Charles David Maier, 59, of Glenmoore, died suddenly on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at his home. He was the husband of Deborah Ann Stoudt Maier, with whom he shared 20 years of marriage.
Born in Chester, he was the son of Elaine Clarke of Chester.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served as a Communications Technician Second Class during theVietnam Era.
He was a self-employed Computer Analyst since 1964.
Charles was member of Living God Lutheran Church and he was an avid fisherman.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Bestul and Sandra Leupke, both of Wisconsin; a brother, Howard Maier of Chester County; a sister, Leslie Maier of Chester; and four grandsons.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00AM on Monday, December 26, 2005 at Living God Lutheran Church, 3200 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook, where family and friends may call from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. Interment will be in Northwood Cemetery, Downingtown.

Nathanael Maenza
Nathanael Maenza, 91, of Downingtown, PA passed away on Friday, June 16, 2006 at St. Martha Manor. He was the husband of Lou Angeloff Maenza, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.
Born in White Plains, NY, he was the son of the late John and Cecelia Pape Maenza.
He served in the U. S. Army during World War, II, achieving the rank of Corporal. He earned the Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, American Theatre Service Medal and Victory Medal.
He was employed as a Accountant for U.S. Life for 35 years before retiring in 1979.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Glenn Maenza of Glen Mills, PA; a sister, Ann Lifrieri of White Plains, NY and two grandchildren, Caryn and Paul Maenza. He was predeceased by a son, Nathaniel.
A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:30AM on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at St. Martha Manor, 470 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA where family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30AM. Interment will follow, at 1:00PM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

Helen T. McDonough Kukla
Helen T. McDonough Kukla, 80, of Downingtown, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2006 at St. Martha Manor. She was the wife of the late John Joseph, Kukla, Sr., with whom she shared 42 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen McCann McDonough.
She was employed at Hoovers Publishing Company for many years until her retirement.
Helen was a resident of Ardmore for 40 years and a former member of St. Denis Church. Upon relocating to Chester County, she became a member of St. Joseph Church. Helen enjoyed her two cats, Minni and Mandi.
She is survived by a daughter, Maryellen Hoeflein and her husband Robert of Downingtown; a daughter-in-law, Micki Kukla of Drexel Hill and five grandchildren, Thomas, Michael and Joseph Kukla and Kyle and Stephanie Hoeflein. She was predeceased by son, John Joseph Kukla, Jr. and a brother, William McDonough.
Helen's mass of Christian Burial will will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 19, 2006 at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Avenue, Downingtown 19335. Family and friends may call on Thursday morning from 9:00AM to 10:30AM at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Interment will be in St. Denis Cemetery, Havertown.

Valerie Csoboth Reti Jacoby
Valerie Csoboth Reti Jacoby, 67, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at her daughter's home in Collegeville. She was the wife of George W. Jacoby of Wilmington, with whom she shared 14 years of marriage.
Born in Bucarest, Romania and raised in Szombathely, Hungary, she was the daughter of the late Karoly and Irene Solymossy Csoboth.
She graduated from Kanizsai Dorottya Leanygimnazium in Hungary. After coming to this country, she earned a bachelors degree in secondary education in biology from West Chester State Teachers College in 1963.
She was a Downingtown High School biology teacher for 28 years before retiring in 1996.
She attended services at Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Newark, DE and New Covenant Presbyterian Church of Rehoboth, DE. She was a member of the national organization WIC (Women in Church) and a member of P.S.E.A. She loved traveling and going back home to Hungary each year. She enjoyed classical music.
In addition to her husband, George, Valerie is survived by two daughters, Valerie M. Smith of Collegeville, and Diane E. Wilkinson of Downingtown; a brother, Charles Csoboth, Jr. of Wilmington, DE and two granddaughters, Christine and Kelly Wilkinson. She was predeceased by her first husband, Gabor S. Reti and a brother, Frank Csoboth..
A funeral service will take place at 11:00AM on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where family and friends may call from 10AM to 11AM. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia.

George K. "Mutt" Hummel, Sr.
George K. "Mutt" Hummel, Sr., 87, of Coatesville, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2006 at Tel-Hai Retirement Community. He was the husband of Barbara Paul Hummel, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.
Born in Downingtown, he was the son of the late Edward and Emma Book Hummel.
He attended schools in Downingtown.
He served as a U.S. Army Staff Sergeant in the European Sector during World War II, earning the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Purple Heart.
He worked at Bicking Paper Mill in Downingtown and at Chemical Leaman Tank Line for 19 years before retiring in 1985.
He was a long-time member of Thorndale United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by a son, George Hummel, Jr. of Coatesville; a daughter, Barbara H. Scott of Elverson; a sister, Edith Winward; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Amanda, John, III and Erinne and five great-grandchildren, Summer, Brittany, Hunter, Leah and Natalie.
A Graveside Service will take place at 1:00PM on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at Northwood Cemetery, One Norwood House Road, Downingtown.

