Louis Philip Gagnon
Louis Philip Gagnon, 62, longtime resident of Malden, died Tuesday, July 06, 2004 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. "Phil" was born and raised in Maine. He graduated from Brunswick High School with the class of 1960. A few years later, he took employment with the Coca Cola Company as a distributor. He remained with the company until his retirement in 2003. In 1969, Phil married his sweetheart Carolyn Welch. The two settled in Malden to raise a family, and have remained here since then.
Phil was a long time member of the East Side Athletic Association, and was an avid collector of Coca Cola Memorabilia.
He is survived by his wife. Carolyn (Welch) Gagnon of Malden, his mother, Mary (Marcin) Gagnon of Weymouth, his daughter Jessica L. Gagnon of Malden, his son Mark L. Gagnon of Malden, and his sisters, Nancy L. Kolling of RI, and Frances L. Gagnon of Quincy, MA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis P. Gagnon.
He was born January 16, 1942 in Lewiston, Maine the son of Louis and Mary (Marcin) Gagnon.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Barbara Myrta Garrett
Barbara M. Garrett, 68, a lifelong resident of Malden, died suddenly Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. Barbara was born and raised in Malden. She graduated from Malden High with the class of 1955. After high school, she took employment with John Hancock as a secretary. She later worked for Gilbert Realty, also as a secretary. In 1958, she married her sweetheart, Melvin L. Garrett, and the two would share nearly 50 years together raising their family. Barbara was a very active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Malden, and served the church as Senior Warden, Choir Director, and also secretary. She was also an active member of St. Anne’s Guild within the church, where she served in the past as President, Vice President, and Secretary. Barbara was an avid bowler for many years, and also enjoyed playing cards and entertaining guests, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin L. Garrett of Malden, her children, Jay P. Garrett of Hampton, NH, Meredith J. Vitale of Everett, and Raymond A. Garrett of Malden, and her brother, Richard W. Melanson of Billerica.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Eleanor (Morgan) Melanson.

Louise Mary Gaudet
Louise M. Gaudet died Monday, September 26, 2005 at her home in Malden after a long illness. She was 82. Born on June 18, 1923 in Bradenville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ofemio and Mary (Troiani) Angelini. Louise was a graduate of Holliston High School. She then graduated from Sheppard Gill School of Nursing. Louise worked for many healthcare institutions such as Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston as well as the Dexter House Nursing Home in Malden. She met her husband, Frederick P. Gaudet, and the couple were wed on March 10, 1946. They spent more than thirty years together until Frederick’s passing in 1980. On top of being a nurse, devoted wife and dedicated mother, Louise was a foster mother to many for over twenty years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary in Malden and a member of the 630 Club in Malden. In her earlier years, Louise enjoyed making ceramics. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Malden.
She is survived by her children, Paula A. Moore of Weymouth, David F. and his wife Jo-Ann, Gaudet of Malden, Catherine and her husband, Anthony Angelini of Dedham, Donna M.and her husband, John Henry of Malden, Donald P. Gaudet of Malden, her siblings, Anthony Angelini of Dedham, Irene Cusato of SC, six grandchildren, Stephen, Kristen, Scott, Kimberley, Nicole, Janelle as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the second mother to Daniel Langston of Malden and Andrea Kolden of NH. She is also survived by her loving foster family.
She was the loving grandmother of the late John J. Henry, Jr. and sister of the late Lenny Angelini, Jean Rea, and Claire Hansbury.

