Mrs. Beulah Jackson Davis, 96, of Quitman, Ga., died Monday, May 7, 2001, at Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Clara Ruth Williams, of Union City, Calif., and two sisters, Lucille Ausgood Morrell and Cassie Ausgood of Lake City.
Mrs. Davis is survived by one granddaughter, Lori Williams (Levander), Union City, Calif.; nieces, Emma Clark, Louise Hawkins, Lizzie Simmons, all of Lake City, Alice Milner (Jim) of Atlanta and Veronica Ausgood of Lake City; nephews, Mose Hawkins (Jackie), David Hawkins, Wallace Ausgood, Roger Ausgood (Libby Ann), all of Lake City, and Willie Ausgood (Sabrina) of Gainesville.
Services for Mrs. Beulah Jackson Davis were held. Friday, May 11, at Stevens-McGhee Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in Mount Zion Cemetery; Brooks County, Quitman, Ga.

Louise B. Dye
Louise B. Dye, 79, widow of Earl W. Dye of Lake City, died unexpectedly at her home Wednesday, May 2, 2001.
She was born and raised in Connecticut, moved to Florida in 1951 and to Lake City in 1986.
She is survived by her older sister, Mildred B. Soderberg of Lake City; two daughters, Judith (Loren) Moltedo of Havana, and Janice (John) Durrill; two grandchildren, Peter Durrill and Ester (Jimmy) Kite; and a great-grandson, Jimmy Ray Kite Jr., all of Lake City.
A private service for the family was held by Pastor Frank Davis of Melody Christian Center, Live Oak. SHERRILL-GUERRY had charge of the body. Anyone wishing to do so may make a contribution to Hospice in Louise's name.

Henry Jones Sr.
Henry Jones Sr., 50, died Sunday, May 13, 2001, in Lake City.
He was a lifelong resident of Columbia and Suwannee counties and was the son of the late Robert Jones Sr. and Mrs. Mary Crusaw Jones. He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and a 1972 graduate of Branford High School.
Survivors include a devoted companion, Margaret Cooper; children, Henry Cooper, Travis Cooper, Kiara Jones, Brandy Cooper, Fredrick Cooper, Henry Robert Jones and Alphonso Bryant (Tiwanna); one brother, Lorenzo Jones (Faye); five sisters, Gussie Mae Jones (Billy), Rosa Lee Jones, Rolene Williams, Dorothy Wilson (Freddie) and Erna Deloris Gaddis (Terry); six grandchildren, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
Funeral services for Henry Jones Sr. will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at Philadelphia Baptist Church with the Rev. Isadore Williams, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Crusaw Family Cemetery.

Marty Irvin Barrs
Irvin Barrs, 55, died Saturday, May 19, 2001, at his home after an extended illness. The Day native lived most of his life there until he moved to Lake City for the past several years to be closer to his job at Gateway Chevrolet where he was general sales manager. He was a member of the Brewer Lake Baptist Church, Day. He owned the BAR-B Stable and loved horses.
He is predeceased by his father, Willie Julius Barrs, and his brother, Julian Wallace Barrs.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Crawford Barrs, Day; his mother, Mary Bell Barrs, Day; three sons, Todd, Cummings, Ga., Tyson, San Antonio, Texas, and Ricky, Anderson, S.C.; two daughters, Mysti Green, Day, and Kelli Newton, St. Augustine; one brother, Tony Barrs, Day; two sisters, Wanda Bass, Douglasville, Ga., and Sybil Kilpatrick, Middleburg; and 10 grandchildren.
The family and friends will celebrate his life at 1 p.m. Monday, May 21, at the Brewer Lake Baptist Church with the Revs. John Bracken, Delton Kilpatrick and Lavoy Newton. Internment will follow in the Day Cemetery. Visitation was held Sunday, May 20, at the funeral home.
The family has requested that contributions to be made to the Lighthouse Church of God, 865 S. Whitney St., St. Augustine, FL 32084.

