Jason Michael La Valle
Jason Michael La Valle, 22, died suddenly as a result of a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, August 27, 2002 in Sandwich, MA. Jason was born in Malden and started his education in Somerville. He moved to Malden at the age of twelve and was active in the Malden Middle School Wrestling Team. He went on to the North East Regional Vocational School in Wakefield where he studied auto body repair, graduating in 1999. When he graduated he went to work in the construction industry as a mason and general contractor. He had just become an apprentice, August 1st, in the Sheet Metal Worker's Union and was looking forward to learning the trade. He was and avid outdoors person enjoying snowboarding, scuba diving and motorcycling. Mr. La Valle lived in Malden, MA for the past ten years and was previously from Somerville.
He was the son of Dorothy, E. & Robert L. Busi of Malden and Richard D. La Valle of CA. The brother of David A. La Valle of Malden, the maternal grandson of former Malden Firefighter, Arthur & Barbara Schulze of NH, the paternal grandson of Richard E. La Valle of Somerville and Florence Champney of NH, the step grandson of Louis & Barbara Busi of Somerville, the nephew of Frank & Carol Curtis of FL, Alfred & Nancy Mancino of Medford and Anthony & Joni Julianello of NH.
He was born June 29, 1980 in Malden, Massachusetts the son of Richard D. and Dorothy E. (Schulze) La Valle.

Archilles "Archie" La Torella
Archilles "Archie" La Torella, 92, died Friday, September 9, 2005 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA. Born in Revere on July 20, 1913, the son of the late Filiberto and Philomena (Frongillo) La Torella. He was raised and educated in Winchester and was a graduate of Winchester High School Class of 1936. He continued his schooling at English High School, in Boston taking night classes in Business Administration and accounting, continuing onto Northeastern University.
When WW II broke out he joined the U.S. Army in November of 1943, first as an infantryman and later as a Staff Sergeant and radio repairman. He served over seas for seven months and saw action in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre of Operations with the Engineer Forest & Quarry Center in the Philippine Island. He was later discharged in April 1946.
Archie married Theresa Mazza and the couple would spend many loving years together raising their son Stephen in Malden until Theresa’s passing in July of 1974. Archie worked for the American Biltrite Co. in Chelsea as a manager for forty three years and even after retirement returned as a consultant to the company. For over twenty years Archie worked for the Malden Square Bowladrome, were he enjoyed watching the kids bowl. He was a lifelong communicant of Sacred Hearts Church and worked over forty years as an usher for Sunday Mass. He was a longtime member of the Mystic Valley Gun Club and the American Legion Post # 69 in Malden. He was an avid card player, bowler, golfer and baseball fan and was a model train enthusiast. He spent many hours tending his huge vegetable and rose garden in his back yard. He loved growing different colored roses. He was devoted to his grandsons and loved watching them excel at baseball and basketball. Mr. La Torella had lived in Malden for the last fifty years.
He is survived by his son, Stephen F. La Torella and his wife Judy of Peabody, his cherished grandsons, Daniel, Michael and Brian La Torella.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa (Mazza) and his father Filiberto La Torella and his mother Philomena (Frongillo), and his daughter Janice and brother Frederick La Torella.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Sunday from 4-8 PM.

Ella S. Lake
Ella S. (Ireland) Lake, Long time Malden resident, on Nov 6th at the Blair House Nursing Center in Tewksbury, passed away at the age of 83 after a brief illness. She was born in Ludlow MA on June 23rd, 1920, daughter of the late David S. and Annie R, (Black) Ireland.
Later moving ot Lynn, where she was educated and resided until marrying lifelong Malden resident Donald E. Lake, on March 5th, 1949. Mrs Lake was retired from Mystic Valley Elder Services, and had been past employed by Cains Potato Chips, and Spirit INC.
She was the loving mother of Pearl Price and husband paul of Tewksury, Wilfred Lake and wife Theresa also of Tewksbury, Ronald Lake and Wife Joanne of Wakefield, Priscilla Carpenter and Husband Wayne of Wilmington, Bernice Kelley and Husband Scott of Malden. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lake was the sister of the late Lillian Klinos.

