Robert F. Bricker
Robert F. Bricker, "Magic Bob," 75, of Trenton passed away at his home Tuesday, June 19, 2001.
Mr. Bricker was born in Akron, Ohio, and moved to Trenton 32 years ago. He was an electrician and entertainer. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife of three years, Doris Bricker of Trenton; children, Joe Bricker of Mansfield, Mo., Marie Stanley of Jacksonville, Robert Bricker II of Archer and Eugene L. Rondeau of Trenton; and brother, Jim Hiller of Michigan.
A memorial service will be held at Fort White Church of God at 2 p.m. Friday, June 22. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his name to Hospice of North Central Florida.
John Henry Myrick
John Henry Myrick, 69, of Trilby died Monday, June 18, 2001, at his home.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Trilby. He worked for Huckabay Chevrolet as a mechanic for more than 20 years, then as mechanic for Oakley Groves for 10 years. He last worked for Sandbar Groves before retiring. He was a member of the Scottish Rite in Tampa and Egypt Temple Shrine in Tampa.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Joyce; son, John Myrick III and his wife, Debbie, of Trilby; daughter, Donna Myrick of Plant City; sisters, Mildred Henck of Jacksonville, Johnell Mills of Cape Coral and Julia Wilkens of Crestview; and grandson, John Myrick IV. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Harrington.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at Heart Center Church of God with the Rev. Gerald Justus officiating. Burial will follow in Trilby Cemetery. James Ivan Tyre, 66, of Lake City died Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Tyre was a lifelong resident of Lake City and is the son of the late Marvin and Lillie Lee McMichael Tyre. He was in the U.S. Army, serving in Korea. He had worked for Donald Lee and Associates. He is preceded in death by a sister, Doris Shipp, and a brother, Marvin Tyre Jr.

Mr. Hubert Griffis
Mr. Hubert Griffis, 87, of rural Raiford, died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at his residence after an extended illness.
Mr. Griffis was born near Raiford where he was a lifelong resident. He was a farmer and retired as a correctional officer from Union Correctional Institution in Raiford. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Della Kosut, and a son, Aaron Griffis.
Mr. Griffis is survived by: his wife, Ruby Varnes Griffis of Raiford; three daughters, Nella Durham, Doris Godwin and Betty Ann Proveaux, all of Lake City; two sons, Carl Griffis of Raiford and Ellis Griffis of Starke; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Seeber Alvin Johns
Mr. Seeber Alvin Johns, 79, of Lake Butler died Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at Shands at Alachua General Hospital in Gainesville after an extended illness.
Mr. Johns was born in Bradford County and lived near Lake Butler most of his life. He was a farmer and owned and operated Johns 76 Service Station in Lake Butler for 40 years before his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Lake Butler.
Mr. Johns is survived by his wife, Nina Lee Croft Johns of Lake Butler; three daughters, Teresa L. Johns of Ormond Beach, Mary Lee O'Steen and Sue (David) Stalnaker of Lake Butler; one son, Sam (Aliene) Johns of Lake Butler; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth Jeanne Cobb, 66, of Lake City died Thursday morning, June 21, 2001, at her home after a brief illness.
She was born in West Palm Beach and lived most of her life in Fort Lauderdale. She was employed with the sheriff's office and state attorneys office until she retired. She was a warrant officer. She attended North Lake City Church of God.
She is survived by her brother, William A. Cobb III of Lake City; two nephews, William A. Cobb IV and wife, Thea, and Richard D. Cobb; one niece, Romaine Thoemodson and husband, Craig; two great-nieces and one great-nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Archer Funeral Home, Lake Butler, with the Rev. O.E. Hunter officiating. Mr. Rufus Ryals, 65, of Lake City died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at Vencor Hospital in Green Cove Springs, terminating a brief illness.
He was the son of the late Rufus Henry Ryals Sr. and Rutha Bell Wilbur Ryals.
Survivors include a special companion, Bethia Joyce Holloway of Lake City; a son, Solomon C. Williams (Loretta) of Lake City; two daughters, Betty Parrera (Mike) and Brenda Johnson (Ricky), both of Ocala; two step-daughters, Adel Hopkins (Clarence) of Ocala and Gwendolyn Deloris Williams of Gainesville; one sister, Rutha Mae of Fort Myers; two brothers, Willie Edison of Fort Myers and Wardell Edison Sr. of Lehigh Acres; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Oveda 'Mikki' Robinson Marcus
Oveda "Mikki" Robinson Marcus, 30, of Jacksonville, a former resident of Lake City, died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at Shands Hospital at The University of Florida in Gainesville following an extended illness.
Born in Columbia County, she was the daughter of Macy Montgomery and Clarence Robinson Jr. She attended public schools in Columbia County and was attending Florida Junior College in Jacksonville. Mikki, as she was so well known among her friends, was employed by the Duval County Sheriff's Office for the past 8 years and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, Lake City.
Survivors include her parents, Macy Montgomery and Clarence Robinson Jr. (Patricia) of Palatka; a daughter, Alexis Marcus of Jacksonville; devoted grandparents, Clarence and Gwendolyn Robinson of Lake City; a sister, Lanette Montgomery; four brothers, Travis Bowles of Atlanta, Baalim Zarah (Nekeshia) of Jacksonville, Bryan Robinson and Christopher Robinson of Palatka; two aunts, Maenell Bailey (Timothy) and Natalyn White (James) both of Lake City, an uncle, Ronald Robinson (Sharlene) of Atlanta; a great-great-aunt; four great-aunts; two nieces; a nephew and numerous cousins and sorrowing friends.

