George David Mallett Sr.
George David Mallett, 73, passed away quietly at his home in Malden on Saturday, May 10th. George was born and raised in Malden. He graduated from Malden High School with the class of 1948. Following his graduation, he attended Franklin Tech College for an additional 2 years. At the age of 23, he married his sweetheart, Priscilla F. Lane, and the two would share the next 50 years together.
George had worked for short times at GE, and also with the Sandhogger's Union, Local #13 where he assisted in the construction of the Callahan Tunnel, Sumner Tunnel, and the Quabin Reseviour Tunnel System. From there he worked for the Continental Can Company, and was an employee there until the plant closed in the late 80's. Following that, he took employment with the city of Malden in the Department of Public Works. He worked of the city until his retirement in 1998.
George had been a member of the Lodge of Sterling since 1969. He also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and bowling, but his greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Mallett was a lifelong resident of Malden.
He is survived by his wife Priscilla F. (Lane) Mallett of Malden, his children, George D. Mallett Jr. of Eagle, ID, Linda J. Clouse of Woburn, Susan L. Mallett) of Malden, and James C. Mallett of Malden, his brothers William Mallett of New Hampshire and Richard Mallett of Malden, his sister Marjorie Gonsalves of Malden, his grandchildren Robert Duggan, James K, Mallett, James Lynn, Danielle Lynn, and Stephan Clouse, and his great grandson, James K. Mallett Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Marjorie Hilton, his sister Evelyn Lawlor, and his brother John A. Mallet.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Monday, May 12th, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at 9:30 A.M. at Weir - Mac Cuish Funeral Home. Rev. John Conn of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Woburn will be officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.

Dorothy Mary Maloney
Dorothy M. Maloney, 73, a retired shoe packer for the Converse Rubber Co. of Malden, where she worked for 22 years, died Wednesday, December 6, 2000 at Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett, MA after a long illness. Mrs. Maloney had been a life long resident of Malden. Mrs. Maloney retired from Converse Rubber in 1984.
She is survived by her daughter Carol A. Canan and son-in-law Kenneth W. Canan of Malden, a brother Clarence Ruden of NH, two granddaughters, Samanthia A. Jones of Lynn and Tabitha A. Jones of Malden also a great-grandson, Caleb J. Hobart of Lynn.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph P. Maloney, and her father Segurd Ruden, and her mother Elizabeth Edgar.
She was born May 16, 1927 in Malden, MA
Visitation will be held at Weir–MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, on Thursday, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8, 2000 at 11:00 A.M. at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home. The Rev. Martha A. Dominy of First Baptist Church, Malden will be officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.

James Mandolo
James Mandolo, 81, a longtime resident of Malden, died Friday, October 29, 2004 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. James was born and raised in Italy, one of four children. He worked as a ship builder and built many large vessels, including the Andrea Dore. In 1958, he came to the US where he married Catherine A. Franzi. The two would share many years together in Medford before moving to Malden 40 years ago.
After coming to the US, he took employment with the Kennelly Meat Market in Boston. He worked there until a disability forced his early retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine A. (Franzi) Mandolo of Malden, his sister in law, Eva Waltman of Medford, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Tuesday, November 2, from 4-8 PM.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at 9:00 A.M. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. Joseph's Church. Rev. William J. Minigan, Pastor of St. Joseph's Church will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.

