Mrs. Billie Ann Bailey, 54, of Luthersville died Jan. 4, 1997 at her home.
Born Nov. 9, 1942 at Ft. Benning, Mrs. Bailey lived in College Park before moving to Luthersville in 1976,. She was a member of the Mormon faith and a former employee of Royal Moulded products in Newnan.
Funeral services were held Jan. 7 (today) at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Ball officiating. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park.
Survivors include her husband, Howard O. Bailey of Luthersville; daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Joey (Sharon Denise) Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Katie Laura) Holcomb, all of Luthersville; sons, Howard O. Bailey Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lane (Angela) Bailey, all of Luthersville; step-son, Howard Eugene Bailey of Pine Mountain; step-father, Jim F. MR. BEN F. KELLER JR.
Mr. Ben F. Keller Jr., 81, of Greenville died Jan. 7, 1997 at the Brian Center for Nursing Care in LaGrange.
Born March 23, 1915 in Meriwether County, Mr. Keller was the son of the late Benjamin and Maude Fowler Keller. A lifelong resident of Coweta County, he was a deacon of Greenville Baptist Church and a retired agent for Cotton States Insurance Company.
Mr. Keller was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Greenville American Legion Post #186 and a member of Greenville Masonic Lodge #321.
Graveside services were held Jan. 9 at the Greenville Cemetery with the Rev. Jonathan Porter officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Paul Nowlen, Felton Hoyle, Joe Hoyle, Frank Keller, Todd Caldwell, Will Keller, Ben Keller and Dudley Hoyle.
Survivors include his wife, Isabelle C. Keller of Greenville; daughters, Carol Douthit of Winter Haven, Fla., Kay Bentz of Norcross; sisters, Faye Elliott of Camden, S.C., Olivia Mikell of Etowah, N.C.; brother, Wade Keller of Greenville; and three grandchildren.

Mr. Charles Douglas Landers, 68, of Atlanta dies Jan. 7, 1997 in Decatur.
Born April 26, 1928 in Kentucky, Mr. Landers was the son of the late John Clark Landers and Ma (Grubbs) Landers. He was a member of Rainbow Park Baptist Church.
Mr. Landers was a U.S. Navy veteran and a photo engraver.
Funeral services were held Jan. 9 at McKoon Funeral Home. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Jeanette (Ayers) Landers of Atlanta; sons, Mr. and Mrs. William and Linda Landers of Luthersville, Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Deborah Landers of Roopville, Mr. and Mrs. David and Donna Landers of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Joseph Landon "Junior" Moore Jr., 73, of Grantville died Jan 2, 1997 at Starcrest of Newnan.
Born Sept. 7, 1923 in Carroll County, Mr. Moore was the son of the late Joseph Landon Moore Sr. and Mary Lou )Hogan) Moore. He was a member of Grantville First Baptist Church.
Mr. Moore was a retired driver for Blue Flame Gas and had worked for R.D. Cole Company in Newnan.
Funeral Services were held Jan. 4 at McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Dean officiating. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan with Don Smith, Joey Smith, Curtis Mote, Charles Wright, Tom Vanderhorst, James Newby, Carl Smith and Bobby Lane serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Arthur Hutchinson Murphey, 43, died in Charlotte, N.C. after an extensive cardiac illness.
Born Aug. 8, 1953 in Perry, Ga., Mr. Murphey grew up in Newnan and worked for Piedmont Airlines. He was the son of Frances Mashburn Murphey and Billy Burns Murphey.
A memorial service was held Jan. 9 at McKoon Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Sullivan; son, Brandon Tyler Murphey; brother, Bill Burns Murphey of Newnan; sister, Ruth Murphey Park of Atlanta; nieces and nephews.

