TANTILLO - John Anthony, age 88, of Newburgh, NY, on January 18, 2001, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. A long time resident of Garden City and Cutchogue, NY. Husband of Linda (Egidi) Tantillo. Retired V.P./Civil Engineer for Corbetta Construction Co. in Manhattan. Decorated WW II veteran, he received the Silver Star and Bronze Star for his actions under hostile conditions. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: one son, James Tantillo of Puerto Rico, six daughters, Nina Elton, of Garrison, NY, Rita Marabelli of Goshen, NY, Andrea Podles of Germany, Mary Rice of Nelsonville, NY, Machi de Seve of Manhattan, and Juani Lawall of Maplewood, NJ.
