Frederick Paul Ciavarro
Frederick Paul Ciavarro, 69, died Monday, January 3, 2005 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. Fred was born and educated in Newark, New Jersey where he completed high school and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served in the submarine service during the Korean Conflict aboard the U.S.S. Jalleo and the U.S.S. Piper. He operated the Ciavarro & Sons Construction Co. of Malden for over thirty years. He then went to work for the Malden Redevelopment Authority as a Rehabilitation Specialist where he has been employed for close to ten years. He was a member of Sacred Hearts Parish in Malden and the Malden Moose. He was an active leader in scouting working with Troop #609 of St. Joseph's Church, Troop #602 of the Malden Moose and Troop #642 of the Christ United Methodist Church of Malden. He was Co-founder of the Malden High School Soccer Booster Club and active with the Diplomats Drum and Bugle Corp. of Malden.
He is survived by his wife Frances (Pellegrino) Ciavarro of Malden, his sons: Michael J. Ciavarro of Malden, Paul F. Ciavarro of Lynnfield, Joseph A. Ciavarro of Malden, David J. Ciavarro of GA. and his brothers: Richard Ciavarro of NJ, Joseph Ciavarro of NJ and Domenic Ciavarro of NJ. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his son John F. Ciavarro.
He was born April 14, 1935 in Newark, New Jersey the son of Joseph and Rose (Gueriero) Ciavarro. He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict having attained the rank of RM2, discharged on June 16, 1961.
Visitation will be held at Weir - MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Wednesday Jan. 5th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Flora Cynthia Ciccerella
Flora Cynthia Ciccerella, of Malden,88, died Saturday, January 04, at the Sunbridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Wilmington.Flora was born and educated in Boston. After completing school, she was employed in the garment industry in Boston as a stitcher. She was a resident of Boston until 1965, when she moved to Malden. She has lived in Malden for the past 37 years, and was a long time member of St. Josephs Church in Malden.
She is survived by her sisters, Olga M. Raso of Billerica and Lola Panagacos of Stoughton, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her parents Gaetano and Theodora (Perella) Oliva, and her sister Norma R. Tompson.

Joseph Carlise Clark, Jr.
Joseph Carlise Clark, Jr., 62, died Tuesday, August 10th at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA,after a brief illness. Joe was born and educated in Dorchester. When he completed high school he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam War as a firefighter in Libya. When he was discharged he returned to Boston and was appointed to the Boston Fire Department on February 19, 1969. He served as a firefighter on Rescue 2 out of Egleston Square for thirty two years until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of Local # 718 I.A.F.F. of Boston, Society of St. Florian of Boston, Boston Fireman's Relief and the Boston Fireman's Mutual Relief Fund. Mr. Clark, Jr. lived in Malden, MA for over thirty years and was previously from Dorchester .
He is survived by his wife Denise C.(Lawler) Clark of Malden, his son A. Todd & his wife Lauri Clark of Somerville, his daughter, Kerry A. & her husband William Harty of Wilmington, his son, Alexander Clark & Denise Lehr of Salem, his sisters; Mary Clark, of N. Quincy, Patricia Hansen of Bridgewater, Carol Starr of Bridgewater, Irene Kruise of CO, his brothers; Vincent Clark of Marshfield, Robert Clark of NH, Richard Clark of NV, Daniel Clark of CT, his grandchildren: Amber, Erin & William Harty and Cameron & Alexander Clark.
He was preceded in death by his son Philip Clark, and his sister, Marjorie Murphy.
He was born September 14, 1941 in Dorchester, MA, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Anderson) Clark, Sr.
He served in the Air Force during Vietnam Era having attained the rank of A2C. enlisted on October 20, 1961 at Boston, MA discharged on October 19, 1965 at Plattsburg AFB, NY

