He was Superinten dent of Woodbury Farms for 35 years until it closed in 1961, and then was a Foreman for Town of Oyster Bay Parks Dept. until his retirement in 1976. He was a founding member of St. Edward's Parish and a member of Knights of Columbus and the SyossetWoodbury Republican Club. Beloved husband of the late Anne (nee Krywak). Loving father of Alfred (and April), James, Joyce (and Larry Michels), and Donald (and Mary Jane). Dear grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of three. Dear brother of Mary Motta. BUNCH - Henriette Elizabeth Nimphius. Passed away September 27, 1999 at Boca Raton Community Hospital after a short illness at the age of 98. Mrs. Bunch, of Deerfield Beach and the Bronx, NY was pre - deceased by her husband James Bunion Bunch of Yemessee, SC. The daughter of Peter John Nimphius and Mary Elizabeth Rennert. Mrs. Bunch was born in the Bronx, NY on September 1, 1901. She was retired from Western Union and moved to Florida in the 1960's, where she devoted her time to travel, painting and the arts. Survivors include cousins Andrew F. Kay, Jr., Farrah, Jennifer and Scott Kay of Boca Raton ad Stuart, FL; Charles, Chuck and Christopher Rennert of Stony Brook, NY, Evelyn Toomey of Port Richey, FL., Travalyn Lawler of CA., Ferd Nimphius, Albert E. CHESSARE - Joseph, Sr. on September 27, 1999 of Bolivia, NC formerly of Deer Park, age 74. Beloved husband of Elizabeth. Devoted father of Joseph Jr. and his wife Annette, Paul and his fiancee Cathy, and Donna Radko and her husband Greg. Cherished grandfather of Joseph III, Jonathan, Paul and Alexandria. Graduate of Pace University and Greenwich Conservatory of Music. USMC served during WWII as a frogman, UDT instructor and hand - tohand combat trainer. He was a sole survivor of his platoon on Iwo Jima. Also served in Guam, Korea and during Viet Nam as a reserve. He had over 32 years in military service and retired as a gunnery sgt. Active member of VFW, DAV, and the Marine Corps. League Assoc. Member of the Deer Park Fire Dept. for over 25 years. He was the first paramedic in the Deer Park District and advanced medical technician. Fire Commissioner for 10 years in Deer Park, and was the first director for the fire dept. marching band. CICHINSKY - Helen died on September 2, 1999 after a long courageous battle with diabetes. She is survived by her beloved and dedicated husband Leon of 48 years, a devoted daughter, Evanna, two loyal sons, Lee and Richard and their wives, Jeannine and Celine. She also leaves five grandchildren and many loving friends. Born on October 6, 1929, Helen resided for the past 39 years in Jamaica, NY. She was a dedicated worker for the priests at St. John's University in the Vincentian Residence where she was admired and loved for her ardent work, conscientiousness, creativity, jolly nature and wonderful sense of humor. She loved to travel and was very much at home in Ireland which became close to her heart. Kissing the Blarney Stone gave her the ''Gift of Eloquence'' and she had many great and funny stories to tell. She was an avid collector of salt and pepper shakers and dolls from all over the world. She was a great lover of animals and devoted to the teachings of St. Francis of Assisi. Cremation took place on September 4, 1999. A special memorial service will be held on March 18, 2000 at St. John's Chapel. If you wish, a donation in her memory to the American Diabetes Association will be appreciated. Rest in peace. DINGER - Glady. 12/1/42 - 4/7/00. The lives she touched will forever be enriched. She set the standard for the word 'dynamic' and was a person with no borders. We loved her dearly and find it difficult to express how much she will be missed. She passed on much too early, but lived a full and strong life. Born in New York City, she was a long time resident of Long Island, growing up in Elmhurst, married and lived in Smithtown and Stony Brook, raising two children with her husband, John. With her husband, she joined the Peace Corps at age 27 and lived with her family in Swaziland, Africa for four years, where she performed tirelessly for the International Red Cross in the immunization program against smallpox and diphtheria, distributing food for the UN world food program, and providing the means for health and hygiene. On her return to Long Island, she