Jamie Sue Cranford, 61, of Channelview, passed away October 12, 2005. She was born March 12, 1944 in Dallas, Texas to James McCallum and Nelda Ruth Phillips McCallum. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Jesse Cranford of Channelview; sons, Jesse Cranford, III of Georgia; John Cranford of Tomball; and James Cranford of Channelview; daughters, Jacqueline Markum of Lott, Tx; and Jamie E. Cranford of Houston; as well as by sister, Nelda Ruth Andrews of Dallas, Tx; and brothers, Floyd McCallum of New Waverly; and Mark A. McCallum of Forney, Texas and 14 grandchildren.
Memorial Services were 7:00 p.m. Saturday October 15 at Dell Dale Tabernacle at 15338 South Brentwood, Channelview with Rev. Virgil Watson officiating. Sue will be privately laid to rest in Longcreek Cemetery in Sunnyvale, Texas beside her parents. Arrangements with Carter Funeral Home.

Arthur McDonald Jordan, 60, of Houston, passed away October 11, 2005. He was born August 17, 1945 in Goosecreek ( Baytown ), Texas to Elbert Wesley Jordan and Laveda McDonald Jordan. He is survived by son, Josh Jordan of Pasadena ; wife, Liza Marie Jordan of Houston ; brothers, Albert Jordan of Arkansas and Frank Jordan of Iuka, Mississippi ; and by sisters, Velma Lometa Wallace of Huntsville, Texas and Delores Jean Amaimo of Houston TX. A Graveside inurnment will be 1:00 p.m.Wednesday October 19, 2005 in Houston National Cemetery with military honors by the VFW Distr. 4 Memorial Team, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Baby Ethan Anthony Gage Harris, entered into heaven October 4, 2005. Little Ethan is survived by his parents, Angelina Flores and Andy W. Harris of Channelview. He also leaves one sister, Shainah Flores of Channelview; grandparents, Carol Bienek of Channelview; Raul Flores of Houston; Diana Harris and Roger Lewing of Pasadena; and great-grandparents, Shirley Lewis of California; Betty Franklin, Gary Franklin and Andrew Anderson all of Kerrville, Texas. Graveside services were held in San Jacinto Memorial Park, Friday, October 7, 2005 under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Mack Edward Davidson
Mack Edward Davidson, 62, of Houston, went home to be with his Lord & Savior October 3, 2005. He was born October 14, 1942 in Houston, Texas to Edward Sherwin Davidson & Ione "Helen" Morris Davidson. He worked as an operator for Lyondell in Pasadena and was a member of First Baptist Church of North Channel. He is preceded in death by his parents and is lovingly survived by his wife of 45 years, Cherly Francies Decker Davidson of Houston; sons & daughters-in-law, James & Debbye Davidson of Houston; Cary & Loretta Davidson of Huntsville; and Craig & Angela Davidson of Houston; as well as eight grand-children, Mack Davidson, II, John Davidson, Allen Davidson, Craig Davidson, Jr., Roger Davidson, Shannon Davidson, Ashley Perryman and Stephanie Davidson.
Services celebrating Mack's life were held Friday, October 7, 2005 at First Baptist Church of North Channel with Rev. Carey Trickey officiating. He was laid to rest in San Jacinto Memorial Park under the direction of Carter Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were Craig Davidson, Jr., Roger Davidson, Shannon David-son, Jeff Marksberry, Ronnie Patterson and Ray Patterson.

