Born in Atlanta, Ga., she was the widow of the late James Edward Floyd and was a homemaker.
Survivors: Sons – Jim Floyd of Cullman, Ala., Ralph Floyd of Westminster & Joe Floyd of Omaha, Ala.
Daughters – Ethel Delp of Jacksonville, Ala. & Linda Simmons of Columbus, Ga.
12 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, her parents, Daniel Gustus & Lydia Charlotte Ethridge Brown precede her death.
Burial will be in Cullman, Ala.

Westminster – Leler Mae Blair Harbin, 90 of 535 Smith Dairy Rd., died Thursday, August 16, 2007 at her residence.
Born in Oconee County in 1917 she was homemaker and a member of Earles Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons Ross Harbin, Earl Harbin and wife Katherine and Doyle Harbin and wife Bonnie all of Westminster, daughter Nancy Rankin and husband Jimmy of Mtn. Rest, four grandchildren, Judy Johns, Farmer Harbin, Beverly Seigler and Rhonda Broome, three great grandchildren and caretakers Edna and Diane Craig.
Mrs. Harbin was precede in death by her husband Lawrence Harbin her parents Farmer and Elizabeth Burdette Harbin, her son Jonas Coy Harbin and brother Leonard Burdette and a great grandchild Cory Johns.
Funeral services will be 2 pm, Sunday, August 19, 2007 in the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel in Westminster. Burial will follow in the Earles Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Westminster – Betty Faye Schaffer Wisniewski Harbert, 65 of 715 Schaffer Rd., died Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Regency – St. Francis Hospital in Greenville.
Born in Oconee County in 1942, Mrs. Harbert was retired from JP Stevens Clemson Plant where she was a long time employee. She was a long time member of St. Francis Catholic Church and a member of the Lake and Mountain Quilt Guild.
Survivors include husband Welton Henry Harbert of the home, son Mark William Wisniewski and wife Patty of Clemson, two grandchildren Thomas Skelton III and Jessie Wisniewski, two brothers Michael Schaffer and wife Sheila of Pendleton and Richard Schaffer of Westminster, two nieces, two nephews, a number of very dear cousins and her beloved pets.
She is pre-deceased by her first husband Thomas Leonard Wisniewski and parents Fred Roy and Blanche Barnum Schaffer.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 am, Friday, August 17, 2007 at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father Jeff Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park.

Westminster, SC – Thelma Youngblood Hammock, 78, of 120 Starcraft Drive, died early Wednesday morning at her home.
Mrs. Hammock was born in Thomaston, Georgia, a daughter of the late Ossie and Martha Gooch Youngblood. She was a homemaker and a member of South Union Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hammock was twice married, first to the late Thomas Caldwell and then to the late James Hammock.
Survivors include her daughter Jane Caldwell Ellis of Thomaston, GA, two grandchildren Michael Shane Ellis and Shannon Ellis Franquero and her husband Chris, a great grandchild Steven Dale Ellis and a granddaughter-in-law Angela Ellis, also a number of nieces and nephews and inlaws.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 AM Thursday, August 16, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home, Westminster, SC with the Reverend Don Corley and the Reverend Calvin Smith officiating. Burial will be 4:30 PM Thursday at Southview Cemetery in Thomaston, GA with the Reverend Terry Hunter officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 AM Thursday at Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster, SC.

Westminster - Beatrice Singleton Mason, 93 of 207 South Isundega St., died Sunday, August 12, 2007 at Hospice House of Anderson.
Born in Oconee County in 1914, Mrs. Mason was a homemaker and a member of Westminster Baptist Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.
Her husband, the late Waymon Otis Mason, parents James Franklin and Della Pickens Singleton, brothers Ulric P., James Phydell, Vivian F. and Clifton Singleton, and sisters Lois Rothell, Cecil Elrod and Musette Holland precede her in death.
Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, August 15, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Nazareth Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Townville - Linda Ann Cobb Cain, 57 of 1215 Ramage Rd., died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born in Oconee County in 1950, she was an employee at Kendall Mfg. She was a member of Townville Church of God.
Surviving are daughters: Teresa Hollifield and husband Matt of Westminster and Angie Prater and husband Bryant of Townville; four grandchildren; brothers: Charles, Robert, Sonny, Jimmy and Billy Cobb of Seneca and Don Cobb of Westminster; sisters: Betty Perry of Seneca, Nancy Cobb of Townville and Kathy Sosebee of Seneca; and special friend Jake Carter of Westminster.
Her parents Hubert and Annie Saylors Cobb, brothers Joe and Edward Cobb and daughter’s father Earl Cain precede her in death.
Funeral services will be 3 PM, Monday, August 13, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster. Burial will follow at Fair Play Church of God Cemetery.

Seneca – Rory Jett Vaughn, infant son of Shawn Vaughn and Courtney McReynolds died August 2, 2007 at Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Surviving in addition to his parents are sister Jade Vaughn of the home, paternal grandmother, Patricia Vaughn of Seneca, maternal grandparents Roy and Sue McReynolds of Morristown, TN.
Graveside services were Sunday August 5, 2007 at First Baptist Memorial Park.

