Raymond C. York
October 8th, 2004
Raymond C. York, age 87, of Warsaw, passed away at his home in Tip Top Hills, Friday evening, October 8, 2004. He was born on June 13, 1917, in Putnam County, Indiana, the son of Elmer O. and Huldah Franklin York.
He grew up in Indiana and on September 15, 1940, was united in marriage to Freida Lydick in Putnam County, Indiana.
In 1953, Raymond joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was a heavy equipment mechanic and worked for several construction companies throughout the Midwest.
In 1973, he retired to Tip Top Hills outside Warsaw. He soon became bored with retirement and purchased a backhoe and dump truck and went to work until summers became to hot and winters too cold and he sold his equipment. He then sold used furniture and restored antiques. He loved woodworking, going to auctions and fishing. He main passion was collecting anything to do with steam engines and trains.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 63 years, Freida, a daughter, Deborah Lynn York, a brother, Cleo York, two sisters, Opal Lyons and Ruth Buchanan and a great-grandson, Zachary Olson.
Surviving is a son, Melvin York, and his wife, Beverly, of Blue Springs, Missouri; a daughter, Barbara Johnson, of Warsaw; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many wonderful friends and neighbors.
Grave Side Services and Interment
will be at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at Shawnee Cemetery with Bill Roberts officiating. Pallbearers will be Herb Maddux, Sr., Brian Maddux, John Richerson, Chris Siegman, George Boddy and Bob Haley. Honorary Pallbearers are Leroy Moon, Andy Kammerich, Ward North, Arnie Clifton, Ed Massey and Jack Kerns. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M, Tuesday, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw. Memorials may be made to the Benton County Hospice in care of the funeral home.
Marvin F. Tatge
October 6th, 2004
Marvin F. Tatge, age 91, of Warsaw, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Cole Camp, Missouri. He was born July 29, 1913, at White City, Kansas, the son of Fred and Louise Dieckman Tatge.
In 1934 he moved to Chicago and made his home there until 1942. On September 25, 1943, he was united in marriage to Edna V. Harbison at Monroe, Michigan. They made their home in Detroit, Michigan from 1942 until 1957, moving to New Orleans. In 1962, they moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Marvin was a sales and marketing representative for Brunswick Bowling and Billiard’s for 30 years. In 1978, he retired and they moved to White Branch Resort near Warsaw and in April of 1984, to their home at 637 Hawthorne in Warsaw.
He was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in White City, Kansas and in 1927 was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran. Since making his home in Warsaw, he was a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church of Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna, in April of 2001 and a grandson, David Tatge.
Surviving is a son, Roy Tatrge, of Detroit, Michigan and a daughter, Carol Terry, of Kansas City, Missouri, seven grandsons, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Marvin F. Tatge will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 11, 2004, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Morris Meseke, officiating. Burial will be in the Eldon Cemetery, Eldon, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Patrick Terry, Paul Terry, John Tatge, Kurt Tatge, and Bruce Tatge. Daniel L. Chenier

Daniel L. Chenier, age 66, of Warsaw, passed away Monday, October 4, 2004, at his home near Warsaw. He was born on October 18, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Everest and Jeanette Kalish Chenier.
He was raised in Chicago and graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in 1955. He then entered the Air Force and was stationed overseas for three years. He returned to Chicago and on May 28, 1960, he was married to Carol King. Unto this union three children were born. They lived in several different places in the Midwest where he was involved in sales, including real estate and chemicals.
He was a twenty-two year member and founder of the Elk’s Lodge in Excelsior Springs, MO and Elk’s Lodge # 2783 in Warsaw, MO. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #217 in Warsaw, MO and a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Warsaw, MO.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing Truman Lake, Lake Superior and the northern lakes and lakes in Canada. He loved spending time with his children and his grandchildren and supported them in everything they were involved in.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, of the home, two sons, Christopher and his wife, Karen, Michael and his wife, Vicki, all of Rayville, Missouri, one daughter, Antoinette Bullock, and her husband, Barry of Clinton, Missouri, five grandchildren, Jeremy, Jami and Zachery McCannon, Joshua and Caleb Bullock, two great-grandchildren, Wyli and Gavin. He is also survived by one brother, Phillip Chenier and his wife, Pat of, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, one sister, Yvonne Chenier of Wheeling, Illinois and close family friends, Don and Lois Strader of Sun City, Arizona.
Cremation. Memorial services for Daniel Chenier will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 9, 2004, at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw with Father Richard Colbert and Rev. Charles Rose officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Benton County Hospice in c/o of the Reser Funeral Home.
Addie Lou Skaggs