Celia Ione Marini
Celia Ione Marini, 64, of Houston, went home to be with her Lord October 1, 2005 after a long illness. She was born October 24, 1930 in Plumcreek, Iowa to Edson M. "John" Gross and Alice A. Haarrison Gross. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Joseph Marini in June of 2002 as well as by parents. She is lovingly survived by sons, John Marini of Houston; David & wife, Patty Marini of Mesquite, Texas and Phillip & wife Sherrie Marini of Canton, Texas; as well as by brothers, Ronnie Gross, Alvin Gross and Linden Gross and sisters, Joanne, Ermadell Knutson and Evelyn. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, Michael, Clinton, Stacey, Josh, Amber, Brandi, and Robbi.
Services celebrating her life were held Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at Carter Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Marini officiating. She was laid to rest in Houston National Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Kenneth Taylor Mullins
Kenneth Taylor Mullins, 74, of Jacinto City, passed away November 28, 2005. He was born February 7, 1931 in Duck Hill, Mississippi to Walter Henry Mullins and Tommie Tyler Mullins. He was a reserve officer for Jacinto City Police Depart-ment for 10 years and was a member of Sterling Wood Church since 1996. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Ann Mullins in 1997 and is lovingly survived by sons, Rickie Mullins & wife Jackie of Houston; and Kenny Mullins also of Houston; daughters, Jan Berry & husband Micky of Jacinto City and Gina Marin & husband Enrique of Houston; sisters, Sue Patton and Gloria Jean Henderson both of Duck Hill, Mississippi; as well as by grandchildren, Krystal & Kimberly Berry, Bradley Mullins, Justin Mullins, Rickie Mullins; Jeffrie Mullins, Robbie Mullins and Taylor Marin. Services were held Friday December 2, 2005 at Sterling Wood Church with Rev. Dale Jones and Pastor Rick Blount officiating. He was laid to rest in Brookside Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Travis Wade Rose, 44, of Channelview, passed away November 24, 2005. He was born October 6, 1961 in Richmond, Indiana to Paul Winford Rose and Joan Marie Rose. He is lovingly survived by wife, Christine Sheraton of Channelview ; daughters, Ashley Rose of Crosby and Jaime Ward of Mississippi ; mother, Joan Rose and father Paul Rose both of Ohio ; brother, Joseph P. Rose & wife Tonja of Kingwood; sisters, Desra K. Sorrell, Teresa Sisco and Kimberly Rose. Lois White Spruill, 75, of New Caney, formerly of Deer Park, went to be with her Lord November 23, 2005. She was born January 21, 1930 in Louisville, Mississippi to Archie Nathan Thrasher and Ethel Leach Vowell Thrasher. She was preceded in death by husband Winford Troy White in 1958 and by husband, Joe Bob Spruill in 2000. She is lovingly survived by her children, Lynda Marie White of New Caney; Bonnie Sue Downs & husband Milton of Conroe, Texas; Betty Lou Sommers & husband Thomas of New Caney; and Billy Joe Spruill & wife Jennifer of LaPorte; and April Lynn Spruill & husband David of New Caney; grandchildren, A.J. Downs & wife Rachel, Quentin Downs, Tanya Delacerda, Nolie Sommers, Abbey Spruill, Gabriella Spruill, Haley Turner, E.J. Dinah Kay Tapper
Dinah Kay Tapper, 62, of Houston, passsed away November 23, 2005. She was born November 8, 1943 in Birmingha, Alabama to Robert Corry Buttram and Flora Ocile Reaves Buttram. She was preceded in death by both parents and by her beloved husband Robert Tapper in 1999. She worked for HL&P for 15 years before retiring in the 80's. Memorial services will be held Friday, December 2, 2005 in Dayton, Texas.