Ralph O. Adams
Ralph O. Adams, 66, of Lake City, died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at Shands at Alachua General Hospital in Gainesville following a brief illness.
A native of Indiantown, Mr. Adams was the son of the late Charles Carlos and Mabel Ruth Pitts Adams. He had lived in West Palm Beach for many years before moving to Lake City 22 years ago.
Retired from BellSouth, Mr. Adams was a member of the telephone pioneers and enjoyed hobbies such as woodworking, fishing and gardening. He was a devoted Christian and a deacon at Christian Heritage Church, Lake City.
Mr. Adams is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia Lee "Pat" Adams of Lake City; two daughters, Cindy D. Adams (Koby) of Lake City and Peggy A. Baskette (Artie) of Leesburg; three brothers, Montie Adams (Linda) and Greg Adams (Sue), both of Lake City, and Virgil Adams (Beth) of Corpus Christi, Texas; two uncles, Cortez Pitts (Thelma) of Wauchula and Arthur Pitts (Arnetta) of Lake City; and four grandchildren, Ashley and Daniel Adams of Lake City and Austin and Adam Baskette of Leesburg.
Funeral services for Mr. Adams will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the Christian Heritage Church in Lake City with Terry Shiver, pastor, officiating and Wayne Hancock Jr. assisting. Interment

Albert W. Gosnell, 79, of Lake City died Sunday, June 24, 2001, at a Lake City hospital.
Born in Winfield, Md., he moved to Lake City in 1985 from Delray Beach. Mr. Gosnell was a carpenter with Theo. Roth Construction Co. in Delray Beach. He was a member of Carson Methodist Church, Delray Beach, and the Moose Lodge, Lake City.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Treva; two brothers, Bernard Gosnell of Sykesville, Md., and Carroll Gosnell of Riverside, Calif.; and one sister, Eleanor Haines of Westminster, Md.
Elsie Rhoda Siver
Elsie Rhoda Siver, 74, of Fort White died Monday, June 25, 2001, at Vencor Hospital in Green Cove Springs.
Mrs. Siver had resided in Fort White since 1972, coming from Alachua. She was a native of Douglas, Ga. Mrs. Siver was a member of Hopeful Baptist Church, Lake City.
Mrs. Siver is survived by one son, Mike Siver of Lake City; two daughters, Sharon (Ken) Ivey of Fort White and Susan (Loren) Bentley of Lake City; three brothers, Tim Bowen of Pensacola, Sylvester Bowen Jr. of Lavonia, Ga. and Eddie Ray Bowen of Lake City; one sister, Velma Coates of Lake City; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Johnny Crews Thomas, 66, of Lake City, died Monday, June 25, 2001, at Lake City Medical Center after an extended illness.
Mr. Thomas was a lifelong resident of Lake City and member of Deep Creek Advent Christian Church. He was also in regular attendance of Prospect Primitive Baptist Church in White Springs. He was the son of the late R.J. and Tilly Brady Crews.
Survivors include his mother, Lollie Thomas of Lake City; two brothers, Buddy Marion (Oudra) Thomas of Lake City and Howard (Trish) Thomas of Lake City; one sister, Marie Tomlin of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.

Lewis H. Wilds Jr.
Mr. Lewis H. Wilds Jr., 52, of Lake City died early Tuesday morning, June 26, 2001, at his residence following an extended illness.
A native of Live Oak, Mr. Wilds had been a resident of Lake City for the last 10 years, having moved from Lake Butler. Mr. Wilds worked as a long-distance truck driver, then as a coordinator for Suwannee Medical for the last five years prior to ill health forcing him to retire. Mr. Wilds was known for his great sense of humor and loved to paint, fish and go to the flea market. Mr. Wilds was a Christian.
Mr. Wilds is survived by his mother, Mrs. Edith Greek Wilds of Lake City; two brothers, Jesse Wilds of Los Angeles and David Wilds of Lake City; three sisters, Linda Ham of Chipley, Deborah Williams of St. Augustine and Mary Ulicky (Jeff) of Lake City; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friends, Larry and Eric and Peggy Starnes, all of Lake City.

