Elias Noujaim, 66, of 517 Oxbow Dr Torrington
died Thursday Feb. 12 at Hartford Hospital. He was the husband of Linda (Ayoub) Noujaim. Born in Lebanon May 4, 1937 son of the late Farid and Fahda (Haddad) Noujaim, he was employed by PTC Aerospace in Bantam for 22 years prior to his retirement. He was a Communicant of Saint Maron's Church and was a member of The Maasser El Chouf Association, The Lebanese American Society, and The Mara Reunion Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Farid Noujaim and his wife Robin and grandson Farid Elias Noujaim of West Warwick RI, and Chadi Noujaim of Hamden, and a brother Maurice Noujaim and sister Nadra Noujaim of Lebanon and another sister Amale Lecamus of France, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Badri Noujaim.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday Feb. 16 at 9:30 from Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave. Torrington to Saint Maron's Church for a Mass at 10 AM. Dorothy M Trafidlo, 77, of 1400 Winsted Rd Torrington
died Tuesday Aug. 24, 2004 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of Francis Trafidlo.
Born in Torrington March 10, 1927 daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Strobak) Sweykoski, she was a graduate of Torrington High School.
She was previously employed by The Southern New England Telephone Company, The Torrington Day Care Center, and The Connecticut Department of Mental Retardation.
A life long lover of the arts, she sang for many years with The Silver Belles and Beauxs of Torrington as well as the Saint Francis Church Choir. She was also an accomplished artist as her many friends can attest.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Francis Trafidlo and his wife Virginia of Granby and a granddaughter Laura, and a sister Beverly Harrigan of Farmington. She was predeceased by a daughter Carol Trafidlo Kolleger and two brothers William and Raymond Sweykoski.

George J. Kugler, 78, of 146 Torringford West Street Torrington
died Saturday Aug. 21 at his home. He was the husband of Eleanor (Roman) Kugler. Born in Torrington Aug. 30, 1925 he was the son of the late Felix and Janina (Usnick) Kugler. He served in The US Navy during WWII as an aviation ordinance mate aboard The USS John Cabot in The Pacific Theater.
He was employed as a letter carrier in the Southeast section of Torrington for The Torrington Post Office for 30 years, retiring in 1986.
He served as Finance Secretary and Sales Representative for The Polish National Alliance Lodge 1061 for 25 years, and was a member of The VFW Post 7008 in Harwinton, The Catholic Sokol Club, and Fraternal Order of Eagles #974, as well as a Communicant of Saint Mary's Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Mark Kugler and his wife Mary of Torrington and a daughter Marsha Deming of Torrington. He also leaves two grandchildren Clayton F. Deming III of Torrington and Alison Marie Deming of Charlotte NC, and step grandchildren Cathy Sullivan of Winsted, Joanne Joray of Goshen, and Sherry Dean of Litchfield and two great grandchildren, and a sister Wanda Dervis of Naugatuck.

Joan Hall, 73, of 39 Hall Rd in West Cornwall
died Friday Aug 13 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of the late Percy W. Hall. Born in Torrington Oct 14, 1930 daughter of the late Leonard and Florence (Harris) Carpenter, she graduated from Torrington schools and was a long time West Cornwall resident. She retired after 20 years from the Cornwall Post Office.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Hall and his wife Maura and David Hall and his wife Donna of Goshen and a daughter Donna Reeve and her husband Ed of Buford GA, and grandchildren Ed Reeve and Rebecca Wolfe and David and Danielle Hall, and a great grandson Ethan Wolfe.

Albert Aeschlimann of 187 Mansfield Road, Harwinton
died November 19, 2004 at Valerie Manor. He was the husband of Ethel(Hodgkinson) Aeschlimann. They were married on August 24, 1946.
He was born March 3, 1921 in Torrington, the son of Fritz Aeschlimann and Agnes (Voumard) Aeschlimann.
He served in the U.S. Army 70th infantry from 1942 to 1945 in battles and campaigns in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He was awarded a Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, 5 Battle Stars and a Unit Citation.
He served for many years as the Harwinton Town Road Foreman, retiring in 1986. He had served with Harwinton Volunteer Ambulance and had also served as the Town Dog Warden
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Schaer of Torrington. He is survived by four children, Bruce Aeschlimann, Albert L. Aeschlimann, Donald Aeschlimann and Janet Wortman, as well as 6 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Torrington, Monday November 22 at 11 am, with Rev Eileen Epperson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harwinton Volunteer Ambulance, P.O. Box 165, Harwinton CT 06791.