Charles E. Hilton
Charles E. Hilton, 86, of Exton, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2006 at his home. He was the husband of Blanche C. Beam Hilton with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.
Born in Downingtown, he was the son of the late Webster and Anna Mulcahy Hilton.
He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was the recipient of the American Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and European African Middle Eastern Theater Service Ribbon.
He earned an Associate's Degree from Beecon College and was employed as the Assistant Superintendent at Embreville State Hospital for 37 years before retiring in 1980.
He was a life-time member of the Minquas Fire Company and a member of Downiingtown VFW Post 845.
In addiltion to his wife, Blanche, he is survived by two daughters, Terri L. Gro, of Drexel Hill and Kenni E. Doyle of Concord, NC; a brother, Harry F. Hilton of Downingtown; a sister, Margaret Wagner of Downingtown and four grandchildren, Sal, Sean, Joe and Cameron.
Mr. Hilton will be remembered at a Memorial Service at 11AM on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at the James J. Terry F. H., 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where family and friends may call from 10AM to 11AM . Interment will be private.

Marian Woodward Helms
Marian Woodward Helms, 87, a resident of Bellingham Retirement Community in West Chester, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at Paoli Memorial Hospital surrounded by her daughters and their husbands.
Marian was the wife of the late Paul C. Helms with whom she shared 47 years of marriage. She was born in Coatesville, the daughter of the late Benton H. and Jessie Coulter Woodward. She graduated from Coatesville High School in 1936.
She was employed as a office clerk for Brandywine Realty for five years.
Marian enjoyed knitting, refinishing antiques and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Garnett and her husband Richard of Winchester, VA and Barbara Steidler and her husband Frank of West Chester; a brother, Buzz Woodward of Coatesville; a sister, Jean Herr of Lititz; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, John and Charles Woodward.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, where family and friends may call from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. Interment will be private.

Scott M. Hayes
Scott M. Hayes, 23, of Annapolis, MD and formerly of Charlottesville, VA, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2006 at his family's home in Exton, PA.
Scott was born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He was the son of Joan R. Walkuski Hayes of Exton and the late Dr. Scott W. Hayes who passed away in February, 2004.
Scott earned a bachelor degree in Computer Science and Astronomy from the University of Virginia. He was employed as a Software Engineer for Northrop Grumman.
As a new member of the Orthodox Church and having studied the religion for the past five years, Scott developed a deep love of the faith and enjoyed sharing that faith with others.
He enjoyed astronomy, photography, history, cooking, computers and studying the Latin and German languages.
In addition to his mother, Scott is survived by his sister, Alison J. Hayes, of Exton; his maternal grandparents, Joseph J. and Stella Olkoski Walkuski of Scotia, NY and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Alice Chase Hayes.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00AM on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 399 Charles Street, Coatesville, PA 19320. Interment will be on Thursday, March 9 in Darien, Connecticut.

Mary Carr Green
Mary Carr Green, 81, of West Chester, fromerly of Lionville, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Chester County Hospital. She was the wife of Harry Green with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Spencer and Esther Britt Carr.
Mrs. Green was a Fransiscan nun prior to her marriage and taught elementary school at St. Katherine of Siena in Philadelphia.
She was a member of Calvary Fellowship Church in Lionville, where she was known for giving great hugs and spreading her Christian faith with others. She enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed the company of children.
She is survived by five daughters, Anne Brown of Earlville, Theresa Cardamone of Downingtown, Mary Brown of Hummelstown, Margie Furyk of Boyertown, and Honey Muir of Westtown; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at 11 AM from Calvary Fellowship Church, Rt. 113 and Deveon Dr., Downingtown, where friends may call fron 9:30AM until time of service.
Interment will be in Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick.

Gloria Rose O’Donnell Gilroy
Gloria Rose O’Donnell Gilroy, age 78, of West Chester, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at Brandywine Hall Convalescent Center in West Chester. She was the wife of the late Thomas G. Gilroy with whom she shared 33 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Kathryn Fanning O'Donnell. She was a graduate of West Philadelphia High School.
Mrs. Gilroy was employed as a secretary/receptionist for Fidelity & Deposit Co. of MD for 27 years before retiring in 1996.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathryn G. Magarahan of Downingtown, and Eileen G. Lake of Coatesville; six grandchildren, Eileen, Matthew, Amanda, Olivia, Devon and Sonny and four great-grandchildren, Bradley, Michael, Mara and Kathryn.
A funeral service will take place at 11AM on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown where family and friends may call from 10AM to 11AM. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon.