Velma Atherton Lane
Velma A. (Atherton) Lane, 62, died Sunday, January 16, 2005 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, MA after along illness. Velma was born and educated in Skowhegan, Maine, and later moved to the Boston area at the age of eighteen.
She meet her husband David at the Center Club in Boston and the couple would marry on July 17, 1977 in the South Church, in Boston. They settled in Alliston and she worked for the Greater Boston Rehab in Cambridge for ten years. The couple later moved to Malden and bought a home and she worked for Triangle, Inc for five years as a assembly worker, until her health problems. She had been a member of the Center Club of Boston for over twenty years and the couple shared a love for photography. Velma had lived in Malden for the last sixteen years and was previously from Allison and Skowhegan, Maine.
She is survived by her husband David Lane of Malden, her sisters Arlene Woods of Skowhegan, ME, Patricia Woods of FL, her brothers, Charles Burrill of VT, Leslie Burrill of Pittsfield, MA, Francis Burrill & Phillip Burrill both of Maine.
She was preceded in death by her father Elgin Atherton, and her mother Joyce Barrett.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden. Rev. Rod Rivera of First Church of the Nazarene will be officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
Allen Washington Langston
Allen W. Langston, 73, died on Friday, July 8, 2005 at his home after a long illness. Born in Newton Grove, NC on September 30, 1931, the son of the late Luther and Eliza (Williams) Langston. After Allen graduated from high school in Newton Grove, he and his family moved to Boston in 1951. Shortly after, he enlisted in the Air Force in March of 1952. On September 20, 1953, he married his sweetheart, Dorothy V. (Jackson) in Ipswich, MA. After attaining the rank of Airman 1st Class, Allen was discharged from the Air Force in March of 1956. In 1965, he was hired by the Malden Police Department and served as a Patrolman for 31 years until his retirement in 1996. Allen was a past member of the I.B.O.E. of W.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy V. of Malden, MA, his children, Mildred Augustine of Boston, Robert A. Langston of Malden, Stanley H. Langston of Cape Cod, Beverly A. Langston of Malden, and Michael A. Langston of Malden, his siblings, Edna Jackson of Roxbury, Grady L. Langston of FL, Lovestine Eason of Boston, and Jerry Langston of Randolph, as well as five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Walter G. Langston.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody at 11 AM. Family and friends are invited to meet at the Weir ~ MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home 144 Salem St. Malden at 10 AM for a funeral procession to Puritan Lawn. John Donald Larkin
John Donald Larkin, 75, a longtime resident of Somerville, died Saturday, November 20th at his home in Newton. John was born in Boston and raised in Somerville. While growing up, he attended Malden Catholic and graduated with the class of 1947. He enlisted in the service right out of high school, and served with the Screaming Eagles, 101st Airborne Division during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge he returned to his wife Eleanor M (Latta), and the two would share over 50 years together until his passing. John worked for many years managing various body shops in the Somerville area, and even after his retirement 4 years ago, he worked at Marco Appliance in Malden to keep himself busy.
John was an active member of the VFW Post 9800 of Somerville, and the American Legion Post 19 of Somerville. He was also an avid sports fan, enjoying all of the local sports teams. Mr. Larkin lived almost his entire life in Somerville, until just recently moving to Newton,.
He is survived by his wife Eleanor M. (Latta) Larkin of Newton, his daughter Carol Larkin of Malden, his son, Stephen D. Larkin of Salem, hss grandchildren, Tracy Fraser, Taryn Fraser, James Fraser, and his great grandchildren, Claudia and Isabella.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Gladys ( McKee) Larkin, and his sisters, Pauline Burns, Geraldine Walsh, and Rita Adelaide Hamilton.