Marie Regina Gelormini
Marie Regina Gelormini, 75, a retired accountant for Federal Reserve Bank, where she worked for 40 years, died Thursday, April 04, 2002 at Somerville Hospital in Somerville. Marie was born and raised in Boston. She was a graduate of East Boston High School. After high school, she went to work for the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston, and was employed as an accountant there for 40 years.
Marie moved to the Everett area in the early 60's, and has lived there ever since. She was a faithfull member of St.Theresa's Church and was active with the Women's Guild within the church. She was also very dedicated to the her family, and was always involved with looking after them.
She is survived by her nephews John Gelormini of Saugus, and Kenneth Gelormini of Salem, NH, as well as her niece Linda Tighe of Sandown, NH. She is also survived by 3 great nephews, and one great niece.
She was preceded in death by her father Constantino Gelormini, her mother Raffaela (Smaldone) Gelormini, her brother Costantino Gelormini, and her sister in law Raffaela (DeVille) Gelormini.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 8, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Theresa's Church. Rev. Msgr. William J. Foster of St. Theresa Church will be officiating. Warrren C. Gertz Jr.
Warrren C. Gertz, Jr., 75, died Thursday, May 5, 2005 at his home in Malden, MA. He was born November 4, 1929, in Billerica, MA, the son of the late Warren C. and Margaret (Boyland) Gertz, Sr. After he graduated from Everett High School, Warren enlisted with the Navy on March 29, 1948 at Boston, MA and served during the Korean Conflict having attained the rank of AD3. He was discharged on March 28, 1952 at San Diego, CA. Upon his return home, he married Adele E. Nicholson, his wife of 52 years, on March 28, 1953. Warren worked as an automotive spray-painter for many various body shops in and around Malden. He was a life-member of the VFW Post #2346 of Saugus.
He is survived by his wife, Adele E. Gertz of Malden, his sons, Edward Gertz and his wife Valerie of Malden, and Kenneth Gertz of Malden, his daughter-in-law, Karen Gertz of Middleton, his sister Ethel Milley of North Reading, and his granddaughter, Kerri Gertz of Malden. . He was preceded in death by his son Martin Gertz of Middleton.

Romeo Anthony Gianelly
Romeo Anthony Gianelly, 88, died Sunday April 27, 2003 at the Life Care Center of Stoneham. Romeo was born in Naples, Italy and came to the United States at the age of three when his family settled in the West End of Boston where he was educated. When he completed school he became an amateur boxer and started driving cab in the Boston area. He then obtained his own cab medallion and drove cab independently in the Boston area for many year until his retirement in 1980. He also worked as a mutual clerk at Suffolk Downs Race Track in East Boston. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Parish in Malden and he loved to travel with his wife since his retirement. He was a resident of the West End of Boston until moving to Malden in 1953 where he has resided for the past fifty years.
He is survived by his wife Carmela (Gianino) Gianelly his son, Richard Gianelly his daughter, Judith Connelly his sisters, Elizabeth Milas and Florence Stack, his three grandchildren and his five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Gianelly, and his mother Lena.

Salvatore Anthony Gidari
Salvatore Anthony Gidari, 82, died Sunday, June 27, 2004 at the Winchester Hospital in Winchester, MA. Sal was born and educated in Cambridge graduating from Ringe Tech. When he completed high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II serving in the Asiatic and Pacific Theatres. He was honored to be one of the sailor aboard The U.S.S Todd in Tokyo Bay when the Japanese signed their Treaty of Surrender aboard the U.S.S. Missouri. When he was discharged he returned to Cambridge and worked in the construction industry before going to barber school. He the partnered with another barber in the University Barber Shop in Harvard Square. This became a very popular spot in Harvard Square and made headlines when it was forced to close by being forced out by his landlord in 1967 He then managed the Harvard Business School Barber Shop until his retirement in 1984. He attended St. Joseph's Church in Malden and was a member of the National Woodcarving Association which he enjoyed doing as a hobby. He was also an avid fisherman and spent close to six months of the year fishing on Pleasant Lake in Elkins, NH. Mr. Gidari lived in Malden, MA for the past forty eight and was previously from Cambridge.

