Silence My Heart
Silence my heart — Stop it’s aching
For things that use to be,
I cannot wish back the yesterdays.
Or live on borrowed dreams.
Oh Lord, it isn’t easy.
Sadness never is.
But there is a time in the making
Where all dreams will be fulfilled.
The memory of my loved one,
Never will die, or cease.
For God has prepared in Heaven
A place of reunion and peace.
But today is meant for the living
You have much my child to do.
The Lord has work awaiting.
And he has appointed you.
Oh, give me heart, my Heavenly Father.
Give me courage and strength anew.
I am willing to do your bidding.
Lord, My Lord, please see me through.