Addie Lou Skaggs, retired school teacher and Blue Branch resident since 1979, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, at the Warsaw Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born November 18, 1914, in Whitewright, Texas, she was the youngest child of Major William and Dora Simmons Jones. After growing up in the Wheeler, Texas area, she married Robert E. (Gene) Skaggs on March 6, 1939 at Sayre, Oklahoma.
Addie Lou began her teaching career in 1953, first at rural schools in the Marshfield, Missouri area, then in Wichita, Strong City and Emporia, Kansas. The couple returned to her native Texas in 1969 to teach another ten years at Lefors Elementary. Upon retirement, the couple moved to Warsaw,where they were members of First Baptist Church.
She held a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree from Emporia State University.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her husband of Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, MO, two daughters, Marjorie Stotler and son-in-law, Gus, of Chelsea, Alabama and Judy Duncan and son-in-law, Gary, of Chillicothe, Missouri, a son Robert J. Skaggs of Dallas, Texas, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Addie Lou Skaggs will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, October 9, 2004, at Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Dr. Larry Nail officiating. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery, Warsaw. Mitzi Kintz Edde

Mitzi Kintz Edde, age 67, of Warsaw, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2004, at her home in North Shores Resort near Warsaw. She was born on September 11, 1937, in Saline County, Missouri, the daughter of Homer and Ruth Shelton Dial.
She grew up in Saline County and graduated from Nelson High School in 1955. She made her home in the Kansas City area and was employed as an assistant manager for Denny’s in Independence in the late 1960's.
On December 8, 1977, she was married to Bob Edde at the Saline Court House in Marshall, Missouri. They made their home in Malta Bend until 1994 when they moved to North Shore Resort near Warsaw.
She is survived by her husband, Bob, of the home, three sons, Rick Kintz of Liberty, Missouri, Chesley Kintz of Independence and Victor Kintz of Las Vegas, Nevada, 6 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, four step-children, Gina Ballew and Bobbie Eddie, both of Slater and Linda Lyon and Martin Edde, both of Marshall, 7 step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandson, one brother, Homer Dial, Jr., of Marshall, three sisters, Ann Green and Mary Roe, both of Arrow Rock, Missouri and Joey Pagel of Flemington, Missouri, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Charlene L. Spears

