Chris Dellaghelfa, 55, of Goshen
died June 28 2004 at her home after a long illness. She was the wife of Gus Dellaghelfa with whom she shared a strong love and devotion that carried them through their marriage of 36 years.
Born in Torrington Oct 9, 1948 daughter of the late Virgil and Rachel (Brazie) Wilson, she and her family lived in Torrington for many years prior to moving to Goshen 13 years ago.
Prior to her illness, she worked for Richard Colby Printers of Litchfield.
In addition to her husband, she is survived and will be sadly missed by so many including daughters Darlene (Dee) Yeski and her husband Dave of Sierra Vista AZ, and Heidi Dellaghelfa and friend Patrick of Staten Island, and grandchildren Cali and Ryan Yeski. She also leaves her loving sister Helen Wilson of Torrington and in laws Dennis and Karen Dellaghelfa, Gary and Kathy Dellaghelfa and many friends with whom she shared her love for the outdoors in gardening and traditional archery.
She was predeceased by a brother Arthur Wilson.
Her kind and loving ways had touched so many, and as an angel she shall fly within the confines of our minds and hearts always.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday July 2 at 8 PM at The Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave. Torrington. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 PM.

Alice H. (Slaney) Dube, 93, of 410 Funston Ave and Haven Health Center Torrington
died Tuesday June 22 at Haven Health Care. She was the wife of the late Laurent P Dube. Born in ST Pierre et Miquelon Province of France Oct 15, 1910, she was retired from The Union Hardware Brunswick MFG Co. An active member of Saint Francis Church, she was a former member of The Council of Catholic Women.
She is survived by two sons, Leonard F. Dube and his wife Marilyn of Torrington and Ronald P. Dube of Florida and San Jose Costa Rica. She also leaves a daughter Janice Nelson and her husband Todd of Brewster MA, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Jean Hughes of Paxton MA and her care giver nieces Lucille M. Lascko and Rita M. Lach of Torrington.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 26 at 10:30 at The Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave. Torrington. Burial will follow at New Saint Francis Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30.
Memorial Contributions can be made to Saint Francis School Fund 360 Prospect St Torrington Ct 06790.
A Memorial Mass in her honor will be scheduled at a time to be announced.

Kenneth Yorker, 74, of 47 Raiano St Torrington
died Monday June 21 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of Mary (Beadle) Yorker. Born in Norfolk March 19, 1930 son of the late Chauncey and Blanche (Ostrander) Yorker, he served in The US Army during The Korean Conflict.
He was employed as a Mason, and had worked for Borghesi Construction and Lombardi Construction.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a son Michael Yorker of Dallas TX, and four daughters, Donna Rozzi and her husband Scott of Burlington, Joanne Bracken and her husband Bob of Stratford, Cindey Halloway and her husband Donald of Dallas Tx, and Teresa Pleil and her husband Felix of Torrington, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He also leaves two sisters, Doris Gowey of East Hartford and Veronica Forest of Winsted and a brother Forbes Yorker of Colorado.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday June 25 at 9 AM at The Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave. Torrington. Burial will follow at New Saint Francis Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the services on Friday from 8:00 to 9:00.

Grace Sullivan, 75, formerly of Sunrise Dr in Torrington
died Wednesday May 12 at Cooks- Willow in Plymouth. She was the wife of the late Thomas F. Sullivan.
Born in Torrington, Aug. 7, 1928 daughter of the late Harold and Beulah (French) Osterhout, she was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was also a former employee of Torrington Manufacturing Co and Hendey Machine.
She was an avid gardener, bowler and softball player, and was a volunteer for Holly's Dream in Torrington and was a member of The Sullivan Senior Center.
She is survived by her son, Thomas W. Sullivan and his wife Judie of Thomaston, and grandchildren Robert Jones and Rhonda Mulville, and four great grandchildren. She also leaves three brothers, Oakley Osterhout of Florida, William Osterhout of Mass., and Dennis Osterhout of Torrington. She was predeceased by a brother Howard Osterhout.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday May 18 at 11 Am at The Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave Torrington with Rev. James Stirling III Pastor of First Congregational Church in Plymouth officiating. Burial will follow at New St Francis Cemetery in Torrington. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 8 PM.

Tania Barakat Veleber, 35, of Siegas Rd in Burlington
died Tuesday May 11. She was the wife of Douglas E. Veleber. Born in Beirut, Feb. 24, 1969 daughter of Maurice and Ninette (Noujaim) Barakat of Torrington, she moved to Torrington in 1977. She was a graduate of Torrington High Class of 1987 and had attended Central Connecticut State College.
She was employed in the Insurance Industry for many years and had most recently worked for Saint Maron's Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she leaves two brothers, Rabih Barakat and his wife Lydia of Woodbridge and Teddy Barakat of Los Angeles, and her mother and father in law, Ruth Veleber of Chesire and Richard Veleber of Venice Fl, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday May 14 at 9:15 from Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave Torrington to Saint Maron's Church for a Mass at 10 AM. Burial will follow at New Saint Francis Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM.

