Tara Marie Tamasi
Tara Marie (Newman) Tamasi, 40, died peacefully at home Tuesday, April 05 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Tara was born in Queens, NY, and at an early age moved to Malden where she was raised and educated. She graduated from Malden H.S. with the class of 1983, before attending Franklin Pierce College, where she received her Bachelors Degree. She was working for the Dufrense-Henry Marketing Firm as a Marketing editor. She was also a skilled writer who wrote books and screenplays.
She is survived by her Fiance', Joseph Petruzzella of Saugus, her mother, Virginia (Fennell) and husband Edward Roach of Randolph, her father Thomas Van Allen, her sisters, Patricia Newman of Malden, Kathleen Millerick and husband Henry of Saugus, and Maureen Sullivan and husband Stephen of Chicago, her brother Thomas Newman of Malden, and her niece and godchild, Fallon Millerick.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Thursday, April 7th, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Frances Tanso
Frances Tanso, 101, a longtime resident of Malden, died Thursday, May 12, 2005 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. Frances was born and raised in Boston, the last of eight children. After high school, she married her sweetheart, Michael Tanso. The two settled in Medford to raise their family, and had moved to Malden 65 years ago. She worked as a candy dipper for the Williams Candy Company in Somerville for many years. She later became the manager for her nephews catering company, Arthur's Catering of Medford.
Frances was a very giving person who supported many religious charities. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining company, welcoming people with her "open door" policy and making sure they were fed before they left. Frances was also a voracious reader, who would read just about anything she could get her hands on.
She is survived by her sons, Robert M. Tanso of Malden, and Henry P. Tanso of Everett, her daughter, Florence Matonis of Malden, twelve grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Michael T. Tanso, her parents Generusso and Angelina (Serino) Lanzillo, and her 7 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Tuesday, May 15th, from 4-9 PM.

Audrey Gwendolyn Taylor
Audrey Gwendolyn Taylor, 70, a longtime resident of Everett, died Monday, December 06, 2004 at Woodbriar Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington, Massachusetts. Audrey was born in Revere, MA, after her parents settled there having come from Newfoundland, Canada. She grew up in Revere and graduated from Revere High School with the Class of 1952. She moved to Everett after marrying her sweetheart, Edward Taylor, and the two would share over 40 years together raising their family.
After high school, She went to work managing the family business, Clarence Patten Inc, a steel construction company in Revere. She worked there for 25 years until the business closed. She then took employment with Index Systems INC, as an Information Technologist, and worked there until her retirement in 1993.
Audrey was very active in her church, the Trinity Evangelical Church of N. Reading, and participated in the Keenagers, as well as the Women's Bible study group of the church. She also enjoyed crafts including knitting and crocheting, but truly her greatest joy was her family.
She is survived by her husband Edward Taylor of Everett, MA, her son, Edward Taylor II of North Reading, MA, her daughter Ruth Taylor White of Everett, her sisters Daisy Flurry of Everett and Ina Pottle of Seabrook, NH, and her grandchildren, Linsey Tayor White, Elizabeth Ashley Taylor, and Edward Baldwin Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ethel (Porter) Patten.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Wednesday, Dec 8th, from 4-8 PM.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 9, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Trinity Evangelical Church, 105 Haverhill Street, North Reading. Pastor George D. Ray of Trinity Evangelical Church will be officiating. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.

Beatrice Smith Taylor
Beatrice (Smith ) Taylor, 87, died Friday, April 2, 2004 at the Harborside Health Care in Wakefield, MA. Beatrice was born and educated in Malden, graduating Malden High School with the class of 1935. When she completed high school she went to work at Leopold Mall in Boston as an elevator operator. She then went to work for the Converse Rubber Company of Malden as a packer and was employed there for over twenty-five years until her retirement. She was a long time member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Malden and her favorite pastime was ice skating. Mrs. Taylor was a lifelong resident of Malden, MA.
She is survived by her son, Harry N. Taylor, Jr. of Malden, and her sisters; Ocie Smith of Malden and Ruth Torres of Malden.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry N. Taylor, Sr., her brother Major Smith, Jr., and her sister Queenie Smith.
She was born April 24, 1916 in Malden, MA the daughter of the late Major and Beatrice (Hargraves) Smith, Sr.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home with Rev. Brenda Champney, Chaplain of the Beacon Hospice of Beverly officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.

