Thomas O. Darr

Thomas O. Darr, age 93, of Edwards, Missouri, passed away early Monday morning, August 9, 2004, at the Warsaw Health & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw. He was born in Novinger, Missouri, on October 18, 1910, the son of Edward and Susan Snyder Darr.
He graduated from Green Castle, Missouri, high school in 1928. He entered the United States Army in February of 1943 serving as a veteran of World War II until his discharge in October of 1945.
On August 5, 1953, he was united in marriage to Mildred Ann Adams in Kansas City. They made their home in metropolitan Kansas City, Missouri. Mildred preceded him in death in January of 1997.
Tom loved music and played the fiddle for many years. Over the years he had handcrafted two fiddles and a base fiddle.
He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church of Warsaw.
He is survived by two nieces, Betty and Helen, both of Iowa, several great-nieces & great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday morning, August 12, 2004, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Warsaw. He will be cremated and his ashes will be interred at Mossy Cemetery near Edwards, Missouri.
Lula Mae Busch

Lula Mae Busch, age 91, of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2004 at the Bothwell Regional Health Care Center in Sedalia. She was born on July 26, 1913, at St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Jesse and Mamie McCall.
She grew up in Amazonia, Missouri and in the early 1930's was united in marriage to Russell W. Guyer They made their home in Kansas City area and unto this union two daughters and one son were born. While living in Kansas City, Lula was employed by Russell Stover’s and later for Pecks Department Store. Her husband, Russell, preceded her in death in 1967.
On June 30, 1970, she was united in marriage to F.J. Busch. They made their home in Savannah, Missouri, later moving to Cole Camp, Missouri. For the past three years they have made their home in Warsaw.
Lula was saved as a young girl and had professed her faith in Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Edmondson Baptist Church near Lincoln. She also was a member of the Gideon’s Association.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley Burres, a step-daughter, Katy Boone, four brothers and three sisters.
Surviving is her husband, F.J. Busch, of the home, one son Wayne Guyer of Oregon, Missouri, one daughter, Janet Hunt of Warsaw, two step-daughters, Linda Britt of the state of Washington and Stephanie Smith of the state of Alabama, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, 4 step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, a brother, Ralph McCall of Meta, Missouri and a sister, Wilma George, of Deepwater, Missouri, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Lula Mae Busch will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 11, 2004, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Rev. Russell Lucas and Rev. Richard DeFord officiating. Grave Side Services and Interment

James H. Wilson

James H. Wilson, age 93, of Warsaw, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2004 at the Warsaw Health Care Center in Warsaw. He was born on August 1, 1911, at Birmingham, Missouri, the son of Walter Perry and Tabitha House Wilson.
On June 20, 1936, he was married to Myrtle I. Coombs. Jim was employed by Wabash Railroad for 15 years and was in real estate for 25 years. They moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas, where they owned and operated a motel for two years. After selling the motel they moved to Forsyth, Missouri and made their home for five years. In 1964, they moved to Benton County, Missouri and later into Warsaw.
He was a member of the Warsaw First United Methodist Church, a member of the V.F.W. Post #5902 of Gravois Mills, Missouri and a past member of the Shawnee Masonic Lodge #653 offWarsaw.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and served overseas in Europe during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle, on May 14, 2004.
He is survived by a step-daughter, Gloria Jackson of Raytown, a step-grandson, Sam Jackson of Lancaster, California, a step-granddaughter, Kathy Mendenhall of Raytown, three step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a nephew, Jimmy D. Wiggin and his wife, Mary Jane of Westwood, Kansas and a great-niece, Sandra Stumpff, of Shawnee, Kansas, other relatives and friends.
Grave Side Services and Interment