Josephine Cianciolo, 81, of 431 New Harwinton Rd in Torrington
died Friday May 7 at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. She was the wife of the late August J. Cianciolo who died in 1997. She was born in East Lyme, CT May 23, 1922 daughter of the late Anthony and Angelina (Rovagna) Maggiorotto, and attended Torrington schools and was a graduate of Torrington High School.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula Pfrommer of Woodbury and a nephew Charles Maggiorotto of Saint Louis Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday May 10 at 10:30 AM at The Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave. Torrington. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30.

Janice Breen Finn, 54, of 189 Darling St Torrington
died Sunday June 20, 2004 at home with her loving family beside her. She was the wife of Gary M. Finn.
Born in Waterbury, June 15, 1950 daughter of the late James G. and Theresa (Gualtieri) Breen, she was a life long Torrington resident.
She was employed by The Torrington Board of Education having worked at Vogel-Wetmore, Torrington Middle School, and most recently Torrington High School.
An avid sportswoman, she was involved with Steve Blass Little League, V-P Midget Football, and PAL Basketball. She was an active member in the Torrington High School Booster Club, serving as Treasurer. She was recently presented with the Gold "T" Award.
In addition to her husband, she leaves three sons, Guy D. Finn of Hamden CT, Timothy M. Finn of Torrington, and Scott C. Finn of Los Angeles CA. She also leaves a brother James G. Breen III and his wife Joanne of Newington and a sister Kathi Breen Amrich and her husband Francis " Punky" of Kernersville NC, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday June 23 at 10 AM at Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave Torrington to Saint Francis Church for a Mass at 10:30. Burial will follow at New Saint Francis Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday Evening from 5:00 to 8:00.

Janet A. Chmiel, 75, of A-3 Surrey Lane Torrington
died Tuesday June 15 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was born in Mahopac NY Nov 21, 1928, and was a Torrington resident since 1980. She was a Licensed Insurance agent and worked at The Litchfield County Agency from 1980-1987, and later at Burns, Brooks, and McNeil until 2001.
She was a member of The Torrington Lions Club and The Insurance Women's Guild.
She is survived by her son Timothy Chmiel of Torrington and a brother Francis Mantovi of Scarsdale NY.
Private Funeral Services will be at the convenience of the family. Phalen Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Lydia Amanda Regis, 84, of Harwinton,
died Tuesday June 15 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Regis. Born in Torrington, Oct 27, 1919 daughter of the late Aldoph and Amanda Lake, she was a long time Harwinton resident.
She was a former employee of The Needle Shop at The Torrington Company, and was an avid gardener and lover of animals, especially her dogs and cats.
She is survived by two children, Mary Regis Ricci and Richard R. Regis of Torrington. She also leaves a brother William Lake of Florida. She was predeceased by brothers Albert and Edward Lake and sister Martha Loyd.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 9:30 from Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave. To Saint Paul's Church for a Service at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Samuel Russo, 78, of 35 Birdsview Ave. New Hartford,
died Sunday May 2 at UCONN Health Center. He was the husband of Marguerite "Peg" (Machuga) Russo. Born in Pittsfield MA, Nov 2, 1925, son of the late Antonio Russo and Frieda Russo Litke, he served in the US Navy during WWII.
He was employed by Pratt and Whitney in East Hartford for 35 years before his retirement in 1986. He later worked for Maple Glenn in Canton for 10 years.
An avid golfer, he also was a member of Torrington Arcade Lanes Duckpin Leagues, and he was a Communicant of Immaculate Conception Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Terrance Russo and his wife Lisa of Torrington and a daughter Mary Ellen Liseno and her husband Joseph of South Deerfield MA, and grandchildren Andrew and Lea Russo. He also leaves a brother Orlando Russo and sister Margaret Arnista of Torrington, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday May 4 at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in New Hartford. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Torrington. Friends may call at the Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave Torrington on Monday from 6 to 8 PM.