Brenda M. 'Newy' Edwards-Thibert
Brenda M. 'Newy' Edwards-Thibert (Coggins), 69, died peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Thursday, October 02, 2003 in Malden, MA. "Newy" was born and educated in Liverpool, England. She came to the United States in 1953 residing originally in Charlestown and Somerville. In 1967 she moved to Malden where she was devoted to raising her children and has resided there for the past thirty-six years. She was employed as a switchboard operator for the Somerville Police Department and Somerville City Hall for a number of years. She also worked as a waitress for a number of years for the Continental Restaurant in Somerville. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Malden and was an avid bingo and scrabble player. Mrs. Edwards-Thibert lived in Malden, MA for the past thirty-six years and was previously from Somerville and Charlestown.
She is survived by her husband Bernard H. Thibert, of Malden, her son, Michael J. Edwards of Revere, her daughter, Laurette M. Dever of Malden, her daughter, Brenda C. Ferola of Malden, her daughter, Donna L. Hanson of Byfield, her son, Dean L. Edwards of Melrose, her daughter, Kelly A. Shamma, of NH, her son, Lawrence C. Edwards, Jr. of Georgetown, her brothers; James Connolly of England, John Maxwell of OR and fifteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was born June 25, 1934 in Liverpool, England the daughter of the late Michael and Mariah (Lacey) Coggins.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Sunday, October 5th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Madolyn Ella Thompson
Madolyn Ella Thompson, 93, housewife, died Saturday, November 25, 2000 at Sunbridge of N. Reading in Wilmington, . She was born March 19, 1907 in Deer Island, Maine the daughter of Martin and Mabel (Grey) Greene. Madylyn came to Everett at an early age, and attended the Everett School system. For at time she worked at Thompsons Spa, where she worked as a casheir and wrapped pastries. After her marraige to Milton Thompson, she resided in Malden where they raised their close knit family. After Miltons retirement, they moved to Plaistow NH. They grew vegatables on their farm, and were active the the church social scene. Madolyn also enjoyed planting flowers, knitting, embroidering, and making afghans.
She is survived by daughters Beverly Mc Millen of Malden, Mary Osterholt of Malden, Helene Sawyer of Lynn, and son, Bradley Thompson, and brothers Kenneth Greene of Everett, Victor Greene of Lynn.
She was preceded in death by her husband Milton, her father Martin Greene, her mother Mabel Grey, her brothers Arthur Greene, Thomas Greene, Donald Greene, and Martin Greene.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 29th, at 10:00 AM. Rev. Randall P. Ferrara of The First Church in Malden, Congregation will be officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.

Edward Gerard Throop
Edward Gerard Throop, 77, a retired machinist, died suddenly on Saturday, November 11, 2000 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA after being stricken with a heart attack at his home in Malden. Edward was born in Woburn and educated in Everett schools. When WWII broke out he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in the South Pacific and at Guadalcanal. He returned to Everett after his discharge and met his wife of fifty-six years, Anna. They resided in Roxbury for 13 years after their marriage and settled in Malden 43 years ago. He was employed as a machinist for New England Bolt co. of Everett for many years until his retirement in 1988.
He is survived by his wife Anna E. (Morgan) Throop of Malden and several nieces and nephews.
He was born November 13, 1922 in Woburn, Massachusetts the son of the late Leslie and Margaret (Donovan) Throop. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden, on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. His wife Anna will be present only at the afternoon hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Sacred Heart Church, 297 Main St., Malden, on Weds. November 15, 2000 at 10:00 A.M with the Rev. Daniel J. Hickey, Pastor of Sacred Heart Church officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Cemetery in Roxbury.

Jeanne Agnes Toczydlowski
Jeanne A. (DeAngelis) Toczydlowski, 89, died Sunday, October 20, 2002 at the Emerald Court Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Norwood, MA. Jeanne was born in Italy and moved to the United States at an early age. She grew up in Springfield MA, and attended school there until moving to Millis. While in Millis, she worked at the Herman Shoe Co, as a dry stitch vamper. She married her husband Anthony in 1946 and they soon moved to Malden. She worked for the Eagle Shoe Co. in Everett for twenty years, performing similar duties. In 1979 she and Anthony moved to Holliston, where they lived until his passing in 1992. The two had shared 46 years together. In 1992 Jeanne moved back to Malden and was a communicate of St. Josephs Church and helped care for her grandchildren, Kirk and Curt.
She is survived by her son John A. Toczydlowski and his wife Bozena of Malden. She was the sister of Charles DeAngelis of Millis, Anthony DeAngelis of FL and Mary Guritan. Loving grandmother of Kirk J. & Curt A. Toczydlowski of Malden.
She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony J. Toczydlowski, her father Joseph DeAngelis, and her mother Angelina.
She was born August 25, 1913 in Italy, the daughter of late Joseph and Angelina (DiMarino) DeAngelis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem St., Malden, on Tuesday, at 10AM. Pastor William J. Minigan of St. Josephs Church will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Millis, MA.