Lillian V. Sink
Mrs. Lillian V. Sink, 69, of Lake City died Thursday afternoon, May 19, 2001, in Shands at the University of Florida hospital following an extended illness.
A native of Quincy, Mass., Mrs. Sink had been a resident of Lake City for the past 16 years, having moved here from Hollywood, Fla. Mrs. Sink was a retired switchboard operator, having worked for a hotel chain. She was of the Catholic faith.
Mrs. Sink is survived by her husband of 22 years, William C. "Bill" Sink, Lake City; two sons, Frederick "Lucky" MacLean Jr. (Denise), Lake City, James F. "Jim" MacLean (Gail), Hollywood; a brother, Dick MacDonald, and a sister, Jean Carpenter, of Massachusetts; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Private family services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of the BIGGS FUNERAL HOME, 3801 S. First St., Lake City.

William Wilson Walker
William Wilson Walker, 75, of Fort White passed away Thursday, May 19, 2001, after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Walker was a native of Naples and moved to Fort White in 1989. He was a member of the Fort White Baptist Church, a U.S. Navy veteran, a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans. He loved the outdoors and hunting.
Mr. Walker is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sarah Hyder Walker, Fort White; his son, Robert Walker, Fort Lauderdale; his daughter, Sheila McKinney, Fort White; three brothers, Milton and Bill Walker, both of San Antonio, Texas, and Obie Walker, Menton, Ala.; two sisters, Ella Bowman, Cloudland, Ga., and Cilia Fussel, Menton, Ala.; three grandsons, two granddaughters and one great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, in the Sherrill-Guerry Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James Lightsey officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Florida National Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Monday, May 21. Glen Newton Carver
Glen Newton Carver, 54, of Wellborn passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2001, after a long illness.
The Lake City native lived in Wellborn most of his life. He was a salesman of parts and services, a member of the Elks Lodge of Lake City and member of Mount Beulah Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Carver, Wellborn; one daughter, Julie Gallamore, Wellborn; father, M.B. Carver, Wellborn; one sister, Debra Gamble, Live Oak; one brother, Daryl Carver, Wellborn.
Services were held Saturday, May 19, at Mount Beulah Baptist Church, Wellborn, with the Revs. Charles Knight, Ken Leatherman, Dewight Law and Dale Brannon officiating. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 18. Interment followed in Mount Beulah Cemetery. DANIELS FUNERAL HOME of Live Oak is in charge of all arrangements.

Leroy Moore
Leroy Moore, 72, of Fort White died Sunday, May 20, 2001, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Gainesville.
Mr. Moore was a heavy equipment operator in the rock quarry. He was a Church of God member. He enjoyed farming, fishing and hunting. Mr. Moore was the son of the late Annie Mae Williams Martin, stepson of George M. Martin and grandson of the late Issac James Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Janice D. Moore, Fort White; sons, Leo Moore, Gainesville, Gilbert Moore, High Springs, Roy Andrews and Joseph "Joe" Andrews, both of High Springs; daughters, Brenda Hodge, Holly Conti, Ruby Hampton and Teresa, all of Fort White, Cindy Royall, Bath, Maine, and Linda Weire, Vero Beach; brothers, Dewey Martin, High Springs, and Gene Martin, Fort White; sisters, Sybil Benefield, High Springs, Betty Hunt, Branford, and Alice Parker, Fort White; 23 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at the Fort White Cemetery at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 24, with T.J. Layfield Jr. conducting the service. Burial will be under the direction of EVANS-CARTER Funeral Home.

James Ray Richards II
Mr. James Ray "Jamie" Richards II, 17, of Lake City, died Tuesday, May 22, 2001, from injuries received in an automobile accident south of Lake City, Mr. Richards had resided in Lake City all his life. He was a member of the junior class of Columbia High School, a member of the FFA Columbia Senior Chapter at Columbia High School, where he had shown livestock at the county and state fair level and was on the livestock judging team for the local FFA. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his involvement in farming and livestock.
Survivors include his parents, Ray and Cathy Richards of Lake City; one sister, Jessica Rae Richards of Lake City; maternal grandmother, Julia Ann Townsend of Lake City; maternal great grandmother, Lois Harding of Lake City; and paternal grandmother, Mary Ella Richards of Lake City.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 25, in Hopeful Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Baker, pastor of Hopeful Baptist Church, officiating and assisted by Rev. Lowell O'Steen, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery, Lake City.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 4309 S. First St., Lake City.