William Stanley Clarke
William Stanley Clarke, 75, died Thursday, July 11, 2002 at the Lahey-Hitchcock Clinic in Burlington, MA. Bill was born and educated in Dorchester and after completing high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army during WW II serving in France and the Philippines.
When he was discharged he moved to Malden where he and his first wife, Antoinette (D'Amelio) began raising their family of four children and later moved to Medford. Bill was widowed and subsequently married his wife of 22 years, Barbara (MacMillan). Bill worked for the Federal Government for over 40 years, first at the Boston Naval Shipyard in Charlestown as a supervisory auditor until its closing and then for many years as a Defense Contract Administrator until his retirement. Bill loved his many years as an usher and union steward at the Boston Garden/Fleet Center and cherished the friendships he made during his career there. For many years he was an usher at Harvard Stadium and a supervisor of ushers at Fenway Park, where he was well known to Sox fans in the Gate B area. He was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Parish of Malden where he served on numerous boards and committees, including membership in the Vestry and Men's Club. He was a Past President of the National Property Assoc. of Boston and a member of the Codman Square Guys. Mr. Clarke enjoyed living in Medford for the past forty-five years and was previously from Malden and Dorchester.
He is survived by his wife Barbara A. (Mac Millan) Clarke of Medford, his daughter Rutheanne "Cookie" and her husband E.J. Diozzi of NH, his daughter, Trudye W. and her husband Anthony Serino of Westford, his daughter Gayle H. Clarke of Cape Cod, his son Thomas J. Walsh of Medford, his brother George W. Clarke of HI, his sister Doris Stone of NH, his cousin, Margaret Bears of Arlington, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Arthur J. Clarke, his mother Hazel (Daley) Clarke, his first wife Antoinette R. (D’Amelio) Clarke, his daughter Pamela J. Clarke, his sister Helen MacDonald and his brother Arthur Clarke.
He was born September 22, 1926 in Boston, MA, the son of the late Arthur and Hazel (Daley) Clarke.

Margaret Inglis Clough
Margaret (Inglis) Clough, 87, a sales clerk for Jordan Marsh, where she worked for 20 years, died Monday, August 19, 2002 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. Margaret was born in Scotland and moved to the United States at the age of 10, settling in Melrose. She completed her education in Melrose, graduating from Melrose High School. She married her husband Theodore in 1934, and the two shared the next 67 years together, until Theodore's passing last year.Mrs. Clough has lived in Malden, MA for the past 60 years and was previously from Melrose.
She is survived by her sister Gladys Paine of IL, her grandchildren Jay Barriss of CT, Jeffrey Barriss of Melrose, Joy Barriss-MacAskill of Saugus, and Adam Clough of NH, and also 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore, formerly of Malden, her parents Walter & Jessie (Smith) Ingles,formerly of Melrose, her daughter Patricia A. Barriss,formerly of Malden, her son Gary S. Clough, formerly of NH. and her brother Stephen Inglis, formerly of Middleton.

Theodore Frederick Clough
Theodore Frederick Clough, 88, a retired Research Engineer for Lincoln Laboratories, of Lexington, MA where he worked for 36 years, died Sunday, July 15, 2001 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA after a short illness. Mr. Clough was born in Malden and was a life long resident. He was a longtime Mason with the Richard C. Maclaurin Lodge AF & AM with M.I.T. in Cambridge for 44 years. Mr. Clough was a graduate of Malden High School Class of 1930, he continued his education at Lowell Technical School for many years. Ted and his wife Margaret had been married for 66 years.
He is survived by his wife Margaret I. (Inglis) Clough, Arthur Clough (brother) of NH, Jay Barriss (grandson) of CT, Jeffrey Barriss (grandson) of Melrose, Joy MacAskill (granddaughter) of Malden, and Adam Clough (grandson) of NH, Also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son Gary S. Clough formerly of NH, his daughter Patricia A. Barriss formerly of Malden, his father Frank Clough, and his mother Maude (Clemens) Clough. His brothers Norman, William, and his sisters, Helen Clough and Violet Johnson.
He was born July 26, 1912 in Malden, MA the son of the late Frank and Maude (Clemens) Clough.

Barbara Ann Collupy
Barbara Ann (Croft) Collupy, 68, a housekeeper for Lenox Hill Nursing Home, where she worked for years, died Thursday, December 20, 2001 at Rosewood Nursing Home in West Peabody, Massachusetts. Barbara was born in and raised in Malden, attending the Sacred Hearts and the Cheverus Schools. She had a strong work ethic, and always worked two Jobs. She moved to Lynn with husband Donald after marrying, and lived there for 45 years.She avidly enjoyed bingo, and also enjoyed lunches at the Davenport Yacht Club. Barbara was also a long time dedicated member of Sacred Hearts Church in Malden. Mrs. Collupy had just moved back to Malden this past year.
She is survived by her husband Donald A. Collupy of Malden, MA, her daughter Katherine E. Collupy of Malden, her sister Joan E. Croft of Warwick, RI, and her brothers Thomas L. Croft of Lynn, Ralph R. Croft of Lynn.