Charles D. Forte
Charles D. Forte, 78, of Downingtown, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2005 at his home. He was the husband of Rose Bruno Forte with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Downingtown, he was the son of the late Benedetto and Loretta Volpe Forte.
Charlie graduated from Downingtown High School in 1945. He went on to earn a BS in Physical Education from West Chester University in 1951 and a Master's Degree in Guidance from Atlanta University in 1968.
He served in the U.S. Naval Service Coast Guard during World War II and was the recipient of the World War II Victory Medal.
Charlie was employed by the Downingtown Area School District for 33 years, first as a Physical Education teacher and then as a Guidance Counselor for 25 years. He served as Department Chairman of Guidance and Counseling; coached junior high basketball and senior high football, baseball and golf. He also taught for Penn State Continuing Education's graduate division.
He was past president of the Downingtown High School Alumni Association, Chester County Counselors Association and Lionville Lions Club. He was Chairman of the Michael Bartone Memorial Foundation for A.L.S. He worked as Pool Director of St. Anthony Pool during the summer months and he was an avid golfer.
In addition to his wife, Rose, he is survived by a son, Charles B. Forte of Ocean City, NJ; a daughter, Karen M. Forte of Cresco, PA and a sister, Edith Forte Bartone of Downingtown. He was predeceased by brother, Joseph Forte and sister, Angelina Forte Mariano.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends may gather from 6:00PM to 9:00PM on Wednesday, January 4 and from 9:30AM to 10:30AM on Thursday, January 5 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.

Elizabeth Pennell Fawcett
Elizabeth Pennell Fawcett, 91, of Honey Brook, passed away on February 28, 2006 The Hickman in West Chester.
Elizabeth was born January 12, 1915 in Wawa, daughter of the late Mary Smedley Pennell and James R. Pennell.
She was a 1933 graduate of Westtown School. She graduated from Penn State and received her MA from University of Pennsylvania.
She taught Physical Education at Wilmington Friends School, Media Friends School and Westtown School.
She loved tennis, swimming, knitting, gardening and, after retiring to Honey Brook, took up upholstering for Ben Z. Stoltzfus.
The widow of Edward Charles Fawcett, Elizabeth is survived by a sister, Elinor Pennell Briggs; a son, James Pennell Fawcett; a daughter, Deborah F. Hadden and grandson, Shane T. Hadden.
Memorial Service to be held at Middletown Monthly Meeting, Route 352 in Lima, PA on April 1, 2006 at 2:00PM.

JoAnn M. Putera Dymek
JoAnn M. Putera Dymek, 40, of Glenmoore, PA passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2005 at University of Pennsylvania Hospital. She was the wife of Paul G. Dymek.
Born in Lansdale, she was the daughter of Thomas J. and Irene A. Jilla Putera of Green Lane, PA.
She was a 1983 graduate of Upper Perkiomen H.S. and a 1987 graduate of Kutztown University where she earned degrees in Medical Technology and Biology. JoAnn completed her internship at St. Joseph Hospital in Reading, PA.
She was employed as a Bio-Chemist for Merck Co. in West Point for 15 years where she enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball on the company teams. JoAnn also spent six years working at Brandywine Hospital and Trauma Center.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth Church in Eagle and enjoyed drag racing with her husband at Maple Grove speedway.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by a brother, Thomas M. Putera of Pennsburg, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward J. and Rosealie T. Dymek of Downingtown; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Emily, in 2001 and one nephew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, December 30, 2005 at St. Elizabeth Church , Route 100 and Fellowship Road, Eagle, PA. Family and friends may call from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Thursday evening, December 29, 2005 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.