Eva Margaret Sherwood
Mrs. Eva Margaret Sherwood, 74, a resident of Lake City, died Sunday, May 20, 2001, at her daughter's residence in Canton, Ga., following a long illness. Mrs. Sherwood was a native of Arcadia, daughter of the late Jessie Daye, and had resided in Lake City for many years. Mrs. Sherwood was an artist who enjoyed painting and crafts. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, an Honorary Conch in Key West and a member of the Atlanta Koy Club.
Mrs. Sherwood was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sherwood. Survivors include: two daughters, Mary (Steve) Campbell of Canton, Ga., and Gladys Jane (Stanley) Crum of Germany; and her mother, Janie Daye of Lake City; and seven grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 25 in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Vasco M. Chastain, Jr., church pastor, officiating.

Evelyn Dickerson
Mrs. Evelyn Dickerson, 51 of Powhatan, Va., died Tuesday, May 22, 2001, in Health South Hospital of Richmond, Va., after an illness.
She was a former resident of Lake City and attended Richardson High School. She was born in Orange Park to the Late Mr. and Mrs. Alphonso and Mary Link.
Survivors include her husband, Norman Dickerson, Powhatan; a daughter, Lashaun Roberson, Atlanta; a son, Larry Freeman Jr.; a stepdaughter, Inga Dickerson Shaw, Chicago; three grandchildren; two sisters, Emma Jean Pedroso, Tampa, and Linda Lee, Gainesville; three brothers, Charles Link, Frankie Link and Elijah Gentry; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at the Church of Christ, 600 North St., with Brother Sampson Genus officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Rest Cemetery. The funeral procession will leave from the residence of Mrs. Williams, 1322 W. Wilson St., at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. RUDOLPH MIZELL FUNERAL HOME, 609 W. Kenneth John Dicks
Mr. Kenneth John Dicks, 17, of Lake City died Tuesday, May 22, 2001, in Shands at Jacksonville hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident south of Lake City.
Ken lived in Lake City all of his life. He was a member of the junior class of Columbia High School and was active in the FFA Columbia Senior Chapter at Columbia High School, where he had shown livestock at the county fair. Ken enjoyed hunting and fishing and had an interest in music. He was a member of Hopeful Baptist Church and had been very involved in carrying on the family farm with his beloved horse, "Buddy."
Survivors include his parents, Kenny and Ann Dicks, Lake City; one brother, Jason Dicks, Lake City; maternal grandmother, Emma Depoe, Lake City; paternal grandmother, Myrtle L. Dicks (widow of the late Kenneth O. Dicks Sr.), Lake City.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, in Hopeful Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Baker, church pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Hopeful Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 25, at the funeral home. Jarrett Lee Drawdy, 3, of Lake City died Wednesday, May 23, 2001.
Jarrett was born in Lake City and attended Chatterbox preschool.
Survivors include his mother, Amy Drawdy; his father, Casey Starling, both of Lake City; grandparents, Gene and Linda Drawdy, Lake City, Dennis and Lynette Starling, Branford, and Cindy and Tony Graham, Lake City; great-grandparents, Guy and Corrine Starling, and Mildred Carter, all of Lake City, Ruth Williams, Branford, Lavern Powell, O'Brien; aunts, Rhonda (Randy) Strickland, and Candace Starling, both of Lake City, Denys Starling and Tara Starling, Branford; uncles, Gene Drawdy, and Chris (Nikki) Starling, Lake City, Dylan Starling, Branford.

Lilla Mary Farnell, 88, of Lake City died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Avalon Nursing Home, Lake City, after an extended illness.