Jane Bowey Mann
Jane B. (Mitchell) Mann, 86, a housewife and a long time volunteer for the Malden Red Cross Association, died Sunday morning, September 8, 2002 at her home in Malden. Mrs. Mann had resided in Malden for 63 years and was previously from Everett.
Jane was a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1935. After high school she married Trueman B. Mann and they resided in Everett for a short while and later moved to Malden in 1939. Mrs. Mann raised her three sons and also helped her husband run his business, the T. B. Mann Contracting of Malden.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas T. Mann, of Malden, Bruce J. Mann of Stoneham and Trueman B. Mann Jr of Malden and her sister Ann Holt of Peabody. She was also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Trueman B. Mann Sr., her father Thomas Mitchell, and her mother Marion MacKenzie.
She was born May 7, 1916 in Everett, MA, the daughter of the late Thomas and Marion (MacKenzie) Mitchell.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home 144 Salem St. Malden on Tuesday, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home. The Rev. James Cox of Centre United Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden. Mervyn Judson Mann
Mervyn Judson Mann, 90, a retired carpenter, died Monday, December 10, 2001 at his home in Malden, MA, while under Hospice Care. He was born in Voglers Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada and came to the United States as a child where his family settled in Malden and he completed his education. He was inducted into the U.S. Army in June of 1942 serving in England, Germany and France and participated in the invasion of Normandy with the 5th General Hospital as a Private First Class. When he was discharged in 1945 he returned to Malden and went to work as a carpenter for his brother in the T.B. Mann & Sons Carpenters of Malden. He was employed there for thirty -three years until his retirement in 1978. He was a member of the Centre United Methodist Church of Malden, the Carpenters Union Local # 218 of Medford and just two weeks ago received the Liberation de la France Medal from France for his participation in the Invasion of Normandy. Mr. Mann lived in Malden, Massachusetts for 70 years and was previously from Canada.
He is survived by his daughter Joan C. & her husband David Cirino of Malden, his grandchildren, Sheri Ann & Louis DiStefano of TX, and Stephanie Ann Gray of Malden, his great-grandchildren Stephen & Emma DiStefano of TX and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. .
He was preceded in death by his wife Ina, (Daggett) Mann of Malden, his brother Clyde O. Mann, his brother Trueman B. Mann, Sr both formerly of Malden., his sister Kathleen Mann and his brother Wilbur Mann both formerly of Canada.
He was born August 11, 1911 in Voglers Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada the devoted son of the late Loraine and Alfretta (Conrad) Mann

Betty Margey
Betty Margey, a retired secretary, for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Revenue, where she worked for fifteen years, died Thursday, June 30, 2005 after a short illness at the Mass General Hospital in Boston. Betty was born in Malden and educated in Malden school system. Betty worked as an graphic artist for a few years and later was employed with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Revenue.
She had been a resident of Revere for the last fifteen years and was formerly of Everett and Malden. Betty was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and loved to travel with her husband. Betty and Michael were married in St. George's Greek Orthodox Church in Lynn on September 20, 1981.
She is survived by her husband Michael J. Margey of Revere, and her brother Nicholas Belisis of Harwich, and her niece Janet LaBonte of Harwich.
She was preceded in death by her father Christos Belisis, and her mother Sophia Karigianis, and her brother Christy Belisis.
Visitation will be held at the Weir - MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St. Malden on Thursday from 5-9 PM

John Roland Marino
John Roland Marino, 47, lifelong resident of Malden, died Sunday, April 13, 2003 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, Massachusetts. John was born and raised in Malden. He attended the Cotting School for the Handicapped and graduated from high school there. After high school, he ended up taking employment with Comco Plastics in Saugus, and worked in the Shipping and Receiving department. He worked there until the plant closed this past year. John was also a dedicated lifelong member of the Irish American, as well as being recognized as a past Member of the Year.
He is survived by his mother Ruth E. (Brennan) Marino, his sister Ruth Ellen Marino, his brother Michael J. Marino, his sister Margaret L. Choiniere, his brother Daniel J. Marino, his sister Terri A. Marino, and his niece Marsha A. Pitteroff.
He was preceded in death by his father, A. Joseph Marino, and his sister Karen J. Marino.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 17, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home. Father John Leonard, formerly of Sacred Hearts Church, Malden, and currently the Pastor of St. Ann's of W. Newbury will be officiating.