Mary Grustas, 88, of 177 Marshall Lake Rd Torrington,
beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, died Tuesday April 27 at Litchfield Woods. She was the wife of the late Joseph Grustas. Born in Torrington Oct 30, 1915 daughter of the late Joseph W. and Elizabeth (Kusabovich) Truskauskas, she loved flowers, gardening, birds, walks, and her cats.
She leaves three sons, Joseph Grustas and his wife Mary of Winchester Center, James Grustas and his wife Patricia, and Richard Grustas and his wife Maureen, all of New Hartford, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Private Funeral Services with entombment at Saint Francis Mausoleum will be at the convenience of the family. Phalen Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Shirley Ann Beebe, 57, of 85 Hoffman St Torrington
died Monday April 26 at her home. She was the wife of John Beebe Sr. Born in Torrington March 9, 1947 daughter of Margaret (Tatar) Ross of Torrington and the late Frank Ross Sr. she was employed at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for 14 years as a CNA before her year long struggle with cancer.
She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods with her mother and Las Vegas and spending time with her granddaughters.
In addition to her husband and mother, she leaves a daughter Rhonda Noreika of Torrington and a son Jay Beebe of Torrington and his companion Lauren Skav, and granddaughters Chelsea and Amanda Noreika. She also leaves three sisters, Barbara Sonntag and her husband Walter of Torrington, Cathy Ferrier and her companion George Cambell of Winsted, Karen Doyon and her husband Ron of Torrington and four brothers Frank Ross Jr and his wife Barbara of Thomaston, Thomas Ross and his wife Kathy of Torrington, James Ross and his wife Kerry of Sandusky OH, and David Ross and his wife Kerry of Barkhamsted, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday April 30 at 11 AM at Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave. Torrington. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM.

Thomas E. Nickerson, 50, of 516 Prospect St Torrington
died Saturday June 12 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital as a result of injuries received in an accident while helping friends at a residential construction site in Harwinton.
He was born in Torrington Feb. 16, 1954 son of the late Charles and Colleen (Connelly) Nickerson. He attended Saint Francis School and Marianapolis Preparatory School. He was a graduate of The University of Vermont Forestry School.
Besides being employed by United Construction and Engineering in Torrington he maintained a life long interest in Forestry.
He is survived by a son Thomas C. Nickerson of Winsted, and three brothers, James Nickerson, Brian Nickerson, and Richard Nickerson all of Torrington and a sister Elizabeth Wagner of Phoenix AZ.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday June 17 at 11 AM at Hillside Cemetery in Torrington. Memorial Contributions can be made to The White Memorial Foundation PO Box 368 Litchfield CT 06759.

Harold F. Allen, 73, of 192 Norfolk Rd Torrington
died Saturday June 12 at his home. He was the husband of the late Hilda (Whitney) Allen. Born March 13, 1931 in Farmington ME. son of the late Forrest and Nettie Allen, he was a Veteran of The US Navy. He was employed by Wallace Barnes for several years, and was an avid gardener.
He is survived by a son, Forrest Allen of Bristol and two daughters, Helen Weeks of Fairfax, VA and Deborah Brunelle of Torrington, and seven grandchildren, Andrew Weeks, Michael Giordano, Crystal, Kyra, and Devin Allen and Sara and Leonard Brunelle, and five great grandchildren

Pearl E. Sheahan, of Saw Mill Hill Rd Torrington
died Thursday June 3 at Valerie Manor. She was the wife of the late Thomas E. Sheahan. Born in Lyndon, Vt Nov 9, 1909 daughter of the late Morton and Jennie (Sherman) Cheney, she was a Torrington resident for 59 years.
She was a retired employee of The Torrington Company, and a member of The First Congregational Church in Torrington.
She is survived by a niece Blanche Gorham of East Burke VT and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday June 7 at 11 AM at The Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave. Torrington. Burial will follow at Forest View Cemetery in Winsted. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM.

Ella Mead, 93, of 117 Hoffman ST Torrington
died Saturday March 19 at Haven Health Care in Torrington. She was the wife of the late Raymond Mead. Born in Torrington March 29 1911 daughter of the late Joseph and Therese (Poll) Kirschner, she was a life long Torrington resident.
She was retired from Burns, Brooks, and McNeil in Torrington, and was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas Mead of Torrington, Dennis Mead of Denver CO. and James Mead of Live Oak FL, and grandchildren Heather and Jason Mead of Live Oak FL.

Winifred M. Carriere, 92, of Torrington
died Thursday March 17 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ernest H. Carriere. Born in Torrington Sept. 10, 1912 daughter of the late Alois and Maria (Siegmund) Schibi, she was employed by The Torrington Company and Waring Products, retiring in 1975.
She is survived by two sons, Noel Carriere and his wife Donna of Chesire and Andre Carriere and his wife Cheryl of Winsted, and two daughters, Alois Levesque and her husband Joseph of Torrington and Brenda Carriere of Harwinton, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Private Services with burial at Hillside Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.

Flavio DaRoss, 90, of 130 Wiillow Street Winsted
died Thursday March 17 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of Harriet (Schroeder) DaRoss. Born in Litchfield Jan. 19, 1915 son of the late Anthony and Theresa DaRoss, he was a brick layer and stone mason before his retirement. He was a member of The American Legion in Litchfield and he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and hunting.
In addition to his wife he leaves a son, Ernest DaRoss of Punta Gorda FL and a daughter Marsha Hewitt of Wellfleet MA, and four grandchildren, Tracey, Nora, and Brent Hewitt and Garrett DaRoss, and a great grandson Justin Hewitt. He also leaves a brother Silvio DaRoss of Litchfield and a sister Lena DeMichiel of Harwinton.