Charlene L. Spears, age 70, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Saturday evening, September 25, 2004, at the Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Missouri. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on December 8, 1933, the daughter of Harry and Elizabeth Dozier Grigsby.
She grew up in Kansas and was there united in marriage to Robert Runyan. Unto this union four children were born.
In 1972 she was united in marriage to John Spears in Kansas City. They made their home there until moving to Warsaw in 1976.
She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Warsaw.
She is survived by her husband, John, of the home, one son, Luke Runyon, of Phoenix, Arizona, one daughter, Debbie Taylor and her husband, Gary, of Warsaw, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, four step-sons, Johnny Spears, Danny Spears, Kenny Spears, and Jessee Spears, and one step-daughter, Lillian Vanderford, all of Ft. Scott, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Runyon on November 4, 1996, and Johnny Runyon on July 13, 1976.
Charlene is also survived by four sisters, Dorothy Runyon, of Apache Junction, Arizona, Ruth Anderson, of Tightwad, Missouri, Mary Mc Phail, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Judy Hopkins, of Kansas City, Kansas, and three brothers, Bill Grigsby, and Bob Grigsby, both of Kansas City, Missouri, and Harry Grigsby, of Quincy, Missouri, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Meraldine Beck
September 25th, 2004
Meraldine Beck, age 66, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 25, 2004, at her home near Warsaw, Missouri. She was born in Arizona on December 7, 1937, the daughter Charles T. and Minnie Mae Barnes Cofield.
She grew up in Arizona and moved with her family to Shafter, California, as a teenager. On November 5, 1954, she was married to Donald E. Beck. They made their home in California until moving to Warsaw, Missouri, in 1999.
She is survived by her husband, Don, of the home, one son, Donald E. Beck, Jr. of Needles, California, two daughters. Carolyn Ann Driskell, of Riddle, Oregon, and Tammie Lyn Beck, of Warsaw, eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one sister, Barbara Jean Pelfrey, of Bakersfield, California, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 30, 2004, at the Warsaw Bible Church with Rev. Jason McCray officiating. Burial will be in the Shawnee Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.
Dennis Shinn

Dennis “Pug” Shinn, age 94. of Humansville, Missouri, formerly of Warsaw, passed away Tuesday morning, September 21, 2004, at Big Spring Care Center in Humansville. He was born near Wisdom, Missouri, on August 5, 1910, one of 12 children born to John R. and Rosa Lee Foster Shinn.
He grew up in the Hogles Creek community. He was saved in a tent meeting in September of 1952 and was a member of Freedom Missionary Baptist Church near Quincy, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, Ed, Bryan, Fred, Ferd, Bob, Alf and his twin brother, Ben and three sisters, Stella, Bertha and Daisy.
Dennis is survived by one sister, Ada Arvieux, of Sedalia, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Dennis Shinn will be at 1100 A.M., Friday, September 24, 2004, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Rev. Marshall Henderson and Rev. Jeff Shrable officiating. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Friday, prior to the services at the funeral home.
Arminta K. Pittman

Arminta Kay Pittman, age 63, of Edwards, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2004, at her home. She was born on September 12, 1941, at New Castle, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John Crawford Harkless and Ethel Irene Hunt.
She grew up in New Castle, Pennsylvania and was a life-long member of the Unity Baptist Church in Harlansburg, Pennsylvania. On June 28, 1964, she was married to Ronald Pittman. They made their home in California where she worked as a technician for General Electric for 22 years. In 1993, they moved to their lake home near Edwards.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Clair Harkless and Herb Harkless.
Surviving is her husband, Ronald, of the home, one daughter, Bobbie O’Dell and a grandson, Clayton O’Dell, both of Lenoir City, Tennessee, two sisters, Alice Enos and Kathy Wimer, both of the state of Pennsylvania, a brother, Jim Harkless of the state of South Carolina, other relatives and friends.

Jack Warren Kellner
September 19th, 2004
Jack Warren Kellner, age 79, of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2004, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born in Sedalia, on October 5, 1924, the oldest of six children born to John Wesley Aaron and Zella Blanche Calvin Kellner.
While Jack was young the family moved to Warsaw. He attended school in Warsaw until the 8th grade. In May of 2002, he received an honorary high school diploma from Warsaw High School.
Jack enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 18. He served in Germany during World War II and was a prisoner of war during the Battle of the Bulge. He received several medals, among them were 5 bronze service stars and a purple heart. After the war he returned home to Warsaw.
He was united in marriage to Zelma Yount on July 10, 1948. To this union, four children were born; three sons, Jack Wayne, Archie Al and Johnny Ray and one daughter, Kathy Lynn. They made their home in Benton County, where Jack worked as a farmer and later worked as a gunstock carver for Fajen’s Gunstock until he retired.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John & Zella Kellner, three brothers, Jim Kellner, Bill Kellner and Donnie Kellner, his wife, Zelma in 1992, a son Archie, in 1998, and a daughter, Kathy Kellner Stubbs in 2002.
Surviving is two sons, Jack Wayne Kellner and Johnny Ray Kellner, both of Warsaw, seven grandchildren, Brian Kellner of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Christy Kellner Huffner of Independence, Gregory Wayne Kellner, Jacqueline Kellner, Jennifer Kellner Runyan, and Monica Kellner, all of Warsaw, and Archie Kellner of Kansas City, Missouri, nice great-grandchildren. Also surviving is two sisters, June Kellner Allen of Oskaloosa, Iowa and Violet Kellner Lane of Warsaw, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Virgil C. Phillips