Ruby I. Davis Hatfield

Ruby I. Davis Hatfield, age 88, of Kansas City, formerly of Warsaw, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2004. She was born on June 18, 1916, at California, Missouri, the daughter of Aaron F. and Laura S. Sappington Clenin.
She made her home in the Kansas City area and in October of 1953 was married to Chester L. Davis. They lived in Kansas City until moving to Warsaw in 1965 where she established, owned and operated the Ruby Davis Realty for 20 years. Her husband, Chester, died October 18, 1978.
Ruby continued to make her home in Warsaw where she had served as past-president of the Sedalia Board of Realtors and was the first lady real estate broker in Benton County. She had served as past-president of the Truman Lake Association. She was a member of the Osage Valley Chapter # 502 Order of the Eastern Star of Warsaw and had served as Worthy Matron in 1983 and was Past District Deputy Grand Matron of the 36 District of the Order of the Eastern Star in 1985. She was also a member of the Lady Shrine Club of Warsaw and had received the Warsaw Area Chamber of Commerce Service Award in 1981. She was a member of the Warsaw Christian Church.
On January 15, 1986 she was united in marriage to Carl Hatfield at her home in Warsaw. Following their marriage, they made their home in Warsaw. Carl preceded her in death in 1998. For the past two years, Ruby had made her home at the Masonic Home in Kansas City, Missouri.
She is survived by one son, Ron Bartlett of Pleaant Hill, California, three step-sons, Bob David of Clinton, Jerry Hatfield of Raytown and Paul Hatfield of Independence, one step-daughter, Judy Miller of Cole Camp, one granddaughter, Kimberly McGowan and a great-granddaughter, Mairghread McGowan, both of Los Altos, California, one brother, John Clenin, of Trinidad, Colorado, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Ruby I. Hatfield will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 10, 2004, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Dr. Robert Minshall officiating. Burial will be in the Appleton City Cemetery, Appleton City, Missouri. Body will lie in state after 8:00 A.M., Monday with family receiving friends Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:00 A.M. prior to the funeral service at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw. Cecil William Schildberg

Cecil William Schildberg, Capt, TWA, Commander USNR, age 91, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away at his home on August 2, 2004. He was born on October 21, 1912, in Yakima, Washington.
He spent his early childhood in Seattle, Washington and moved to Los Angeles, California in 1927. He graduated from Bonito Union High School in 1930. In 1932, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. In 1937, he graduated from flight training at Pensacola, Florida as a naval aviator. He flew from such historic naval ships as: the USS Langley, USS Ranger and the USS Saratoga.
In 1940 Cecil joined Transcontinental and Wester Air (TWA) in Burbank, California. He moved to Kansas City in 1942. In 1943 he was commissioned a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and assigned to Squadron VR-3 at Olathe Naval Station, Olathe, Kansas. In 1944, Cecil married Mary Wanda Dulaney. He remained in the Navy Reserve after WWII and retired with the rank of Commander in 1955. In 1945 he resumed his career with TWA as a line check pilot and accumulated approximately 30,000 flying hours by the time of his retirement in 1968. Cecil flew such notable aircraft as: the Douglas DC-2, DC-3, DC-4, Boeing 307-B, Lockheed Constellation, Martin 202, Martin 404 and Convair 880 jets.
Following his retirement, Cecil moved to Warsaw, Missouri on the Lake of the Ozarks. He enjoyed fishing, boating, his grandchildren and an occasional beer. Cecil was a charter member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Warsaw, a life-member of the American Legion Benton County Post #217 of Warsaw and a member of the Silver Eagles Association, Pensacola, Florida. He served many years as an Alderman for the City of Warsaw and most recently was a member of the Warsaw Airport Planning Commission.
Mr. Schildberg was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Nora Slead Schildberg, two sisters, Rovilla Schildberg and Dolores Bellamy, one brother, LaVerne Schildberg and one grandson, Michael William Schildberg.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Schildberg, of the home, one son, William Dulaney Schildberg and wife, Peggy, of Grandview, Missouri, one granddaughter, Kristen Ann Brown and husband, Darby and one great-granddaughter, Piper Evelyn Brown, all of Parker, CO; and one brother, Lynn Schildberg, Buena Park, California.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 5, 2004, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Warsaw. Grave side Services will be at Riverside Cemetery, with military rites by the American Legion Post #217 of Warsaw. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be made to the Benton County Hospice in care of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.
Gordon Dean Marbery