Linda Worley Dublinski
Mrs. Linda Worley Dublinski, 54, of Lake City, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Dublinski, a devoted and loving wife, was born June 4, 1947, in St. Petersburg. She resided in Northford, Conn., with her husband prior to moving to Lake City in 1995. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Lee Worley and sister to the late Joaquin "Joe" Worley, both of Lake City.
Survivors include her husband, Alex C. Dublinski of Lake City, her stepson, Scott A. Dublinski of Wallingford, Conn.; her mother, Mearline Worley of Dubach, La.; two sisters, Betty (John) Bryant of Kissimmee and Ramona (Ben) Hebert of Lake City; sister-in-law, Beth Worley of Lake City; brothers-in-law, Steve (Marsha) Dublinski of Chesapeake, Va., Stanley Dublinski of Tobyhanna, Penn., and Sam (Carol) Dublinski of Tannersville, Penn.; and mother-in-law, Henrietta Dublinski of Tobyhanna.
Celebration of life services will be conducted at CHRIST CENTRAL MINISTRIES, Dyal Road, Lake City, at 11 a.m. Saturday. Final disposition will be by cremation. Irma Nodes Billinger
Mrs. Irma Nodes Billinger, 72, of Lake City died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at her residence following a short battle with cancer.
Mrs. Billinger was a native of New Jersey, daughter of the late Norman and Maria Fourre' and resided in Lake City since 1969. Mrs. Billinger had been employed by the state of Florida until her retirement in 1997. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, and enjoyed square dancing and horseback riding. Mrs. Billinger was preceded in death by one brother, Norman Fourre' Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Jay Billinger; three sons, Tom (Ann) Nodes of Martinsville, N.J., Mark (Pat) Nodes of Lake City and Clay (Valerie) Nodes of Perry, Ga.; one daughter, Loretta Little of Lake City; three brothers, Carl (Winnie) Fourre' of Paris, Ky., Don (Donna) Fourre' of Waco, Ky., and Ed (Pat) Fourre' of Jackson, Wyo.; three sisters, Joan (Bob) Loeffler of High Springs, Helen (Chuck) Broughton of St. Petersburg and Antoninette (Ivan) Clyatt of Lake City; and five grandchildren.

Helen Sybil Mings Lockett, 81, of Lake City died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at Shands Teaching Hospital, Gainesville, after a brief illness.
A native of West Frankfort, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Ora Everett and Beatrice Heathman Mings. Mrs. Lockett was a resident of Lake City since 1962. She was a member of The Women's Club of Lake city and a Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church of Lake City.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Edgar N. Lockett Jr.; four sons, Edgar N. Lockett III of Johnson City, Tenn., Col. John S. Lockett, M.D., of Tampa, Lt. Col. David Lee Lockett of Niceville and Jerry Alan Lockett of Orlando; two brothers, Emerson Mings of West Frankfort and Clyde Larry Mings of Sarasota; five sisters, Ruth M. Goddard of West Frankfort, Berniece M. Donnelly of Crestwood, Mo., Betty M. Harris of West Frankfort, Verla M. Billingsley of Webster Groves, Mo., and Blondell M. Kern of Sarasota; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Jewel M. Webb Glass, 89, of Lake City, died late Sunday evening, July 1, 2001, at her residence following an extended illness.
A native of Blakely, Ga., Mrs. Glass had been a resident of Lake City since 1979, having moved from Tampa. Mrs. Glass was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, sewing, cooking and caring for all of her family. She attended Watertown Congregational Methodist Church in Lake City. Mrs. Glass was predeceased by her husband, Hayward Glass, and a son, Donald Glass.
Mrs. Glass is survived by two daughters, Agnes Harris of Newport News, Va.; Patricia Nail and her husband, W.E. "Buddy" Nail, of Lake City; a sister, Estelle Davis of Winter Park; grandchildren, Mary Ann and Jim Reimer of Oklahoma, Carolyn Sue and Alex Semiglasow of Texas, Linda Wheeler of Mayo, Richard and Ann Nail of Lake City, Steve and Patty Nail of Lake City, Sonny and Scott Glass and Ginger Fields, all of Tampa; 12 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Arnett Mack Young of White Springs passed away Friday, June 29, 2001, in Shands Medical Center in Gainesville.
