MR. ROBERT EASON
Mr. Robert Eason, 84, of Georgia Highway 27 South, formerly of Carrollton, died Oct. 22, 1996.
Born Sept. 5, 1912 in Carroll County, Mr. Eason was the son of the late Walter Jasper Eason and Martha Eugenia Word Eason. He was a retired U.S. Postal Service transportation technician and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Eason was preceded in death by four brothers, Claude Eason, Carl Eason, Jim Eason, Burl Eason and a son-in-law, Alton L. Parker.
Funeral services were held Oct. 24 at Martin and Hightower Funeral Home in Carrollton with the Rev. Bob Helton and the Rev. Jerry Wolfe officiating. Interment
followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Hall Eason of Carrollton, daughter, Glenda Parker of Eatonton; daughter and son-in-law, June and James Sorrells of Carrollton; sister, Hannah "Hannie" Helton of Newnan; brother, Earnest Eason of Carrollton; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services or Master Benjamin Ross McAdams were held Oct. 25, 1996 at Brooks Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Martin Patrick McNulty, 93, of Brimer Road in Newnan died Oct. 21, 1996 at Newnan Hospital.
Born Sept. 7, 1903 in Jersey City, N.J., Mr. McNulty was the son of the late John Joseph McNulty and Mary (Hennigan) McNulty. He was the husband of the late Ann (McGovern) McNulty and was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
Mr. McNulty was a retired foreman with the Railway Express Agency, a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of St. George Catholic Church.
Funeral services were held Oct. 24 at St. George Catholic Church with Father Leo Herbert officiating. Interment
followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan.

Born Aug. 1, 1911 in Waycross, Mrs. Terrell was the daughter of the late William Henry and Edna Leighton Dinkins O'Neill. She was a member of Newnan Presbyterian Church.

MR. WILLIAM ALBERT GIBSON JR.
Mr. William Albert Gibson Jr., 74, of Sargent died Sept., 30, 1996 at Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Born May 14, 1922 in Georgia, Mr. Gibson was the son of the late Williams Albert Gibson Sr. and Lizzie (Childers) Gibson. He was retired from the Bibb Company and was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Sargent Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dale Cook, and a grandson.
Funeral services were held Oct. 2 (today) at McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Travis Eidson officiating, assisted by the Rev. Stephen Hart. Interment
followed at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

MR. JERRY C. HELTON
Mr. Jerry C. Helton, 57, of Franklin died Oct. 13, 1996 at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta.
Born June 18, 1939 in Carroll County, Helton was the son of the late Millard Lee Helton. He was a former chief of the Newnan Police Department and worked as a security officer for PAPP Clinic.
Helton joined the Newnan police in 1964 as a patrolman. Three years later he was named a detective and was promoted to chief in 1972. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Funeral services were held Oct. 15 at McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. L.C. Lane officiating. Interment
followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with members of the Newnan Police Department serving as honorary escorts.

Mrs. Virginia L. Jackson, 49, of LaGrange Street in Newnan passed away Oct. 10, 1996 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
Born June 7, 1947 in Turin, Ms. Jackson was the daughter of the late Lizzie Maude Elder and Bill Jackson. She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Moreland.
Funeral services were held Oct. 14 at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. L.W. Booker and the Rev. Jimmy T. Elder officiating, assisted by the Rev. Melvin Brittain, the Rev. Grooms and the Rev. Herron.

Mr. Wayne Joseph Landry, 49, of Jebb Stuart Drive in Newnan died Oct. 13, 1996 at Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Born Oct. 26, 1946 in Port Arthur, Texas, Mr. Landry was the son of the late Harry Landry. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a Mason and a mechanic with Delta Air Lines.

Mr. Jerry Lee Ozmore, 59, of Isle of Palms, S.C. died Oct. 11, 1996 at Mount Pleasant, S.C.
Born March 13, 1937 in Newnan, Mr. Ozmore was the son of the late Freddie Faye (Williams) Ozmore. He was a graduate of Newnan High School and attended the University of Georgia.
Mr. Ozmore was retired from the tourism field and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Isle of Palms.
Graveside services were held Oct. 15 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan with the Rev. Jimmy Hood officiating.

Born. Aug. 17, 1927 in Alabama, the Rev. Walker was the son of the late James Monroe Walker and Maude (Meadows) Walker.
The Rev. Walker a U.S. Navy veteran and a Baptist minister. He was employed by Platex Apparel Inc. until his retirement in 1987.

Mr. Herman Zackery, 75, of Eastgate Apartments in Newnan died Oct. 9, 1996 at Newnan Hospital.
Born July 21, 1921, Mr. Zackery was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rollie Zackery. He was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
Mr. Zackery was the husband of the late Fannie Mae McClendon and was preceded in death by a son, Herman Zackery Jr.
Funeral services were held Oct. 12 at the R.W.S. Memorial Chapel at Sellers-Smith Funeral Home in Newnan with the Dr. Vidalia J. Addy officiating, assisted by the Rev. Donald Barber, the Rev. R.W. Sutton and the Rev. W.R. Zackery.
