Mr. Michael Farrell Dodson, 57, of Kenefick, formerly of Channelview, passed away April 15, 2005. He was born February 26, 1948 in Houston, Texas to Milton A. Dodson, Sr. & Jessie Mae Smith Dodson. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and made a living as a welder in the construction and pipeline industries. He is preceded in death by parents and one sister, Patricia Ann Stuut and one brother, Steve Allen Dodson. He is survived by daughters, Sativa Sturkey of Thomson Georgia and Jessica Kathleen Dodson of Dearing, Georgia; by brother Milton Dodson of Houston and six grandchildren, Commodore Howell, Jr., Courtney Howell, Keith Howell, Kealee Sturkey, Chase Brooks, and Blake Brooks. Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements with Carter Funeral Home.

Wayne Wayland Waudby, 60, of Houston, passed away April 10, 2005. He was born February 11, 1945 in Siren, Wisconsin to Wayland & Florence Ruth Waudby. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 37 years, Diana Louise Waudby of Houston; son, Shawn Patrick Waudby & wife Yukari of Houston; daughters, Tracy Waudby of White Plains, New York; Jennifer Thompson & husband James of Liberty; Rebecca Waudby of Crosby; and Shannon Crenshaw of Houston; he also leaves sister, Eileen Dietrich and brothers, Norman Waudby and William Waudby all of Wichita, Kansas; along with grandchildren, Shane, Tommy, Katlin,Rhys, Andrew, Dokaine, Skylur, Shade, Ashlann and Ai Laura. Graveside services are pending in Houston National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with full military honors under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.
Ivy Dewein Bowman
Ivy Dewein Bowman, 87, of Houston, went home to be with her Lord April 9, 2005. She was born February 11, 1918 in Beckville, Texas to Bradley C. & Bonnie Day Cordrey. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William Thomas Bowman in 2002. She was also preceded by son, Jan Tyler Bowman and grandson, Darrell Thomas Bowman. She is lovingly survived by daughters, Judy Johnson and Mary Bowman Michel both of Houston; and son & daughter-in-law, Gerald & LaDean Bowman of Houston. She also leaves two sisters, Madeline Smith of Arlington, Texas and Alva Jean Wills of Penrose, Colorado ; along with grandchildren, Jan Howard McWhorter, Noel Craig Bowman and Terry Dean Bowman.
Services celebrating her life were held Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at Carter Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Brady officiating. She was laid to rest in South ParkCemetery in Pearland, Texas under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.
Minnie Louise Smith
Minnie Louise Smith, 86, of Crystal Beach, formerly of Houston, went home to be with her Lord April 4, 2005. She was born September 23, 1918 in Galveston, TX to John Henry Kaiser & Elizabeth Henderson Kaiser. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Raymond Cyr in 1955 and Louis E. Smith in 1989. She is lovingly survived by daughters & sons-in-law, Ellie & Jerry McDonald of Sheldon; LaVerne & Larry Graham of Crystal Beach; Cindy Benjamin of Houston; sons & daughters-in-law, John & Joyce Cyr of Crystal Beach, Texas; Clarence & Eleanor Cyr of LaMarque, Texas; Mike & Judy Cyr of Crosby; and Ronald & Debra Cyr of Sheldon; as well as by 23 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Services celebrating her life were held Wednesday, April 6, 2005 with Rev. John Brady and son, Clarence Cyr officiating. She was laid to rest in San Jacinto Memorial Park undre the direction of Carter Funeral Home. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Johnny Cyr, Kenny McDonald, Raymond Roderick, Michael Cyr, Raymond Cyr, Ronald Cyr, Brett Cyr, Nathan Cyr, Beau Cyr and Gerald McDonald.