Gordon Dean Marbery, age 80, of Edwards, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Warrensburg, Missouri.
In 1944 he began his employment with General Motors in Kansas City and retired from there after 30 years. Following his retirement, he moved to Edwards, Missouri.
In 1974, he was married to Mary Ann Westerfield and they made their home in Edwards. They enjoyed fishing, hunting, raising cattle and riding their Foxtrotters. They always had a big garden and enjoyed life to the fullest. His wife, Mary Ann, preceded him in death on December 15, 2002.
He is survived by four children, Linda L. Tombaugh of Archie, Missouri, Steven D. Marbery, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Paul A. Marbery, of Warrensburg, Missouri and Lisa D. Tombaugh of Kansas City, Kansas, a brother, Carl A. Marbery, of the state of California, 8 grandchildren, Glenn Gordon Long, Deanna L. Bullard, Ethan Marbery, Blake Marbery, Jason Marbery, Tiffany Parsons, Victoria Smith and Jennifer Tombaugh, 9 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services for Gordon Dean Marbery will be at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, August, 5, 2004 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Interment
of the cremains will be in Shawnee Cemetery in Warsaw.
Carl E. Squibb

Carl Eugene “Gene” Squibb, age 71, of Climax Springs, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at his home. He was born on August 24, 1932, in Republic, Missouri the son of Carl and Obilene Squibb.
He grew up in the Springfield area and attended Pleasant Hope High School. Afterwards he moved to Kansas City were he was employed as a lineman for Independence Power and Light, until his retirement in 1993. On February 11, 1961,he was united in marriage to Mildred Gasparovic in Kansas City, Kansas and made their home in Independence where they raised their family of three daughters and one son.
Carl joined the Masonic Lodge in 1971 and was a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite. He was also a Nobel member of the Ararat Shrine. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid race fan of all types.
He is preceded in death by his father, two brothers, Bob and John Squibb.
He is survived by his wife Millie, of the home, three daughters, Sabrina Banister and her husband Mark Soulis of Kansas City, Lourie Fisher and her husband James of Kansas City, Gina Lindahl and her husband Steve of Thurmont, Maryland, one son, Cris Squibb and his wife Tamara, of Springfield, ten grandchildren; Nick, Jessica, Ryan, Wyatt, Grant, Graham, Audrey, Derrick, Jared and Latasha, his mother, Obilene Squibb, of Springfield, one brother Jack Squibb, and seven sisters, Nancy Squibb, Judy Wright, Kay Sharp, Sally Maggard, Sue Herrin, Sandra Evans and Rebecca Blair.

Kathleen Louise Valentine

Kathleen L. Valentine, age 63, of Warsaw, passed away July 26, 2004 at the Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton, Missouri. She was born on April 12, 1941, in San Francisco, California, the daughter of Hugh Walter and Adeline Louise Cherrington Monger.
Kathleen grew up in the San Francisco area, until joining the Navy, where she served as a secretary to the Department in Arlington, Virginia. She was united in marriage to William J. Finch on January 27, 1962 They made their home in various communities throughout the United States. On May 7, 1979, she was united in marriage to Robert G. Valentine, were they resided in Henderson, Nevada, near Las Vegas for nearly twenty years. In 1998 she moved to Warsaw , under the love and care of her daughter, Michelle, who has served as caregiver and comforter the past several years.
Kathy was an avid gardener, enjoying the wildlife and the flowers that surrounded her. She also enjoyed the ocean as she grew up along the West Coast and collecting ducks. But most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren who were such an important aspect of her life. She was also a member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Warsaw.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Michael P. Finch and one brother, Lyle Monger.
She is survived by two daughters Rebecca Forget and her husband Kelly, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Michelle Garrett and her husband Bernard, of Warsaw, six grandchildren; Eric, Erin, Elyse, Amy, Clifford and Courtney, one sister, Sandy Parrish, of Bryon, California, one brother John Monger, of Las Vegas, Nevada, two nieces Jana and Patty, and three nephews Joe, Brian and Tony, other relatives and many, many friends.