Virgil C. Phillips, age 86, of Cross Timbers, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2004, at the Christian Health Care Center in Hermitage, Missouri. He was born on June 30, 1918 in Hickory County, Missouri, the son of David Fletcher and Susan Bessie Mock Phillips.
He worked his way through school and graduated from School of the Ozarks at Point Lookout, Missouri in 1935. It was at that school that he made his profession of faith in his Lord.
On April 21, 1941, he was united in marriage to Arlene Mabary and unto this union, two daughters, Judy and Beverly, were born.
Virgil loved to work and was hard working as long as his health allowed him to do so. Since 1940 he farmed and raised cattle in Camden and Hickory counties. He was always willing to help any neighbor no matter what the job, anytime or anywhere. Virgil was a honest man who’s motto was “never talk about a person behind his back that you wouldn’t say to their face”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and three sisters, and a great-grandson, Bryce Kochnowski, in July of 2000.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Arlene, of the home, two daughters, Judy Retherford of Edwards and Judy Ratliff, of Cross Timbers, six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Virgil C.Phillips will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 18, 2004, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Rev. Terry Gentry, Sr., officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Cross Timbers, Missouri. Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M, Saturday, prior to the funeral services at Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw. Betty J. Teeter

Betty J. Teeter, age 78, of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2004, at Delmar Gardens of Chesterfield in Chesterfield, Missouri. She was born on October 13, 1925, at Dadeville, Missouri, the daughter of O.V. and Helen Lorene Kirby Singleton.
As a young child she moved with her family to Warsaw and attended and graduated from Warsaw High School in 1943. She then attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and graduated with a degree in Home Economics. For a short time she was employed by the Kansas University Extension Department.
On January 6, 1952, she was united in marriage to Earl Teeter at the Warsaw United Methodist Church by Rev. Wesley Hampton. Shortly after their marriage, they made their home in Greenville, South Carolina and Nashville, Tennessee and in Georgia while Earl was fulfilling his military enlistment. While Earl was overseas, Betty returned to Warsaw and was employed by the Community Bank.
While making their home in Warsaw she was also employed by Bishops Gunstock for seven years and then taught home economics at Warsaw High School. They later moved to Columbia, Missouri and in 1963 to Florissant. In 1967, they moved to their home in St. Peters, Missouri. Betty taught 3rd grade at St. Peters Elementary for 16 years and then 4th grade at Hawthorne Elementary for 6 years.
She was a member of the Cornerstone United Methodist Church of O’Fallon, Missouri, the Missouri State Teacher’s Association and the Missouri National Educator’s Association. She could always be found helping with school and church projects and activities. She was also an avid bridge player.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Bradley Hill.
Surviving is her husband, Earl, of the home, one son, Hal Teeter, and his wife, Barb, of St. Charles, Missouri and one daughter, Lori Hill of St. Peter’s, Missouri, five grandchildren, Andrea and Brianne Hill of St. Peters, Missouri and Joshua, Blake and Crystal Teeter, all of St. Charles, Missouri, two brothers, Bob Singleton of Clermont, Florida and Jim Singleton of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, two sisters, Joan Burton of Warsaw / Waddell, Arizona and Judy Singleton of Sun City, Arizona, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Betty J. Teeter will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, September 18, 2004, at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Rev. Richard Anthony officiating. Lloyd E. Flippin