Lee J. "Bubba" Martin
Lee J. "Bubba" Martin, Jr. 40, of Baytown, passed away May 31, 2005. He was born Oct. 9, 1964 in Houston to Lee J.Martin Sr. and Murzie Elizabeth Murray Martin. He was a 14 year veteran of the Harris County Sheriff's Department and a member of F.O.P. He was preceded in death by a step-father, Randy Fick. He is lovingly survived by father, Lee J. Martin, Sr. & wife Sandi of Coldsprings, Texas; mother, Murzie Mercer of Houston; Step-mother, Margie Fick of Houston; sons, Adam Folden of Houston and Brandon Malkowsky of Highlands; daughter, Sarah Malkowsky of Conroe, Texas; fiance, Josie Thomas of Pasadena; sisters, Lanise Quinn & husband JoeQuinn of Houston; and Wanda Cadwallader & husband Lewis also of Houston; brothers, Kenneth Fick and wife, Robin of Houston; and Michael Fick and wife Angie of Pearland; nieces & nephews, Zachary, Kenneth, Jr., Dixie, Mikaela, Daisy, Alyssa, Josilyn, Sabryna, and Sidney; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Joseph Frank Brocken, Sr.
Joseph Frank Brocken, Sr., 88, of Houston, passed away May 31, 2005 after a long illness. He was born March 4, 1917 in Houston, Texas to Norbert Frank & Mary Alice Brocken. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 42 years, Arrene L. Brocken of Houston;son, Joseph Frank Brocken, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Althea Perry of LaPorte, Texas; Betty Loving and Vonnabeth Melton both of Houston; Varinia Gann of Manchaca, Texas and Vera Powell of Channelview. He is also survived by one sister, Jessie Muckelroy of Tomball, Texas and two brothers, Jimmy Broken of Manvel, Texas and Norbert Brocken of Tomball; as well as by 10 grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Services were Thursday, June 2, 2005 at Carter Funeral Chapel with military honors by the American Legion Post 521. He was laid to rest Friday June 3, in Perry Cemetery in Houston, Texas under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.
Ysedro E. Razo
Ysedro E. Razo, 83, of Dayton, formerly of Cloverleaf, passed away May 11, 2005. Mr. Razo was born May 15, 1921 in Baytown ( Goose Creek ), Texas to Augustin Razo & Paula Espinosa Razo. Mr. Razo retired from the U.S. Army after 29 years serving during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was preceded in death by wife Adelina Razo in 1992 and by son, Ronald S. Razo in 2004 and by one brother, Salvador Razo Sr.. He is survived by step-daughter, Rita Harden of Tacoma, Washington; adopted daughter & son-in-law, Paulette & James Patty of Dayton; daughter-in-law, Brenda Razo of Houston; sister, Mary Vasquez of Baytown; brothers, Simon Razo and Juan Razo both of California; Antonio Razo, Alfred Razo and Augustin Razo Jr. all of Baytown; as well as grandchildren, Jamie Cantrill, Lisa Terry, Gene Cantrill and Erika Weatherford; and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at Houston National Cemetery, Friday, May 13, 2005 with full military honors by the V.F.W. District 4 Memorial Team under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Justin J. Hurd, 29, of Channelview, passed away suddenly May 10, 2005. He was born July 5, 1975 in Atlantic, Iowa. He attended school in the Channelview I.S.D. Eulalia Ramirez Lopez, 83, of Houston, passed away May 6, 2005. She was born December 10, 1921 in Mayaguez Puerto Rico to Marcos & Isabel Ramirez. She is lovingly survived by sons, Alfredo Lopez and Marcos Lopez; daughters, Isabel Lopez, Teresa Vargas, Eulalia Gaudier, Dolly Zaligman and Linda Ruiz; along with 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Services were held in Mayaguez Memorial Funeral Home in Puerto Rico and she was laid to rest in the Municipal Cemetery of Mayaguez. Local arrangements were with Carter Funeral Home.