continued to serve the community working in Brentwood Pharmacy and later as a partner in Holbrook Pharmacy for the next 14 years. In 1991, Glady and her husband moved to Lake Worth, Florida where she pursued another career as a realtor. Disabling disease forced her to remain home, where she valiantly fought against a painfully unrelenting disease for five years. Glady remained a positive thinker and still made an impact on those who knew her, until her passing on April 7th. Her presence and vitality will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her husband, two children and two grandchildren survive her. FITZPATRICK - Eugene Vincent, age 73, of Jacksonville, FL, died peacefully in his sleep at home on Monday, May 8, 2000. He leaves Mildred Libath Fitzpatrick, his dear wife and best friend of 50 years; his six devoted children and their spouses: Margaret and Geoffrey Kimpton, Pattie and Chris Woodard, James J. Fitzpatrick, Sean and Marie Fitzpatrick, Mary and Russell Ammons and Kelly Fitzpatrick; his twelve adoring grandchildren; and his sister Florence L. Fitzpatrick. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Fitzpatrick and by his brothers, Raymond and James J. Fitzpatrick. A native New Yorker, Gene Fitzpatrick retired from CSX Corporation in Jacksonville, FL after a long and dedicated career in rail freight sales which started with the Louisville and Nashville Railroad in 1948. He was the President of the New York Traffic Club in 1980. The family will be receiving friends at the Edward F. Lieber Funeral Home in Valley Stream on Thursday, May 11th from 7:00 till 9:00PM. On Friday, May 12th, at 9:45AM, Father Tim Hirten will say the Funeral Mass at Holy Name of Mary Church in Valley Stream, where Gene and Mildred were married 50 years ago. GILROY - Thomas J. at the age of 25 of Oyster Bay, tragically on February 28, 2000. Devoted, loving son of Marie. Pre - deceased by his father Patrick J. Gilroy. HILLMAN - Ralph W. Jr., age 71, on May 6, 2000. Born in Brooklyn, NY, grew up in St. Albans and in 1964 moved to Holbrook, NY. Beloved husband of Ruth (Dalland) for 48 years. Dear brother of Russell and Arlene Arden. Loving father of Ralph III, Carol Milidantri, Barbara Meyers, Randolph and Linda. Cherished grandfather of nine. Ralph was an avid fisherman, a diehard Giant and Knicks Fan and relished being the first season ticket holder for our new L.I. Ducks Baseball Team. Served honorably in the U. S. Army 195153. Worked in the Consumer small Appliance Division at General Electric from 1949 - 83, then Black & Decker until retiring in 1993. During the 1950's and early 60's Ralph was active in the Christian Education Board at Hollis Presbyterian Church as a Coach for young men and women softball teams and as a Cub Master and Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America. After his retirement, Ralph became active in many community organizations including the Holbrook Triangle Civic Association, (President), Islip Town Civic Alliance (President), Sachem Community Education Advisory Council (President) and the Revitalization effort for Holbrook's Main Street. KOTOWSKI - Michael (Big Mike) Fireman, US Marine, Barman and Gentleman on April 26, 2001 in his 74th year. Beloved of Maria. Son of the late Alexandra and Stanley. KRUSINSKI - John Stanley on April 25, 2001, of Valley Stream, in his 86th year, went to meet his hea venly Father. Beloved husband of the late Olga nee Mulick. John leaves to mourn his passing and the celebration of his life, five children, Joyce Hougland, Liz and Don Nowlin, Lucille and John Higgins, Grace and Jim Rugen and John Thomas and Tara Krusinski. Cherished grandfather of John, Lisa, Andrea, Stephen, Kevin, Lyn Nora, Thomas, James, Kenneth, Stephanie, Michael, Ian, Isabella and Nicole. Loving great-grandfather of T.J. Record. LARSEN - Elizabeth Catherine, passed away at Baptist Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo., on January 19, 2001. A Memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be 11 A.M. Monday, January 22, 2001 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1357 N.E. 42nd Terr., Kansas City, Mo. Cremation. Mrs. Larsen was born in White stone, New York, April 9, 1918. Mrs. Larsen moved to the Kansas City area 8 years ago from Islip, Long Island, New York. She was a lifelong