David E. Green
David E. Green, 84, of Lake City died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at Lake City Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Green was a native of Wellborn, lived in Lake City for most of his life and was the son of the late Edward Newton and Mabel Stansel Green. He was the owner and operator of Green's Grocery for 46 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Oleida McKnight Green. Mr. Green was a active member of Lake City Church of God.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-laws, Paulette and (Ralph) Hurst, Lake City, Myrna and (Jerry) Phillips, Butler, Ala.; one brother, Newton Green, Lake City; five grandchildren, Sabrina Hurst and (Hal) Ballew, Tina Hurst, Craig Phillips, Robin Phillips Mozingo and Lindsay Phillips; two great-grandchildren, William Scott Ballew and James Grant Mozingo; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Lake City Church of God with the Revs. Terry Hull and Lonnie Johns officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Garden Cemetery. Mae Bell Jones
Mrs. Mae Bell Jones, 77, of 910 Division St. in Fernandina Beach, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2001, after an extended illness. Mrs. Jones was born in Lake City to the parents of Daisy Smith Harps and Sumpter Harps. She was married to the late Charles Fred Jones, relocated to Fernandina Beach and set up residence in 1946. She was a faithful and dedicated mother of Rehoboth Church of God in Christ under the pastorship of Elder Lionel Cook to the present Pastor Oliver L. Jenkins.
She was the mother of nine children, which two preceded her death.
She leaves to mourn seven devoted and loving children: four daughters, Frances J. Taylor (Randolph), Joanna J. Fulger (Johnny), Lake City; Janet Jones, Fernandina Beach; 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mae Etta Fields, Lake City; a nephew, David Harps, Lake City; a loving and devoted friend, Samuel A. White, Lynchburg, Va.; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, in New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 10 S. 10th St., Fernandina Beach. Interment will be held at Garden of Rest Cemetery in Lake City.

Morris Lindboe
Morris Lindboe, 78, of Lake City died Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at his home after an extended illness. Born in Syracuse, N.Y., he moved to Lake City in 1977, where he was self-employed. He was a veteran of World War II and lifetime member of American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Lamson Lindboe; five sons, Donald T. (Carol), Irvine, Calif., Daniel S. (Ann), Shawnee MSN, Kan., Eric C. of Eagle River, Ark., Michael A. (Dawn) and Peter J. (Laura), Lake City; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Pearo, Pell Lake, Wisc.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 26, in First Presbyterian Church, Lake City, with Dr. Roy Martin officiating. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery, Lake City. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 25, at the Lindboe residence. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church or Columbia County Senior Services.

Broadway Oaks
Mr. Broadway Oaks, 81, of Lake City died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, in Lake City Veterans Affairs Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Oaks was a native of Valley, N.C., and lived in Bainbridge, Ga., before moving to Lake City in 1961. He was the son of the late Charles G. and Ebby J. Hughes Oaks and was employed as a supervisor and aircraft mechanic with Southern Airways, Bainbridge, for 10 years and with Aero Corp., Lake City, for 20 years until his retirement in 1981. He was a member of the West Bainbridge, Ga., Methodist Church and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Meriam Oaks, Lake City; three daughters, Sharon Parker (Terry Burks) and Susan (Jim) Little, both of Lake City, and Sandra Weichart (Bill), Wellborn; one son, Scott (Karen) Oaks, Danville, Va.; three sisters, Verda Hughes, Johnson City, Tenn., Ethel King of Newland, N.C., and Frankie Blair of Hickory, N.C.; 11 grandchildren, Todd Parker, Travis (Jamie) Parker, Staci Brown, Ryan Brown, Lisa (Mike) Frazier, Shellie Lambert, Nita (Matt) Schroader, Dustin Ragans, Ashley Ragans, Kara Oaks and Gavin Oaks; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruby Oaks, Roaring Creek, N.C.; former son-in-law, Tommy Parker, Lake City. Mr. Oaks was preceded in death by a brother, Taylor Oaks and a sister, Hazel Hughes.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26, in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Yates, pastor of Westview Church of God, Lake City, officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Lake City. Viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 25, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 4309 S. First St., Lake City.

Coy Sheppard
Mr. Coy Sheppard, 77, of White Springs passed away Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Lake City Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Mr. Sheppard was a retired telephone communications supervisor and World War II veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Sheppard.