Gerald Raymond Larsen
Gerald Raymond Larsen, 64, died, suddenly, Monday, September 6, 2004 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA. Gerry was born and educated in Somerville. When he completed school he went to work as a machinist for the Hy-sil Shoe Co. of Everett where he was employed for several years. He then became a truck driver for J.D. S. Refrigeration of Everett delivering produce to area stores. Gerry was a long time resident of Everett before moving to Malden ten years ago
He is survived by his wife Gloria A. (Shackelton) Larsen of Malden, his son, Richard R. Larsen of Malden and his brother Alan Larsen of Wareham.
He was preceded in death by his brother George Larsen of Revere and his sister Jean Mc Intyre of Somerville.
He was born November 24, 1939 in Somerville, MA the son of the late George and Alice (Doucette) Larsen.

Anne Latham
Anne Latham, 62, a home health aide coordinator for Medford Visiting Nurses, where she worked for 20 years, died Friday, September 08, 2000 at Lahey-Hitchcock Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts. Anne was born and raised in Ireland. Growing up, she left school early to help raise her family. In 1960 she moved to the US. After living in Everett for a few years, she moved to Melrose, where she resided for the past 22 years. She was an active member of St. Mary's Parish in Melrose. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her yourg grandson Noah.
She is survived by her husband John, sons Mark E. Latham & Sean M. Latham of Melrose, sister Kay Phillips & brothers Patrick Carolan ,Anthony Carolan & Edward Carolan all of Ireland and grandson Noah D. Latham of Melrose.
She was born July 22, 1938 in Dundalk, Ireland, the daughter of Anthony and Kathline (Garvey) Carolan.

Elsie E. Latham
Elsie E. Latham, 84, of Malden, died Saturday, December 13, 2003 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. Elsie was born in Cambridge, and moved to Malden at an early age, where she was raised and educated. In September of 1939, she married her sweetheart, Calder B. Latham, and the two would share the next 52 years together, until his passing in 1991. Elsie was a long time member of the Maplewood Baptist Church, a past member of Rebecca's Lodge, and a past member of the Viking Club in Quincy.
She is survived by her sons Calder B. Latham Jr. of Maine, John Latham of Melrose, MA, William E. Latham of Malden, MA, and Elvira E. Latham of Malden, MA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Calder B. Sr., her parents John and Sigrid (Lindquist) Mattsen, and her brother John Mattsen.

Anthony Joseph LaVerde Sr.
Anthony Joseph LaVerde Sr., 83, a retired letter carrier, died on Monday, September 25, 2000 at his home in Medford, MA, after a brief illness. He was born in Everett, MA and after completing school he served in the U.S. Army during World War II having attained the rank of Tec 4. He enlisted on January 13, 1941 in Somerville, MA and was discharged on February 22, 1944 in Topeka, KS. He participated in the Battle of Guadalcanal from Dec. 1942- Feb. 1943. He received the American Defense Service Ribbon and the Asiatic – Pacific Theater Ribbon. He was also a disabled American Veteran. When he was discharged he became a postal carrier in Medford and always had dog treats for all the dogs on his route and lollipops for the children. He loved to paint different signs that were needed at the post office and play the musical saw with either a bow or a piece of wood. He was a member of the Saugus VFW Post # 2346 and the Winchester Knights of Columbus Council # 210. Mr. LaVerde had been working at Johnny’s Food Master in Medford, for the last 5 years until his illness. He was also a member of the Postal Union.
Mr. LaVerde has resided in Medford, MA for the last 17 years after spending five years of his retirement in Eliot, ME, where he had moved after spending 37 years in Malden.
He is survived by his wife Rose M. (Verrengia) LaVerde of Medford his daughter, Rosanne M. and her husband Joseph Denaro of Bedford, Patricia Goen (Former daughter-in-law), Gennaro LaVerde (Brother) of Medford, Margaret Neff (Sister) of Everett, Eleanor Bazylinski (Sister) of Melrose, and the late Guy and Frank LaVerde (Brothers), Josephine Gaskill, Mildred Leggiero, Marion Manzi (Sisters). Also survived by Carleen R. West (Granddaughter) of Bedford, MA, Kelly M. Stewart (Granddaughter) of Wakefield, MA, Anthony J. LaVerde III (Grandson) of Everett, MA and Rene' M. LaVerde (Granddaughter) of Portsmouth, NH. Also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.