advocate for the Devel opmentally Disabled. She was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. When she was 70 years old she received her bach elors degree in Gerontology, so that she could "take care of those old people." Mrs. Larsen is sur vived by her three sons: Judge Robert E. Larsen and his wife, Roberta; Dr. Michael J. Larsen and hs wife, Jean; and Thomas L. Larsen. Grandchildren: Matthew, Thomas, and Paige Larsen; and Jennifer Kate Hadley, and Jeffrey Larsen. The family requests no flowers. (Suzy) of AZ, Kevin (Pennie) of Avon, John T . (Jeff Bailey) of NYC, Michael F. (Genia) of TX and Thomas E. (Sara) of IN; stepchildren, Ronald Webster of Sodus, Dennis Webster of Wolcott, Joseph (Sharon) Webster of GA and Dale (Sandy) Webster of Wolcott; twenty - three grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Cleary of NYC, Grace Fleming of Yonkers, Sr. Catherine Lillis of New Windsor, NY and Agnes Ballentine of MD. He was predeceased by brother, Joseph; sisters, Helen, Irene and Veronica and wife, Winifred T. Lillis in 1979. William was born in NYC on June 5, 1921. A son to Joseph and Mary O'Connor Lillis. He was a veteran of WWII and was employed by and retired from the NYPD. He was a member of the Cole - LaBluff American Legion Post 911 and Wolcott VFW and American Legion. LOCOPO - Maria Grazia (nee Giugno) age 59, on May 3, 2000 of Garden City, after a brief illness. Mrs. Locopo was born in Italy. Beloved wife of Anthony. Loving mother of James and mother in law of Laura. Cherished Nonna of Anthony and Christina. Adored sister of Cosima Lazzari and Rosetta Giugno - Pirozzi. Beloved sister-in-law of the Locopo family in Italy. Maria was an extraordinary 1st grade teacher of Homestead School. She was a recipient of the Teacher of the Year awarded by the Garden City News. Her contributions to the education of her students went beyond the classroom. The impact Maria had will last a lifetime because she inspired each child to love learning and to become a compassionate, caring person. For the past four years, Maria was president of Delta Kappa Gamma Int'l SocietyCh. Alpha Upsilon, an honorary society for women educators. Along with many other contributions to her community, she has served on the executive board of the Italian Cultural Society. She promoted cultural awareness of her native land with pride. LOVISOLO - John F., of Bethpage, LI, on July 5, 2001. Born on June 3, 1937. John was a graduate of New York City's Samuel Gompers High School 1955 and RCA Institutes 1957. He later received a bache lor's degree from Empire State Col lege and a masters in Waste Man agement from SUNY Stony Brook. After high school, he was em ployed as a technician for the Co lumbia University cyclotron and later worked for Sperry Gyroscope (1958 - 1961) and the Raytheon Corporation of Boston, MA (19611974). While on an overseas as signment with Raytheon in Foggia, Italy and later in Feltwell, England, he met his wife Lois (nee Simon) of Detroit, MI. After returning to the States, he was employed by Grum man Aerospace Corporation (1974 - 1992). He worked in a varie ty of capacities as a field service representative, software engineer and systems tester on the E - 2C, F14 and EF - 111A programs. For many years John was a member of the British Sub - Aqua Club and a SCUBA instructor in the Explorer Scouts Post 1 where he was hon ored with the Spurgeon award. He was a member of the T - bird Club fulfilling a lifetime interest in auto mobiles. He is survived by his wife Lois; his children John and Lisa, who were born in England; daughter-in-law Susanne Cook and sonin - law Robert McIver; grandchil dren Caroline, Christopher and Bi anca; his sister Viola Colletta; nephew Frank and nieces Rosean nette and Cynthia. John had an in credible sense of humor, an eye for the future and was a wonderful friend to many, many people. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. LOWEN - Dorothy, born in Cambridge, Mass., on September 5, 1908, died on August 17, 1999, in Mercy Hospital, Rockville Centre. A United States Civil Service employee for 30 years at I.R.S., F.H.A.H.U.D., retired in 1974. Moved from Jamaica, L.I., to Hempstead, L.I., in 1963 after her marrige to her second husband, Allan Lowen, who also retired in 1974 after a 31 - year position at the American Cyanamid Company in Bound Brook, N.J. During the following ten years they took cruises to the Caribbean Islands. Mr. Lowen was employed at the Island Federal Bank (later the Empire Bank) in Hempstead from 1978 to 1988, when he was operated on for colon cancer and was okay. In 1994, Mr. Lowen spent 15 days recovering from a fall in the Hempstead Village Court Building. In 1995, Mrs. Lowen suffered a minor stroke and after 90 days of rehabilitation at the United Presbyterian Residence in Woodbury, transferred to Hempstead Village Nursing Home and suffered a second stroke in 1998 and visited Mercy Hospital where she succumbed to a heart attack on August 17, 1999. Funeral Service was held at Burnett's Funeral Home, Hempstead, and burial at Pinelawn Memorial Park on Monday, August 23, 1999. All of her relatives are gone and her husband is the only person left. Let's pray for a wonderful afterlife in Heaven.

McEVOY - James J., 72, formerly of Spring Hill, FL, on October 11, 2000 at home in Howell, MI. He was born February 8, 1928 in Brooklyn, N.Y. the son of Thomas and Ellen McEvoy. Married De cember 20, 1950 at the Naval Chapel, Treasure Island, CA. He is preceded by his beloved wife of 47 years, Jean; infant son, Neil; and brother, Thomas of Waston ville, CA. Survivors include his son, James Thomas; a daughterin - law, Maria; and grandchildrenJames, Kathleen, Sean and Kel ly. Also sisters, Anna of Santa Rosa, CA and Ellen Murray of Eu reka, CA. Mr. McEvoy is a United States Navy Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, member - at - large of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Tin Can Sailors, USN, National Association of Atomic Veterans, and Plank Own er Navy Memorial Foundation. He retired from the Stroh Brewery Company in 1989, after a career of 39 years in the brewing indus try. He managed plants in Tampa, FL for the Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company, Winston-Salem, N.C. for Joseph Schlitz Brewing and Stroh Brewery, and managed Stroh Brewery in Allentown, PA just prior to retirement. Funeral Services are Saturday 10am from St. John Catholic Church, Howell, MI. MORGAN - John R. of Massapequa Park, NY died suddenly on September 23, 1999. Jack was a devoted family man and is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Virginia Farrell. Beloved father of nine children: John Jr. (Maggie), Geralyn, Brian (Anne), Ellen Berkery (Tom), Mary Kirby (Gary), Susan Marino (Rich), Thomas (Barbara), James and Robert. James in 1989. Upon retirement, he formed JRM Associates. After graduating from LaSalle Academy in 1943, he served as an officer in the United States Navy and completed his college education at St. Francis College, Brooklyn, NY in 1948, where he played basketball. His love of sports grew in his senior years as an enthusiastic golfer. Jack also enjoyed gardening, traveling, spending time with his family and was proud of his Irish heritage. MOSER - Ada Goldstein, at rest in San Francisco May 4, 2000 and reunited with her beloved husband William, who preceded her in death by 5 months. They were married for 64 1/2 years. She is survived by her loving children: William Moser, Jr., and his wife Katherine of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; and Sharonjean Leeds and her husband Richard of San Francisco. Born in Russia in 1910 Mrs. Moser was raised in the Bronx, New York, and was a longtime resident of Great Neck, NY. She belonged to a women's bowling league and was a longtime member of the Salisbury Women's Golf Club. She loved gardening, attending Broadway musicals, reading and shopping. She was completely devoted to her family and will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, May 7 at 4:00PM, preceded by a viewing from 3:00 - 4:00PM, at the Doyle B. Shaffer Funeral Home in Little Neck, N.Y. Ada will be buried next to William in Nassau County, N.Y. and they will be together again, forever. NATARO - Joseph F., M.D. of White Plains, NY died peacefuly at his home on Wednesday, October 13, 1999. He was 64 years old. Dr. Nataro graduated from the University of Maryland in 1956 and from the University of Maryland Medical School in 1959. After completing his residency in pathology at Nassau Hospital in Mineola, NY he served as a Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy from 