Also survived by his adoring grandchildren Owen, Thomas, Coogan and Elliot of Lynchburg and Matthew, Katherine and Shawn of Norfolk. His sister Catherine Thompson (Alfred) continues to live on Long Island. He was predeceased by his brothers Thomas and Joseph and sisters Anne and Lois. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held in Lynchburg on April 29, 2000. Due to his proud military service internment will be at Arlington National Cemetery in May.