Michele Lee Giles
Michele L. Giles died Monday, November 7, 2005 at her home in Phoenix, AZ, she was 32. Born on March 20, 1973 in Woburn, MA, she was the daughter of the late Marion “Bev” (Kelliher) Giles and Michael Giles. Michele grew up in Medford and lived in Phoenix for the past four years.
She is survived by her sons, Anthony Giles of NH, Brennan Harrison of Everett, Gilbert "C.J." Green and David Casey of Stoneham, her siblings, William Thomson of Malden, Francis Thomson of Wareham, Debora Norton-Olson of Everett, Beverly Stein of Lehigh Acres, FL, Teresa Marshall-Thomas of Everett, Tracy Ingemi of Stoneham, John Giles of Revere, Scott Giles of Saugus, and Michael Giles of Charlestown, her aunt, Lorraine Toye of Burlington as well as numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

William David Gillespie
William David Gillespie, 72, died Sunday morning, January 12, 2003 at his home in Malden, MA Mr. Gillespie was a life long resident of Malden. He was educated in the Malden School system and attended high school at Boston College High School, graduating with the Class of 1947. After high school he joined the Army and served during the Korean Conflict. Bill was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Boston Red Sox. He was a communicant of St. Josephs Church in Malden and was a member of the American Legion Post # 69 Malden, MA.
He is survived by his children, William Gillespie II and his wife Patty of Malden, Kathleen Sinacola and her husband Michael of Wilmington, Mary Ann Sinacola and her husband Ralph of Melrose, Mark Gillespie of Tyngsboro and his friend Flo Callahan, Eileen Cook and her husband Lee of Malden, Donna Miller and her husband Marty of Malden. Brother of Dolores Armstrong and Catherine Ciotti both of Everett. Also survived by twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara A. (Travers) Gillespie, his father William Gillespie, and his mother Loretta Moran and his brother Thomas Gillespie formerly of Medford.
He was born July 3, 1930 in Stoneham, MA the son of late William and Loretta (Moran) Gillespie. He served in the Air Force during Korean Conflict having attained the rank of Airman Second Class Regular Air Force. He enlisted on September 9, 1948 at Ft. Banks, MA and was discharged on August 5, 1952 at Westover Air Force Base. He saw service with the 1600th. Supply Squadron at the base. He later served with Army National Guard of Mass. Company K 182nd Infantry and was discharged on March 11, 1955. After reenlisting with the National Guard he served with the 26TH. Administration Co. of the 26th Infantry Division Command, and was discharged as a Sergeant E-5 on January 20, 1965.

Mary Bernadette Gillis
Mary Bernadette (Peters) Gillis, 87, a retired floor lady for Malden Knitting Mills, died Saturday, September 15, 2001 at the Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA Mary died after complications from a traffic accident at the corner of Newhall & Main St. in Malden on August 30, 2001. Mrs. Gillis had moved from Canada at the age of 16 and lived in Natick, MA She later moved to the South End of Boston before settling in Malden. Mrs. Gillis had lived in Malden for the last 64 years.
Mary was a floor lady for the Malden Knitting Mills for 31 years and retired in 1977. Mrs. Gillis was a former member of the Robinson Methodist Church in Malden until it's closing. Mary loved to bowl with the Malden Senior Citizen Group and was an avid knitter, sewer and needle pointing. Mary also performed volunteer work at the Central Animal Hospital in Stoneham for 15 years.
She is survived by her daughter M. Norma Chisholm & son-in-law Edward F. of Reading, her son, Donald B. Gillis and his wife Bettina L. (Cappelli) of Warwick, RI, Her sister M. Emily DesRoches & M. Lucy DesRoches both of Canada. Her grandchildren Andrew D. Gillis, Victoria A. (Gillis) Rinne and her husband Leray, Edward J. Chisholm, Donald P. Chisholm, Paul N. Chisholm and his wife Carrie. Great-grandmother of Isabella Q. Rinne.
She was preceded in death by her husband Norman Gillis, her father Maxim F. Peters, her mother Maude Blanchard, her sisters M. Rita Arsenault and M. Ethel DesRoches.
She was born November 24, 1913 in Palmer Rd. section of St. Louis, P.E.I. Canada the daughter of late Maxim and Maude (Blanchard) Peters.

