Mrs. Mabel M. Hall
BURLINGTON - Mrs. Mabel McBane Hall, 95, of 24 Yacht Basin Road, Ocean View, Del., died at 9:35 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at Millsboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a former resident of 225-A W. Front St., Burlington.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Dan S. Hall, and the daughter of Mr. Grant C. McBane and Mrs. Lenora Lindley McBane, both deceased. She was a retired school teacher and was a member of the Burlington Garden Club. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Burlington, where she was a former choir member, member of the Women's Circle and was active in church activities.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Gladys M. Denholm of Ocean View; and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Hall Smiley of Bartesville, Okla.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Vera M. Farrell, Mrs. Sandra ``Mac'' Jeffreys and Mrs. Etta M. Zachary; and two brothers, Dr. Perisho McBane and Mr. Ross McBane.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Pine Hill Cemetery by Dr. Charles Williams, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Burlington.
The family will be at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 2 to 3 Sunday afternoon.

Mr. Bennie Richmond
GREENSBORO - Mr. Bennie Richmond, 77, of 1611 Quincy Drive, died at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 1998, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness.
A native of Orange County, he was the husband of Mrs. Veola Richmond, who survives, and the son of Mr. Dave Richmond and Mrs. Bessie Evans Richmond, both deceased. He was retired. He was a member of East Market Street Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include three sons, Mr. Earl Richmond, Mr. Paul Richmond and Mr. Wesley Richmond, all of Greensboro; a daughter, Ms. Dianne Richmond of the home; a sister, Ms. Inez Richmond of Burlington; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at East Market Street Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The family will be at the church one hour before the service, and at other times at the home.

Mrs. Mary D. Kinney
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Mary Drummond Kinney, 68, of 513 Shadowbrook Court, died at 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
A native of Fountain Inn, S.C., she was the wife of Mr. Thomas E. “Tommy” Kinney Jr. and the daughter of Mrs. Allyne Winston Drummond, who survives, and the late Mr. E.A.Drummond. She was a retired comptroller of 1st State Savings Bank and was a retired real estate salesperson for the Gallery of Homes. She was a member of Davis Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors other than her husband of the home and mother of Graham include a son, Mr. Thomas E. “Tripp” Kinney III of Burlington; a sister, Ms. Joann D. Brown of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; and three brothers, Mr. Jim Drummond of Gibsonville, Mr. W.E. “Bill” Drummond II of Greensboro and Mr. Winston Drummond of Mechanicsville, Va.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington by Dr. Michael Hobbs, pastor of Davis Street United Methodist Church, and Dr. Lily Chou, associate pastor. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.

WINSTON-SALEM — Roland Thomas Todd Jr., 4, of 1110 E. 22nd St., died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Baptist Hospital after a sudden illness.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Mrs. Fondra Faye Mitchell Dove, who survives, and Mr. Roland Thomas Todd Sr., who survives.
Survivors other than his mother of the home and father of Winston-Salem include two brothers, Quintus Mitchell and Vuintus Mitchell, both of the home; and three sisters.

MEBANE — Mr. Tommy Foster, 78, of 640 N.C. 119 North, died Thursday, April 15, 1999, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Caswell County, he was the son of Mr. Jim Henry Foster and Mrs. Lillian Richmond Foster, both deceased. He was a member of Sweet Gum Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Mr. Robert Foster of Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Gennie B. Foster of Mebane and Ms. Luella Bigelow of Burlington.

Miss Geraldine Lineberry
BURLINGTON — Miss Betty Geraldine Lineberry, 67, of 631 North Ave., died at 4 p.m. Friday, April 16, 1999, at the Hospice Home after several years of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Mrs. Pearl Aldridge Lineberry, who survives, and the late Mr. Ralph W. Lineberry. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors other than her mother of Atlanta include a sister, Mrs. Lorena L. Richardson of Columbia, S.C.; and two brothers, Mr. George T. Lineberry of Charlotte and Mr. Gratin Ray Lineberry of Atlanta.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Richard K. Lineberry.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Caswell Ward Cemetery, by Bishop Richard Cauley and Bishop Vernon Massengill.
The family will be at the church from 9 to 10:45 Monday morning.

Mrs. Fannie T. Vincent dies at age 102
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Fannie Juanita Thompson Vincent, 102, of 715 Lee St., died at her home, Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, after an illness of several weeks.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Clarence Vincent Sr. and the daughter of Mr. George Thompson and Mrs. Fannie Haith Thompson, both deceased. She was a retired employee of the First Christian United Church of Christ. She was a member of Jeffries Cross Roads Baptist Church, where she served with The Missionary Department and with the Pastor’s Aide Club. She was also a member of Missionary Circle No. 2 of the First Baptist Church on Apple Street.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Nellie Jeffries, Mrs. Mary Tapp, Mrs., Alberta Dixon, Mrs. Edna Manning and Mrs. Doris Vaughn, all of Burlington, and Mrs. Faye Shivers of San Antonio; two sons, Mr. Clarence Vincent Jr. and Mr. Leroy Vincent, both of Burlington; two foster daughters, Mrs. Jackie Holmes and Mrs. Karen Vincent, both of Burlington; 45 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and 31 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded death by three daughters, Ms. Viola Vincent, Mrs. Barbara V. Slade and Mrs. Katherine V. Allen; and two sons, Mr. Billy Vincent and Mr. Jake Vincent,