Rocco Martone
Rocco Martone, 78, a retired machinist, died suddenly, Saturday, October 7th ,at the Winchester Hospital in Winchester, MA. Rocco was born and educated in Avellino, Italy and after completing his education served with the Italian Army during WW II. In 1952 he immigrated to the United States and settled in Malden. He went to work as a machinist for the Hub Folding Box Co. of Boston and brought his family to Malden from Italy in 1954. He retired from the Hub Folding Box Co. in 1973after working there for over twenty years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church of Malden, St. Rocco's Society of Boston and the Arlington Sons of Italy. Mr. Martone lived in Malden, MA for forty eight year and was previously from Italy.
He is survived by his wife Mary (Gesa) Martone of Malden, his daughter, Lina De Simone of Revere, his son, Pat J. Martone of Malden, his son, Nicolas T. Martone of Malden, his daughter, Angie M. Lampron of Groveland, his sister, Catherine Pannese of Revere, his brother, Ralph Martone of Arlington and his sister, Mary Iacoviello of Melrose.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Anthony Martone of Malden and Manuel Martone of Wakefield.
He was born February 22, 1922 in Avellino, Italy the son of the late Pasquale and Michelina (Guiggio) Martone.
Visitation will be held at Weir MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Monday from 7-9 PM and on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

JOHN PETER “BUCKY” MATHESON
Matheson, John Peter “BUCKY,” 77, of Malden, entered into rest Friday, May 03, 2002, in Melrose. He was born on May 05, 1924; last Sunday would have been his 78th birthday. Bucky was a lifelong resident of the Malden/Melrose community. Like many others of his time, he left school early to enlist in the Army and help fight in WWII. A meaningful portion of his time was spent fighting in France with George Patton’s Third Army.
Bucky was a true sports enthusiast. After the war he became a professional baseball pitcher for the Hartford Chiefs, the AAA Minor League Team of the Boston Braves. He was also a former professional middleweight boxer, with over 20 wins and one loss to his credit. His greatest passion was football, and it was fate that his home team finally prevailed in the last Super-Bowl of his lifetime.
Bucky drove trucks for many years for the Eagle Can Company, and also joined the Teamsters local #25. From there he became a founding partner of Malden’s Ace Taxi Company, and drove a cab there for several years. During his retirement years he helped care for mentally challenged children by driving them to school and bringing them happiness with his warm personality. Bucky’s life touched thousands of others during his time with us.
Bucky will survive through his proud son, John Peter Matheson, Esq., 27, of Malden. He was the husband of Ann E. Matheson, and stepfather of John and Scott E. McGrath, all of Malden. Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Thursday from 6-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held from the Weir Funeral Home on Friday, May 10th, 2002 at 9:15 A.M., followed by graveside services at Forest Dale Cemetery. The graveside service will be at 10 A.M. at Forest Dale Cemetery, Forest Street, Malden. Bucky’s son and family will hold a reception in his memory following his burial.

Elizabeth Eleanor Mattsen
Elizabeth Eleanor Mattsen, 75, a retired bookkeeper, died Saturday, February 24th, at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA. Elizabeth was born and educated in Malden graduating from Malden High School with the Class of "43". When she completed high school she went to work for the City of Malden as a bookkeeper in the treasurers office. She was a lifelong resident of the City of Malden and a Member of the First Lutheran Church of Malden.
She is survived by, her husband, Richard C. Mattsen of Malden, her daughters, Barbara E. Grace of Malden and Nancy J. Jones of Saugus, her son, Paul R. Mattsen of Westford, six grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her father Walter Nicholson, and her mother Eleanor (Reynolds) Nicholson.
She was born December 4, 1925 in Malden, Massachusetts the daughter of the late Walter and Eleanor (Reynolds) Nicholson. Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM

Richard C. Mattsen
Richard C. Mattsen, 79, a mechanical insulator for New England Insulation, where he worked for 40 years, died Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at the Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston, MA. Dick was born in Everett and educated in Malden schools. He was drafted into the U.S. Navy during W.W. II serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatres. He received the WW II Victory Medal, American Theatre and Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Medals. Dick was a retired mechanical insulator working mostly at power plants and hospital jobs in the Boston area. He was a member of the Heat & Frost Insulators & Asbestos Workers Union, Local # 6 Boston, MA. He worked for the New England Insulation Co. in Canton for forty years and retired in 1986. He was a long time member of the First Lutheran Church in Malden and the brother hood of the church. He was the caption of his bowling league and served on many boards at the church. He enjoyed following the Boston sports teams in spare time. Dick was a life long resident of Malden.
He is survived by his daughters, Barbara E. Grace of Malden, Nancy J. Jones of Saugus, and his son, Paul R. Mattsen of Westford.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth, his father Lars Mattsen, his mother Emelia (Wyberg) Mattsen., and his brother Stanley A. Mattsen.
He was born March 7, 1925 in Everett, Massachusetts the son of the late Lars and Emelia (Wyberg) Mattsen. He served in the Navy during World War II having attained the rank of Carpenter's Mate 3rd Class and enlisted on May 19, 1943 at Newport, RI discharged on February 9, 1946 at Boston, MA