Mellisa Gillis
Mellisa Gillis, 27, a instructor for Genetics Institute in Andover, died suddenly Sunday, September 9, 2001 in Melrose, MA. Mellisa was born and raised in Melrose. She graduated from Melrose High School with the class of 1992. She continued her education at Harvard University, where she completed her degree in Chemistry. She worked at MIT for a couple of years until taking a position at Newton North High School teaching chemistry. Mellisa taught there for 2 years and recently she took on a position training biochemists at Genetics Institute in Andover.
Mellisa was a member of the Harvard Alumnus Assoc., was an avid reader, and enjoyed Mountain Biking.
Ms. Gillis lived in Malden, Massachusetts for 6 Months and had previously lived in Somerville and Melrose.
She is survived by her Parents, Barbara A. (Pizzano) & Richard E. Gillis, her brother Gabe J. Gillis of Florida, her grandmother Angelina Welsh of Malden and her very dear friend, Lawrence Andreason, of Malden

She was born April 2, 1974 in Malden, Massachusetts the daughter of Richard E. and Barbara A. (Pizzano) Gillis.

Nancy J. "Jeanie" (Prevost) Girardi, 64, died Friday evening, November 8, 2002 at her home in Malden, MA. Jeanie was born in Somerville and raised in Cambridge and educated in the Cambridge School system. She was a retired quality control worker for the Arrow International Medical Supply, in Woburn where she worked for four years. Nancy met and married her husband Ralph L. Girardi and they were married on April 8, 1983. Nancy and Ralph resided in Malden with their families for the last twenty years. Jeanie was a member of the Somerville Social Club and was an avid dart player. Mrs. Girardi had lived in Malden, MA for last 20 years and was previously from Cambridge.
She is survived by her husband Ralph L. Girardi of Malden. Her son Kevin F. Keane and her daughter Kelly A. Keane both of Malden and her stepsons Ralph L. Girardi Jr. of NH, Ronald Girardi of NC and Richard Girardi of Everett. She was the sister of Diane Coutino of NH, Wayne and John Prevost both of Cambridge. Step-daughter of Salvatore Magliozzi of Cambridge. Also survived by eight grandchildren

Arthur Walter Glennon Sr.
Arthur Walter Glennon, 60, retired autobody repairman, passed away Saturday, September 24, at his home in Derry, NH, following a courageous battle with cancer. . Arthur was born and raised in Malden, attending the Malden School Systems. He also attended St. Josephs Church where he received his first communion. After high school, he learned the trade of auto body repair, and worked as a "body man" for many years, before opening his own auto body shop, Exchange Street Autobody, in Malden. He ran the business for many years until a disability forced his early retirement. Soon after his marriage to Carol A. Lavallee in 1968 the two settled in Reading where they resided for over 30 years, and raised their son Arthur Jr. Arthur had retired to Derry, NH almost 2 years ago, where he enjoyed spending his time fishing.
He is survived by his wife beloved wife, Carol A. (Lavalee) Glennon of Derry, NH, his devoted son, Arthur W. Glennon Jr. of Derry, and NH, and his loving sister, Margaret "Peggy" Rooney (sister) of AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Helen M. (Convery) Glennon.

Leslie Perry Goss
Leslie P. Goss, 81, a retired bus driver for the former Mass Transit Authority, of Medford, MA where he had worked for 21 years, died Monday, December 18, 2000 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, MA. Mr. Goss was born in Everett and educated in the Everett school system. He was a resident of Malden, MA for over fifty years.
Leslie had worked out of the Salem St. car barn in Medford and later worked as a master machinist with the International Equipment Co. of Needham. He also worked for another 10 years at Touraine Paints in Everett, MA, until his retirement. Mr. Goss was a long time member of the Centre United Methodist Church of Malden and former member of the Sons of St. George of Malden. Mr Goss was a fifty year member of the Mount Vernon & Galilean Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Malden.
He is survived by his two daughters, Judith A. Scotti of Medford, Althea L. Santolucito of Malden, one son, H. Brooks Goss of NJ, and his brother Alvin Goss of Malden. Also survived by 4 grandchildren, Toniann L. Snow of NY, Brook J. Goss of NJ, Jason & Derek Santolucito both of Malden.
He was preceded in death by his wife Agnes A. Mullay, his father Joseph Goss, and his mother Adelade Perry.
He was born May 3, 1919 in Everett, MA the son of Joseph and Adelade (Perry) Goss. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II.