Westminster – Earl Edward Ensor, 63 of 1364 Greenfield Rd., died Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at his residence.
Born in Parkton, Maryland in 1944, Mr. Ensor was a US Army veteran serving as a paratrooper. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Brown Ensor of the home, a son Butser of Confluence, PA, daughters Earlene Addis and husband Lane of Westminster, Cindy Wirtz and husband Jimmy also of Westminster and Melissa Ensor of Shrewsbury, PA, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Earl and Rhoda Naylor Ensor, a brother William Ensor and sister Virginia Ann Asper predecease him.
The family will receive friends 4-6 pm, Sunday, August 12, 2007 at the Sandifer Funeral Home followed by military honors presented by American Legion Post Honor Guard.

Seneca – Margaret Mary Griffin, 92 of Memorial Dr., died Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at Lila Doyle Nursing Center.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1915 she was a homemaker and of the Catholic Faith. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving is son James Patrick Griffin of Salem and Mary Seger of Seneca, seven grandchildren Colleen Hergott, Kathleen Rosenmann, Timothy Griffin, Michael Seger, James Seger, Christopher Seger, Mary Pat Seger and 15 great grandchildren.
Her husband James Martin Griffin, parents George J. and Mary D. Hanks Schroeder, granddaughter Rosie Seger and brother George Schroeder precede her in death.
Funeral services will be 7:30 pm, Friday, August 10, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home. Burial will be 11:00 am Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cemetery in Baden, MD.

Westminster – Charles Calvin Boggs, 62 of 218 Hall Rd., died Sunday, August 5, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville.
Born in Oconee County in 1945, Mr. Boggs was retired from Duke Power where he worked as an electrician. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the American Legion Post.
Surviving are wife Judith Tingler of the home, son Tracy Boggs, brothers Kenneth Boggs and wife Barbara, Larry Boggs and wife Pamela and Robert Boggs and wife Kathy all of Westminster, six step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
His first wife Mary Roach Boggs, son Charles Wesley Boggs, parents George W. and Marjorie Verlene King Boggs and brother Allan Boggs precede him in death.
Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, August 8, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

Salem – Phillip Mather Pierce, 81 of 32 Quartermaster Dr., died Saturday, August 4, 2007 at Oconee Memorial Hospital, following complications from pneumonia.
Born in Essex, CT in 1926, he was employed by American Laundry Machinery as a drafting engineer. Mr. Pierce was a U.S. Army veteran having served in WWII in the European Campaign and the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include son Charles Mather Pierce and daughter Katherine Andrews Pirece.
His wife Penelope Knowlton Pierce, son Thomas Knowlton Pierce and parents Harry and Grace Mather Pierce precede him in death.
Services will be announced by the family at a later date. Flowers are omitted, memorials in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.

Amber Renee Fricks, 18, a rising Senior of West Oak High School and of 314 Cleveland Pike Road, Westminster, died August 1, 2007 from injuries received from an auto accident.
She was the daughter of Cheryl Hopkins Fricks of the home and her Father, Mike Henry Fricks of 107 Pecan Dr., Westminster.
Also surviving Amber is her sister Billie LeAnne Fricks of the home, Grandparents Wallace & Margie Hopkins of 221 Robert Grant Dr., Westminster.
Grandparents Redferd H. Fricks & Kutsey Holbrooks Smith precede her death.
Funeral Services will be 2 PM, Sunday, August 5, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home with the Reverends John McKnight, Frank Knight & Cordell Godwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Toxaway Baptist Church Cemetery.

Westminster – Lillian Williford Donavan, 91, of 2815 Dr. Johns Rd., died Monday, June 18, 2007, at her residence.
Born in Carrollton, MS, in 1915, to the late Richard Oscar and Louvilla Felts Williford, Mrs. Donavan was a graduate of J. Z. George High School in Carrollton, MS. After moving to Westminster, SC, in the mid 1960s, she taught piano and served as an organist at Westminster First Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Women’s Circle and the Lazy Daisy Garden Club.
Survivors include two nieces, Peggy Barrett of Cleveland, MS, and Kay Weaver of Winona, MS, and two nephews, Tommy Barrett of Cleveland, MS, and Richard G. Williford of Mesa, AZ.
In addition to her parents, husband Michael Donavan, brother Richard Williford, sisters Ethel W. Homes, Gladys W. Barrett and Martha W. Oliver preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, June 23, 2007, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church with Dr. George Harper officiating.

Walhalla – David Burton, 37 husband of Stephanie Dawn Moore Burton, of 105 Skyview Dr. died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 in Seneca.
Born in Oconee County to Larry Joe and Margaret Virginia Gillespie Burton of Seneca, Mr. Burton was employed by Northland Cable Company where he was a customer service technician. He was the den leader for Boy Scout Troop #47 and attended Foothills Community Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife Stephanie, are children, Bailey T. Buchanan, Madison D. Buchanan, Jada D. Burton and Emma R. Burton all of the home. Also surviving are two children by a previous marriage, brothers Paul and Andy Burton and sisters Sherri Ann Sellers and Angie D. Miller.
Funeral services will be 2 pm, Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Seneca Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens.