Osvaldo J. 'Valdi' Torres
Osvaldo J. 'Valdi' Torres, 48, died, suddenly, Thursday, December 16, 2004 at his home in Malden, Massachusetts. "Valdi" was born in the Bronx, New York. He returned to Santurce, Puerto Rico at an early age where he was educated completing two years of college. He resided in Santurce and Toa Alta, Puerto Rico where his passions included swimming and drag racing which he really enjoyed participating in. He returned to the United States in 1983 residing in Chelsea before settling in Malden in 1995. He was employed as an accountant for the Pine Street Inn of Boston until having to retire due to disability. He enjoyed making miniature cars and was a loving father to his daughters whom he called his angels and was devoted to his two grandchildren Joel and Javier De Leon. Mr. Torres lived in Malden, Massachusetts for nine years and was previously from Chelsea and Puerto Rico.
He is survived by his wife Ana Cruz, of Malden his father Juan Torres of Puerto Rico, his daughters, whom he called his angels, Melissa Torres of Malden, Yaritza De Leon of Winchester, Melanie Torres of Malden, his brother, Richard Rodriguez of CA, his sister, Brunilda Gonzalves of PR, his brother, Javier Torres of PR, and his grandsons, Joel and Javier De Leon of Winchester.
He was preceded in death by his mother Maria (Marcano) Torres.
He was born March 12, 1956 in Bronx, New York the son of Juan and the late Maria (Marcano) Torres.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street Malden, MA on Monday Dec. 20th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Diane Pauline Tower
Diane Pauline Tower, 52, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. Diane was born in Chelsea and educated in North Reading schools, graduating from North Reading High School with the Class of 1968. She then went to work at the Normandy House in Melrose as a nurse's aide before becoming the assistant manger of Building 19 7/8th, in Lynn, where she was employed for over fifteen years. The past three years she has worked at the Tewksbury State Hospital as their switch board operator. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Malden. Mrs. Tower lived in Malden, MA for the past year and was previously from Medford and Saugus.
She is survived by her father Alfred G. Mc Kennon of FL, Her son, Richard A. Palmer of Lynn, her daughters, Pauline D. Ventre of Saugus and Charlene M. Watkins of Saugus, her brother, Alfred Mc Kennon, Jr. of NH, her sister, Christine M. Hall of SC, her brother, William C. Mc Kennon of Winthrop her sister Pauline R. Vazzino of Malden and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Tower, her mother Pearl (Racki) McKennon and her twin sister Carol A. Hardin of Lynn.
She was born September 12, 1949 in Chelsea, Massachusetts the daughter of Alfred and the late Pearl (Racki) McKennon.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Robert Dickson Trenholm
Robert D. Trenholm, 67, died Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, MA. Bob was born in Sharon and educated in the Brookline school system. As a teenager Bob moved with his family to Casco Bay, Maine were they ran a bed & breakfast hotel. He later moved to Quincy and joined the U.S. Navy in 1955. After his discharge he was employed at the Stoffer Chemical Company in San Francisco, CA for three years. He moved back to the Boston area, and went to school to become a beautician, later teaching students the trade. He became the Director of Education for Fantastic Sams, a chain of hair dressing firms across the country that he would travel to, teaching the trade for the next five years. He later worked for the Massachusetts Council of the Aging, in Boston, a job he truly loved for three years until his illness. Mr. Trenholm had lived in Malden for the last twenty six years and was previously from Hudson, NH and Quincy.
He is survived by his life companion Gero "Jerry" Schiavo of Malden, his niece Maryann Conners and her husband Gary of East Weymouth, and nephews Rick Graham, of Bourne, Bob & Jimmy Graham both of Quincy, his great-nieces Deb Goodrow of Abington and Kim Wilson of Pembroke and many loving and cherished friends.
He was born December 3, 1937 in Sharon, MA the son of the late Hessell and Helen (Fergie) Trenholm.

