Mrs. Kovach, a homemaker, was born in Franklin, N.J. She was a Protestant.
She is survived by sons William J., Sussex, N.J., Gary J., Glenwood, N.J., James F., Moontownship, Pa.; and daughter Marilyn J. Honins, Hope, N.J.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

James L. Oliver
FRUITLAND PARK - James L. "Jim" Oliver, 71, died Dec. 2 [2001].
Mr. Oliver was born in Detroit, Mich., and moved to Fruitland Park from Rochester, Mich., in 1983. He was former manager of Sun Central Realty of Lady Lake; former owner of a Frito-Lay distributorship in Lansing, Mich.; former manager of Simon Real Estate, Lansing; member of the American Legion, VFW, the Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Bodies and Shriners of Lansing; former Eaton County commissioner in Michigan; former Delta Township trustee; former Eaton County deputy sheriff, and vice chairman of the Eaton County Republican Party. He was an avid golfer and bowler and his team was a participant in the Michigan State Championships. He also was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Morrison United Methodist Church, Leesburg.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie J.; sons Matthew J., Fort Myers, Fla., Mark J., Houston, Texas; daughters Rebecca O. Carter, Farmington Hills, Mich., Cindy O. Capsanes, Apopka. Fla., Colleen K. Butler, Longwood, Fla.; sisters JoAnn Starke, Wayne, Mich., Sharon Olson, Traverse City, Mich., Susan Padovich, Northville, Mich. and 10 grandchildren.
Memorial services for Mr. Oliver will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, at Morrison United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Barry Lane, officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5. Interment, with full military honors conducted by Lake County War Veterans Honor Guard, will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla.

LADY LAKE - Joseph Urick, 92, died Dec. 1 [2001].
Mr. Urick was born in East McKeesport, Pa., and moved to Lady Lake from Monroeville, Pa., in 1989. He was a retired crane operator for commercial and industrial construction companies and a former member of Local Union No. 324, Detroit, Mich. He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, Lady Lake.
He is survived by sons Joseph Jr., Melbourne, Fla., James, Oviedo, Fla.; brothers George, Indian River, Mich., Billy, Monroeville, Pa., Nick, Apollo, Pa., Johnny, Palm Springs, Calif., Michael, Monroeville, Pa.; sisters Catherine Vusic, Pittsburgh, Pa., Sister Gabrielle, Ohio; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

LEESBURG - Patricia F. Benoit, 72, died Dec. 1 [2001].
Mrs. Benoit was born in Chicago, Ill., and moved to Leesburg from Carol Stream, Ill., in 1996. She was a retired office manager for Magic Chef in Illinois, and a Catholic.
She is survived by husband John F.; daughters Paula Meyer, Buffalo Grove, Ill., Lea Rodriguez, Schiller Park, Ill., Patricia Colandrea, Chicago, Ill., Kathlen Crowther, Buffalo Grove, Ill.; stepson John H., Sunnyvale, Calif.; stepdaughters Cynthia Riesing, Arlington Heights, Ill., Susan Mandigo, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Elizabeth Paul, Desplaines, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren.

Davena M. Kellner
THE VILLAGES - Davena M. Kellner, 89, died Dec. 2 [2001].
Mrs. Kellner was born in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, and moved to The Villages from Willow Grove, Pa., in 1987. She was a retired English professor for 27 years at Harcum Junior College, Bryn Mawr, Pa., a member of the American Association of University Women, a graduate of the University of Toronto and Villanova University, Philadelphia, Pa., and an avid bridge player and artist. She was a member of North Lake Presbyterian Church, Lady Lake, Fla.
She is survived by her husband Hugh L., and son Robert H., Roswell, Ga.
Memorial services for Mrs. Kellner will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, at Beyers Funeral Chapel, Lady Lake, with Dr. Lee Leeder officiating.

George Holder
BELLEVIEW — George L. Holder, 87, died June 3, 2002.
Mr. Holder was born in Santa Fe, Fla., and moved to Belleview from Alachua County in 1941. He was a retired teacher and school administrator for the Marion County School System, retiring in 1973; a member of First Baptist Church, Summerfield; Gideons International; formerly active in prison ministry at Marion County Jail and the Juvenile Detention Center.
Survivors include his wife Janice D.; sons Larry B., M.D., Murphy, N.C., Lamar W., Belleview, Daniel H., Fletcher, N.C.; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

INVERNESS — Delores Haverlack, 84, died June 3, 2002.
Mrs. Haverlack was born in Barberton, Ohio and moved to Inverness in 1983. She was a retired comptroller with Wright Tool & Forge; and a Baptist.
Survivors include her brother Noel Grimm, The Villages.
National Cremation Society, Fruitland Park, is in charge of arrangements.