E. Frances Connell, 95 died Monday, April 1, 2002 at the Woodbriar Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington MA. Frances was born and educated in Casco, ME and attended secretCourier school in St. Louis, MO. She then came back to Massachusetts where she resided briefly in Everett before settling in Malden over sixty years ago. She was employed as a secretary for Factory Mutual Insurance Co. of Boston for several years. She was a member of the Forestdale Community Church of Malden, The Malden Old & New, Malden Historical Society, The Malden Garden Club, the Camera Club of the YWCA of Malden, a Cub Scout Leader and an active quilter and a member of the Casco Quilting Club where she spent her summers. Mrs. Connell lived in Malden, MA. for over 60 Years and spent her summers in Casco , Me.
She is survived by her daughters, Bette F. Gramstorff of Tewksbury, G. Ellen Lavoie of N.H., her sons, Robert M. Connell of Wilmington, Richard E. Connell of Billerica, her sister, Helen Wilkinson of FL and 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and two great grand children. .
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald M. Connell.
She was born July 25, 1906 in Casco, Maine the daughter of the late Norman H. and Mary A. (Lamb) Edwards, formerly of Malden.

Helen Theresa Connelly
Helen Theresa Connelly, 79, died Tuesday, February 4, 2003 at her home in Malden, Massachusetts after a lengthily illness. Helen was born and educated in East Boston. When she completed school she married her husband Paul J. Connelly before he shipped oversea with the U.S. Navy during WWII. She then went to wok at the Boston Naval Ship Yard where she was employed until the end of the war. When her husband was discharged from the Navy she raised her family and settled in Malden in 1955 where she has resided for the past forty- seven years. When her children were older she went to work for Acme Bookbinding Co. of Somerville where she was employed for over fifteen years until her retirement in 1997. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Malden. Mrs. Connelly lived in Malden, Massachusetts for 47 years and was previously from East Boston.
She is survived by her daughters; Maureen C. Della Gatta of Newburyport, Karen A. Cagnina of Malden, Kathleen A. Parlee of Malden, Paula J. Lever of Malden, her son Thomas M. Connelly of NH, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Connelly and one brother and sister.
She was born October 15, 1923 in East Boston, Massachusetts the daughter of Thomas and Alice (Keough) Gorman.

Joseph Connors
Joseph Connors, 64, a retired custodian for Lemuel Shattuck Hospital, where he worked for years, died Thursday, December 12, 2002 at New England Rehabilitation Hospital in Woburn. Joseph was born and educated in Cambridge. After high school he went to work for Casey Movers in Cambridge. After leaving the moving company, he took employment with Risman Trucking in Medford, where he worked for many years. He left the trucking company and became a custodian at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital, where he worked until his retirement. Mr. Connors lived in Malden, Massachusetts for 6 years in Malden and had previously lived in Springfield and Cambridge
He is survived by his daughter Ann Madonna of PA, his brothers Marty Connors of D.C., Thomas Connors of Lexington, and Roger Connors of NY, his sister Margaret Cousins of Malden, and his granddaughter Mandy Madonna of PA.
He was preceded in death by his father Peter A. Connors, and his mother Elizabeth Byrd.
Funeral services will be private.
Jean Phenard Constantin
Jean Phenard Constantin, 18, died suddenly May 21, 2003 as a result of an accident in Malden on Rt. 60 on Wednesday evening. Jean was born in Boston and started his primary education in Everett before moving to Malden twelve years ago. He was due to graduate from Malden High School on June 6th with The Class of 2003. While at Malden High School, he was a member of the school basketball and football teams, as well as a talented singer in the Choral Art Society. He was active in the Junior Varieties talent show and Senior Fashion Show where he enjoyed utilizing his creative talents. Jean was an office helper in his House Principal’s office. As a member of the Malden High School community, Jean was extremely popular because of his outgoing, sensitive, and friendly demeanor. Jean treated all students and staff with decency and respect.He held down a part time job after school at The Kid Stop, a day care center where he was very successful with the youngsters there. He had recently taken on another part time job working at the Square One Mall at Best Buy as a clerk and supervisor. The loss of Jean Constantin is one that the community of Malden will be healing from for a long time.
He is survived by his mother Lucienne Mondesir, his brother Wilkins Constantin, his sister, Blondine Constantin both of Dorchester, his twin brother, Mark Etienne Constantin, his brother, Claude Phillip Accime his sister, Lucinda Clara Accime all of Malden and his uncles and aunts, Dr. Eusebe & Kethlyn Constantin of New York, Dr. Yanick Constantin of Florida, Maude Constantin of Brockton, Jean Claude Mondesir of Haiti, and Jacques A. Mondesir of Montreal.
He was preceded in death by his father Emmanuel Constantin.
He was born November 3, 1984 in Boston, Massachusetts the son of Lucienne Mondesir and the late Emmanuel Constantin of Malden.