John Emilio Mattucci
John Emilio Mattucci, 55, of Florida, formerly a longtime resident of Melrose, died Friday, June 03, 2005 at his home in Port St. Lucie, Florida. John was born in Stoneham and then raised and educated in Melrose. Shortly after high school, he enlisted in the US Navy and served aboard the Air Craft Carrier USS America (CV66), the sister ship of the J.F.K.(CV67) during the Vietnam War. Upon returning to the states after the war, John served a few more years in the reserves. John was a avid lover of horses, and thoughout his life owned many.
He was the beloved husband of Rose Ann (Moratta). Cherished father of Paul A. Mattucci of NH, Jennifer Gomes of Methuen, and Paula M. Mattucci of Revere. Cherished grandfather of Daniel, Paul-Mark, Erica, Alexander, and Stephanie., his mother Phillys, his brothers Anthony and Mark, and his sister Lisa.
He was preceded in death by his father Emilio Mattucci, and his sister Lisa.
He served in the Navy during Vietnam Era having attained the rank of AN. enlisted on June 2, 1971 at Melrose, MA discharged on March 26, 1973 at Bainbridge, MD.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday June 16, 2005 at 8:00 A.M. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 A.M in the Immaculate Conception Church. Father Richard J. Mehm Pastor of Immaculate Conception Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.

Mary Camille Mc Fall
Mary Camille (Goguen) Mc Fall, 78, died Monday evening, April 21, 2003 at the Life Care Center of Stoneham. Mary was born in Somerville and educated in the Somerville School system. Mary was a resident of Somerville until 1956 when she moved with her family to Malden. She resided in Malden for the last 46 years. She worked as a machinist for Sexton Can Co. of Everett for fifteen years and retired in 1978. Mrs. Mc Fall was a longtime communicates of St. Joseph's Church. She loved to travel in her spare time and enjoyed all her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons Dennis M. Mc Fall of Stoneham, Robert K. Mc Fall of Millerplace, NY her daughters, Sheila M. Rogers of Tyngsboro and Judith A. Donoghue of Malden and her sisters, June Murphy of Salem, OH, Lorraine Shea of West Concord, MA she is also survived by twenty-eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Mc Fall, her father Albert Goguen and her mother Marie (LaFrance) Goguen, and her brother Albert Goguen and her son Timothy S. Mc Fall formerly of Malden.
Visiting hours will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Wednesday April 23 from 4-8 PM.

Norman " Rusty" E. Mc Intire
Norman E. "Rusty" Mc Intire, 80, a retired plant foreman for Sterling - Clark- Lorton Corp., where he worked for 23 years died Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at New England Rehabilitation Hospital in Woburn, MA Norman was born in Stoneham and educated in Reading and after completing school enlisted in the U.S. Army when WWII broke out.
He served in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theaters receiving the Purple Heart in combat in France. He remained in the US Army for twenty years also serving during the Korean Conflict retiring in 1962. Upon his discharge he went on to work for Sterling-Clark- Lorton Corp. of Malden and retired in 1985. He then worked for the Malden Trust Co. of Malden for five years as a currier. Norman also did volunteer work at the Malden Hospital for many years. Mr. Mc Intire lived in Malden, MA for 41 years and was previously from Reading.
He is survived by his wife Hedwig M. (Gaertner) Mc Intire, his brother Edward D. McIntire of Reading, MA, his sister-in-law Mary Mc Intire of Tewksbury, his brother-in-law's Erich Gaertner of Germany, and L. Harold Peterson of Wakefield, MA. He was also survived by several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Clarence E. Mc Intire, his mother Elsie M. Brown, his brothers Herbert E. Mc Intire, Richard A. Mc Intire, and his sister Edna Peterson.
He was born October 25, 1920 in Stoneham, MA the son of the late Clarence and Elsie (Brown) Mc Intire. He served in the Army during World War II having attained the rank of SP5 (E-5). He enlisted on September 17, 1940 at Boston, MA and was discharged on November 30, 1962 at Ft. Banks, MA

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home. The Rev. James W. Knowles will be officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Glen Cemetery in Reading.