Gordon Gifford
LEESBURG — Gordon Weston Gifford, 82, died Saturday, June 1, 2002.
Mr. Gifford was born in Summerset, Mass., and moved from Rumford, R.I. in 1979. He was a retired manufacturing representative for J.C. Hall Bank Lithographers; a member of 32 degree Masonic Lodge #36, Oklahoma City, Okla.; a member of the Palestine Shrine Temple, Cranston, R.I.; a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II; and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Leesburg.
Survivors include his cousin Anne Broadley, Fort Myers, and godson Timothy A. Broadley, Nashua, N.H.
Memorial services for Mr. Gifford will be announced at a later date.

Gloria Hamilton
OCKLAWAHA — Gloria Jean Hamilton, 56, died June 3, 2002.
Mrs. Hamilton was born in Shelby, Mich., and moved to Ocklawaha from Arizona in 1982; was employed as a forklift driver; and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her parents Louis S. and Florella A. Webb, Ocklawaha; sons Louis S. Dykes, Belleview, Christopher D. Dykes, Arizona; sister Charlene Freude, California; brother Stanley R. Webb, Florida; and ten grandchildren.

Selma Driscoll
THE VILLAGES — Selma Driscoll, 96, died Saturday, June 1.
Mrs. Driscoll was born in New York City, N.Y. and moved to The Villages from Siesta Key in 1997. She was a retired registered nurse; active in the Red Cross for 65 years; and a Catholic.
Survivors include her son William Carr Whipp, III, The Villages.

Clifford Robedeaux
THE VILLAGES — Clifford A. Robedeaux, 82, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002.
Mr. Robedeaux was born in Milwaukee, Wis. He was a retired owner/operator of a real estate agency; a member of Kiwanis, Rotary, Knights of Columbus; a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a Purple Heart recipient; and a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife Janis C.; daughter Michele Mische, Milwaukee; son Scott, Portland, Ore.. sister Kathleen Robedeaux and Mary Ellen Kramer, both of Milwaukee; and two grandchildren.

Bertha Skluzacek
LAKELAND, Minn. — Bertha Elizabeth Skluzacek, 80, died June 1, 2002.
Mrs. Skluzacek was a winter resident of The Villages. She was co-owner of Kasco Marine and a member of the bridge club.
Survivors include her husband William; daughters Sandra Ferrian and Karen Riley; sons Richard and Paul; sister Agnes Heinz; 12 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 6, at St. Francis of Assisi in Lake St. Croix Beach, Minn. Interment will be in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minn.

Richard Sloan
THE VILLAGES — Richard Lee Sloan, 73, died Sunday, June 2, 2002.
Mr. Sloan was born in Columbus, Ohio and moved to The Villages from Bellefontaine, Ohio in 1996. He was an insurance agent, owner of Sloan Insurance Agency, and professional musician. He was a member of American Federation of Musicians Local 320, Lima, Ohio; president of Independent Insurance Association, Ohio 1985-86; Lake Sentinel Community Band, Lake County Swing Band The Recalls, The Trumpet Blues and other groups; and a member of Community Methodist Church, Fruitland Park.
Survivors include his wife Winifred A.; sons Eric, Marion, Ohio, Brian, Loveland, Ohio, Bernard Oder, Mary Ester; daughter Teri Hauck, Deltona, Michelle Hadley, Westerville, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, June 18 at Community Methodist Church, Fruitland Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice Foundation of Lake & Sumter, Inc., 12300 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778 or your own personal charity.

Carol Lewis
WILMINGTON, Ohio — Carol Eliza Lewis, 76, formerly of The Villages, died Monday, June 3, 2002.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Jamestown, N.Y. and had moved to The Villages from Akron, Ohio.
Survivors include sons Jeryl Griehm, Wilmington, Thom Griehm, Jamestown; sisters Ellen Scott, Sacramento, Calif., Shirley Simpson, Jamestown; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Faith Lutheran Church in Wilmington at a later date.

