Clinton Colwell Jr.
MAYER, Ariz. - Clinton J. Colwell Jr., 82, Mayer, died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday in Apache Junction Health Center, Apache Junction.
He was born Dec. 1, 1917, in Defiance, the son of Clinton Sr. and Irene (Mohr) Colwell. In 1938, he married Lillian Zachrich, who died in 1998. He was a mechanic, a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance and a South Richland Township Volunteer Fire Department chief from 1954-1960.
Surviving are a son, Larry, Apache Junction; a brother, James, Ayersville; two sisters, Lois Tracy of Defiance and Dorothy Adair, Litchfield, Mich.; and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death was a sister, Betty Bock.
Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Luhring officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen Lutheran Cemetery, Defiance County. Visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
Preferred memorials are to a charity of the donor's choice.

Ann Galloway
BRYAN - Ann Galloway, 71, rural Bryan, died Saturday in Dilworth Center, Montpelier, following an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 5, 1928, in Evansport, the daughter of Walter and Elsie (Ridenour) Huston. In 1952, she married Robert Galloway, who survives. She retired in 1993 after 24 years at Allied Moulded Products Inc., Bryan.
Also surviving are a son, Jeffrey, Bryan; and two grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Stanley and Marvel Huston; and a sister, Helen Guilford.
Private graveside services were held Tuesday in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan, with Rev. Charles Schmunk officiating. Wilson-Geesey Funeral Home, Montpelier, handled arrangements.
Preferred memorials are to Dilworth Center.

Altha Mast
BRYAN - Altha Ione (Wetmore) Mast, 94, Bryan, died Monday at Hillside Country Living, Bryan.
She was born Oct. 14, 1905, in Paulding County, the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Kint) Deisler. In 1926, she married Ervin Wetmore, who died in 1958. In 1961, she married Rev. Amos Mast, who died in 1986. She worked at Kroger for 10 years, and Charles and G.C. Murphy, all in Bryan. She was a member of Missionary Alliance Church, Bryan, and recently awarded a First Family of Williams County certificate by Williams County Genealogy Society.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marion (Thelma) Newcomb of Fort Wayne and Mrs. Leonard (Audry) Bigger, Fremont, Ind.; a son, Gerald Wetmore, Bryan; a stepson, Eddie, Mesa, Ariz.; and 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two sons, George and Jerry Wetmore.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Rice Funeral Home, Bryan, with Rev. Dick Deisler officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier. Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
Preferred memorials are to church missionary fund or Retired Teachers' Organization Scholarship Fund.

William Norris
MONTPELIER - William H. Norris, 83, Montpelier, died Monday night at Community Hospitals of Williams County-Bryan.
He was born June 16, 1917, in Russell, Ky. His wife, Lillian, survives. He was a retired engineer with the former CNO Railroad, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion, Pikeville, Ky.
Also surviving are two sons, John Sharp of Buffalo, N.Y., and Billy Sharp, Romeo, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Daniel (Clara) Briner of Montpelier and Mrs. Kenneth (Patsy) Collier, West Unity; and eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Hollingshead Funeral Home, West Unity, with Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier, with military services accorded by American Legion Post 669. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Thursday.

Britt Roth
WAUSEON - Britt H. Roth, 46, Wauseon, died Tuesday morning at Medical College of Ohio Hospital, Toledo.
He was born May 29, 1954, in Fulton County, the son of Lowell and Diann (Knapp) Roth. He worked in marketing, was a salesman and member of First Christian Church, Wauseon.
Surviving are his parents, Wauseon; a daughter, Carrie Huner, Coldwater, Mich.; two sons, Ryan of Toledo and Benjamin, Wauseon; three brothers, Brad of Rockville, Md., and Brian and Bill, both of Wauseon; a sister, Mrs. Phil (Barb) Stuckey, Archbold; and a grandmother, Beulah Knapp, Winterhaven, Fla.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Oasis Christian Fellowship, Wauseon, with Rev. Louie Weber officiating. Burial will be in Wauseon Union Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon.
Preferred memorials are to the education trust fund for Ryan and Benjamin Roth.

Catherine McDonald
NEW HAVEN, Ind. - Catherine (Mauzy) McDonald, 81, New Haven, died at 6:15 p.m. Monday in her home.
She was born July 25, 1919, in Antwerp, the daughter of Fred and Stella (Gustin) Putnam. In 1961, she married Theodore McDonald, who died in 1982. She owned Kitty's Beauty Shop and was a member of Antwerp VFW Post 5087 Auxiliary and Royal Neighbors of America.
Surviving are a son, Roger Flood, Woodburn; two daughters, Georgia Hoover of Van Wert and Jennifer Flood, Defiance; and seven grandchildren, a stepgrandchild, six great-grandchildren and a great-stepgrandchild.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; a stepfather, George Bischoff; three brothers, Gerald, John and Max Putnam; and a sister, Marjorie Gilbert.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp, with honors given by Antwerp VFW Post 5087 Auxiliary. Arrangements are being handled by Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp.
Preferred memorials are to Parkview Home Health and Hospice, Fort Wayne.