Westminster – William “Bill” Robertson, 74 of 2298 Hwy 59 died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at his residence.
Born in Anderson County in 1933 to the late Billy and Bernice Hipps Robertson, he was a mechanic and was self-employed as a truck driver for 32 years with Davis Company. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife Dixie Lynn Davis Roberts of the home, sons, Roger Dale Robinson, Raymond Junior Robinson, Ralph William Robinson, DJ Wood and Robert Martin Robertson, step-son Ronnie Joe Stancil, daughters Ruby Ann Robinson, Rudean Swafford and Lesley Wood and 14 grandchildren.
Twice married, his first wife, Frances Ruth Robinson and his parents precede him in death.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Friday, June 22, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster. Burial will follow in Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery.

Anderson –In the company of beloved friends and family, singing praises to his Lord, James H. “Jim” Strigle, 69 passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, at 9:10 pm, June 19, 2007 at Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late James Ozzy Strigle and Agnes Guthrie. He was a graduate of Mt. St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Baltimore and attended Harvard University. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. Jim was formerly national promotions manager for Bristol Myers and formerly national promotions manager for Dritz-Covill in Spartanburg. He founded Omni Office Products and formerly served as promotions director for Channel 40 WAXA TV in Anderson. Later he was district manager for the Anderson Independent Mail and his most delighted in position was customer service representative “bagboy” with Publix Market, where he met and served everyone in Anderson. He loved music since childhood and served as percussionist in the Praise Band at Cornerstone Assembly of God.
Surviving is the love of his life and best friend, his wife, Karen Stewart Strigle of the home, a son, James Michael Strigle of Taylors, three daughters, Joyce Anne Strigle Taylor and husband Marty of Spartanburg, Jennifer Frick Berg of Spartanburg and Julie Frick Wojcik and husband Paul of Hendersonville, NC. Also surviving are the apples of his eyes, his grandchildren Brooklynn Alysse Porter of Hendersonville, NC, Lindsey Anne Taylor of Spartanburg, David Lawrence Berg of Spartanburg and John-Wesley Reinhold Berg also of Spartanburg. His former wife Elsie Strigle of Spartanburg also survives him.
He also leaves behind his “beloved entourage”, his hospice care team of Allison, Kristy, Martha, Amber, Kandy, and the precious nursing staff at Hospice House in Anderson.
The family will receive friends at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 23, 2007 in the foyer of Cornerstone Assembly of God, Brown Road and Liberty Hwy., Anderson. The family requests the honor of your presence at a celebration of Jim’s life at 11 AM in the church sanctuary with Pastor Ed Nelson and music ministers Mark Bunney and Jeff Brannon officiating. A private burial was held Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Ramsey Creek Preserve in Westminster, SC.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1825 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.

Jessica Lohse Adams, 94, formerly of Westminster died June 17, 2007 at Clemson Downs Health Center.
She was born January 16, 1913 to the late James Edward and Bessie Ross Barrett of the Hopewell Community, Westminster. Mrs. Adams was a graduated from St. Barnabas School of Nursing in Newark, NJ in 1933, was member of Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of the Seneca Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include:
Daughters: Ruth L Hotinger and husband Paul N. of Easley
Barbara Maxwell and husband Thomas
Son: Harold C. Lohse, Jr. of Hopatcong, NJ
5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren
Sister: Helen Barker Petty
Brother: Victor Elmore Barrett
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by, husbands: Harold C. Lohse and Lt. Col. Hubert Adams, Brothers: Ross, Frank, and Charles Barrett, Sisters: Ruth Graver and Grace Barrett.
Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, June 20, 2007 from the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steve Vance officiating and burial to follow at a later date in the Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover, NJ.

Born in Oconee County to the late James Ernest and Lou Emma James Dickson he was an equipment operator with Brandon Butts Grading. Mr. Dickson was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include wife Sandra Faye Cooper Dickson of the home, daughters Kim Rochester of Walhalla and Tonya Mathis of Westminster, brother Richard Travis Dickson of Westminster and sisters Ann D. Boatwright of St. Petersburg, FL and Betty D. Durham of Westminster, three grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, brother Martin James Dickson and sister Sue D. Durham precede him in death.

Born in Aiken County, SC to the late Charlie and Lorena Clayton Bailey, she retired from Kmart, Tamassee DAR where she served as a house parent and from the Counsel On Aging where she worked as a nurse’s aide.
Surviving is daughter Lynn Arterburn, sons Troy Rholetter, Talmadge Rholetter, Nelsown Rholetter, Tony Rholetter and Ned Rholetter, brother Hiram Earl Bailey, sisters Loretta Gowan and Frances Quarles and one granddaughter Paige Holland and husband Jerry.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Marhsall T. Rholetter precedes her in death.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, June 15, 2007 in the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home, Westminster. Burial will follow at Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family is at the home of her daughter, Lynn Arterburn, 1207 Hwy 182, Fair Play.
Memorials may be made in Mrs. Rholetter’s memory to Hospice of the Foothills Foundation, 390 Keowee School Rd., Seneca, SC 29672. .