Lloyd E. Flippin, age 77, of Climax Springs, Missouri, passed away Monday afternoon, September 13, 2004, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri. He was born on the family farm near Climax Springs, Missouri, on November 14, 1926, the son of Elgie and Ella Mae Green Flippin.
He grew up in Camden County and served in the United States Navy as a veteran of World War II. On February 7, 1952, was united in marriage to Mary Lou Cade at Harrison, Arkansas. They made their home at Climax Springs until the early 1960's. They moved to Kansas City where he was employed as an assembly worker at the General Motors Fairfax assembly plant for thirty-five and a half years. He retired in January of 1991 and returned to the farm near Climax Springs.
He was a farmer at heart. While he lived and worked in Kansas City, almost every weekend, every holiday and vacation was spent on the farm where he kept cattle and other livestock and put up hay for many years.
He was a member of United Auto Workers Local #31 in Kansas City, Kansas.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Mary, of the home, two daughters, Melody Eagan, and her husband, Mike, of Kingston, Missouri, and Elizabeth Blankinship, and her husband, Tim, of Warsaw, Missouri, one son, Steven Flippin, also of Warsaw, three grandchildren, Michele Eagan, Jake and Jessie Blankinship, two sisters, Lela Tucker, of Climax Springs, and Lillian McGinnis, of Carthage, Missouri, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Zakary Don Venegas

Zakary Don Venegas, age 21, of Deepwater, Missouri passed away, Sunday, September 12, 2004, in a automobile accident. He was born on November 16, 1982 in Dallas Texas.
He grew up in Dallas with his mother and lived there until she preceded him in death in 1994. He then moved to Warsaw, Missouri, to live with his grandparents.
Zakary was an active fun-loving teenager that enjoyed skateboarding, swimming, fishing, four-wheelers, motorcycles, and it was all better done with his friends.
Besides his mother he was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Bonnie Taylor.
Zakary is survived by his grandparents, Donald and Kathee Jaquess, of Deepwater, Missouri, one brother, Josh Milner, of Cole Camp, Missouri, his grandmother, Bonnie Taylor, a nephew, Chase Lavallee, one uncle, Jerry Lavallee, and aunt Jackie Lavallee, all of Deepwater, and another aunt, Jannetta Gagnon, of El Cajon, California, an uncle, Mickey Hinkel, of Racket, Missouri, all of the Taylor Family in Dallas, Texas, other relatives and many friends.

Willard Boyd McLaughlin

Willard Boyd McLaughlin age 64 of Warsaw, Missouri passed away, Sunday, September 12, 2004 at Bothwell Regional Health Center, in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born on August 13, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Willard B. and Mary Preusser McLaughlin.
He was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Willard worked for many years in construction. He loved country music, working on cars and watching the Nascar circuit.
He was preceded in death by one brother Jimmy McLaughlin and his grandparents.
He is survived by 2 sons, Mike McLaughlin, and his wife Jennifer, of Nakona, TX, and Jerry McLaughlin, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, 2 daughters Teresa Tatum, and her husband David, and Michelle Blake and her husband Steve, all of Warsaw. Also surviving are 5 grandchlidren, 6 sisters, Jean Verde, Linda Larson, both of Warsaw, Kathy McLaughlin, of Sedalia, Rainee Keltner, and her husband Charlie, also of Warsaw, Marissa McLaughlin, of Isreal and Ellen Zeidan, of LeMonte, Missouri, 3 brothers, Carl McLaughlin, of Sedalia, Marty McLaughlin, of Tipton, Missouri and Mike McLaughlin and his wife, Lisa of Warsaw, Missouri and other relatives and many friends.

for Willard Boyd McLaughlin will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 16, 2004, at Shawnee Cemetery in Warsaw, with Rev. Johnny McLaughlin, officiating. Stephen E. Roberds