Ruth Anne Ross, 88, of 582 Sharon Turnpike Goshen
died Saturday Nov. 13, 2004 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Henry I. Ross. Born in Waterbury, August 4, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Anna (Costello) Brown. She had been a Goshen resident for 41 years.
She was a member of the Goshen Garden Club and was active in Scouting in Goshen. She loved gardening and bird watching, and was an avid reader.
She is survived by three sons, John Warren Ross of Goshen, Henry Irving Ross Jr and his wife Susan of Anaheim Hills CA, and Gregg Milton Ross and his wife Laura of Lyme CT, and she also leaves four daughters, Marcia Crannell and her husband Raymond of Thomaston, Ruth Anne Ross of Keeseville, NY, Betsy M. Ross of Ashley Falls MA, and Sara Jane Bright and her husband Steven of Lancaster PA, 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and her sister Betty Gallagher of Naples FL.

died Tuesday Nov 9 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of 55 years of Silvio M. DaRoss. Born October 24, 1923 in Torrington, daughter of the late Emile and Louise (Hoffman) Rougeot, she attended local schools. She was employed as a telephone operator for SNET for 38 years, and was a member of the SNET Pioneer's Club.
In addition to her husband, she leaves a sister, Shirley Samele of New Hartford and a brother Maynard Rougeot of Torrington and several nieces and nephews.

died Saturday Oct 26 at Valerie Manor in Torrington. She was born in Bridgeport on Aug 2, 1957 daughter of Stella (Kolida) Sholomicky of Naugatuck and the late Alexander Sholomicky. She was a graduate of The Edward Ward High School in Fairfield.
She had been employed as a manager at Bradlee's Store in Torrington.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her long time partner, Renay Casagrande of Torrington and two brothers, Alexander and Gregory Sholomicky and a sister Nadejda Fournier, all of Naugatuck. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Irene B. Wasilonsky, 90, a former Torrington resident
died Monday Oct 21 at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell, Montana. She was the wife of the late John Wasilonsky. She was born in Torrington on June 20, 1912 daughter of the late Lazlow and Amelia (Fabian ) Sarkozi.
She was a graduate of Torrington High School Class of 1930.
A self taught seamstress, she at one time had owned a corset shop with her sister. She was a member of Saint Anne's Society and enjoyed cooking and travel.
She moved to Montana in 1998 to be close to her daughter.
She is survived by her daughter Irene Gelormino and her husband James F. of Kalispell Montana, and four grandchildren, Lynn McGarvey and her husband Kraig of Sharon, CT, James J Gelormino and his wife Vivian of Kalispell, MT, Jonna Kelner and her husband Tom of Columbia Falls, MT, and Jesse Gelormino of Kalispell. She also leaves 2 great grandchildren, James Michael Gelormino and Jonathan Brentan Gelormino and a brother Frank Sarkozi and his wife Lucy of Simsbury and a sister Gertrude Sabia of Old Lyme, and one sister in law Clara Sarkozi.
She was predeceased by a brother Larry Sarkozi and a sister Helen Kirsh.

died Thursday Oct 17 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was born in Durham, England Sept. 14, 1945. Daughter of Gertrude (Joyce) Arckless of Torrington and the late William E. Arckless, she was raised and educated in England, and had lived in Torrington for over 20 years.
She had been employed in The banking industry prior to becoming a self employed Realtor, owner of Homestead Realty in Torrington.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Barnsby and his wife Alisha of Williamsburg, VA and Scott Barnsby of Nashville, TN.

died Friday Jan. 3 at Litchfield Woods. She was the wife of Paul J. Tuozzo. Born in Naugatuck Aug 26, 1924 daughter of the late Joseph and Augustina (Cerqui) Robbiati, she was a long time Torrington resident.
She was a communicant of Saint Maron's Church and was a former Cub Scout Den Mother and a Girl Scout Leader.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Christine Tuozzo and a son James Tuozzo, all of Torrington.

died Tuesday Dec. 31 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was previously married to Marshall Adorno CPA who predeceased her. She lived most of her life in Torrington and was a communicant of Saint Peter's Church.
She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Joseph and Yvonne Adorno of Torrington, Walter and Diane Adorno of Harwinton, Robert and Judith Adorno of Seminole, FL, Cynthia Krezel and her husband Atty. Richard Krezel of Southington, and Celeste and Rojelio Salinas of Pembroke Pines FL, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a greatgranddaughter Samantha Adorno.