Lilla Mary Farnell
Lilla Mary Farnell of Lake City died Thursday, May 24, 2001, in Avalon Nursing Home.
Ms. Farnell was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Lake City. Ms. Farnell was a member of Everybody's Tabernacle Church.
Survivors include caregivers, Obie and Myrna Brooks, Lake City; and several cousins.
Funeral services for Ms. Farnell will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26, in the Sherrill-Guerry Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Lewis Daniels officiating. David E. Green
David E. Green, 84, of Lake City died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at Lake City Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Green was a native of Wellborn, lived in Lake City for most of his life and was the son of the late Edward Newton and Mabel Stansel Green. He was the owner and operator of Greens Grocery for 46 years. He is proceeded in death by his wife, Oleida McKnight Green. Mr. Green was a active member of Lake City Church of God.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-laws, Paulette and (Ralph) Hurst, Lake City, Myrna and (Jerry) Phillips, Butler, Ala.; one brother, Newton Green, Lake City; five grandchildren, Sabrina Hurst and (Hal) Ballew, Tina Hurst, Craig Phillips, Robin Phillips Mozingo and Lindsay Phillips; two great-grandchildren, William Scott Ballew and James Grant Mozingo; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, May 25, in Lake City Church of God with the Revs. Terry Hull and Lonnie Johns officiating. Interment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Garden Cemetery. Coy Sheppard
Mr. Coy Sheppard, 77, of White Springs passed away Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Lake City Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Mr. Sheppard was a retired telephone communications supervisor and World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Sheppard.

Charles L. Glass Jr.
Mr. Charles L. Glass Jr., 83, of Lake City, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at his home.
Mr. Glass, formerly of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Columbia City, Ind., was born April 16, 1918 in Huntington, Ind. He was a freight conductor for Conrail for 42 years and retired in 1979. He was a member of the Fort Wayne Kiwanis Club, United Transportation Local 724 and was an avid golfer.
Survivors include: three daughters, Pat Scheiman, New Haven, Ind., Jackie Colburn, Leesburg, Ind., Cynthia Vassey, Cherry Hill, N.J.; one son, Dennis R. Glass, Columbia City, Ind.; two sisters, Ruth Vogel, Sun City, Ariz., Polly Ascro, LaGrange Park, Ill.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Glass was predeceased by his wife, five brothers and sisters and one grandson.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Covington Memorial Gardens. Interment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Ind.

Peter Mann 'P.M.' Dukes
Mr. Peter Mann "P.M." Dukes, 82, of Lake Butler died Monday morning, May 28, 2001, at Lake City Veterans Affairs Medical Center after an extended illness.
Mr. Dukes was born in Union County, where he was a lifelong resident. He was a retired farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and also an Air Force veteran. He was a member of Harmony Freewill Baptist Church.
Mr. Dukes is survived by his wife, Helen Waters Dukes, Lake Butler; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary D. and Stephen M. Parsons, Lake City; two sisters, Annie Willis, Alachua, and Lula Boyd, Briceville; one granddaughter, Amy Parsons, Lake City; one grandson, Kevin M. Parsons of the U.S. Navy in Norfolk, Va.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, in the chapel of Archer Funeral Home, Lake Butler, with the Rev. Joe Bowls officiating. Burial will follow at Elzey Chapel Cemetery near Worthington Springs. ARCHER FUNERAL HOME of Lake Butler is in charge of arrangements. Brenda Porter Harwell
Brenda Porter Harwell, 35, passed away suddenly Sunday, May 27, 2001.
She was a lifelong resident of the beaches.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin Harwell; son, Zacharia David; stepson, Daniel; parents, Dean and David Decker and William and Lillian Porter; brothers, Billy (Julie), Rory and Clay Carroll; sisters, Martha (Martin) Petrie and Debbie Fields; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Beach United Methodist Church, 325 N. Seventh Ave., Jacksonville Beach, with the Rev. Bill Baldwin officiating. The family requests that people not send flowers.