Robert Stephen Mc Andrews
Robert Stephen Mc Andrews, 65, a retired dental technician for the United States Navy, died suddenly Sunday, August 04, 2002 at Lahey-Hitchcock Clinic in Burlington. Robert was born in NY, and at and early age he moved to Hungary. At the age of 12 he moved back to the US, and settled in Florida. There he completed his education, graduating Edgewater H.S.
After high school, he enlisted in the Navy, and fought in the Viet Nam War. He began his career with the navy working with refrigeration, and eventually became a Dental Technician. After over 20 years in the Navy he retired from the Military. To keep busy after his retirement, he worked for the Boston Metro News Co, at both Malden Station and Wellington Station.
For the past 20 years Robert was a very active member of Club 24 on Salem St. in Malden. He ran the kitchen at the club for quite some time, and would often volunteer on Thanksgiving to help feed the homeless. He also traveled around in to detox centers and prisons counsuling people on the dangers and effects of alcoholism. Robert had a great love of animals as well, giving time and money ot local shelters.
He is survived by his wife Adele M. (Tenerielli) of Malden, his son Michael B. and his wife Dawn M. Mc Andrews of Beverly, and of Beverly, his granddaughter Miranda L. Abramovich, and Ethel Tenerielli, who he thought of as a mother. He was preceded in death by Ethel's Husband, The late Rico Tenerielli.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 8, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.

Patricia Agnes McCallion
Patricia A. McCallion, 77, died Monday, April 25, 2005 at Sancta Maria Nursing Facility in Cambridge, MA. Pat was born in Boston and educated in the Newton schools and Sacred Hearts Catholic School. After high school Pat was employed as a sales clerk at Sears, Roebucks & Co. and Woolworth Department store in Boston. She later took employment with the Raytheon Corporation of Quincy as an electronics worker and worked for forty-two years until her retirement in 1993. She was a long time communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Malden and was a member of the twenty-five year club of Raytheon. Miss McCallion had lived in Malden for over sixty years.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father John J. McCallion, her mother, Agnes T. Lafferty, her brothers Neil and John McCallion.
At the request of the family visitation has been omitted.

Funeral will be held from the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Thursday, April 28th. at 12 noon followed by a Mass of Christian burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 1PM. Fr. George C. Hines of Immaculate Conception Church will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Needham.

James Louis McCoy
James Louis McCoy, 84, of Medford, formerly of Malden, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer. James was born in Rockport, IN, where he was raised and educated. He graduated as the Valedictorian of Rockport High School's Class of 1937.
Shortly after high school he enlisted in the US Navy, where he fought in WWII. He served aboard both the USS Langley and the USS Savannah, the latter of which sustained heavy damage under enemy fire and lost almost 250 servicemen in battle. After six years of service in the Navy, James was discharged at the rank of Chief Boatswains Mate and was awarded three stars for his service in the war.
During one shore leave, he met his sweetheart, Helen Sullivan, and the two were soon married. After discharge from the service, he moved to the Boston area to join Helen. The two settled in Malden, and shared almost 40 years together until her passing in 1982.
After moving to Malden, James began his tenure as a firefighter at Logan Airport. He worked as a fireman for 30 years, and retired as a Crew Chief in 1980.
James was a past member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie #893 of Malden. He was also a longtime dedicated volunteer at the Malden Senior Center. He was an avid gardener, and would often give away homegrown vegetables and flowers to friends and family. He was loved by all who knew him. He was a warm, caring person who was always giving of himself.
He is survived by his son Timothy J. McCoy and his wife Carol of Peabody, his daughter Patricia A. Peluso and her husband Joseph of Medford, his son Robert G. McCoy Sr. of Middleton, his sisters Esther Burkhart and Mary Katherine Carter of Indiana, his grandchildren: Craig Peluso, Danielle Peluso, Jason McCoy, Brad McCoy, Lauren McCoy, Robert McCoy Jr., Keri McCoy, Amanda McCoy, and a great-grandson Joseph McCoy. He was also a very dear friend of Netta Festa and Betty Moore.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen (Sullivan), his parents William and Amanda (Hammond) McCoy, and his brother Granville McCoy.
Donations in James' memory may be made to the Malden Senior Center, 200 Pleasant St., Rm. 201, Malden, MA 02148 or to Hallmark Health Hospice, 100 Hospital Road, Malden MA 02148.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Friday from 4 - 8 PM.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 17, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Cox will be officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.