Gilbert Hensley, 48, of South Houston, passed away November 22, 2005. He was born July 21, 1957 in Robstown, Texas to Steve Hensley and Aggie Zapata Hensley. He is lovingly survived by his father, Steve Hensley of Kerrville, Tx; mother and step-father, Aggie & Rich St.Clair of South Houston; brother, Richard Dean Hensley of Pearland; and sister, Lilly Flores of Huffman, Texazs; and by nieces & nephews, Becky, Adam & Justin and Mickey, Tifany, & Lottie. Viola Kathryn Stegall, 90, of Channelview, went home to be with her Lord & Savior November 21, 2005. She was born February 9, 1915 in Sedalia, Missouri to Charles Franklin Cramer and Minerva Agnes Allen Cramer. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband William Calvin Stegall Sr. in 1981 and by one grandson, Richard Gilbert Carver Jr.. She is survived by daughters, Mary Kimble & husband J.D. of Channelview; Alice Faye Pierce of Channelview; and Patricia Ann Boyle & husband Jimmy also of Channelview; by sons, William Calvin Stegall Jr. & wife Lois of Nacogdoches; Richard Wayne Stegall & wife Lina of Flour Bluff, Texas and by James Michael Stegall of Channelview; by brother, L.T. Cramer of Houston; and by 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grand-children and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Services celebrating her beautiful life were held Friday, November 25, 2005 at Carter Funeral Chapel with Rev. Virgil Watson, Rev. Wayne Moss and Rev. Ron Blackerby officiating. She was laid to rest beside her husband in San Jacinto Memorial Park under the direction of Carter Funeral Home. Sally Elaine Owens, 48, of Channelview, passed away November 20, 2005. She was born September 30,1957 in Houston, Texas to Bennie A. Stockwell and Mae M. Ryter Stockwell. She is loving survived by husband James A. Owens of Channelview; sons, Kevin "Scott" Bryce and David Lynn Bryce, Jr. both of Timpson, Texas; mother, Mae M. Harris of Humble, Texas; brother, Richard Stockwell of Houston; sisters, Dixie Starnader of Houston; Bennie Sue Beaty of New Caney, Texas; Christine Starnader of Highlands, Texas; Maxine Hall of Timpson and Cindy Coffey of Tennessee; as well as her two precious grand-children, Colton Bryce and Chloe Bryce. Karen Janoyce Watts Braun, 51, of Highlands, passed away November 18, 2005. She was born November 9, 1954 in Austin, Texas to Franklin D. Watts and Norma Jean Hendricks Watts. She was employed by Brown & Root for 20 years. She is survived by one son & daughter-in-law, Jason & Misty Dixon of Beckville, Texas; mother & step-father, Jeanie & Wayne Moses of LaPorte, Texas; and father, Franklin D. Watts of Cypress, Texas; brother, Beau Watts of Beckville; sisters, Diana Hargrove of Highlands; Kathy Holloway of LaPorte; Donna Chamblee of Deer Park; and Kim Gray of Beckville; as well as her precious grandchildren, Destyn, Britnie, Jase, Keri, and Landon Dixon. Bobby Wilson
Bobby W. Wilson, 56, of Highlands, passed away November 14, 2005. He was born May 23, 1949 in Danville, Virginia. He came to Texas 35 years ago and worked for Tuberscope for 30 years until he retired. He was preceded in death by mother, Dorothy James and daughter, Katrina Jackson. He was married to Kathy Treybig and later married Brenda Jackson. He is survived by children, Chris Wilson, April Deadrich and Tommy Jackson; grandchildren, Camryn Deadrich, Nathan Deadrich, and Belinda VanTassel and by one sister Tammy Foster; several aunts, uncless, cousins & friends in Virginia and in Texas. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2005 at Carter Funeral Chapel. He will be laid to rest in San Jacinto Memorial Park under the direction of Carter Funeral Home. Bobby wanted his family and friends to know he loved each of you in his own unique way.