Brenda Wright
DESHLER - Brenda Ann Wright, 51, Deshler, died at 11:30 p.m. Friday in her residence.
She was born March 20, 1949, in Boscobel, Wis., the daughter of Lee and Carlie (Janney) Walker. In 1965, she married Charles Wright, who survives. She worked in preventative maintenance for more than 15 years at Claude Sintz Inc., Deshler, and was a member of UAW Local 2375.
Also surviving are a son, Charles, Deshler; a daughter, Mrs. Randy (Anita) Simons, Deshler; a stepson, Campbell, Knoxville; a brother, Kenneth Walker, Belmore; two sisters, Grace Bennett and Annie Willkerson, both of Portsmouth, Va.; and three grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a stepson, James; five brothers, Gene, C. Walt, David, Sam and Lee Walker; and four sisters, Geneva, Ellen, Helen and Arlene, in infancy.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, with Rev. Kathleen Richards officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Monday.
Preferred memorials are to Hospice the Caring Way of Defiance.

Patricia Shank
GRAND RAPIDS - Patricia Louise Shank, 62, Grand Rapids, died Friday afternoon at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee.
She was born April 6, 1938, in Liberty Center, the daughter of Walter and Bonnie (Roach) Seel. In 1966, she married Jay Shank, who survives. She was a filler operator at Campbell Soup Co., Napoleon, for 10 years and a bus driver for Otsego Local Schools. She was also a bookkeeper and equipment operator with Shank Excavating for 30 years and a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Grand Rapids Sportsman Club and Bert G. Taylor American Legion Post 300 Auxiliary.
Also surviving are a son, Tim, Morenci, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Dianna) Lehman of Toledo and Mrs. Billy (Lori) Ruff, Adrian, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Nolan (Twyla) Harr, Beverly Jean Mason and Mrs. Don (Bernadine) Pullen, all of Whitehouse; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Wright Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, with Cliff Rayburn officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Grand Rapids. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today.

Marian Luchies
HOLLAND, Mich. - Former Defiance resident Marian E. Luchies, 86, Holland, died Friday at Freedom Inn Care Center, following an extended illness.
She was born Feb. 19, 1914, in Grand Rapids, Mich., the daughter of John and Jennie (Konyndyk) Stehouwer. In 1938, she married John Luchies, who survives. She had been an executive secretary in Michigan, Illinois and New Jersey and was the assistant business manager of Defiance College from 1964-78.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Pillar Christian Reform Church, Holland, with Revs. Michael DeVries and Terry Lapinsky officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery, Holland. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Monday in Dykstra Funeral Home, Holland.
Preferred memorials are to Paulding First Presbyterian Church.

Georgia Rickels
PAULDING - Georgia Ellen Rickels, 76, Paulding, died at 11 a.m. Friday in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born Nov. 24, 1923, in Woodbine, Ky., the daughter of Samuel and Sarah (Reedy) Gray. In 1953, she married Edward Rickels Sr., who died Sept. 6. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, John, Paulding; three daughters, Loretta Gipple and Evelyn King, both of Hicksville, and Ilene Fickel, Cecil; two stepsons, Donald of Sherwood and Paul, Dayton; a brother, Earn Gray, Cincinnati; and 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were two sons, Edward Jr. and Erin Harp; a brother, Richard Morris; a sister, Darlisque Shumate; and five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, with Rev. David Proctor officiating. Burial will be in Paulding Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Preferred memorials are to the family.

Joseph Wyss
HOAGLAND, Ind. - Joseph N. Wyss, 64, Hoagland, died at 12:55 a.m. (Ind. time) Saturday in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Aug. 4, 1936, in Allen County, the son of Joseph and Marie (Maldney) Wyss. In 1988, he married Loretta Lumsden, who survives. He was a farmer and former employee of Central Soya Co., Decatur. In 1996, he retired from Chemco., Monroeville, as a truck driver. He was a former member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Hessen Castle in Fort Wayne, a founder of Wheels of Yesteryear Club and a former fireman with the Preble Volunteer Fire Department.
Also surviving are two sons, Joseph and Jerold, both of Decatur; two daughters, Mrs. Eldon (Kathleen) Fink of Dayton and Mrs. Dan (Karen) Weber, Decatur; a stepson, James Conley, Fort Wayne; two stepdaughters, Vickie Sprow of Lima and Mrs. Dennis (Penny) Saylor, Payne; a brother, Charles, Hoagland; a sister, Mrs. James (Rosaland) Golden, Hoagland; and 12 grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and a great-stepgrandchild.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a daughter, Mary Ann, in infancy.
A prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. (Ind. time) Tuesday in Zwick & Jahn Funeral home, Decatur, followed by services at 10 a.m. in the church with Rev. Bob Van Kemper officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. (Ind. time) Monday in the funeral home with a 4 p.m. rosary service.
Preferred memorials are to the church, St. Joseph Catholic School in Decatur or masses.