G. "Ritchie" Gotell
G. "Ritchie" Gotell, 51, a pipefitter, died Monday morning, March 8, 2004 at his home in Malden. Ritchie was a resident of Malden for the last ten years and was previously from Weymouth. He was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada and came to this country with his family and settled in Weymouth in 1961. He was educated in the Weymouth school system and was a graduate of Weymouth High School Class of 1971. After high school he joined the pipefitter's union local # 537 Boston, MA. He was a well-known and respected pipe fitter for 33 years working in the Boston area. Ritchie was a member of the Irish American Club, and was an avid sports lover. He loved playing horseshoes, pool and enjoyed trips to Foxwoods. He loved to assist the baseball coaches with the Malden Central Little League. He was truly loved by his entire family.
He is survived by his wife Valerie A. (Vittorioso) Gotell of Malden, his mother, Helen I. (MacNeill) Gotell of Kingston, his son G. Ritchie Gotell Jr. of Weymouth, his daughters, Kellie A. Gotell of VT, Krista L. and Kerrie M. Gotell both of Weymouth, his son, Joseph W. Gotell of Malden. His sisters Juanita Dossett of KY, and Kim E. and her husband Joseph Hatch of Kingston. Audrey Mae Gould
Audrey Mae Gould, 92, a longtime resident of Melrose, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at Masconomet Health Care Center in Topsfield, Massachusetts. Audrey was born & educated in Saint John, New Brunswick. She moved from Canada to America in 1945. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Malden for many years. Both Audrey and her husband Elton were very involved in the church. Audrey worked for the Hudson Bus Lines, in Medford, as a bookkeeper for 29 years and retired in 1974. Audrey had been a resident of Melrose for well over 51 years.
She is survived by her sister, her sisters Dorothy McMillan and Clara Dean of New Brunswick, Canada, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lemuel & Bessie (Denton) Hamilton, her husband, Elton C. Gould, and her brothers Roy, Murray, and Kenneth Hamilton, and her sister Florence Whipple of N.B. Canada.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 30th, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. Rev. Martha A. Dominy of First Baptist Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held at the Weir – MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, one hour prior to the service.
Rita May Graham
Rita May Graham, 70, a housewife died Friday, January 26, 2001 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, Massachusetts. She was born July 29, 1930 in Boston, the daughter of Richard and Viola (Mack) Trumble. While growing up, lived in Arlington, Cambridge, and finally graduated from Wellesley High School. She Married her husband Henry in 1953, at the Sacred Hearts Church in Cambridge. In 1955, she moved to Burlington where she live for the next 30 Years. At that time Rita moved to California, where she managed and aparment complex with her husband. She continued doing this even after Henrys death in 1990, until health concerns brought her back to the Boston Area. She has lived in Malden for the past 4 years.
She was an avid Bingo Player, and always make it to the Sunday games at Malden Catholic. She also treasured her time wth her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by her son, Baine P. Graham, son, Lee J. Graham of Acton, daughter, Jayne M. Santosuosso, son, T. Christopher Graham of Malden, and daughter Lorraine A. Davidson (daughter).
She was preceded in death by her husband Henry, her father Richard Trumble, her mother Viola Mack, and her brother Richard Trumble.
A Prayer Service will be held Monday, January 29, 2001 at 8:00 P.M. at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home. Rev. Neal W. Davidson will be officiating. Cremation will follow in the Woodlawn Crematory in Everett. Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home on Monday from 7-9 PM.

E. Priscilla (Glazier) Graves a lifelong resident of Malden, died on Monday, July 1st at the Dexter House Nursing Home, in Malden. She was born September 15, 1912 in Malden, MA and was the daughter of the late Willard E. & E. Maude (Smith) Glazier.
Mrs. Graves is survived by her husband of 70 years, Sheldon W. Graves, four children, Eleanor M. Lyons and her husband Walter of Malden, Betty G. Bender and her husband Joseph of Melrose, Phyllis A. Snow of Malden and Lee S. Graves and his wife Margaret of Rumney, NH. She was the cherished grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Everett Glazier of OH and Russell Glazier of AR and the late Ruth Baker formerly of PA and Dorothy Wiggin formerly of Malden. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Grace Abel of Andover and Barbara Graves of Stoneham, Augusta Graves of Hamilton and by a brother-in-law Robert Tyler of Stoneham and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her lifelong friend, Evelyn Page of Lynnfield.
For seventy seven years Mrs. Graves was an active member of the Maplewood Baptist Church serving in the Senior Choir, Women's Christian Fellowship and various bible study groups.