Alice Mary Allfrey
Alice Mary Allfrey, 79, of Lake City died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at Lake City Medical Center after an extended illness.
Mrs. Allfrey had resided in Lake City for 17 years, coming from Farmington, N.H. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of Epiphany Catholic Church. Mrs. Allfrey was a member of CCD, RCIA, FCE Gators Club and Golden Age of Columbia County. She enjoyed crafts and sewing.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Leslie F. Allfrey, Lake City; three sons, Fred (Cathy) Allfrey, Middleton, N.H.; Tim (Michelle) Allfrey, Farmington; Steven (Raquell) Allfrey, Tampa; three daughters, Kathleen (David) Hensley, Lake City, Anne Dewing, Greensburg, Penn., and Marie (David) Lefebvre, Rochester, N.H.; three sisters: Theresa Freeman, Rosendale, Mass., Claire Dalia, Hyde Park, Mass., and Catherine Bonfilo, Reedsville, Mass.; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be announced. Mr. Dallas Fulton, 48, of Lake City died Monday, May 28, 2001, in the emergency room at Shands at Lake Shore hospital after an illness.
Dallas was born May 16, 1953, to Mrs. Annie Laura Fulton and the late Deacon Alvin Fulton. He graduated from Columbia High School in 1973 and attended Freewill Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Annie Laura Fulton; five brothers, Daniel, Jim, Frankie, George and Robert Fulton, all of Lake City; six sisters, Gertha Perry, Rosa Clark, Jacalyn Fulton, Laura Ann Turner, all of Lake City, Mary Ann Johnson, Orlando, Virginia Fulton, Old Town; sisters-in-law, Mildred Fulton, Patricia Fulton, Lucenda Fulton, all of Lake City, and Mary Lee Fulton, Jacksonville; brothers-in-law, Alton Perry, Andre Sheppard, Raymond Turner, all of Lake City, and Lorenzo George, Old Town; uncle, J.P. Richard A. Satterfield
Richard A. Satterfield, 88, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, Ga.
Born in Newbern, N.C., Mr. Satterfield lived in Lake City for 13 years, having moved from Weekie Wachee River. Mr. Satterfield, a Baptist, was a professional golfer who, along with his wife, Emma, owned Par 3 Golf Center in Lakeland. Mr. Satterfield was also a World War II Army Air Force veteran.
Mr. Satterfield is survived by his wife of 53 years, Emma; one son, Robin Satterfield, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Edith Nell Dickens Camp
Mrs. Edith Nell Dickens Camp, 96, of Lake City died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, in The Health Center of Lake City following an extended illness.
Mrs. Camp was a native of Vidalia, Ga., and lived in Lake City since 1918. She was the daughter of the late Emmett Charles John Dickens and Vida Victoria Hunt Dickens and widow of the late John Camp. She was employed as a school teacher and taught speech classes in Hillsborough, Baker and Columbia counties for many years until her retirement. She attended Florida State College for Women in Tallahassee, was an honorary member of the Women's Club of Lake City and was a member of First Baptist Church in Lake City, where she sang in the church choir for more than 30 years.
Survivors include her son, Walter H. (Phyllis) Skinner, Lake City; one grandson, John (Karen) Skinner, Middleburg; two granddaughters, Mary Ann (Tommy) Tompkins and Vicki (Chris) Umstead, both of Lake City; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Margie Tully, Lakeland; and one brother, Randolph Dickens, Raleigh, N.C. Mrs. Camp was preceded in death by two brothers, Hyman Dickens and Jack Dickens, and her grandson, Skip Skinner.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 1, in Memorial Cemetery, Lake City, with the Rev. Carson Brittain officiating. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 4309 S. Allie V. Johnson, 91, of Lake City died Thursday, May 31, 2001, at Lake City Medical Center after an extended illness.
Mrs. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Columbia County. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of First Baptist Church, Lake City. She enjoyed cooking.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Rogers and Betty Lou Strickland, both of Lake City; two sons, George Johnson and Arthur Johnson, both of Lake City; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, in the Sherrill-Guerry Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Carson Brittain officiating. Linda Gail Grinstead
Mrs. Linda Gail Grinstead, 48, of Lake City died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, in North Florida Regional Medical Center, Gainesville, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Grinstead was a native of Lake City and lived in Mayo before moving back to Lake City in 1976. She was the daughter of the late Leonard O'Steen and was employed as production operations assistant III with Moltech Power Systems, Gainesville, for the last 27 years. She was a 1971 graduate of Lafayette County High School, Mayo, and member of Hopeful Baptist Church, Lake City.
Survivors include her husband, Ricky Grinstead, Lake City; her daughter, Lisa (Fred) Cruz, Jacksonville; her son, Matt Grinstead, Lake City; her mother, Edna Smith, Mayo; two sisters, Nellie Brown, Mayo and Elaine Roper, Jacksonville; two brothers, Lonnie O'Steen, Lake City, and Larry O'Steen, Mayo.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, in Hopeful Baptist Church, Lake City, with the Rev. Rodney Baker, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Midway Cemetery, Lafayette County. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 1, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 4309 S. First St., Lake City.