Nannie Helen Mitchell

Nannie Helen Mitchell age 86, of Quincy, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2004 at the Lincoln Community Nursing Home, in Lincoln, Missouri. She was born on July 6, 1918 in Quincy, Missouri, the daughter of Jeff and Nannie Hart Harvey.
She grew up in Benton County, Missouri, living in Quincy, Missouri area for many years. She attended college at Warrensburg and in Bolivar, Missouri, receiving her teaching certificate. On June 24, 1940 she was united in marriage to Stan Mitchell in Versailles, Missouri. After marriage they made their home in the Quincy area, moving to Raytown, Missouri, where she taught school for over 20 years. She retired in 1976, having taught for 33 years. In 1983 they moved back to Quincy where they have made their home for the past 21 years.
She was a member of the Missouri State Teacher’s Association the Raytown Teachers Credit Union and the Raytown Teachers Association. She was also a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church, in Quincy Missouri, and her name was listed in the “Who’s Who in Missouri Education.
Helen is survived by her husband, Stan of the home, and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services for Helen Mitchell will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 26, 2004 at Hopewell Baptist Church, in Quincy Missouri, with Rev. Ken Bolton and Rev. B.R. Tatum, officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday evening at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, Missouri. Juanita Mae Red Wing

Juanita Mae Red Wing, age 61, of Warsaw, passed away Friday, July 16, 2004 at Boone Hospital, in Columbia, Missouri. She was born on June 27, 1943, in Camden County, Missouri, the daughter of Irvin & Mary Wallace Hilburn.
She grew up near Climax Springs, Missouri and graduated from Climax Springs High School in 1961 where she was an accomplished basketball player.
On November 11, 1961, she was united in marriage to Dean Red Wing at Ft. Pierce, South Dakota. Most of their married life was spent in the Warsaw area where they raised their family of three sons.
Juanita was a restauranteur in the Warsaw area and enjoyed working with the public. She enjoyed her flower gardening, playing bingo and her trips to the boats. However, she was first and foremost a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and spending time with her family was very important to her.
She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church of Warsaw.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Dean, of the home, three sons, Ronnie Red Wing of State College, Pennsylvania, Robbie Red Wing of Warsaw and Rodney Red Wing of Howell, Michigan, 7 grandchildren, Kayla, Lakota, Kaitlyn, Erin, Austin, Nicholas and Alexander Red Wing, three brothers, Bill Wiseman of Holden, Missouri, Wesley Hilburn of Warsaw and Kenny Hilburn of Fristoe, two sisters, Fyrn Fonk of Eager, Arizona, and Shirley Burns, of Warsaw, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Elvin "Ebb" Hubbs

Elvin “Ebb” Hubbs, age 86, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2004, at his home. He was born on March 7, 1918, in Benton County the son of Harley and Sally Cochran Hubbs.
He grew up in Benton County and graduated from Warsaw High School in 1937. On February 4, 1939 he was united in marriage to Fyrn Halley in Clinton. They lived in Benton County where Ebb mostly farmed. They moved to their farm near Clinton in 1957. In addition to farming, he worked some construction and drove a school bus.
He was a member of Northeast Baptist Church in Clinton and served in many positions there until his health failed him. He was also active in the National Farmers Organization.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Heida Martin.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Fyrn, of the home, one son, Kelly, and his wife Carolyn, one grand-daughter, Dena Gray, and her husband Chris, all of Clinton, two brothers, Jack of Kansas City, Clayton, of Massachusetts, two sisters, Nina Powell, of Warsaw, and Freda Ranspot, of Springfield, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Elvin “Ebb” Hubbs will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2004, at 10:00 A.M. at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rev. Jim Eager, officiating. Family visitation will be on Thursday, September 9, 2004 , from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Coal Cemetery.
Mary Dee Hale Green

Mary Dee Hale Green, age 83, of Climax Springs, Missouri, passed away Monday evening, September 6, 2004, at Lake of the Ozarks Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri. She was born on October 27, 1920, in Henry County, Missouri, the daughter of John D. and Burla Curnutt Russell.
She graduated from Climax Springs High School in 1939 and received her teaching certificate from Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, Missouri. She had received refresher courses from Northern University in Marquette, Michigan.
She taught in the elementary grades in public schools in Michigan for 25 years and later for Climax Springs School District for 10 years, retiring in 1983.
She was a member of the Green Ridge Baptist Church and a member of both the Michigan Association of Retired Teachers and the Missouri Association of Retired Teachers.
Mary Dee loved to quilt and has made many quilts for her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandy Briones on June 26, 2001, and two brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Charles, of the home, one son, Ben Hale, of Silver Lake, Michigan, two step-sons, John Green of Eugene, Missouri and Ron Green, of Climax Springs, Missouri, five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mary Dee Hale Green will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 11, 2004, at the Reser Funeral Home with Rev. Francis Cline officiating. Norman L. Gray