George Francis McCullough
George Francis McCullough, 54, a retired owner of Crescent Tool in Wakefield, died Tuesday, June 25, at his home in Peabody. George was born in Cambridge, the son of George and Mary (Mulligan) McCullough. He was raised in Wakefield, and attended the Wakefield School Systems. After high school, he enlisted in the Army to help fight in the Vietnam War. He became a Green Beret, and attained the rank of Sgt. before returning to the states. He was also awarded the Gallantry Cross with Palm for his bravery and dedicated service.
Shortly after returning to the States, he opened Crescent Tool, his own machine shop, in Wakefield. He was an extremely skilled machinist, and could build virtually anything. He successfully ran the business for over ten years, until his disabilities stemming from his military service forced him to sell the machine shop. Mr. McCullough lived in Peabody, for the past 20 years.
He is survived by his father, George W. McCullough of Malden, his sister Susan J. McCullough of Waltham, his nephew Mathew Gomes of Waltham, and his brother in law, Richard Gomes of Taunton.
Funeral Services will be private.

Ruth Lillias McDermod
Ruth Lillias McDermod 80, a housewife, died Friday, April 13, 2001 at Elmhurst Nursing Home in Melrose, MA Mrs. McDermod was born in Somerville and at an early age moved to Malden. She had been a resident of Wakefield for the last 4 years, and was formerly from Malden were she lived most of her life.
She was educated in the Malden School system and after completing school she worked at the Larson Tool & Die Co. in Malden during WWII.
Ruth was a very devoted homemaker and a great cook. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to all. She loved to do crafts and would later give them as gifts to her loving family. She was known as a great organizer and was an active supporter of the American Lung Association.
She is survived by her husband Retired Malden Fire Fighter James M. Mc Dermod of Wakefield. Two daughters, Barbara Jean Sweezey of Londonderry, NH and Nancy L. Bruno of Boca Raton, FL, one son, Stephen J. McDermod of Wakefield, MA, two sisters, Esther Orcutt of New Market, NH & Audrey Kimpton of South Easton, MA, She was also survived by six grandchildren, Joseph D. Bruno of Natick, MA, Christopher D. Sweezey of Windham, NH, Lauri A. Casey of Needham, MA, Michael J. Sweezey of Lowell, MA, Vicki M. Bruno of Needham, MA, and Douglas M. Sweezey of Wakefield, MA and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father Carl Potter, and her mother Lillias Durning.
She was born August 14, 1920 in Somerville, MA the daughter of the late Carl and Lillias (Durning) Potter.
Visitation will be held at Weir -MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM

Frances Theresa Mc Donald
Frances Theresa (Carroll) Mc Donald, 75, died Friday, December 3, 2004 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA. Frances was born and educated in Boston schools. She settled in Malden after her marriage to Robert J. Mc Donald, Sr. thirty eight years ago. She was employed by the Malden School Department as a cafeteria worker at Malden High School for over twelve years and was a member of Sacred Hearts Parish in Malden and was an avid member of Marriage Encounters Group through the Catholic Church. She also enjoyed roller skating and bowling. Mrs. Mc Donald lived in Malden, MA for the past thirty eight years and was previously from Boston.
She is survived by her husband Robert J. Mc Donald, Sr. of Malden, her daughter Maureen E. Dalton of Malden, her daughter, Nancy A. Pierce of Everett, her daughter, Roberta J., and her husband, Joseph Di Girolamo of Malden, her son, Robert J. Jr. and his wife Patricia McDonald, of Haverhill, her daughter Joanne M. and her husband Chau Tran of Malden her sister, Cindy Casaletto of Everett, and thirteen grandchildren seven great grandchildren.
She was born February 27, 1929 in Boston, Massachusetts the daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (Walsh) Carroll.