Lola Mae McDowell
Lola Mae McDowell, 77 of Katy, formerly of Houston, went home to be with her Lord November 13, 2005. She was born Oct. 29, 1928 in Electra, Texas to Josiah & Pearl Cordell. She married David Bryan McDowell Sr. on March 27, 1948. She worked for Anchor Hocking for over 10 years and raised a beautiful family. She is lovingly survived by her husband of 57 years, David McDowell, Sr. of Katy, Texas; son & daughter-in-law, David B. McDowell Jr. & wife Brenda of Crosby; daughters, Tammy Nigro & husband Michael of Katy; and Debra Colwell & fiance Jeff Saeger also of Katy; along with grandchildren, Chad Moree, Jason McDowell, Kevin McDowell, Natalia Nigro, and Christian Nigro; great-grandchildren, Ashley Moree, Trevor McDowell, Christopher Garcia, Lauren Garcia and Cassie Gutierez; great-great-grandchild, Gabriel Gutierez; along with brother, Charles Burton Cordell of Highlands and Samantha Starr of Baytown. Services were held Thursday, November 17, 2005 at Uvalde Baptist Church with Rev. Galen Cooper officiating. She was laid to rest in San Jacinto Memorial Park under the direction of Carter Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Cliff Jackson, Glen Cordell, Lawrence McAllister, Madison McDowell, Andrew Early and Chris Early.

Wayne Edward Weldon, 66, of Porter, formerly of Houston, passed away November 11, 2005 at his home. He was born March 9, 1939 in Houston to Robert Leonard Weldon and Lena Mae Williams Weldon. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; as well as by step-father Louis A. Williams and brother, Charles L. Weldon. She is preceded in death by parents, Luther E. Musgrove and Byrd Antoinette Musgrove and by birth father, Walker Anders. Toaville "Henry" Quebodeaux, 75, of Houston, passed away December 28, 2005 in Pasadena, Texas. He was born Oct.8, 1930 in Crowley, Louisiana to Toeville Quebodeaux and Ada Marie Duhon Quebodeaux. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his beloved wife Judith Renee Quebodeaux; by sister, Gladys Gould and by three brothers, Francis Quebodeaux, Allen Toups and Alvin Toups. He made a living as a welder and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict with service in the U.S. AirForce and the U.S. Army. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 10462 in Cloverleaf. He is survived by son & daughter-in-law, Gordon & Terri Quebodeaux Sr. of Houston; daughters, Christina Poe of Houston; sisters, Mabel Breaux, Cecile Cormier and Lydia Kuffler all of Crowley, Louisiana and Ella Smith of Highlands, Texas; as well as by two grandchildren, Gordon Quebodeaux Jr. and Zachary Gage. Services celebrating his life were held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2005 at CarterFuneral Chapel with John Haymon officiating. He was laid to rest in San Jacinto Memorial Park under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by both parents and is lovingly survived by husband, Glen Charles Eskew of Channelview; daughter, Lisa C. Eskew of Channelview; sons, Jared Dane Rougeou of Houston and Glen Charles Eskew, III of Sulphur Springs, Tx; sister, Robin Hope Rougeou of Smithville, TX; Steven Rougeou of Baytown and James Earl "Sonny Boy" Rougeou of Luling;as well as grandchild, Jayden Ann Eskew. Philip Aaron Aguillard
Philip Aaron Aguillard, 66, of Channelview, passed away December 27, 2005. He was born August. 23, 1939 in Oberlin, Louisiana to Sullivan Aguillard and Yvonne Guillory Aguillard. He was preceded in death by mother Yvonne Aguillard and by one brother, Michael Aguillard. Philip was a member of the I.L.A. Local 24 where he worked as a crane operator on the Houston Ship Channel for over 40 years before retiring. He is survived by son & daughter-in-law, Aaron & Lauri Aguillard of Baytown; daughter & son-in-law, Marie & David Paulus of Atascocita; by father, Sullivan "Buddy" Aguillard of Oberlin, Louisiana; brothers, James "Sug" Aguillard of Montgomery, Texas; Bernard Aguillard and Tony Aguillard both of Pasadena, Texas; Leonard Aguillard of Houston; sisters, Bernadette Mougeot, and Jenny Rea both of Oberlin, Louisiana; Evelyn Colligan of Church Point, Louisiana; Beth Breeland of Ruston, Louisiana; Theresa "Tweety" McGee of Oberlin and Rita Miller of Pasadena, Texas; as well as by grandchildren, Kyle David Paulus and Rachel Marie Paulus; Alyssa Marie Aguillard and Sara Ann Aguillard. A Mass of Christian Burial was recited by Father Christopher Shackelford Thursday, December 29, 2005 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Channelview. Philip was laid to rest in Oberlin City Cemetery, Oberlin, Louisiana under thedirection of Carter Funeral Home.