Stephen E. Roberds age 60 of Edwards, Missouri passed away Saturday, September 11, 2004 at his home in Edwards. He was born on March 1, 1944 in St. Joseph Missouri, the son of Alvin and Ida Shaffer Roberds.
He grew up in Dearborn, Missouri, where he spent most of his childhood.
On May 31, 1961 he was inducted into the United States Marine Corp. serving in Vietnam, and was Honorably Discharged on May 13, 1963. On May 20, 1967 he was united in marriage to Kathryn Williamson in Dearborn, Missouri, making their home in Dearborn. He worked for Folgers Coffee for 26 years retiring in 1994. In 2000 they moved to Holiday Hills Resort, near Edwards, Missouri, at the Lake of The Ozarks.
He enjoyed welding, hunting and fishing. He also loved driving a school bus for the Climax Springs School District taking handicapped children on trips.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn, of the home; 3 sons, Jeremy Roberds, and his wife, Laurie, of Kansas City, Missouri, Jason Roberds, and his wife Brenda, of Smithville, Missouri and Chris Roberds, of Dearborn, Missouri. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, and another one expecting soon, 3 brothers, Gene Roberds, and his wife Martha, of Oak Grove, Missouri, Dave Roberds and his wife Sue, of Dearborn, Missouri and Ronald Roberds, and his wife, Donna, of Kansas City, Missouri and 2 sisters, Pam Anderson, and her husband Pete, of Destrehan, LA. Other survivors include a foster son, Mike Taylor, of Kansas City, Missouri, nieces and nephews, and other relatives and many friends.

Brock Allen Kruger

Brock Allen Kruger, age 18, of Warsaw, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2004. He was born on July 20, 1986, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, the son of John and Kathy Walton Kruger.
Brock grew up in Oklahoma and attended school in Charleston, South Carolina and Pompenio Beach, Flordia. He later moved to Warsaw, Missouri in July 1998 where he attended and graduated from Warsaw High School, the class of 2004.
Brock enjoyed the water where he spent countless hours fishing and riding his waverunner. He also enjoyed playing pool, but most of all he enjoyed life.
He is preceded in death by one grandfather Harvey Lewis Kruger, and his mother’s parents
He is survived by his father John Kruger and his wife Kitty, of Warsaw, his mother Kathy Walton, of Wanette, Oklahoma, two sisters Christine Griffin and her husband Travis, of Beale Air Force Base, in California, and Micah McDaniel and her husband, one brother Josh McDaniel, one step-sister Kindra Harms, one step-brother Charles Lepan, his grandparents Bill and Carol Poppenga, of Lennox, South Dakota, nine aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, other relatives and many friends.

John Brandon Bartee age 19, of Lincoln, Missouri passed away, Thursday, September 9, 2004. He was born on May 9, 1985 in Columbia, Missouri the son of Wade Bartee and Tammy Prewett.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, John L. Bartee.
He is survived by his parents; Wade Bartee of Hermitage, Missouri and Tammy Prewett, of Preston, Missouri. Also surviving is one brother, Justin Bartee, of Hermitage, his matermal grandmother, Eva Bell and his paternal grandmother Jennie Bartee Perry. Other surviving relatives include aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends.
Memorial services for John Brandon Bartee will be held at 7:00 P.M.,Tuesday evening, September 14, 2004 at the Reser Funeral Home, in Warsaw with Bill Roberts, officiating. Ross Hall

Robert Ross Hall, age 72, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Friday morning, February 4, 2005, at the Bothwell Regional Hospital in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born on March 6, 1932, in Benton, Kansas, the son of Frank D. and Meda Duncan Hall.
Ross made his home in Overland Park, Kansas, where he was employed as truck driver for Shock Transfer in Kansas City, Kansas for 27 years. On December 3, 1983, he was united in marriage to Carol Tritle. They continued to make there home in the Kansas City area, until moving to Lebanon, Missouri in 1994 and later to Warsaw, Missouri in 1996.
Ross was a member of Teamsters Local #41, of Kansas City, Missouri. He enjoyed playing the steel guitar, flying small engine aircraft and was a winchester nut.
Ross is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Pearl Hall.
He is survived by his wife Carol, of the home, three daughters, Monica Smith and her husband Michael, of Independence, Missouri, Janet Armstrong and her husband Rick, of Witchia, Kansas and Tammy Reynolds and her husband Lawrence, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, three step-sons, twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday evening, February 7, 2005 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at the Benton Cemetery, in Benton, Kansas. Leta Bybee