Norman L. Gray, age 64, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 5, 2004, at his home in the Woodland Shores Development near Warsaw. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas, on April 1, 1940, the son of Ralph and Delores Gray.
He had made his home in the metropolitan Kansas City area where he was employed as a maintenance worker for the Kansas City Terminal Railway. He retired in 1990. On March 12, 1994, he was married to Sue Mead at Lincoln, Missouri. They made their home in the Woodland Shores Development.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed many hours in the woods and waters of the Missouri Ozarks. And he holds the patent for an automatic fish catcher he called the “Lazy Hooker.”
Norman was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dean Gray, of Downey, California.
He is survived by his wife, Sue, of the home, three sons, Mark Gray, of Blue Springs, Missouri, Philip Gray, of Westwood, Kansas, and David Gray, of Oak Grove, Missouri, one step-daughter, Kimberly Mills, of North Hollywood, California, four grandchildren, one brother, Michael Gray, of Independence, Missouri, four sisters, Sharon Montes, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Patty Casey, of Blue Springs, Missouri, Mary Beth Romines, of Parkville, Missouri, Nancy Williams, of New Strawn, Kansas, a cousin, George Gray, of Independence, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Charles E. Reinhardt

Charles E. Reinhardt, age 101, passed away Sunday morning, November 7, 2004, at the Warsaw Health & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, Missouri. He was born near Hickory Hill, Missouri, on October 28, 1903, the son of Julius Charles and Agnes Cordelia Loesch Reinhardt.
He grew up in Cole County, Missouri. At the age of eighteen he went to Kansas to work in the wheat harvest. He then returned to Jefferson City, Missouri, where he began to drive deliveries for the Scheriff Truck Lines.
On March 1, 1937, he was united in marriage to Sophia Alvina Linhardt at St. Louis, Missouri. They made their home in St. Louis and he worked as a city delivery driver for Dohrn Transfer. They then moved to their farm home at Mt. Sterling in Osage County near Linn, Missouri. There he worked for the Linhardt Brothers, owned his own truck, hauling materials for the manufacture of fire brick. And later worked as a delivery driver for Central Dairy Products in Jefferson City and finally retired from there at the age of sixty-nine.
His wife preceded him in death in September of 1991. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Reinhardt, and two sisters, Myrtle Larkin and Maud Miles, and one half-sister, Viola Lindsey
He was confirmed in the Lutheran Church and was baptized as a young man at the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in St. Louis, Missouri.
Charles Reinhardt is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Wanda Spry, and her husband, Arnold, of Warsaw, Missouri, one grandson, Jeffrey Spry, and his wife, Jamie, of Warsaw, four great-grandchildren, Hannah Lynn, Ryan Cameron, Hayley Leann, and Brooke Sierra Spry, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Charles Reinhardt will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 9, 2004, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Rev. Richard Anthony officiating. Graveside services and interment
will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday at Riverview Cemetery in Jefferson City, Missouri. No visitation. Friends may call after 9:00 A.M., Monday at the Reser Funeral Home.
Edward Villers

Edward Villers, age 79, of Warsaw, passed away Friday, November 5, 2004 at the Bothwell Regional Health Care Center in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born on September 9, 1925, in Higginsville, Missouri, the son of Herbert and Hazel Elizabeth Fry Villers.
Ed lived in Warsaw most of his life. He enjoyed working on cars, building race cars and going fishing. For over 25 years, he was employed by Paxton’s Garage in Warsaw, retiring at the age of 72.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Villers, a granddaughter, Christina Marie Moore, four brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are two sons, John Harney of Lompoc,California, James Viller of Warsaw, three daughters, Patricia Oldham and Cindy Moore, both of Grandview, and Barbara Conwell of Warsaw, a step-son, Billy Middleton of Cole Camp, 18 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, one brother, Junior Villers of Arkansas City,Kansas and Jeannie Arnold of Butler, Missouri, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Edward Villers will be at 3:00 P.M., Friday, November 12, 2004, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Bill Roberts officiating. Bonnie Lee Hardison, III