Anne C. Swarner DiSciullo
Anne C. Swarner DiSciullo, 80, of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at Harrison House in Coatesville, where she resided. She was the wife of the late Dominic DiSciullo, Sr.
Born in Radnor, Anne was the daughter of the late John and Anna Marie Swarner.
Anne was a Senior Regent of Downingtown Moose, President of VFW 287 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of VFW Post 845. She was a president of the West End Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for several years. She was also a member of the Polish American Club and a life member of Pomeroy Fire Company. Anne was a homemaker, a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in Coatesville and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels for 23 years.
Anne is survived by two sons, Dominic DiSciullo, Jr. and his wife Joanne DiAngelo and Vincent DiSciullo and his wife Bonnie; three grandchildren, Anthony, Michael and Elena; a sister, Mary E. Ludwick and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Swarner and her sister, Helen Hannum.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Friday, March 17, 2006 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 80 S. 17th Avenue, Coatesville, where family and friends may call from 10:00AM until 11:00AM. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Elodie Smith Colquitt
Elodie Smith Colquitt, 60, of Exton, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2006 at Chester County Hospital.
Born in Billings, Montana, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Rosalie Amatto Smith.
Elodie graduated from West Billings High School in 1963. She earned a Bachelors degree in Physics from University of Chicago in 1967 and a Master's degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech.
She was employed as a Systems Engineer for Lockheed Martin for 20 years.
She was a member of the Barley Sheaf Players and played an active role in the "Laramie Project." She was also a member of The Toast Mistress Club of Virginia. She enjoyed doing cross stitch.
Elodie is survived by her former husband of 34 years, Tom Colquitt of Exton; a daughter, Christy Evans and her husband, David, of Romansville; a son, Michael Colquitt and his wife, Kelly, of Downingtown; a brother, Jim Smith of Billings, Montana and a grandson, Eric Evans.
Funeral services and interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Lois C. LeComte Brown
Lois C. LeComte Brown, 72, of Exton, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at Chester County Hospital.
Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Helen Kay LeComte.
She graduated from Friends Academy in Long Island in 1949 and went on to earn an Associates Degree from Centenary College in 1951.
Lois was a Homemaker. She was a longtime member of Chester Valley Country Club and an avid golfer. She also enjoyed playing bridge and traveling.
She is survived by two daughters, Pam Nicolini of Chester Springs, and Victoria J. Piersol and her husband, Ron, of Honey Brook; a brother, Douglas LeComte of Georgia and three grandchildren, W. Ross Nicolini, Dillon T. Piersol and Jenna M. Piersol.
A Memorial Service will take place at 10:00AM on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at Honey Brook Presbyterian Church, 4331 Horseshoe Pike, Honey Brook, PA 19344. Interment will be in private.

Nathaniel C. "Cliff" Blevins, Jr.
Nathaniel C. "Cliff" Blevins, Jr., 63, of Downingtown, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience. He was the husband of Beverly Buck Blevins, with whom he shared seven years of marriage.
Born in Pembroke, VA, he was the son of the late Nathaniel C. Blevins, Sr. and the late Ruth Hudler Blevins.
He served his country as a member of the Army National Guard.
Mr. Blevins worked in the printing industry for over 40 years, most recently as head pressman for Biehn Printing.
In addition to his wife, Beverly, he is survived by a son, Nathaniel C. Blevins, III of Exton; a daughter, Akel "Kelly" Blades of West Chester; two brothers, William Joseph Blevins of West Jefferson, NC and Kenneth Craig Blevins, Sr. of Downingtown; and two grandchildren, Olivia and Kyle Blevins.

Fred W. Betz, 88, of Downingtown, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2006 at his home. He was the husband of Eleanor Monroe Betz with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Fred W. and Jennie Keely Betz.
Mr. Betz was a self-employed Chester County builder and developer for 40 years.
He was a member of Whitford Country Club since 1968, an avid golfer and skier.
In addition to his wife, Eleanor, he is survived by two sons, David Betz of Colorado and Paul Betz of Wilmington, North Carolina; a brother, Thorton William Betz of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren, Kellie, Heidie and Taylor and one great-grandchild, Sienna.
Mr. Betz will be remembered at a Memorial Service at 11:00AM on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Interment will be private.

John J. Berlecky
John J. Berlecky, 79, of Narvon, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2005 at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center. He was the of husband of Wilhelmina " Willa " Siegel Berlecky with whom he shared 57 yrs. of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, He was the Son of the late Stephen and the late Mary Gerba Berlecky
Mr Berlecky owned his own sheet metal business which he sold in 1988. He was a veteran serving in the United States Navy during WW II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 422 in Honeybrook. He enjoyed home remodeling, landscaping, traveling and watching John Wayne movies .
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters Joan Barruzza of Downingtown and Diana Hennessy of Doylestown. A brother in law James Walton, also survived by 4 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild. Predeceased by three sisters, Julia Lampi, Marie Palmer and Anna Walton.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at St. Elizabeth Church Rt. 100 and Fellowship Rd Eagle, PA. A visitation will take place Wednesday from 8:45 to 10:15 AM at the James J. Terry Funeral Home 736 E. Lancaster Ave Downingtown.