Norma Jean Tringali
Norma Jean Tringali, 46, lifelong of Malden, died Saturday, December 13, 2003 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. Norma Jean was born and raised in Malden, graduating from Malden High School with the class of 1975. After her graduation she studied accounting at North Eastern University. She worked for almost 20 years at the Boston Regional Medical Center in Stoneham as a Computer Administrator, until the hospitals closing. She then became an office manager for Combined Properties in Malden. Norma Jean was a member of the Centre United Methodist Church in Malden, and she enjoyed going to the beach and traveling.
She is survived by her son, Michael J. Tringali of Malden, her sisters Debra L. Tilden of Atlanta, GA, and Nanci L. Murphy of Malden, her aunt Shirley Constantine of Malden, and her uncle Joseph Constantine of Melrose, and Eleanor Repucci of Danvers.
She was preceded in death by her parents Norman and Phyllis (Constantine) Tilden.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Monday Dec 15th, from 5 - 8 PM.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home. Rev. James Cox of Centre United Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.

Rogelio Juarez Turcios
Rogelio Juarez Turcios, 75, of Malden, formerly of Somerville and Guatamala, died suddenly Sunday, March 07, 2004 at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett, Massachusetts. Rogelio was born and raised in Guatamala. At the age of 50, he started a new life in the United States, and settled first in Somerville, before moving to Malden over 5 years ago. He worked for many years at Diamond Crystal Specialty Foods in Wilmington, until his retirement just a few years ago.
He is survived by his wife Thelma C. (Juarez) of Malden, MA, his children Olga Juarez of Florida, Adolfo Juarez of Utah, Solomon Juarez of California, Samuel Juarez of Guatamala, Rut Juarez of Guatamala, Ana Juarez of Malden, Mario Juarez of Florida, Pablo Juarez of Florida, Maria Juarez of California, and Rev. Alan Juarez of Malden. He is also the brother of Manuel Turcios, Rafael Turcios, Elisandio Juarez, Julio Juares, all of Guatamala.
Visitation will be held at Iglesia Cristiana Nueva Vida, 70 White Street, E. Boston, on Thursday from 5 - 7, and funeral services will run from 7 to 9 PM, with Rogilio's son, Rev. Alan Juarez, officiating the service. Funeral procession will form for graveside services at the Iglesia Cristiana Nueva Vidat 9:30 AM, on Friday, leaving at 10 AM for burial will be in the Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.

Cyrilla "Jeanne" Turner
C. Jeanne Turner, 81, a longtime resident of Malden who had lived in Lake Worth, Florida for the past 20 years, passed away Saturday, October 15, at the St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Jeanne was born and raised in Gloucester, MA, graduating from Gloucester HS with the class of 1942. A few of years later, she married her sweetheart, James Turner, and the two settled in Malden. Jeanne became the office manager for Jim's growing oil business, and worked there until their retirement. Even after her retirement from the family oil business, she went to work at Russo's Candy in Saugus as a salesperson to keep herself busy.
Jeanne was an active member to the Order of the Eastern Star in Malden. She also enjoyed knitting and crotchetting, and was very proud of being able to sew her own clothes. In addition, Jeanne enjoyed reupholstering furniture in her spare time, as well as playing cards games like Canasta. In 1978, she and her husband Jim moved from Malden to North Reading, and resided there before moving to Florida 20 years ago.
She is survived by her husband Jim, her daughter, Linda C. Buttaro of Malden, her aunt Alice B. Doucette of Gloucester, her nieces Susan Sloan and Lynne Gaffey of Melrose Norman Turner and Rosemary (Turner) of FL, her granddaughter, Paula J. and her husband Christopher Carroll of CT and her 3 great grandchildren whom she loved and adored.
She was preceded in death by her father John Alves, her mother Cyrilla M., her son Paul R. Smith, and her sister Barbara Manning.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 22nd, 10:00 A.M. at the Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home. Father John R. Clarke of St. Paul's Episcopal Parish will be officiating. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
Visitation will be held at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Friday, October 21st, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Hilda May Tyacke
Hilda May Tyacke, 89, died Thursday, June 12, 2003 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, MA. Hilda was born in Everett, MA and at a early age she moved with her family to Malden. She was educated in Malden and later married her husband Edward in 1933 and they were married for 42 years. They later moved to Medford in 1944 and resided there for 41 years before moving back to Malden where she has resided for the past twenty one years.
She is survived by her daughters; Hazel M. Christiansen of Malden, Margaret E. Cover of Chelsea, her sister, Hazel F. Williams of Malden, twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Tyacke, her daughter, Doris Ann Mucci of Revere and her sister Flora E. Bryant of Malden.
She was born January 20, 1914 in Everett, MA the daughter of the late Joseph and Emily (Billington) Bryant.
Visitation will be held at the Weir-MacCuish, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Mon. June 16th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held Tues. June 17, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Weir-MacCuish Funeral Home with the Rev. James Cox Pastor of the Centre United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