Sheldon Wallace Graves
Sheldon Wallace Graves, 91, died Sunday, January 25, 2004 at Pilgrim Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Peabody, Massachusetts. Sheldon was born in Woburn, and at an early age he moved to Malden where he was raised and educated. Shortly after high school, he married his sweetheart E. Priscilla Glazier, and the two would share the next 70 years together. Sheldon was a contractor for many years, during which he had formed and managed two construction companies, the S.W. Graves Co, in Newton, and International Floor and Wall, also in Newton. He also was very active with the Floor Covers Union, Local #2168, having joined in 1941 and serving as President of the Union.
He is survived by his daughters Eleanor M. Lyons and her husband Walter of Malden, Betty G. Bender and her husband Joseph of Melrose, Phyllis A. Snow of Malden his son Lee S. Graves and his wife Margaret of Rumney, NH, 12 grandchildren and 18 great – grandchildren, his sister Grace Abel (sister) of Andover, his sister-in-law Barbara Graves of Stoneham brothers-in-law Robert Tyler of Stoneham and Russell Glazier of TX, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marcia Ruth (Graham) Leary Gray
Marcia Ruth (Graham) Leary Gray, 60, of Melrose, passed away in the presence of her loving family in her home on Saturday, July 05. Marcia was born and educated in Malden graduating Malden High School with the "Class of 1960". She worked as an administrative assistant for Commercial Union and the Strauss Insurance Co ob Boston for fifteen years. She then went to work for the Melrose YMCA where she was the administrator of the baby sitting program at the Y for over ten years and then became a receptionist for Community Action Agency of Somerville until having to retire because of her poor health. She was a lifetime member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church of Malden and a perennial star of the Annual Variety Shows. She was also an avid reader and was a creative influence on many through her music and appreciation of art. Mrs. Gray lived in Melrose, Massachusetts for thirty two years and was previously from Malden.
She is survived by her husband Roy W. Gray of Melrose, MA, her son Christopher J. Leary and his wife Heather of Melrose, her daughters, Autumn R.N. Phaneuf, and her husband Marc of Melrose and Nicole J. Gray of Melrose, and her granddaughters, Tyler & Paige Leary of Melrose.
She was preceded in death by her father James Graham, her mother Ruth Hammond, and her sister Jean Costello.

Francis Joseph Greeley
Francis Joseph Greeley, 67, died Saturday, August 14, 2004 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA. Frank was born and educated in Somerville. When he completed school he became a truck driver for Teamsters Local # 25 AFL-CIO. He drove for DS Woodberry of Charlestown and a number of other firms for thirty two years, retiring in 1988. He then went to work for the Middlesex County Court in Cambridge as a medical records clerk and was employed there for twelve years before retiring in 2002. He was a member of Teamsters Local # 25 AFL-CIO, the Irish American Club of Malden the Malden Lodge of Elks # 965 and the Malden Organization of Clubs. Frank has lived in Malden, MA for the past thirty two years and was previously from Somerville.
He is survived by his wife Barbara A. (Bettencourt) Greeley of Malden, his daughter Lisa Greeley and her husband Richard C. Howard , of Malden, his son, Gary M. & his wife Deirdre Greeley of Fl, his daughter, Jill G. & her husband, Patrick Sheehan of Millis, his sister, Dorothy West of KS and five grandchildren..