Virginia Alys Mac Donald
Virginia Alys Mac Donald, 74, a retired legal secretary for Attorneys Lloyd and Donald Conn,, where she worked for almost 20 years, died Saturday, September 23, 2000 at Center for Optimum Care in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Virginia was born in Everett, and raised and educated in Malden. She graduated with Malden High Schools class of 1943. She then entered Burdette College and became a Legal Secretary. For almost 20 years, she worked with the father and son team of Lloyd and Donald Conn, and she assisted on the prosecution team for the case against the Boston Strangler. She retired 10 years ago, and enjoyed her leisure time with her husband Rod, and her grandchildren Cory and Brooke. Mrs. Mac Donald lived in Melrose, Massachusetts for 40 Years and was previously from Malden.
She is survived by her husband Roderick, daughter, Rev. Jean Mac Donald, and grandchildren Cory Mac Donald-Powden & Brooke Mac Donald-Powden.
She was born November 30, 1925 in Everett, Massachusetts the daughter of Fritz and Dorothy (Beasley) Berg.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Rev. Ann Hockridge of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, VT, will be officiating.

Kathleen Ann McFarland
Kathleen Ann McFarland, 55, of Melrose, formerly of Everett and Malden, died Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. Kathleen was born & educated in Everett. She was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1968. After high school she went on to become a hairdresser. She later started with the New England Telephone Co. in Boston until they became Verizon Telephone Co. She was promoted to supervisor and later moved on from the Malden office. She would retire in 1997 after 28 years of service. Kathleen continued on as a hair stylist in her part-time, working at various hair salons in the Everett area. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking and knitting. She also loved to travel to the Island of Aruba, and vacationing on Cape Cod .
She is survived by her parents, Thomas and Muriel (Demers) McFarland Sr. of Melrose, her sisters, Muriel L. Fallon of Malden, Patricia M. Stornanti of Medford and Mary L. McFarland of Gorham, ME, her brothers Thomas W. McFarland of Winchester, Stephen J. McFarland of Groton, and Kevin A. McFarland of South Lake, TX, as well as 10 Nieces and Nephews, and 6 Grand Nieces & Nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Friday, Dec 16th, from 3 -7 PM

Florence V. McLay
Florence V. ( Mason) McLay, 97, died Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Epoch Senior Care Center in Melrose, MA Florence was born in the Brookline and was educated in the Cambridge school system, she was a graduate of Cambridge High and Latin School. She moved to Malden in 1947 and was a resident for the last fifty-seven years. She was a licensed nurse and worked for many years
at the Malden Hospital and later as a private duty nurse. She was a member of the Gray Ladies Association and was a life long member of the Malden Ladies Aid of the Malden Hospital. Mrs. McLay was active with the Fourth of July Amerige Park Committee, in Malden. Florence was a Mormon and an active member with the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, in Revere were she served on many committees and was a member for the last forty-five years. Florence was well known from her daily walks around the Fellsmere Pond
Park in Malden, where she loved to walk her dogs and catch up on the latest news with friends.
She is survived by her daughters Janet M. Vardaro of Malden, Donna L. Morgan of Utah and Linda Jane Thyberg of FL her son’s John R. McLay of CT and Lawrence M. McLay of Utah, She was the cherished grandmother of twenty-two grandchildren and forty-one great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband John McLay, her father William Mason, her mother Jeanette Card, and her brother Kenneth Lloyd Mason.
She was born July 17, 1906 in Boston, Massachusetts the daughter of the late William and Jeanette (Card) Mason.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem St., Malden on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday April 29, 2004, at 11 AM in the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
