine years. He then went to work in the construction industry working for the Laborers International Union of North America Local # 151 where he has been employed for the past thirteen years. While working at the Brandies construction site he was being employed by the William A. Barry & Son of Danvers. He was a member of Sacred Heart's Parish in Malden, the Irish American Club of Malden and the Malden Fraternal Order of Eagles Aries #893. He was also very active in Malden youth sports having coached Malden Little League and Malden Youth Basketball Teams for a number of years. Mr. Chopelas was a life long resident of Malden, MA.
He is survived by his mother, Jean (Preshong) and her husband Jeremiah Kelleher, a Mass State Trooper, of Malden, his father, Thomas and his wife Linda (Wilson) Chopelas of Malden, his fiancé, Brenda A. Knight and her two sons, Danny and Brandon Knight of Malden, His brothers; Thomas Chopelas of NH and Robert Chopelas of Malden, his sister, Laura Lessard of Malden, his step-brothers: Jeremiah, Jr., Michael and Kevin Kelleher, his step-sisters; Diane Dowling, Margaret Plowman , Susan Marsinelli , Colleen Balato ,Doreen Tallent and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was born April 3, 1963 in Melrose, Massachusetts the son of Thomas and Jean (Preshong) Chopelas.
Visitation will be held at the Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-9 P.M.