Bonnie Lee Hardison III, age 59, passed away November 3, 2004 at the Bothwell Regional Hospital in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born on December 19, 1944, in Portsmouth, Virginia, the son of Bonnie Lee and Christine Hardison Jr.
On June 26, 1964 he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving his country for over 35 years, employed as a maintenance supervisor for the Aerospace Data Facility for the Department of Defense in Aurora, Colorado, before retiring to the Warsaw area in October of 2000.
He was a Vice-Commander for the American Legion Post #217 of Warsaw, an avid outdoorsmen, enjoying hunting, fishing and golf.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Arletta, of the home, one daughter, Jennifer Norman, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, one son, Bonnie Lee Hardison IV, of Phoenix, Arizona, two step-children Emma and Kenny Thomas, of Warsaw, two sisters, Mary Alice Branscome and her husband Teddy and Janey Culpepper and her husband Patrick, all of Portsmouth, Virginia, three grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.

Vira L. Daniels

Vira Lucille Daniels, age 85, of Warsaw, passed away Monday, November 1, 2004, at the Warsaw Health Care Center after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. The youngest of six children, she was born on January 20, 1919, on the family farm near Climax Springs, Missouri, the daughter of Floyd Alonza and Elbert Vira Feaster Ellis.
On October 25, 1934, she was united in marriage to Auto Herman Daniels at Hermitage, Missouri.
Vira was a dedicated, devoted and loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was an accomplished seamstress. She was always energetic and organized many gatherings of family and friends. Among the many things she will be remembered for are the fish frys hosted at her home, her delicious home cooking and especially her pies. Outgoing and generous she was a member of the Popular Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #217 Ladies Auxiliary of Warsaw. She and Auto loved music and dancing.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Murial Canfield and Anna Young, three brothers, William, Wilbur and Howard Ellis and one son, Doyle Floyd who died in infancy.
Surviving is her loving husband, Auto, of the home, three sons, Charles Daniels and his wife, Lucy, of Edwards, Phillip Daniels, and his wife, Dianne, of Warsaw and Jerry Daniels, and his wife, Joan, of Las Vegas, Nevada, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services for Vira L. Daniels will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 6, 2004, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Rev. Don Liebel officiating. Burial will be in Climax Springs Cemetery, Climax Springs, Missouri. Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Saturday prior to the funeral services. Pallbearers will be Earl Martin, Delmer Hutton, Homer Yount, Arnold Green, Steve Daniels and Ralph Elsea. Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Wood and Ray Daniels. Oren J. Day age 75, of Edwards, Missouri, passed away, Sunday, October 24, 2004 at the Lake Regional Health Center, in Osage Beach, Missouri. He was born on July 4, 1929 in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
He was a career military man serving in the United States Marines.