Rudolfo John "Rudy" Arredondo, 50, of Houston, passed away suddenly May 5, 2005 in Houston. He was born May 6, 1954 in Jacinto City to Sylvestre & Herminia Munoz Arredondo. Carlton Ellis Killough "Red", 78, of Houston, passed away May 3, 2005. Mr. Killough was born Feb. 18, 1927 in ElCampo, Texas to Earl Wayne & Eulah Lee Killough. "Red" served in the U.S. Marines during World War II and retired from AT & T, formerly Southwestern Bell after 36 years. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 10462. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, Thelma J. Killough in 2003. He is lovingly survived by sons, Carl Wesley Killough of Houston; and Charles Alan Killough & wife Wanda of South Carolina; daughters, Terry Honeycutt of Houston and Sherry Price of Highlands; by brother, Jesse Killough; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and niece and nephews, Kathy Davidson, David Strong and Mark Kent. Samuel Davidson, 64, of Houston, went home to be with his Lord May 1, 2005. He was born November 24, 1940 in Benavides, Texas to Adam Henry & Elvira Davidson. He served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea. He worked for 25 years with the Harris County Maintenance Department in Precinct 2. He is preceded in death by his father Adam Davidson and by brother Joe Davidson.
He is lovingly survived by wife of 41 years, Jessie Rodriguez Davidson of Houston; son, Adam Davidson & wife Mayda of Houston; daughter Veronica Miles and husband Woody of Houston; mother, Elvira Davidson of Houston; brothers, Henry Davidson & wife Margie; and Baldemar Davison & wife Lorenza all of Houston; sisters, Helen Balderas & husband Luis of Albany, Oregon and Rachael Saldivar & husband Hector of Sun City, Arizona; as well as by grandsons, Adam Johnathan Miles and Aaron Spenser Miles.

Geraldine Mock, 82, of Galena Park, passed away June 26, 2005 after a long illness. She was born August 9, 1922 in Folkston, Georgia to Arthur Clemons and Myrtie Yancy Clemons. Lula Marie (Doerrich) Knapek, 84, of Jacinto City, went to be with her Lord June 17, 2005. She was born April 23, 1921 in Hallettsville, Texas to Frank Doerrich & Olga Schlottmann Doerrich. She was preceded in death by her parents, by one son, Leroy James Barton and by her beloved husband, Cyril Frank Knapek. She is lovingly survived by daughter, Betty Jo Wooten of Jacinto City; sons, Cyril Robert "Bob" Knapek of Jacinto City; and David Gene Knapek of South Carolina; and by sisters, Cleo M. Janicek of Schulenburg, Tx and Hazel L. Kobersky of LaGrange, Tx; as well as by grandson, Robert Glen Wooten, Jr. and great-grandchildren, Breanna Nicole Wooten, James Leroy Wooten and Hailey JoAnne Wooten. John Paul Rutledge
Rev. John Paul Rutledge, Sr., 79, of Galena Park, Texas, passed away June 15, 2005. He was born July 13, 1925 in Poteet ( Atascosa County ), Texas to James & Marie Rutledge. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and served his Lord for many years as a minister of the gospel. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Madeline Shaw Rutledge in 1994 as well as by his parents and one brother, Robert Rutledge. He is lovingly survived by son, John Paul Rutledge, Jr. of Houston; daughter, Donna Capps & husband, Bobby from Crosby, Texas; brothers, James Rutledge and Frank Rutledge both of San Antonio, Texas; and sister, Helen Kight of Pleasanton, Texas; as well as by three grandchildren, Jason, Shawn and Joy and one great-grandchild, David Carl. Services are 10:00 a.m. Monday June 20, 2005 at Carter Funeral Chapel. He was privately laid to rest in Calvary Hill Cemetery in Humble.
James Calvin Terrell
James Calvin Terrell, Jr., 57, of Houston, passed away June 14, 2005. He was born November 22, 1947 in Houston to James C. Terrell Sr. & Era Mae Terrell. He was a Vietnam Veteran with service in the U.S. Navy and worked as a pipefitter for the Pipefitter's Local 211 out of South Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as by his twin brother, Calvin Eugene Terrell. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 13 years, Debora Terrell of Houston; sons, Tom Terrell and Todd Terrell of Victoria, Texas; daughter, Honey Bennett of Corsicana TX; sisters, Janet Perez and Gay Carter both of Coppell, Texas and brother, Ronnie Terrell also of Coppell, Tx; sister-in-law, Betty Terrell, a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a dear family friend, Cynda Willis and beloved pets, Bubba, Princes, Grady, Chelsea, Pebbles and Missy. Services were 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Carter Funeral Chapel and interment
followed at Grandview Cemetery in Pasadena with military honors by the American Legion Post 521 Memorial Team.