died Saturday April 19 at Valerie Manor.
Born in Torrington Sept 28, 1921 daughter of the late Giovanni and Angelina Marello, she was a graduate of Torrington High School. She was a bookkeeper at The Allen House Garage in Torrington, and worked at Fitzgerald Mfg. Company and retired from The Torrington Company. She was also employed for many years for The McKenna and Farley families.
She had played basketball in women's leagues and was an avid Yankee's fan, a card and bingo player. She was a member of The Piemontese Society and The Sullivan Senior Center.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Bado and his wife Gail of Burke, VA, John Bado and his wife Janice, and Charles Bado and his wife Denise of Torrington, and three grandchildren, John, Charlie, and Meredith Bado, and several nieces and nephews.

died Saturday June 14 at Adam's House. He was born in Winsted Aug. 17, 1946 son of Jeanne Chadwick Browne Minetti and the late William J. Browne. He lived most of his life in Torrington.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Jeanne and Tranquil Minetti of Torrington, a sister Johanna Bartlett of Reading MA, step sister Christine Comeau and step brother Gary Minetti, 1 niece and a nephew.

She is survived by two sons, Jesse C. Sprague III of Torrington and Keith Sprague of Winsted, and two daughters, Pam Cyr of Hartford and Susan Madore of Thomaston, 2 brothers Harry Greguoli of Bristol and Donald Greguoli of Waterbury, and 5 grandchildren.

Oliver Marcantonio, 82, of 76 Turner Avenue Torrington
died Thursday June 12 at Valerie Manor. He was the husband of Loretta (Silano) Marcantonio.
Born in Limosano, Campobasso Italy on July 22, 1920 son of the late John and Antoinetta (Covatta) Marcantonio, he served in The US Navy during WWII.
He was a well known roofing and heating contractor in the area for many years. An avid bowler, he was a member of The Professional Bowlers Association.
In addition to his wife, he leaves three sons, Oliver Marcantonio of Exeter, NH, Frank and Gregory Marcantonio and a daughter Lisa Smith, all of Torrington. He also is survived by two grandchildren Connor William Smith and Evan Robert Marcantonio, and one brother Rudy Marcantonio of Torrington.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Louise (Conti) Marcantonio, a son Robert Marcantonio, and three brothers, Frederick, Joseph, and Oscar Marcantonio.

Jeffrey G. Stannard, 22, of 1938 Norfolk Rd Torrington
died Friday Aug 15 as a result of a motorcycle accident in Waterbury. Born in Torrington April 30, 1981 son of Lucian and Darlene (Gath) Stannard of Torrington he attended Torrington High School and The Foreman School in Litchfield. He also attended The Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Florida and Arizona. He was the owner of PRO-STYLE CYCLES in Torrington.
His passion was motorcycles, dirt bikes, and quads.
In addition to his parents, he leaves his brother Michael husband of Heather Stannard of Torrington and a nephew Lucas Stannard. He also leaves his grandmother Emma Stannard of Winsted.

Harry R. Tucker, 70, of Torrington
died peacefully at home Aug 14 surrounded by his family. He was the husband of 49 years of Alice (Sekulski) Tucker. Born in Torrington March 4, 1933 son of the late Carl F and Margaret (McCann) Tucker, he served in The US Navy during The Korean War aboard the USS Newport News. An active member of the community, he was past commander of The American Legion Post 38, a member of The Burlington Men's club since 1970, and also a past president, he was also a member and past vice-president of The Veneta Society, and belonged to Eastham MA Elks Lodge. He was a dedicated fisherman and enjoyed many fishing trips with family and friends off Cape Cod.
He was employed as a tool and die machinist for United Tool and Die in West Hartford for 34 years.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a son Harry Tucker Jr and his wife Denise of Torrington and three daughters, Gail Brown and her husband Keith of Simsbury, Doreen Royals and her husband John Royals IV of Torrington, Lisa Silano and her husband Christopher of New Hartford. He also has 10 grandchilden, Amanda Roberts, Ashley and Alicia Brown, Faith, Emily, and Harry tucker III, John, V, and Raymond Royals, Christopher Jr and Andrew Silano, and a great granddaughter, Meghan Roberts.
He also leaves 3 sisters, Margaret Mierzwinski, Dolores Trapp, and Arlene Bosio and 2 brothers Carl and Richard Tucker, all of Torrington. He was predeceased by a brother and sister, Robert Tucker and Dorothy Curry.