John Constantino
John Constantino, 96, a retired barber for John's Barber Shop, where he worked for 57 years, died Monday, April 16, 2001 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MAMr. Constantino had lived in Malden, MA for most of his life.
John Constantino…or “Johnnie the Barber” as he was known around town, or simply PAPA to his family.
Born in Messina, Sicily in 1904 he immigrated to this country with his parents Santo andSerafina at the tender age of 10 years. When his family arrived they really wanted to become Americans. John learned English and spoke with out even a trace of an accent. He worked at many jobs, Bowling pinsetter, Western Union Delivery boy and milkman.
John’s father supported his family as a barber and at the age of 17 he joined his father in the family business. This was to become a life-changing event. Not only did it establish his life long career, it was here that he met the love of his life, Rose. Just a few houses from the barber shop lived Rose Guida along with her seven brothers. He knew of her since most of her brothers were his customers. One summer day he strolled up the street and asked her out for an ice cream. That was the beginning of a life long romance that lasted truly a lifetime, almost 77 years. They were both children by today’s standards, John was just 19 and Rose was just sweet sixteen. They married just a few months after meeting. John and Rose began their family soon after their marriage and bore three beautiful children, Sam, Lucy and John.
For 57 years Johnnie the Barber cut the hair and shaved the faces of the regular guys, the famous and infamous. John actually cut the hair of Albert DeSalvo, the reputed “Boston Strangler” They are all just my customers to me, I treat all of them the same no matter who they are. John worked at the barbershop well into his seventies and in fact retired only because the landlord wanted to expand his business into his shop area.
John enjoyed over twenty years of retirement in good health and led a simple, yet very full life .
He is survived by his wife Rose (Guida), his son, Samuel Constantino, his daughter R. Lucy Lynch both of Malden, one sister Jenny Saco of Florida. Loving grandfather of Kerry S. Leppo of Milton, and great-grandfater ofJ. Nicholas Leppo of Milton.
He was preceded in death by his son John Constantino, his father Santo Constantino, his mother Serafina, and his sister Nora Constantino.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at Forest Dale Cemetery, 150 Forest Street, Malden Rev. Harvey Smith will be officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
Rose Constantino
Rose Constantino, 93, died Thursday, March 7, 2002 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA. Rose was born in Boston and educated in Malden schools. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of the Malden Moose Auxiliary. Mrs. Constantino was a lifelong resident of Malden, MA.
She is survived by her son, Samuel Constantino of Malden, her daughter, R. Lucy Lynch of Malden, her brother Joseph Guida of Stoneham her grandson Kerry S. Leppo of E. Walpole and her great grandson J. Nicholas Leppo of E. Walpole.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Constantino of Malden ,her son John Constantino of Malden , her brothers, Patrick, Michael, Daniel, Charles, William and Anthony Guida all formerly of Malden .
She was born March 15, 1908 in Boston, Massachusetts the daughter of the late Nicholas and Maria (Solazzo) Guida.