Leta M. Bybee, age 91, of Warsaw, passed away Wednesday evening, February 2, 2005, at the Warsaw Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on July 31, 1913, in Avery, Missouri, the daughter of Walter and Ada Breshears Button.
She was united in marriage to John W. Dawson on December 19, 1929. They made their home on the family farm near Warsaw, where, unto this union, one daughter, Betty, was born. She was employed as a cashier clerk for Warsaw Cash Hardware for 30 years, until retiring in 1978. She was preceded in death by her husband John, in 1994.
In 1996, she was united in marriage to Shelly Bybee. They continued to make their home in Warsaw. He preceded her in death in 2000.
She was a founding charter member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Warsaw, where she was a Sunday School Teacher for 40 years. She also served as church secretary for a number of years.
Leta enjoyed cooking and was famous in this community for her fried chicken and homemade pies. She enjoyed playing the piano and was very proficient even though she lacked the ability to read music. However, her favorite activity was spending time with her family. Leta was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Lena Jenkins, one brother, Roy Button, and one great-grandson, Greg Lutman.
She is survived by her daughter Betty Lutman and her husband Curt, one grandson, Lance Lutman and his wife Mary, and one granddaughter Jan Adams and her husband Rick, all of Warsaw, three great-grandchildren, Scott, Darin & Ryan, three great-great grandchildren, Beau, Chance and Ashton, two brothers, Ralph & Ray Button, of Warsaw, several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services for Leta Bybee, will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 5, 2005, at the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Warsaw, with Rev. Bill Hix, officiating. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday evening at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Burial will be in the National Cemetery near Warsaw. Pallbearers will be Ralph Chambers, Darin Lutman, Ryan Adams, Ron Jenkins, Edwin Bybee and Kurt Anderson. The family suggests memorial contributions to be made to the Benton County Cancer Fund in care of the funeral home.

Darrell L. Barnes, age 75, of Cole Camp, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2005 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Cole Camp, Missouri. He was born on December 19, 1929, in Henry County, Missouri, the son of Jasper William and Mary Hopkins Barnes.
He made his home in Henry and Benton County all of his life and the pass nine years he has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Cole Camp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lewis and Leland Barnes and two sisters, Lucille Hammond and one died in infancy.
He is survived by two brothers, Ervin Barnes of Warsaw and Lowell Barnes of Cole Camp, two sisters, Lou Ellen Borgman of Odessa and Lila Mae Schroiach of Libby, Montana, numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Kenneth N. Turner, age 76, of Lincoln, Missouri, passed away Thursday morning, January 27, 2005, at the Boone Regional Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born in North Kansas City, Missouri, on April 22, 1928, the son of William Huey and Sarah Matilda O’Dell Turner.
He grew up in North Kansas City, and on November 1, 1947, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Christine Woodroof. He worked as a truck driver for over twenty years, driving his own rig, over-the-road, delivering freight coast-to-coast. He retired from trucking in 1975 and he and his wife worked together in numerous locations, as roving maintenance workers, caretakers, and landscape work for many years. In 2000 they moved to their home near Lincoln, Missouri.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of the home, two sons, Jerry W. Turner, of Lincoln, Missouri, and Kenny Turner, of Windsor, Missouri, three daughters, Layton C. Chance, of Lincoln, Kathy N. Faust, of Windsor and Alice Joyce Hodge, of Corpus Christi, Texas, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one nephew, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 29, 2005, at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, Missouri. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery near Lincoln. Pallbearers are Earl Wayne Pierce, William Eugene Pierce, Jerry W. Turner, Kenneth Revere Turner, Brian Faust, and Kenneth Dale Turner.