1964 - 1966. He returned to New York following his discharge from the Navy to resume his practice as a pathologist at Nassau Hospital until 1977. After serving as Director of Pathology at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia he returned to New York in 1980 to become Director of Pathology at Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie. In 1985 he was appointed Vice President of Medical Affairs at St. Francis. In 1989 Dr. Nataro became Medical Director of Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens where he was instrumental in CMC being accredited with commendation by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. In 1977 Dr. Nataro was appointed Chief Medical Officer of Fidelis Care of New York where he helped expand the health plan's presence throughout New York State. In addition to his career as a physician and healthcare executive, Dr. Nataro was an avid hobbyist whose interests included photography, painting, building doll houses, model trains and woodworking. He was also a lifelong lover of music and opera, having trained as a young man at the Julliard School in Manhattan. Dr. Nataro is survived by Dr. Joan Paternoster, his beloved wife of 38 years. He is also survived by his son Sean Nataro, his daughter-inlaw Patricia Doehrty, and his cherished grandchildren, Cormac Francis Nataro and Claire Marie Nataro. His brother, Dr. Frank Nataro, survives him as well. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 1999 at 10:45AM at the Immaculate Conception Center, 7200 Douglaston Parkway, Queens, NY. She is survived by a daughter Doreen Estelle Baumann and son-in-law Stuart Baumann of Hilton Head Island; a son James Martin Sorenson of Brandford, FL., and three grandsons Paul Christian Yates, Jr., Mark Chandler Yates and Andrew Sorenson Yates all of Hilton Head Island. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin Peder Sorenson in 1992 and a sister Marguerite Grieve in 1995. A brief service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at Village Church in Bayville, LI. SPOFFORD - Evelyn Louise (nee Pietroski) in her 86th year on September 26, 1999 after a courageous battle for life. She is survived by her devoted husband, married 66 years, Capt. Richard T. Spofford, USN (Ret), her brother Joseph Pietroski, and four of her ten loving children: Tenney, Barry, Mary, and Daniel. Also 13 grandchildren, Cosmas, Stephen, Kathleen, Laura, Jason, Heather, Michael, Erin, Malia, Joseph, Joshua, Noah and Isaiah as well as 16 great grandchildren: Richard, Michelle, Jeffrey, Jessica, Scott, Thomas, John, Mark, Caitlin, Zachary, Emma, Michael, Jennifer, Samantha, Hank, and Samuel. Evelyn had a fascinating life as a Navy wife, mother, wartime executive secretary and LPN. VALENTINO - Louise S., 88, of The Carriage Club, Charlotte, N.C., on May 5, 2000. She was a native of Ballard, W.V., she was the daughter of the late James and Alice Skaggs Spangler. She graduated from Concord College in West Virginia, and received her Masters from New Paltz State University. She taught 2nd Grade for 32 years in Half Hollow Hills, N.Y., before retiring in 1971. WISEMAN - Kevin Michael, of Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., died on Monday, January 15, 2001, at St. Thomas Hospital in London, Eng land. He was 44. Mr. Wiseman was a principal at Banc of Ameri ca Securities LLC in New York City. He was traveling on busi ness at the time of his death. He was born September 16, 1956, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Richard and Dolores Molen Wiseman. He was a graduate of Manhattan College in Bronx, N.Y. Mr. Wiseman was the current President of the Wall Street Credit Division of the Se curities Industry Association. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Connick Wiseman, and their son, Seamus Thomas. Mrs. Wiseman is expecting their second child in March. Mr. Wiseman is also sur vived by his son, Kyle Wiseman of Massapequa, N.Y.; his mother, Dolores Wiseman of Stewart Manor, N.Y.; his father and step mother, Richard and Nancy Wise man of Sherman, Conn.; his brother, Michael Wiseman of Webster, N.Y.; his brother, Dar ren Wiseman of New York, N.Y.; his sister, Denise Menelly of Wilmington, Delaware; his sister, Suzanne Ryan of New York, N.Y., and his sister, Kerry Boyle of Floral Park, N.Y.