Robert Emil Contant
Robert Emil Contant, 83, died Sunday, December 29, 2002 at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett, MA. Robert was born in Medford and educated in Wakefield schools. When W.W. II broke out he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving with Company L of the 182nd Infantry. He saw service in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre and the Philippines. He returned to Wakefield after his discharge and went to work for Friends Beans of Malden as a retort operator for twenty -eight years until it closed. He then went to work for Boston Centerless of Malden as a tool and die maker until his retirement in 1990 at the age of seventy-one. He was a member of VFW Post 639 of Malden and the American Legion Post # 69 of Malden. Mr. Contant lived in Malden, MA for the past fifty years and was previously from Wakefield.
He is survived by his wife Pauline F. (Hubbard) Contant of Malden, his daughters, Linda A. Heartquist of AZ, Donna M. Contant of Malden, Roberta J. Contant of Malden, MA, his sisters; Marion E. Perkins of Tewksbury, Doris G. Swain of Melrose, Helen K. Hier of Melrose, Natalie D. Berman of S. Hadley, Eleanor O’Leary of AZ, his brothers; Roger A. Contant of FL, Richard W. Contant of NH, and his granddaughters, Sandra & Erica Heartquist of AZ.
He was preceded in death by his brother Arthur L. Contant, Jr.
He was born March 9, 1919 in Medford, Massachusetts the son of the late Arthur L. and Cora (Dodge) Contant. He served in the Army during World War II having attained the rank of Sgt. Enlisting on June 10, 1940 at Malden ,MA discharged on July 10, 1945 at Ft. Devens, MA

Louise Content
Louise (Patrice) Content, 71, died suddenly, Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at her home in Malden, MA. Louise was born and educated in Port Au Prince, Haiti. Upon completion of her schooling, she began work as a self employed seamstress. In 1968 she immigrated to the U.S., settling in Boston where she resided for twenty one years . She then moved to Malden where she resided for the past sixteen years. . She worked for Beth Israel - Deaconess Hospital in Boston in the Environmental Department as a housekeeper for over twenty five year until her retirement six years ago.
She is survived by her son, Jean-Maurice Content of Malden, her sister, Simone Mesidor of Haiti her brother, Claude Patrice of Haiti and many nieces and nephews. .
She was preceded in death by her father Fortuna Patrice, her mother Nerela Patrice and her daughter, Michelle Content. .
She was born August 25, 1933 in Port Au Prince, Haiti the daughter of the late Fortuna and Nerela (Nini) Patrice.

Dorothy Estelle Conway
Dorothy E. (Dean) Conway, 92, died Wednesday evening, December 28, 2005 at the Dexter House Nursing Home in Malden. Dorothy was born in Everett, one of eight children to the late Herbert & Susan S. (Sherman) Dean.
She was educated in the Everett school system and in the late 20's Dorothy's family moved to Malden. Dorothy met her next door neighbor, John C. Conway and the couple later married and raised their daughter Dorothy. Mrs. Conway worked different jobs in the Malden area, her last was an electronics tester with the former Town & Country Electronics Company in Malden, until her retirement in the late seventies.
In her spare time Dorothy enjoyed watching television and going out to eat with her daughter. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church, in Malden and had lived in Malden for eight-eight years.
She is survived by her daughter Dorothy E. Conway of Malden.
She was preceded in death by her late husband John C. Conway, her father Herbert Dean and her mother Susan Sherman, her sisters Sarah Jones, Abby Templehoff, Elizabeth Dean and her brothers Edward Dean, Chester Dean, Herbert Dean and Sherman Dean.

Aidan Thomas Cooper, Sr.
Aidan Thomas Cooper, Sr., 87, a retired lieutenant commander for the U.S. Coast Guard, died Saturday, November 4, 2000 at V.A. Medical Center in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. Aidan was born in Everett and graduated from the Immaculate Conception High School in Revere with the Class of 1932. He then enlisted into the U.S. Coast Guard at the age of nineteen in 1932 serving in the North Atlantic throughout WWII. He served aboard the following Coast Guard Vessels; The USS Thetis, USS Hunt, USS Hunt, USS Faunce and the USS Covington retiring as a Lieutenant Commander in January of 1947. He resided in Everett for four years after his retirement then moved to Malden where he has resided for the past 48 years. When he retired from the coast guard he worked for the General Ship & Engine Co. of East Boston as a machinist for eight years He was a communicant at Immaculate Conception Church of Malden a member of the National D.A.V. and the Retired Officer's Association of Washington, DC.
He is survived by his wife Eleanor L. (Walsh) Cooper of Malden, his daughter, MargueriteM. Cooper of Malden, MA, his son Rev. Aidan T. Cooper of Quincy, MA, his daughter, Jean E. Cooper of Virginia, his sister, MaryBonnafee of Hudson, MA, his grandsons, DanielTolliver of Virginia, and ChristopherTolliver of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James F. Cooper of Everett and his grandson Bryan Tolliver of VA.
He was born October 14, 1913 in Everett, Massachusetts the son of the late James F. and Mary P. (Fitzpatrick) Cooper.

