Funeral services will be on Friday, Oct. 20, 2000 at Calvary Church of God in Christ at 1 p.m. with Elder J. W. Harrison, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Perla cemetery with Brandon's Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2000 from 5-7 p.m. in the Chapel of Brandon's Mortuary of Malvern.

Dwight Randall Pankey, 68, of Malvern, passed away Wednesday morning, May 17, 2000, at the HSC Medical Center.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Shadowlawn Cemetery with Bro. Wesley Howard officiating. Burial will follow under direction of Atkinson Funeral Home.

William Earl Patton, age 82, of Benton, passed away Friday, Aug. 8, 2003. Funeral services were 10 a.m. Monday, at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Ten Mile Cemetery.
Visitation was 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Ashby's.

Rhett Parker Lipscomb, age 29, of Malvern, died unexpectedly early Thursday morning. His funeral is scheduled for two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, August 12, 2003 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from seven until nine o'clock.

Clyde Franklin Bowman, 87, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003 in Arbor Oaks Nursing Center, Malvern, Ark. A private graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003 in Alford Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Graveside services for Frank Tadero Thompson, age 45, of Dallas, Texas formally of Malvern, Ark. who died Tuesday, Aug. 2003 in the Charlton Methodist Hospital Dallas, Texas will be held Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003 at 5 p.m. at Masonic Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Brandon's Mortuary Chapel.

Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Joan community, with Brandon's Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Services will be held Thursday, April 1, 2004, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Reverend Bryan Diffee officiating. Interment will follow at the Lono Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Charlotte Kidder
Charlotte Cate Kidder, age 89, of Malvern, died Thursday afternoon, April 20, 2006 in Hot Springs after an extended illness. She was born in Haskell, Ark. on Feb. 7, 1917 to the late Lee and Addie Dobbs Cate. Reared and educated in Saline County, she had been a resident of Malvern for over 60 years. She and her late husband, Milton Kidder, established and operated the Kidder Funeral Home on Ash Street in Malvern for a number of years before ill health forced him to relinquish his career and retire. He preceded her in death in 1964. Charlotte also had owned the Lindvall Flower Shop, and had also worked as a realtor. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Malvern and was very active in the local Junior Service League.

James Edward Smith
James Edward “Pop” Smith, 57, of Malvern, the son of Thomas and Ida Smith, was born on Dec. 15, 1948, in Sheridan, Ark. James' earthly tabernacle dissolved on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at his home. James professed a steadfast hope in Jesus Christ at an early age, with St. Paul Church of God in Christ in Malvern. James enjoyed church and singing for the Lord and organized the “Men of Malvern for Christ.”

Clarence Guy pastor of Visitors Chapel A.M.E. Church speaker.

Fred Spence, Jr., age 79, of Malvern, died Thursday morning, April 20, 2006 at his home. He was born in Selma, Ark. (Drew County) on Feb. 10, 1927 to the late Fred, S. and Mattie Spence. Reared and receiving his early education in Malvern, he attended Henderson State Teachers College (now Henderson State University) and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He was the husband of the former Ruth Payne, to whom he was married on September 1, 1950 in Pine Bluff. A prominent Malvern businessman, Fred was an owner/operator of the local Western Auto Store for many years. He had served on the Board of Directors of the Malvern National Bank for over 30 years. Fred was a member of First United Methodist Church.