James Lee Cornelius
James Lee Cornelius "BoBo", age 32, of Channelview, passed away July 28, 2005. He was born August 29, 1972 in Houston, to James O. Cornelius and Judy Ann Taylor Cornelius. He was a graduate of C.E. King High School Class of 1991 and was very active with NRA and worked at Southern Firearms in Channelview. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Judy Cornelius and Dale Patin of Channelview; father, James O. Cornelius of Cushing, Texas; sister, Glenda Riordan of Houston; step-sister, Julee Patin of Channelview; as well as by grandmother, Ineva Taylor; nieces and nephew, Kristin & Kayla Riordan and Lexee & Zachary Patin-Taylor; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Services celebrating BoBo's short life were held Monday August 1, 2005 with Rev. John A. Brady officiating. He was laid to rest in San Jacinto Memorial Park under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.
Mariamma Pappachan
Our beloved Mariamma Pappachan went home to be with her Lord on July 25, 2005 at the age of 59. She was born August 18, 1945 in Kerala, India, the daughter of the late C.J. John and Mrs. Rachalamma John. She came to know the Lord and baptized at the age of 21 while attending Patna Medical College. She was married to Pastor Pappachan Ozhumannil in February 1975 and came to the United States in 1977. She was employed by the East Houston Medical Center for 25 years as a registered nurse. She made several missionary trips to India and played a vital role in the ministries of the Full Gospel Church of God which was established by her family in 1993. She was a prayer warrior and a blessing to everyone she met.
She is survived by her husband Pastor Pappachan Ozhumannil; son & daughter-in-law, Georgie & Pheba Pappachan and son, Jacob Pappachan. Services celebrating her life were held Thursday, July 28 at Carter Funeral Chapel and she was laid to rest in San Jacinto Memorial Park under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

William Lawrence "Bill" Ridings, 64, of Houston, passed away July 25, 2005. Bill was born March 2, 1941 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Earl Stanley Ridings and Minnie Irene (Roberts) Ridings. He worked for Crown Central Petroleum retiring in 1996 after 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and by sister, Carol Ridings and brother, Wayne Ridings. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Thelma Jean Ridings of Houston; sons, David Ridings of Pasadena; Bryan Ridings of Houston; Gary Bellinger of Livingston; daughters, Lynette Ridings of Pasadena; Sherry Stephens of Friendswood; Elizabeth Runco of Livingston; Terri Newton of Dallas; Susan Faulkner of Shephard and Deborah Riggins of Livingston; as well as by brothers, Ronnie Brock and Tim Brock of Pasadena, and Tommy Brock of Bandera;as well as sisters, Janet Downey of Boerne, Tx and Joyce Norwood of Bandera,Tx ; and 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday July 27 at Carter Funeral Chapel. Bill was laid to rest in Norris Memorial Gardens in Clinton, Tennessee on Saturday July 30, 2005 under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Ms. Martha Kay Asher, 57, of Houston, went to be with her Lord July 25, 2005. Ms. Asher was born September 5, 1947 in Winona, Mississippi to James Edward Ellingburg and Mildred Dolores Taylor Ellingburg. She had worked with Woodforest National Bank as a personal banker for many years. She is preceded in death by both of her parents. She is lovingly survived by brothers, Eddie Ellingburg & wife Debbie; Tommy Ellingburg & wife Sharon all of Houston;and sister, Shelley Ross & husband Rusty also of Houston; She also leaves Nephew, Chad, and Nieces, Brittani & Courtney; Aunts & Uncles, Claire Edwards & Family, Sonny Taylor & Family, Elvie Lee Stone & Family; Hiram Ellingburg & Family; and Harlen Ellingburg & Family; along with her beloved pet, Ashes.