Helen M. Eidson, age 95, of Palm Coast, Florida, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 25, 2004, at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Palm Coast, Florida. She was born on April 2, 1909, in Camden County, Missouri, the daughter of August and Mary Meier Kumpf.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Volusia Flager for the Palm Coast Hospice House, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32119.
On August 23, 1935, she was united in marriage to Ovie Eidson. They spent most of their married life in Kansas City with the exception of a few years they lived near Camdenton.
She was a member of the Marlborough United Methodist Church in Kansas City, Missouri.
Her husband, Ovie, preceded her in death on June 9, 1995. She continued to make her home in Kansas City until three years ago when she moved to Palm Coast, Florida to be near her son.
She is survived by one son, Dennis Eidson, of Palm Coast, Florida, one daughter, Judith Williams, of Richmonda, Virginia, one brother, Carl Kumpf, of Kansas City, Missouri, three grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Spencer Lane Burke, son of Randall Lee and RaShell Lynne Nall Burke, was born on February 21, 1987, in Poplar, Bluff, Missouri, and departed this life on October 18, 2004,in Van Buren, Missouri. He had attained the age of seventeen years, seven months and twenty-seven days.
Spencer had resided in Van Buren since moving back here from Warsaw, Missouri, in July of 2004. He was of the Lutheran faith and was a Junior at the Van Buren High School He enjoyed basketball, football, golf, horseback riding, hunting and fishing and being with his friends.
Survivors include his parents, Randy and RaShell Burke, of Warsaw, one sister, Maranda Burke, of Warsaw; paternal grandparents, Raye and Pat Burke, of Van Buren; maternal grandparents, Karen and Keith Sanders, of Van Buren, and Earl and Marilyn Nall, of Fair Play, Colorado; paternal great-grandmother, Margie Duffe, of Ava; maternal great-grandmother, Lillian Crass, of Van Buren; three uncles, Lanny and Janet Burke, of Van Buren, and Eddie and Lisa Burke, and Wate Robertson, of Ellsinore; two aunts, Paula Burke, and Callia Grindstaff, both of Van Buren; cousins, Robbie, Lorie, P.J. Catie, Krystal, Stephanie Tylor, Tiffany, Danielle and Dustin, and many other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.

Paul E. Holtrop, age 60, of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2004, at his home near Tebo Corner. He was born on February 15, 1944, the son of John and Sophia Holtrop.
He is preceded in death by parents, one sister, Joan Holtrop.
He is survived by his daughter Monica Huether, of Brandon, South Dakota, one brother, Gerry Holtrop, of Hospers, Iowa, and one sister Jean Sears, of Denver, Colorado, two grandchildren, Brock and Karli Huether.

William H. Brundige

William H. Brundige, age 91, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Tuesday morning, October 12, 2004, at the Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born in Ransom, Kansas, on April 25, 1913, and is the last survivor of six children born to Albert LeRoy and Ada Amelia Farr Brundige.
He grew up in Wyoming and moved to Kansas City, Missouri, as a young man. There he was employed as a steel worker at Armco Steel. He retired in 1976 and moved to Warsaw, Missouri. In 1983 he was married to Margaret McWhorter Wimmer Stoneking. They have made their home in Warsaw ever since.
He attended the First United Methodis Church in Warsaw and was a member of the Steel Workers Local in Kansas City, Missouri.
Bill is survived by his wife, Margaret, of the home, one son, Donald Brundige, and his wife, Betty, of Warsaw, one daughter, Marian True, and her husband, Rodney, of Cole Turkey Acres Development, one step-son, Michael Wimmer, and his wife, Marietta, of Liberty, Missouri, one step-daughter, Janice Sears, and her husband, Fred, of Belton, Missouri, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lula E. Crouthers, age 95, of Oak Grove, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at the Oak Grove Nursing and Rehab Center in Oak Grove, Missouri. She was born on July 17, 1909, in Benton County, Missouri the daughter of Dave and Lou Blake.
She was united in marriage to William Crouthers in 1928. They made their home in the Climax Springs and Kansas City areas through the years. She later was united in marriage to Dick Omer, making their home in the Warsaw area.
She is preceded in death by two husbands, William Crouthers and Dick Omer.
She is survived by three sons, Richard Crouthers of Nogalas, Arizona, Joe Crouthers, of Blue Springs, Missouri and Jerry Crouthers, of Lompoc, California, two granddaughters, Cathy Hughes, of Blue Springs, Missouri and Caroline Bradford, of Platte City, Missouri, numerous great-grandchildren other relatives and friends.
Grave Side Services for Lula Crouthers will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 16, 2004, at the Bethel Campground Cemetery in Edwards, Missouri. Arrangements under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.

Jeanne M. Ward, age 52, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly at her home. She was born on September 22, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Robert J. and Dorthy M. Walker.
She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Ward, one son, Nate Ward, both of Hayes, Kansas, her parents, Robert and Dorothy Walker, of Warsaw, a brother, Robert E. Walker, of Kansas City, Missouri, a sister, Linda Walker, of Phoenix, Arizona, several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 19, 2004, at Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri with Fr. Richard Colbert, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Warsaw.