John Anthony Coppla
John Anthony Coppla, 67, a retired moterman for the MBTA in East Boston, where he worked for 27 years, died Saturday, March 10, 2001 at New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. John was born and raised in Chelsea, graduating from Chelsea High School with the Class of 51. Following High School, he enter the Air Force, and fought with the SQ 366th Air Base Group. He served in the Air Force during Korean Conflict having attained the rank of Airman 1st Class., He enlisted on February 28, 1952 at Boston, MA discharged on February 28, 1956 at England AFB, Louisiana After his discharge, he returned to the Malden Area, and settled down with his wife Barbara. He worked for the MBTA as a Motorman for 27 years, and retired in 1995. He was a longtime member and past Director of the Boston Baptist Social Union, a member of the Carmans Union, and a long time member of the Maplewood Baptist Church, where he was a Life Deacon. Mr. Coppla lived in Malden, Massachusetts for over 30 years and was previously from Chelsea.
He is survived by his wife Barbara (Smith), mother Mary Coppla of Malden, sons John A. Coppla of Malden, Charles L. Coppla of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, daughter Ellen J. DiBenedetto of Medford, Sisters Camille Eston of Avon Park, FL, Frances Foss of Souix Falls, SD, Mary Ann French of Datona Beach, FL, and brother Domenic Coppla of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jessica, Sarah, and Rachel Coppla of Malden, and Juliana DiBenedetto of Medford.
He was preceded in death by his father Domenic Coppla.

Mary Coppla
Mary (Mastrangelo) Coppla, 98, died Sunday, December 1, 2002 at the Dexter House Nursing Home in Malden, MA. Mary was born in Newark, NJ and moved at an early age to Chelsea, MA with her family where she was educated. She was employed as a stitcher for Walton Shoe Co. of Chelsea before going to work for the Green Shoe Co. of Boston where she was employed as a stitcher for over twenty years until her retirement in 1966. She has been a resident of Malden for the past thirty- five years and was an active member of the North Shore Assembly of God Church in Malden. Mrs. Coppla lived in Malden, MA. for the past thirty five years and was previously from Chelsea .
She is survived by her daughters Camille Elston of FL, Frances Foss of S. Dakota, Marry Ann French of Fl, her son Domenic Coppla of NV, her sister, Constance Mastrangelo of NJ,. nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Domenic Coppla and her son John A. Coppla of Malden.
She was born June 28, 1904 in Newark, New Jersey the daughter of the late Frank and Giovanna (Giallanella) Mastrangelo.

John F. Cox
John F. “Fran” Cox, 84, a retired inspector for City of Chelsea, died Thursday, October 12, 2000 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, Melrose, MAMr. Cox was a resident of Malden, MA for the last 20 years and was previously from Chelsea, MA.Fran was born in Middleboro, MA and was educated in the Chelsea School system. After completing school, he served in the U. S. Army withBattery C212th. Armored Field Artillery Battalion during World War II, having attained the rank of Private First Class. He served from February 1942 and was discharged in October 1945. He was involved in battles in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe. He earned the following medals, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Metal, European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon. After his discharge he worked for the American Oil Co. and then Sunoco Oil Co in Chelsea delivering fuel to homes. Fran, was an inspector for the City of Chelsea in the Weights & Measures Dept. for many years and retired in 1978. He was active member of the Winthrop Country Club and was a avid golfer. He was a charter member of the Sagamore Club in Chelsea.
Fran is survived by his sister Mary C. Cox of Malden, MA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen J. Cox, and his mother, Mary A. (Gibbons), Joseph S. Cox (Brother).