Cora Maria Lavino
Cora Maria Lavino, 87, longtime resident of Malden, died Saturday, February 14, 2004 at the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center in Medford. Cora was born in Boston, and at an early age she moved to Malden where she was raised and educated. At the age of 21, she married her husband John Lavino and the two shared over 50 years together until his passing in 1990. Cora was a loving mother and grandmother, and all knew her as a very caring person.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth J. Demetrio of Malden, her son, Vincent J. Lavino of Malden, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lavino, her parents, Carmine and Emilia (Ungaro) Botto, and her brothers Generoso Botto, Anthony Botto, and Alfonso Botto.

Lorraine Mary Lawler
Lorraine Mary Lawler, 71, died Tuesday, February 6, 2001 at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center in Medford, MA. Lorraine was born and educated in Malden and after completing high school was employed as a secretary for the Mass Electric Co. of Malden. It was after her marriage that she went to work for the Malden School Department as a teacher’s aide and cafeteria worker. She was also employed by Intercity Homemakers, caring for the elderly in their homes. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish and enjoyed square dancing being a member of the Broadway Twirlers of Malden. Mrs. Lawler was a lifelong resident of Malden, MA
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara A. Mu’uri of Finland, her son, Stephan C. Lawler of Malden, her son Peter C. Lawler of Peabody, her son, John C. Lawler of Malden, her daughter Mary Ellen Lawler of Middleboro, her daughter, Kathleen L. Walsh of Malden, her brother, Gerald Meuse of FL, his sister, Janice Leonard of N. Reading and her brother, Richard Meuse of Melrose. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Lawler, and her brothers Donald Meuse, and Wilfred Meuse.
She was born August 18, 1929 in Malden, MA the daughter of the late Henry and Dorothea (Johnson) Meuse-Doherty.

John Ambrose Le Blanc, Jr.
John Ambrose Le Blanc, Jr., 70, a retired accountant, died Saturday, November 17, 2001 at The Center for Optimum Care in Wakefield, MA
John was born in Wakefield, MA and was a graduate of Wakefield High School Class of 1949. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp, serving during the Korean Conflict. When he was discharged from the service he enrolled in Bentley College in Waltham and received a degree in accounting. He then worked as an auditor with H.P. Hood Co. in Charlestown for five years, before going to work for Jordan Marsh Dept. Stores of Boston and Braintree, where he worked for 27 years, retiring in 1992. John was an avid sports enthusiast and followed the Boston Red Sox & Celtics. He also loved to travel and was an avid photographer. John was a resident of Malden, MA for the last 45 years.
He is survived by his sons, John A. Le Blanc and James P. Le Blanc both of Malden, MA, one daughter, Joyce N. Morrell of Half Moon Bay, CA. His brothers Walter Le Blanc of LA, Louis Le Blanc of CA, James Le Blanc of Reading, Charles Le Blanc of CA. His grandchildren, Jennifer Le Blanc, John Le Blanc IV, Julie Le Blanc and Andrew Morrell and his former wife Joan (Harnois) Le Blanc, of Malden
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Le Blanc and Wilfred Le Blanc.
He was born October 24, 1931 in Wakefield, MA the son of the late John and Annie (Du long) Le Blanc Sr. He served in the Marines during Korean Conflict having attained the rank of Corporal. He enlisted on October 21, 1951 at Squantam, MA and was discharged on October 21, 1953 at Cherry Point, NC