Josephine A. (Williamson) Greenberg, 87, died Wednesday July 30, 2003 at the Hunt Nursing & Retirement Home in Danvers, MA Josephine was born in Stoneham and educated in Malden schools. She had been a lifelong resident of Malden. She was a long time member of the Maplewood Baptist Church of Malden, the Malden Garden Club and the Melrose Chapter #14 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a former cafeteria worker at the Forest Dale Elementary School.
She is survived by her children Carl F. Greenberg of NH, Marjorie L. Braese and Ralph A. Greenberg both of Ipswich and Chester A. Greenberg of Malden. Also survived by thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer F. Greenberg, her father Otis R. Williamson, her mother Bessie L. Perry, her brother's Otis, Ernest and Ralph Williamson, her sister's Ruth Rouillard, Marion Campbell and Elmira MacCuish.
She was born November 3, 1915 in Stoneham, MA the daughter of the late Otis and Bessie (Perry) Williamson.

Matthew M. "Matty" Greer
Matthew M. " Matty" Greer, 81, died suddenly on Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA. Matty was the owner operator of the former Greer Garage on Lebanon St. and later on Broadway, Malden where he worked for 45 years. Matty was born in East Boston and educated in the Malden School system. He was a graduate of the Class of 1941. After high school he joined the US Army in April of 1943. After returning home from the war, Matty worked for the Fore River Ship Yard in Weymouth as a welder. He later opened the Greer Garage on Lebanon St. Malden in 1947. After six years he changed the name to Maplewood Motors and moved to Broadway in Malden. His younger brother Ralph Greer came into the business and the two worked together until Matty retired in 1992. Matty was a lifetime member of the Malden Chapter #1910 of the Loyal Order of the Moose. He loved dancing to country & western music and was an avid fan of auto racing and was at times an owner of cars himself. He was the former President of the West Peabody Speedway and was also an avid photographer . Matty lived in Malden for the last 65 years.
He is survived by his wife Marie C. (Plummer ) Greer, his sons Charles M. Greer of N. Reading, Matthew M. Greer II of Saugus and his daughters Grace L. Costanza of Lynnfield, Dawn M. Zanazzo of Malden, Laura L. Greer of Randolph, his brother Alfred Greer Jr. of Hooksett, NH, Alvaro Greer of Framingham, George Greer of Wolfeboro, NH Ralph Greer of Malden and his sisters Theresa Whooley-Locke and Edith Smith both of Malden and his fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Alfred Greer, his mother Edith (Costa) Greer and his sister Alfreda Heath.

Ralph F. Greer Sr.
Ralph F. Greer, 73, a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away Monday, September 26, in the presence of his loving family. Ralph was born and raised in Malden. Soon after high school, he enlisted in the US Army where he was a sharpshooter. He served for 6 years in the Army and was then discharged into the National Guard. While serving with the National Guard, he attended and graduated from the Mass Military Academy. He was then promoted to the rank of Captain. He continued to serve in the National Guard until January of 1992, when he retired from the Army as a Sgt Major with almost 40 years of dedicated service to our country. When he returned from active duty in the 50's, he began racing cars in the Peabody Racing Circuit, with what became known as the "Greer Team". His brother, Matty, opened up the Greer Garage on Lebanon Street which Ralph became part of just a couple years later. In 1966, they reopened the garage on Broadway as Maplewood Motors. Ralph ran the garage until his retirement in 1997. In 1956, Ralph married his sweetheart, Sheila A. Lally, and the two shared 49 wonderful years together raising their 3 children. Ralph was an active member of the Malden Lions Club, Chapter 33k, often participating with the Eye mobile. He was also a two time past President and a past Lt. Governor. He was a "Lifetime Member in Good Standing" of the Malden Lions.
Mr. Greer had also joined the Middlesex County Deputy Sheriffs office and served as the treasurer of the Office. He also rode the "Blue Knights," Mass Chapter 5, motorcycle team and participated in the precision drills they performed both in the US and Internationally.
He is survived by his wife Sheila A. (Lally) Greer of Malden, his daughters, Karen E. Greer-King and her husband Paul, of Melrose and Denise M. Greer of CA, his son, Ralph F. Greer Jr. and his wife, Theresa, of Peabody, his brothers, Alfred Jr. of Hooksett, NH, George of Wolfeboro, NH, and Alvaro of Framingham, his sisters, Theresa Whooley-Locke of Malden and Edith Smith of Malden, and his grandchildren, Paul, Kyle, and Shayna.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Edith (Costa) Greer, his sister Alfreda Heath and his brother Mathew M. Greer.