Edith Mabel Crandall
Edith Mabel ( Spinney) Crandall, 96, a retired buyer for the former Jordan Marsh Department Store, where she had worked for 25 years, died suddenly Saturday evening, March 3, 2001 at her son's home in East Falmouth, MA. Mrs. Crandall was born and educated in Malden, MAShe was a life long resident of Malden, later residing in East Falmouth for the last 3 years. Mrs. Crandall was a life member of the Malden Hospital Ladies Aid, member of the Malden Old & New, Melrose Order of the Eastern Star Chapter # 99, Women's Society of the First Baptist Church and long time member of the the First Baptist Church in Malden.
She was a buyer for the former Joslin Department Store and the former Jordan Marsh Department Store in Malden, retiring in 1970.
She is survived by her son, GordonE. Crandall Jr. and his wife Harriet M. of East Falmouth, MA. Her daughter, Lois M. Crandall of Harpswell, ME Grandmother of 8 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Gordon E. Crandall Sr., her father George Spinney, and her mother Minnie Thompson.
She was born January 25, 1905 in Malden, MA.

Overton Wesley Crawford
Overton Wesley Crawford, 95, died Saturday, February 8, 2003 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Overton was born and educated in Malden, MA and after graduating high school worked as a Pullman porter for the Boston & Maine Railroad to save up money to go to college. He then went to West Virginia State College for three years and returned to the Railroad to save for his final year of College. He was then drafted into the U.S. Army during W.W. II. He served as a corporal with the Medical Department Service Command Unit 1127 at Ft. Devens, MA. When he was discharged he returned to Malden and opened the Crawford Bottle Goods Store in Suffolk Square which he operated for eighteen years. He then went to work for the Malden Redevelopment Authority for five years before going to work for the Federal Government. He was a rehabilitation specialist in the regional office of Housing and Urban Development at the JFK Building in Boston, retiring in 1984. He served as a Malden City Councilor for Ward 7 in 1950-1951. Mr. Crawford lived in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts for the past six months and was previously from Boston and Malden.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline I. (Davis) Crawford of Chestnut Hill, MA, his daughter, Ellen L. Martin Story of N. Reading and his grandson, Andrew O. Martin of Wakefield.
He was born June 25, 1907 in Malden, Massachusetts the son of the late Overton and Clementine (Cook) Crawford.

Donna Marie (Geer) Croteau
Donna Marie (Geer) Croteau, 54, died Sunday, August 05, 2001 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose,. Mrs. Croteau lived in Malden, Massachusetts for the past 50 years. She was born October 26, 1946 in Charlestown, Massachusetts the daughter of Daniel Geer and the late Beatrice (Hamm) Geer. Donna attended the Malden schools systems and was a member of Malden High's Class of 1964. She married her husband Richard on March 18th of 1966 at St. Josephs Church in Malden, and shared the next 35 years with him. Donna enjoyed camping, and was very dedicated to the well being of her entire family.
She is survived by her husband Richard E. Croteau of Malden , her father Daniel E. Geer of Malden, her son, Richard E. Jr and his wife Karen Croteau of Malden, her sisters Lorraine Morse and Patricia Laird of Malden, her brother Paul Geer of Malden, her sister Rose Mary Hinton of Bow NH, her sister Susan Amato of Georgetown, her brothers Wayne Geer, Daniel Jr. Geer, her sister Cynthia Geer, her brother Brian Geer, her sister Doris Geer, and her brother Robert Geer, all living in Malden. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother Beatrice ( Hamm).

Elizabeth C. Cummings
Elizabeth C. Cummings, 72, of Malden, formerly of Lynnfield, died Friday, October 29, 2004 at her home in Malden. Elizabeth was born in Melrose. She moved around a bit at a young age, and settled in Malden where she graduated from Girls Catholic High School with the Class of 1950. In 1956, she married her sweetheart, Walter E. Cummings, and the two would share nearly 50 years together.She worked for the telephone company for many years, first in Malden, and then was transferred to Woburn and then Boston. She began as an operator, and was involved in computer processing when she retired. Liz enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Walter E. Cummings of Malden, her daughter Mary J. Cohen of Holliston, her sons David J. Cummings of Malden and W. Scott Cummings of Windham, NH, her sisters Madelyn Grasso of Malden and Mary J. Keeny of MD, as well as 6 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father James Williamson, and her mother Elizabeth Baron.

