FRANK M. BARBRE, age 68, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System. He was retired from Hughes Aircrafts and was a member of Community Christian Church. He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Carol Barbre of Florida and son, Michael Barbre of California, who will always remember him as a loving and caring father. Mr. Barbre also leaves behind many other friends and family who will miss his gentle spirit and positive outlook on life. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 at Allen Funeral Home. DORIS GIBSON HYDER
DORIS GIBSON HYDER, age 83, of Morristown, passed away Sunday evening, Oct. 31, 2004 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Williams Hyder; parents, C.E. and Omega Gibson; and sisters, Joann Rector and Mildred Jones. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Springvale FCE. Survivors include her sons, Steve Allen Hyder and Rex Williams "Bill" Hyder, Jr. and his wife, Debra H.; one grandson whom she loved so very much, Williams Henderson "Will" Hyder, all of Morristown; brother, Clarence "Hoot" (Norma) Gibson of Greeneville; sister, Mrs. Glen (Alma) Shelton of Tusculum; and several nieces and nephews. WILLIAM DANIE RICHARDS, age 40, of Russellville, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004 at Lakeway Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Alexandra "Hoss" and Sallie Ann (Ashley) Richards; uncles, E.D. and Joe Samuel Richards; aunts, Martha Sexton, Jane Green and Cindy Brewer; and grandparents, Robert Lee and Lethia (Brown) Richards and Robert Lee and Halley (King) Ashley. He is survived by his wife, Judy Ann (Barnette) Richards of the home; two children, Jason Michael Barnette of Russellville and Tracia Michelle (Barnette) Laws and husband, Russell, of Greeneville; four grandchildren, Sara Laws, Abbagail, Haley and Bethany Danielle Barnette; brother, Robert Lee Richards and wife, Betty, of Morristown; three sisters, Nancy Manis and husband, Gene, and Brenda Waye and Bonnie Richards, all of Rogersville; uncles, William Harry Ashley of Ohio and Huey Brown of Rogersville; three aunts, Katherine and William Lawson of Kentucky, Geneva Burns of Rogersville and Serena and Harvey Sauceman of Greeneville; mother and father-in-law, Dora and Earl Barnette of Russellville; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. CHARLES MILLER, age 61, of Whitesburg, passed away Wednesday morning, Nov. 10, 2004 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Elza Mink Miller. DAVID H. LONG, age 56, of Bean Station, passed away suddenly Monday, Nov. 15, 2004 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System. He was of the Baptist faith and will be sadly missed by those who loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Lonas J. Long of Bean Station and two infant brothers. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Judy L. HARRY G. BOWERS
HARRY G. BOWERS, age 80, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer E. and Gertrude Kelsey Bowers; seven brothers; and one sister. Mr. Bowers was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Germany and was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery. Upon returning to the area, Harry established the L&W Café on Main Street, which operated for 50 years. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Survivors include is wife of 58 years, Peggy Rufner Bowers; daughter and son-in-law, Robyn and Josh Pinkston; granddaughter, Andrea Pinkston, all of Morristown; and several nieces and nephews. SALLIE MITCHELL HAUN
SALLIE MITCHELL HAUN, age 90, of Morristown, passed away Monday, Feb. 28, 2005 at her home. She was a charter member of Bridgers United Methodist Church, which later merged with Trinity United Methodist Church in Morristown. She was also a charter member of the United Methodist Women and the Susannah Wesley Sunday School class. She was 50-year member of the Morristown-Whitesburg Chapter #486 of the Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Clyde L. Haun, a prominent local realtor; two sisters, Etta Mae Southerland and Nan Hodge and three brothers, "Buck," Ben and Gene Mitchell. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. William K. (Bobbie) Cain of Morristown and a special friend and caregiver, Mattie Noe. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2 at Allen Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Burnett and the Rev. David Vaughn officiating. Interment

AGNES BRYAN GREENE
AGNES BRYAN GREENE, age 79, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at Life Care Center after short battle with cancer. She was born in 1925 and was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for numerous years. During the 1950s, she was employed by Atomic Energy Commission in Oak Ridge. She retired from the Selective Service System in 1977 after serving as the draft clerk of Hamblen County during the Vietnam Era. At the time of her illness, she was working as a food sampler at Food City on West Andrew Johnson Highway. Agnes thoroughly enjoyed working and being around her many friends. She was secretary/treasurer of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees when she became ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ida Haun Bryan and her brother, Clifford Bryan, who was killed in World War II. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Luke P. Greene; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Lynn and Billie J. Greene and David P. and Janice Greene; grandchildren, Madelyn, Gretchen Elizabeth, Jason and wife, Rene', of Kendallville, Ind. and Jeremiah, Julie and Zoe; great-grandchildren, Maddox, Kara, Matthew and Jordan. She is also survived by a brother, Glenn Bryan; sister, Mary Frank Bryan; special niece (daughter), "Jimmie" Linda Longmire; and several other nieces and nephews. Agnes will be greatly missed by all who knew her; she never spoke unkind words about anyone. She firmly believed if you could not say something nice, don't say anything. She lived this true to the end. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6 at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Howard Shipley and the Rev. Jeffrey Nave officiating. Mrs. Greene's body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the services. Interment

MELZETTA M. LEWIS
MELZETTA M. LEWIS, age 73, of Morristown, entered eternal rest Wednesday, March 2, 2005 after a courageous 15-year battle with lung cancer and heart disease. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward and Marie Collins Ford and a brother, Eugene Ford. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years who never left her side, Robert L. Lewis; daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy and Ron Fox and Kathy and Dewayne Gibson; sons and daughters-in-law, Chip and Laney Lewis and Billy Wayne Lewis; granddaughter, Brandy Cloninger; grandson, Robby Cloninger, Adam and Cory Holt and Chad, Derrick, Spencer and Chandler Lewis and Jessie Atkins; great-grandson, Cleat Lewis; and many special neighbors and friends. Mrs. Lewis will be remembered by her strong will to live, her love of life and the many battles she won to live it. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 5 at Allen Funeral Home. Interment