Ruby Frances( Mills) Grenon, 94, a machinist for Pratt & Whitney, where she worked for 20 years, died Sunday, October 28, 2001 at Groton Regency Center, Groton, CT Ruby was born in Gloucester, MA. She later settled in Medford, MA and lived there for 35 years. Mrs. Grenon worked at the American Optical Co. in East Boston for 15 years. She later worked for the Pratt & Whitney Air Craft Engines in Hartford, CT. Mrs. Grenon had lived in Groton and Hartford, CT for the last 20 years. Ruby was an avid bingo player and loved her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Clifford J. and his wife Barbara L. Thompson of Yarmouthport, MA, her brother Ernest Mills of Hampton, NH, she was the grandmother of Karen Duffy of Providence, RI, Linda Hoffman of Nashua, NH, Debra Shanahan of Chelmsford, and Clifford J. Thompson Jr. of Clinton, MA. Also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Grenon was preceded in death by her husband Orie H. Grenon, her father Ruben Mills, and her mother Laurell McKay.
She was born November 8, 1906 in Gloucester, MA the daughter of the late Ruben and Laurell (McKay) Mills.

Pamela May Griffin
Pamela May Griffin, 53, an officer manager, died early Tuesday, August 28, 2001 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA after being stricken with a heart attack at her residence in Malden. Pamela was born in Melrose and educated in Malden Schools, graduating Malden High School with the "Class of 1965". She continued her education graduating from the Malden Business School after which she went to work as a clerk, in the probation office, at the Malden District Court House. She was employed there for thirty-five years and was currently the office manager of the probation department at the courthouse. She was a member of the Centre United Methodist Church of Malden and The New England & Essex County Genealogy Societies. Mrs. Griffin was a lifelong resident of Malden, MA.
She is survived by her son, John C. Griffin of Malden, her brother Richard A. Berry of SC, and her beloved aunt, Margaret L. Burt of Malden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin E. Griffin, Jr., of Malden.

William Grifone, 61, of Malden, died Monday, June 17, 2002 at the New England Medical Center in Boston, MA. William was born and educated in Boston and when he completed his education he went to work as a laborer in the construction industry for several years. He then became a truck driver for Boston Sand and Gravel Co. where he has been employed for over thirty eight years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Malden and Teamsters Local #379 AFL/CIO of Boston. Mr. Grifone lived in Malden, MA for over thirty years and was previously from East Boston .
He is survived by his wife Lucille H. "Lu"(Bolster) Grifone of Malden, MA, his mother, Madeline (Ennis) Grifone of East Boston, his son, William Grifone, Jr. of Malden, his son, Kenneth and his wife Pam Grifone of E. Boston, his son, John and his wife Katie Lewis of Brocton, his son, James Olson of Haverhil, his brother, James Grifone of Everett, his sister, Linda Liebl of FL and several nieces and nephews.

Adelia Guglielmi
Adelia Guglielmi, 93, died April 17, 2005 at the Dexter House Nursing Home in Malden, MA. Adelia was born and educated in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy, and was the daughter of the late Francesco and Graziella DiMascio. After Adelia completed school, she married her husband, Attilio Guglielmi of 73 years. The couple moved to the U.S. over 50 years ago and residing in Dorchester, Norwood, and Florida before finally settling in Malden 20 years ago. Adelia was a member of Sacred Hearts Church in Malden, MA

Ruth "Melba" Guild
Ruth "Melba" Guild, 87, a retired telephone operator, died Friday, March 1, 2002 at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center in Medford, MA. Mrs. Guild was a life long resident of Malden and worked as an assembler for the former Transitron Electronics Co. of Melrose. She later worked as a telephone operator for the former N. E. England Telephone in Malden for eleven years and retired in 1979. Melba had been active with the former Faulkner Methodist Church of Malden and with the Women's Club helping to run the church suppers and other activities at the church. She was a member of the New England Pioneers.
Melba is survived by her daughters, Lynda D. Loeser & Priscilla L. McCarthy both of Melrose, her sister Buena E. Davis of Lowell and her seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