MRS. NELLIE BURDETTE NEWBY
Mrs. Nellie Burdette Newby, 96, of Newnan, formerly of Lanett, Ala., died Jan. 7, 1997 at Newnan Hospital.
Born July 17, 1900 in Long Cane, Ga., Mrs. Newby was the daughter of the late Thomas Bartow Burdette and Mary Frances Burdette and the widow of John T. Newby. She was a homemaker and a member of Lanett First United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Jan. 9 at McCarthy Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward J. Deabler and Dr. Bill Phares officiating. Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery in Lanett.
Survivors include her daughters, June N. Elliott of Newnan, Frances Bryant of Lanett; daughter-in-law, Clare S. Newby of Prattville, Ala.; son, Douglas "Pug" Newby of Lanett; son-in-law, Dr. W.O. Elliott of Newnan; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Gertrude Bogle Pair, 87, of Thomas Powers Road in Newnan died Jan. 6, 1997 in Franklin.
Born July 15, 1909 in Atlanta, Mrs. Pair was the daughter of the late Calvin and Fannie (Ponders) Childers and the widow of Joseph H. Pair. She was a member of Elim Baptist Church and a retired office personnel employer.
Graveside services were held Jan. 7 at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta with Dr. Bobby Helton officiating.
Survivors include her daughter, Hazel Lewis of Newnan; son, Ray E. Bogle of Conyers; sisters, Ethel Armstrong, Elizabeth Benton, both of Lithonia; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

MR. HERMAN ROBINSON
Mr. Herman Robinson, 90, of LaGrange died Jan. 7, 1997 at Franklin Health Care Center in Franklin.
Born Oct. 28, 1906 in Carroll County, Mr. Robinson was the son of the late Charles Asbury and Mary Aileen Smith Robinson. He was retired from the Milliken Company and was a member of Elm City Lodge #544 of F&AM.
Funeral services were held Jan. 8 at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home in LaGrange with the Rev. Bobby Robinson officiating. Interment followed at Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Yvonne and Lee White of LaGrange, Janice and James Stogner of LaGrange; sister, Jewell Bowden of Warm Springs; brothers, Foster Robinson, C.B. Robinson, both of Carrollton; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jerald Smith, 57, of Hogansville died Jan. 7, 1997 at Peachtree Regional Hospital in Newnan.
Born June 20, 1939 in LaGrange, Mr. Smith had lived in Hogansville for 20 years. He was a member of the Baptist faith and was retired from General Motors.
Funeral services were held Jan. 9 at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Jiles and the Rev. Ray Nix officiating. Interment followed at Shadowland Cemetery in LaGrange with Randy Hendrix, Mark Holloway, Randy Bussey, Steve Laney, Jason Craven and Dwayne Thrash serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Truman Smith of Hogansville; brother, Jerry Smith of Hogansville; step-daughter, Connie Smith of Hapeville; and two step-grandchildren.

Born March 8, 1910 in Georgia, Mrs. Collins was the daughter of the late Richard Floyd Lee and Mel (Phillips) Lee and the widow of Thomas M. Collins. She was a homemaker.

Funeral services were held Jan. 6 at Mt. Sanai Baptist Church with the Rev. B.B. Avery, the Rev. H.H. Dyer officiating, assisted by the Rev. Perry Huggins, the Rev. Julius Warner and Anita Britt. Interment followed at Eastview Cemetery with Georgia Power workers serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Helen L. Robinson Godfrey, 71, of Belt Road in Newnan passed away Jan. 2, 1997 at Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Born June 9, 1925 in Meriwether County, Mrs. Godfrey was a member of Rocky Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, where she served on the culinary committee, deaconess board, usher board, and pastor's aide auxiliary.
Mrs. Godfrey attended Meriwether County Schools and was a graduate of Apex School of Cosmetology. She was a former cook for Luthersville Elementary School and Newnan High School.
Funeral services were held Jan. 5 at Rocky Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. A.G. Baker officiating, assisted by the Rev. Lowinston Jackson, the Rev. Tom Godfrey, the Rev. David Brittian, the Rev. J. Phillip Baker and other ministers.
Interment followed at the church cemetery with Roy Clark, William Clark, Allen Jackson, Levi Jackson, LaVoe Robinson and Linez Robinson serving as pallbearers.