Edward Joseph Cunningham
Edward Joseph Cunningham, 82, a retired dispatcher for B.P. Oil Co. of Revere, where he worked for 30 years, died Saturday, June 16, 2001 after a short illness, at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA
Mr. Cunningham had lived in Melrose, MA for 50 years and was previously from Chelsea. Mr. Cunningham was born and educated in Chelsea and graduated with the Class of 1936. He was a Corporal with the U.S.M.C. in WW II serving fromAugust 5, 1943 to Oct. 26, 1945. He served in battles on Guadalcanal, New Zealand, Bougainville, Iwo Jima. Ed retired from the oil company in 1976.
Mr. Cunningham was a Past Commander of VFW Post # 2346 Saugus, MA from 1962-1963. He later became a member of the Melrose VFW Sgt. Harold O. Young Post # 2394 Melrose, MA
He is survived by his daughters, Donna J. DeAngelis and her husband Edward R. of Saugus & Kathleen A. Brooks and her husband Thomas E. of Alfred, ME. He was the loving brother of Maude McKenna of ME, Irma Eaves of FL and the late Henry Cunningham. He was a grandfather of Michael Baglio of Melrose, Michele Baglio of Saugus, Brian & Melanie Brooks of ME.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rosalie A. (Davis) Cunningham, his father, Daniel J. Cunningham, and his mother Maude A. Thomas and his brother Henry Cunningham.
He was born September 12, 1918 in Chelsea, Massachusetts the son of the late Daniel and Maude (Thomas) Cunningham.

Maria Soccorsa Curigliano
Maria Soccorsa Curigliano,86, died Thursday, November 27, at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Maria was born and raised in Italy. At the age of 39, she moved to the US and settled in the Malden area. After moving to here, she was employed by the Kennedy Clothing Company in Boston as a seamstress. She worked there for 22 years until her retirement at the age of 62. Throughout her years she vas very active with the international organization, St. Anthony's Guild. Maria also loved crocheting, baking cookies, and reading her prayer books.
She is survived by her sister Rose in Italy, her niece Mary Polia of Malden, her nephews Domenic Piccione of Winchester and Pasquale Piccione of Malden, as well as many other nieces and nephew in Italy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sabestiano and Maria (Rosa) Curigliano, her sisters Antionette, Caterina, Concetta, and Soccorsa, and her brother Guiseppe.

Edward Louis Cuthbert III
Edward Louis Cuthbert III, 50, died suddenly, Monday, May 19, 2003 at the St. Elizabeth's Medical Center of Boston in Boston, MA. Ed was born in Somerville and educated in Malden Schools graduating Malden High School with the Class of 1971. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force for four year attaining the Rank of Sgt. as an instructor at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas and also was stationed at Holmstead Air Force Base in FL. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany and Ft. Devens, MA until his discharge in August of 1981. He then enrolled at Northeastern University in Boston where he received his degree in Business Administration. When he graduated he moved to Michigan where he opened his own business, Advanced Educational Services which he operated for ten years before retuning to Massachusetts. When he returned to Massachusetts he went to work for the MBTA as an administrative assistant on the Green Line. Mr. Cuthbert lived in Middleton, MA for the past year and a half and was previously from Malden.
He is survived by his daughter, Renee' Jonell Cuthbert of E. Boston, his son, Edward L. Cuthbert IV of Everett, his daughter, Kimberly Ann Cuthbert of E. Boston, his father Edward, L. Cuthbert, Jr. of Malden his sister, Janet M. Thwing of Middleton, his niece, Amanda Leigh Thwing of Middleton and his nephew Jonathan Robert Thwing of Middleton.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy (Vaughan) Cuthbert of Malden.
He was born February 11, 1953 in Somerville, MA the son of Edward L., Jr. and the late Nancy (Vaughan) Cuthbert.

Mary Ann (Pesa) Cutillo, 74, died suddenly Friday, August 2, 2002 at her home in Malden. Mrs. Cutillo had lived in Malden for the last twelve years and was previously from Revere. She was born in Revere, MA and resided there for 62 years. She was a graduate of Revere High School Class of 1946. Mary was a clerical worker for State Street Bank in Boston, where she worked for 25 years, later retiring in 1994. She worked for the Fleet Bank in Malden for 2 years. She was a active member & communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Malden and while living in Revere she was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
She is survived by her sons MichaelP. Cutillo of Stoneham & DavidA. Cutillo of Revere and her daughter CherylA. Pacheco of WA. Her brother Peter Pesa of FL, and seven grandchildren & two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Sarno, her father Peter Pesa, and her brother Pasquale Pesa.
She was born August 25, 1927 in Revere, MA the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Sarno) Pesa.