Geraldine "Freda" LeBlanc
Geraldine "Freda" (Winters) LeBlanc, 91, a retired owner of the Holden Rest Home, where she worked for 20 years, died Tuesday, August 07, 2001 at Melrose Nursing and Rehab Center in Melrose. Geraldine was born in Norton, and moved to Everett at an early age. She was educated in the Everett School Systems. After High School, she went to work at the Naval Yard in Charlestown, assisting in the home front war effort in WWII. There she was involved in the production of ropes. Following the war, she worked for a short time at Revere Knitting Mills, before going to work at the Holden Rest Home. Starting as an employee, she eventually purchased the business in 1954. She ran the rest home until 1967, when she sold it so she could dedicate her time to raising her family.
She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Malden. She was involved with the church and assisted in various functions. In 1990, at the age of 80, she transferred to the Green Street Baptist Church in Melrose, and remained a dedicated member there as well. She also attended a local knitting club at the Milano Senoir Center. Other hobbies included crocheting and reading. Freda lived in Melrose, Massachusetts for the past 13 years and was previously had lived in Malden for 50 years.
She is survived by son Ernest LeBlanc of Malden, daughter Rosalie J. D'Agostino of Melrose, sister Edith Morse of Melrose, her grandchildren Debbie, Billy, Russell, Steven, Brian, and Sandy, and also 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest, her father Angus Winters, and her mother Evalina Bretten, and several brothers and sisters.
She was born October 05, 1909 in Norton, Massachusetts the daughter of Angus and Evalina (Bretten) Winters.