ELON COLLEGE — Mrs. Geraldine Dameron Latta, 69, of 2061 Northcrest Drive, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital after several years of failing health.
A native of Wilson County, she was the wife of Mr. William J. “Bill” Latta Sr., who survives, and the daughter of Mrs. Lillie Collier Dameron, who survives, and the late Mr. Robert David Dameron Sr. She was a retired licensed practical nurse at Hillhaven Convalescent Center. She was a graduate of St. Leo’s Nursing School in Greensboro and was a member of Burlington Assembly of God.
Survivors other than her husband of the home include a daughter, Mrs. Carlton (Sherry) Hunt of Gibsonville; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Vikki Miglionico of Burlington and Mrs. Linda Wobbie of Cheyenne, Wy.; two stepsons, Mr. Bucky Latta of Maryland and Mr. David Latta, of Martinsville, W.Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Henry of Burlington and Mrs. Pauline Chambers of Florence, S.C.; three brothers, Mr. R.D. Dameron Jr. and Mr. Ron Dameron, both of Burlington, and Mr. Doug Dameron of Deland, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Robert Anthony “Tony” Dameron; and two brothers, Mr. Charles Dameron and Mr.
Roy Lee Dameron.

BURLINGTON — Mrs. Betty Allen Bolden, 51, of 1223 Franklin St., died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill after 18 months of failing health.
A native of Hickory, she was the wife of Mr. William L. “Bill” Bolden, who survives, and the daughter of Mrs. Janet Dew Allen, who survives, and the late Mr. William Harrison Allen. She was a former customer representative with M&W Business Equipment and later with Forms and Supply Co. Inc. of Greensboro. She was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Survivors other than her husband of the home and mother of Burlington include a daughter, Ms. Nicole Hawkins with whom she made her home; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Allen Hensley of Liberty.

MEBANE — Mrs. Bessie Newcomb Davis, 85, of 104 W. Graham St., died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after one year of failing health, five days critical.
A native of Halifax County, Va., she was the wife of the late Mr. Woodrow Wilson Davis and the daughter of Mr. John Douglas Newcomb and Mrs. Hattie Lloyd Newcomb, both deceased. She was a retired employee of Webco Mill in Burlington. She was a member of Graham Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Davis Holt of Graham; a son, Mr. Clyde W. Davis of Pleasant Garden; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. E.W. Gurganious Jr.
BURLINGTON — Mr. Etheridge “E.W.” Wiley Gurganious Jr., 78, of 4310 Hickory Nut Point, died at 2 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several months of failing health, two weeks critical.
A native of New Hanover County, he was the husband of Mrs. Laura Ward Gurganious, who survives, and the son of Mr. Ethridge Wiley Gurganious Sr. and Mrs. Mettie Whitesell Gurganious, both deceased. He was the retired owner and operator of Crystal Clear Pools and was a member of Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include two brothers, Mr. Jack Gurganious of Burlington and Mr. William “Billy” Gurganious of Graham.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Richard Wiley Gurganious.
There will be no service.

BURLINGTON — Mrs. Esther Kellam Isley, 90, of 1546 Flora Ave., died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. E.M. Isley and the daughter of Mr. Samuel Kellam and Mrs. Jessie Oliver Kellam, both deceased. She was a retired employee of Sanders Hosiery Mill and was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.
Survivors include five daughter, Mrs. Betty Ball, Mrs. Geraldine Myers Mix and Mrs. Faye Lucas, all of Burlington, Mrs. Agnes Owen of Hickory and Mrs. Shirley Killmeier of Liberty; three sisters, Miss Agnes Kellam of Burlington, Mrs. Ada Ridge of High Point and Mrs. Ruth Phillips of Liberty; two brothers, Mr. Harvey Kellam of Burlington and Mr. Roy Kellam of Siler City; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Larry Isley; a sister, Ms. Edna Robertson; and a grandchild.

GRAHAM — Mrs. Lottie Lee Foust Braxton, 82, of 3548 Greenhill Road, died at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill after three years of failing health, one day critical.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Jasper Braxton, and the daughter of Mr. Rez Foust and Mrs. Effie Wyatt Foust, both deceased. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Center United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include two daughter, Mrs. Lynette Braxton Dixon of Graham and Mrs. Barbara Braxton Ferguson of Chapel Hill; four sons, Mr. Jasper Howell Braxton, Mr. Donald Lee Braxton, Mr. John Dale Braxton and Mr. Max Gordon Braxton, all of Graham; three sisters, Mrs. Caroleen Foust Allen, Mrs. Edna Gray Braxton and Mrs. Adell Foust McPherson, all of Snow Camp; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. William Wyatt Foust.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Center United Methodist Church by the Rev. Stanley Lewis and the Rev. Ross Carter. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Ella Y. Setzer
HIGH POINT — Mrs. Ella Yount Setzer, 99, of 259 Dorothy St., died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Born Dec. 24, 1899, in Lincoln County, she was the wife of Mr. James Broadus Setzer Sr., who died in 1978, and the daughter of Mr. James A. Yount and Mrs. Callie Davis Yount, both deceased. She had been a resident of High Point since 1942 and was retired from Plymouth Hosiery. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. George (Betty) Beck of High Point; a son, Mr. Broadus Setzer Jr. of Archdale; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Bean of Lincolnton and Mrs. Nancy Strout of Maryfield Nursing Home; 15 grandchildren, one of whom lives in Burlington; 36 great-grandchildren; and 35 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. today at the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point by the Rev. Hearth Kennedy. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