D. Donald Page
LEESBURG — D. Donald Page, 87, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002.
Mr. Page was born in Rome, N.Y. He was the superintendent at a paper manufacturing company. He was a member of the Lions Club. He was a past master and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Portage Lodge 220, Hollidaysburg, Pa. He was a member of the Jaffa Mosque, Altoona, Pa. He was an avid golfer. He was very active in the First Presbyterian Church, Silver Springs Shores, for 20 years and served as the treasurer for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Edna R. Page, Leesburg; sons James R. Page, Lincoln, Calif., Mark Page, Chalfont, Pa.; brothers Joe Page, Rome, N.Y., Salvatore Page, Rome, N.Y.; sisters Delores Oppito, Rome, N.Y., Grace Page, Rome, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services for Mr. Page will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Town Hall at Lake Port Square, Leesburg. Interment will be at the Beyers Funeral Home Crematory, Leesburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Lake & Sumter, 12300 Lane Park Road, Tavares, Fl., 32278.

SUMMERFIELD — Eliza R. Ketron, 88, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002.
Mrs. Ketron was born in Whitley County, Ky., and moved to Summerfield from Williamstown, Ky., in 1999. She was a retired presser in the clothing manufacturing industry, and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include daughters Joyce Sharp, Ft. Myers, Alma J. Parsons, Summerfield, Ima Jean Miller, Pleasant Plaines, Ohio, Judy Burns, Cincinnati, Ohio; sons Archie Hamblin, Williamstown, Ky., Roy, Ralph and Curtis, all of Ft. Myers; 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Gertrude Morgan
THE VILLAGES — Gertrude “Peg” E. Morgan, 94, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002.
Mrs. Morgan was born in Jackson, Mich., and moved to Central Florida from Elmhurst, Ill., in 1999. She was a retired librarian and a member of Oxford Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her daughter Barbara Cave, Burlington, Iowa; son James, Pensacola; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Oxford Assembly of God Church, 12114 North U.S. Highway 301, Oxford, FL 34484.

Tillie Salle
THE VILLAGES — Tillie D. Salle died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002.
Mrs. Salle was born in Tulsa, Okla., and attended the University of Missouri School of Journalism. After living most of their married lives in Wichita, Kan., she and husband Alvin moved to The Villages in 1997. They are members of Hebrew Congregation, Wichita, Kan., The New Jewish Congregation in The Villages, Temple B’nai Darom, Ocala, Wichita Art Museum, North Miami Art Museum, The Appleton Museum of Art and she had an abiding interest in the arts.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin; two sons, David Salle and his companion, Sarah French of Sagaponak, Long Island, N.Y., and Marc Salle and Briana Beuke, Kansas City, Mo.; granddaughters Taylor and Nora, Kansas City, Mo.; sister-in-law Sylvia Brown, Tulsa, Okla.; in-laws, Irv and Lois Beinhorn and Annabelle Rosen, Bal Harbor; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services for Tillie Dean Salle will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, at the New Jewish Congregation, The Villages, with Mr. Sheldon Skurow and Rabbi Harold Jaye officiating. Interment will be at Temple B’Nai Darom, Ocala, at 12:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The New Jewish Congregation, P.O. Box 487, The Villages, FL 32158, where a memorial has been established.

Huena Boyd
LADY LAKE — Huena Rose “Neen” Boyd, 75, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002. She was a homemaker and was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada. She moved to Lady Lake from Boston, Mass., in 1988 and was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church of Lady Lake.
Mrs. Boyd is survived by husband, Charles; three sons, Charles III, Milton, Mass., Richard, Abington, Mass., and Thomas, Walpole, Mass.; two daughters, Ruth Benker, Vienna, Va., Barbara Cohen, Beverly Farms, Mass.; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Huena Rose “Neen” Boyd will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Lady Lake, with Deacon Nick Deutsch officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 12 to 2 p.m.

Winston Tallant
WILDWOOD — Winston Neal Tallant, 74, died on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002.
Mr. Tallant was born in Serepta, Miss., and moved to Wildwood from Hollywood in 1990. He was retired as a self-employed construction worker and attended the First Baptist Church of Wildwood.
Survivors include his wife, Frances; a son, Alan, Cathage, N.C.; three daughters, Beth Schuck, Coopers City, Charlotte Tallant, Weston, and Anita Boyer, Wildwood; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
Funeral services for Winston Neal Tallant will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Craig Attaway and the Rev. Claud McAdams officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Wildwood.

Marion Rigdon
BELLEVIEW — Marion Russell Rigdon, 75, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002.
Mr. Rigdon was born in Umatila and was a soldier in the U.S. Army serving during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; four sons, Marion Jr., Chesterfield, S.C., Marlin, Marvin and David, all of Belleview; a brother, Wilber, Trenton; and seven grandchildren.