Billy Eugene Chastain
Billy Eugene Chastain, Sr., 71, of Jacinto City, passed away December 27, 2005 in a Baytown hospital. He was born August 5, 1934 in Atlanta, Georgia to Robert & Mae Elenor Chastain. Bill retired as a Lieutenant with the Jacinto City Police Department after 25 years. He was an avid fisherman where he was often found fishing around Lake Houston. He is survived by children, Billy Eugene Chastain, Jr. of Crosby, Texas ; Gary Chastain of Jacinto City ; Randy Chastain of Houston ; Barbara Joanne Lowrie of Montgomery, Texas and Richard Chastain of Baytown, Texas. He also leaves behind brothers, Bennie Chastain, Dewey Chastain; and sisters, Barbara Miller, Lorraine, and Sharon Mabin; along with 9 grand-children and three great-grandchildren. Memorial services celebrating Bill's life will be held 11:00 am. Saturday, January 7, 2006 at Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Leonard Ward officiating.

Thelma Earle Weygandt
Thelma Earle Weygandt, 73, of Houston, went home to be with her Lord December 22, 2005. She was born Oct. 31, 1932 in Bedias, Texas to Charles Emmett Bracewell and Rebekah Earleen Hadaway Bracewell. She grew up in the Huntsville area where she attended and graduated from Huntsville High School class of 1949. It was in school that she met her beloved husband of 54 years and 7 months Robert Beal "Bob" Weygandt. They married on May 24, 1951. She attended Sam Houston State for two years and lived in the Houston area for about 50 years. She was a member of Uvalde Baptist Church since 1977. She was past president of the Grace Sunday School Class; she was very active in the WMU where she did Mission Studies for one year; she was active in the Senior Citizen Group-Keenagers; the "God's Special People" group; the Deacons Wife Association; She often volunteered to cook on the Wednesday Night Supper and always loved entertaining in her home with Friends and Family. She will be greatly missed by her husband and family; as well as by her church family and friends. Services celebrating her life were held Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Uvalde Baptist Church with Rev. Galen Cooper officiating. She was laid to rest in Brookside Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Jessie Mae Cloud Farquhar
Jessie Mae Cloud Farquhar, 96,of Galena Park, went to meet her savior on December17, 2005. She was preceded in death by husband Charlie Farquhar, son, James Martin, grandson, Gary Lee Armstrong, granddaughter Dee Ann Grissom and by 8 siblings. She leaves behind two daughters, Doris Grissom & husband Manuel of Galena Park; and Rosalie Armstrong of Livingston, TX and by one son, Preston Farquhar & wife Ruth of Signal Mountain, TN.; one sister, Hazel Stoke of Monroeville, Alabama. She also leaves 5 grandchildren, 14 great-grand-children and 2 great-great-grandsons; along with many nieces, and nephews. She was a member of Holland Avenue Baptist for 50 years before moving her letter to Second Baptist Church of Galena Park. Services were 10:00 am Wednesday, December 21 at Carter Funeral Chapel with Pastor Chester Poston officiating. She was laid to rest in San Jacinto Memorial Park. The family wishes to extend a special thanks for the care & support given while at Afton Oaks Nursing Care and by Regency Hospice.