David Lowell LeCain
David L. LeCain, 66, died suddenly Monday morning, July 5, 2004 at the Dexter House Nursing Home in Malden, MA. David was born in Medford, MA and educated in Malden. He was a member of the Park St. Church in Boston for many years and was employed as a cook for Filene's Department Store Restaurant in Boston and later worked for Tia's, Hayes and Bickfords Restaurants in Boston. He was employed in the industry for forty-two years and retired in 1993. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, Member of USS Constitution Museum, and was a Civil War enthusiast and stamp collector. Mr. LeCain lived in Malden for most of his and was a former resident of 14 Elliot St., Malden.
He is survived by his sister, Muriel E. "Betty" Lockhart of Malden, his brother-in-law Harry S. Lockhart of Malden, and two nieces and one nephews and three great nieces and three great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Lowell LeCain, and his mother Margaret LeCain.
He was born September 5, 1937 in Medford, MA the son of the late Lowell and Margaret (Shaw) LeCain.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 8th. in the Weir Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden at 11 AM, with the Rev. Robert Mackie of the Mystic Side Congregational Church, Everett officiating. Cremation will follow in the Woodlawn Crematory, Everett.
Charles F. "Charlie". Leason, Jr
Charles F. Leason, Jr., 69, died suddenly at his retirement home in Palmyra, ME on Wednesday, July 13, 2005. Born in Sarasota, FL, the son of the late Charles F. Sr. and May I. (Clark) Leason. Charlie was raised in Melrose and attended the local schools, until his father’s illness forced him to leave school and find work to help his family. He later enlisted with the National Guard and served for 3 years. Charlie became a welder, and worked at various shops including Space Metal and Engine, L.L.O., and Artic in throughout his life until he retired. Charlie was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed collecting firearms. He also had a fascination with science fiction. Charlie had lived in Palmyra, Maine for the past four years.
He is survived by his wife Dolores C. of Malden, his children, Charles F. Leason, III of Laconia, NH, Elizabeth M. Giunta of Malden, Linda A. Doucette of Woburn, and Brenda L. Leason of Everett, his siblings, Robert Leason of Stoneham, Katherine Heir of FL, Mary Jo Leason of CO, David Leason of Lynn, and Marjorie Colon of Woburn, as well as twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Cross.
Funeral Services will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. MALDEN on Mon. July 18th at 8:45 AM. for a Mass fo Christian Burial in the St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellway West, Medford, at 10:00 AM. Rev. Joseph R. Foster, Pastor of St. Francis in Medford will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sun. July 17th from 4 to 8 PM.
Bernice Margaret Leazott
Bernice Margaret (Connolly) Leazott, longtime resident of Malden, died Sunday, August 12, 2001 at Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center in Medford. Bernice was born and educated in Arlington. After completing school, she was employed as an administrative assistant for John Hancock Ins. Co of Boston. After her marriage, she resided in Everett for a brief period before settling in Malden over 50 years ago. Bernice was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Malden. Mrs. Leazott lived in Malden, Massachusetts for over 50 years.
She is survived by her daughter Carol A. Carlisle, of Malden, sons Robert L. Florentino of Saugus and John C. Leazott of W. Peabody, and grandchildren Amy L. Boisvert of VA, Alison E. Carlisle of Malden, Mary Ellen Florentino of Everett, Tori E. Leazott of W. Peabody, Jared C. Leazott of W. Peabody, and Robert K. Florentino of Everett.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her father Arthur Connolly, and her mother Thelma Burkland.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 16, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home. Rev. Nancy LeBlanc of Hospice Care of Stoneham will be officiating. Burial will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
John L. Legon
John Louis Legon, 87, a longtime resident of Malden, died Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. John was born in England, after his Parents fled from Belgium in WWI. By the age of 2 he had moved to the Boston area with his family, and they soon settled in Malden where John was raised and educated. John worked as a tool and die maker for the Car Fastener Company, and worked with them for over 30 years until his retirement 20 years ago. John was an athletic outgoing person who play all sports growing up, and was an avid skier as well.
He is survived by his sons, John L. Legon Jr. and Robert K. Legon of Malden, his brother, Frank E. Legon of Hudson, NH, and his nieces, Susan A. Graham of Amesbury, Norma J. Foster of Pepperell, and Judith E. Emmanuel of Goode, VA.
He was preceded in death by his wife Norma C.(Lessey), his parents, Frank J. and Anna (Armirotto) Legon, and his brother Peter Legon.
George A. Leidinger, Jr
George Alfred Leidinger, Jr died Sunday, November 27, 2005 at his home in Lynn, he was 65. Born in Malden on June 24, 1940, he was the son of the late George A. and Laurita (Anderson) Leidinger. George was raised in Malden and graduated from Malden High School with the Class of 1957. He worked for many years as a construction worker with the Everett Aluminum Co. until his retirement in the late 1990’s. George enjoyed playing cards and watching football. He also loved to make model ships, cars, and other things but what he really loved was his family and job. George lived in Lynn for over twenty years and was formerly from Malden.
He is survived by his children, Cynthia and her husband, Luis Martinez of Lynn, Theresa, and her husband John Brant of Crestview, FL, George A. and his wife Luz Aida Leidinger, III of Lynn, and his daughter-in-law, Darlene Keating of Florida. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren as well as eight nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son Edward Keating and his sister Carole A. Finn.
Visitation will be held at the Weir~MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home 144 Salem Street Malden on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 from 5 to 9 PM.
Funeral services will be held at a later date. Cremation will take in Woodlawn Crematory, Everett.

Clyde S Leman
Clyde S Leman, 92, a retired manager, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Stoneham, MA. Clyde was born in Boston and educated in Everett schools. When he graduated from Everett High School he went to work for the Boston Five Cents Savings Bank where he was employed for over forty years and when he retired in 1974 he was the Manager of Customer Service. He was a faithful member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Malden for over fifty years where he served as an usher for many years. He has resided in Malden for fifty seven years having moved here from Everett in 1944.
He is survived by his sons; Robert C. Leman of Malden and Kent S. Leman of Dedham five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Edna (Roe), his brothers Arthur Leman of Melrose, Cecil Leman of NY, Harry Leman of Everett his sisters Gladys Leman, of Everett Madge Mac Lean of Everett, and Stella Wilson of Everett.
He was born May 25, 1909 in Boston, Massachusetts the son of the late George and Anna (Croft) Leman.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Thursday, June 7th from 4-8 PM.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 8, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 26 Washington St. Malden with the Rev. J.C. Woods Rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