Katherine Estes Weaver
Katherine Estes Weaver, 91, of Highlands, went home to be with her Lord & Savior, December 14, 2005. She was born March 13, 1914 in Port Arthur, Texas to James Virgil Estes and Mary Anna Kotz Estes. She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Weaver in 1968. She is lovingly survived by two sons, Bobby J. Weaver & wife Kathy of Highlands and David Weaver of Richmond, TX; by brother, Howard Russell Estes of Woodville, Texas; as well as by two grandsons, Jason Allen Weaver and Brandon Michael Weaver and great-grand-child, Zane Tyler Weaver. Services celebrating her life were held Friday, December 16, 2005 at First Baptist Church of Highlands with Pastor Tim Edward officiating. She was laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Port Arthur, Texas under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Goldie Skolnik
Goldie Skolnik, 87, of Houston, formerly of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away December 13, 2005. She was born Oct. 30, 1918 in Omaha, Nebraska to Abraham Krisberg and Jenny Kolpack Krisberg. She was preceded in death by her parents, by one brother Tavy Krisberg and by husband Leo Skolnik. She is lovingly survived by daughter, Robin Skolnik of Houston and son, Geoffrey Skolnik of Tuscon, Arizona. Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

Vincent George Cockett
Vincent George Cockett, 68, of Houston, passed away December 10, 2005. He was born September 30, 1937 in Old Harbor, Jamaica to Herbert Cockett and Euphemia Leiba Cockett. He had worked for Pilgrim / Ryan Cleaners in the Northshore area for over 20 years. He was preceded by father Herbert Cockett and by mother Euphemia Martin and is lovingly survived by sisters, Carmen Nobles of Jamaica, Noreen Barker of Sugarland, Texas and Sheila Carless also of Jamaica. As well as by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial Services celebrating Vincent's life were held Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Carter Funeral Chapel with Mr. John Haymon and friends officiating.

Michael Douglas Irwin, 55, of Houston, passed away December 7, 2005 at his home after a long illness. He was born July 27, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas to Oren Bill Irwin and Maurine Camp Irwin. He is preceded in death by his parents and by one brother. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 11 years, Kerry Pomeleo Irwin of Houston; daughters & sons-in-law, Adeanna Marie & Frank Martinez ofCisco, Texas; Heather E. & Chad Ray Rogers of Cisco, Texas; brothers, Thomas D. Irwin & wife Roxie of Montogomery, TX; William D. Irwin & wife Sylvia of Houston; and Ronald D. Irwin & wife Kathy of Normangee, TX; by mother-in-law, Jewel Marie Higgins of Houston and 7 grandchildren, Emiley Ruth Martinez, Austin Taylor Martinez, Ryan Olivia Martinez, Evan Douglas Martinez, Clayton Lee McElroy, Darian Rae Rogers and Allyson Marie Rogers. Karen Lynn Fincher, 45, of Pearland, Texas, passed away December 5, 2005 in a local hospital. Shewas born September 30, 1960 in New London, Conneticut to Gary Jack Chambers and Carole Jean Hollis. She is lovingly survived by her sons, Keith Fincher & daughter-in-law, Eran of Pearland; and Kirk Fincher of Houston; mother, Carole J. Potts of McDonough, Georgia and father, Gary Chambers of Carrolton, Georgia; and brother, Craig Steven Chambers of Grovetown, GA. Memorial Services will be held 10:00 am Thursday, December 8, 2005 at Easthaven Baptist Church in Houston, Texas with Pastor Kevin Rizer officiating. Arrangements by Carter Funeral Home.

Betty Jean Koehler
Betty Jean Koehler, 66, of Houston, formerly of Galveston, passed away December 2, 2005 following a long battle with breast cancer. She was born March 4, 1939 in Ruston, Louisiana to Votis & Bronice Richardson. She is survived by son, Gary Steven Pryor; daughter, Angela Ellen Pryor, Bill Koehler and sister, Sandra Wilson; as well as by stepdaughters, Christy Oelsen and Kelly Livingston and numerous step-grandchildren, nieces, and great-nieces and nephews & friends. Services celebrating her life and home-going were held Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at Carter Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ross Stephenson officiating. She will be laid to rest in Cooks Cemetery in Ruston, Louisiana at 2:00 p.m.Thursday under the direction of Carter Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of M.D. Anderson for all their loving care from 1978 to 2005.
